Best gym in Gilroy! They recently added new equipment, built a new sauna for mens and have the best customer service in town! Manager Kamila is so welcoming and always greets you with her big smile - she always listen to my needs, checks me in knowing my name without even using the app and addresses any concerns immediately!
Her Staff is amazing too!! Aldo and I think another guy - Andreas (I see them when I come to the the gym in the early mornings or late at night) - they are always so positive and even helped me to choose the right equipment when I needed it! Highly recommend! 10/10!!

I started teaching Zumba at Valley Fitness this year, and the students and other instructors (Kamila and DC) have been very welcoming and supportive. We are always striving to ɓuild community with our students and make sure our classes are a lot of fun, as well as a good workout.
In addition to offering Zumba classes, the rest of the facility is enormous and has every kind of weightlifting and cardio equipment imaginable. Plus they have raquetball courts and saunas, which are unique ammenities.

I can't believe that at the gym where I've been training for over 6 years, the manager is racist towards Hispanic people. This is the second time I've seen and heard how a Hispanic person is removed from the machine just because an American man wanted to use it. Honestly, I feel harassed and angry that maybe I could be next because of this type of people.

I moved to Gilroy about 2 years ago and I was a 24 hour fitness member for over 20 years and they have lost many members do to not being clean bumping prices like crazy and their machines are always broken. I got a guest pass to try this gym out and I ended up getting the annual membership. I like that they have always taken care of fixing any broken machines fairly quickly as long as you report. (People complain about broken machines but yet don’t report) the sauna was not working for most of the year I have been there but recently a new manager came in I think his name is Brian but i’m not good on remembering names so sorry if I got it wrong. This manager came in and fixed the men’s sauna within a couple of weeks in. Also he’s always open for suggestions which is nice because your idea might be a good one.
Also the staff are all friendly and always greet you at the way in. Kamila the zumba instructor is also nice and always in a good mood. I will definitely renew once my year is over (around the corner).

I love this gym especially because the management team really works hard to maintain the equipment, keep the areas around the gym clean and provide great service to its clients. I want to particularly commend the two best employees, Emma and Emily. They work incredibly hard, always have a smile on their faces and are willing to go over and beyond their duties to make the gym experience for EVERYONE 1st class. They are also incredibly good looking and therefore deserve a huge bump in pay and position!

I wanted to add something important that I forgot: the manager, Kamila, is awesome. She works hard under difficult circumstances to maintain a clean, updated gym that works super well for everyone. Place is a dump. The amenities they promise like massage bed and sauna never worked for the entire duration of the year I was there. I canceled my membership due to the rude redhead at the desk. They continue to keep charging me and sent me to collections for almost $300 even though I didn’t owe them a dime. management couldn't care less from everything being broken 24/7 from them just resetting broken treadmill machines there's a lot that needs to be done here and it's a little hard to go ahead and say anything without feeling like you're going to get retaliated against.....there's a lot of people that are very open about how this place can be better an have emailed an told management but we get an o well 🤷.... although for the last 7 years I've been here it seems to have fallen on deaf ears for as long as I've been here if you're willing to put up with the machines barely put back together right before they're broken again the fact that it's dirty 24/7 in here that they don't support local fundraising they select out of town charity's it's up to u where to spend your money....(update now we don't have hot water still paying the same amount men's bathroom has been renovated like the women have and more machines keep breaking down due to old and non updated machinery I think this is my 12th and final year you're better off paying for the crowded gym over there at Gold's at least theirs is clean and they have updated machines

Staff are friendly, with a variety of weights and machines. This place use to have everything for a one stop shop. My yearly gym membership will expire in July and I don’t plan on re joining. I’m disappointed the showers haven’t had hot water for 2 - 3 months. The Sauna hasn’t worked since the new ownership and the pool sits idle collecting junk. I highly recommend weighing out your options before joint here, depending on budget, location and amnesties.
Not to mention the janitor always has the pee splash pads from urnials drying on the shelves of the men’s locker room.

Yesterday, my locker was stolen. The lock was broken, and I lost cash ($900) and my credit card. Their procedures? Just file a report and that's it.

This happens frequently, and they take no action to solve the problem. They simply state that surveillance cameras are not allowed. A solution is needed. Move the lockers to an area where cameras can be installed and be more vigilant about monitoring them. Some teenagers also only enter the bathroom area to smoke cigarettes laced with drugs.

Personal training is great. The trainers are knowledgeable and encouraging, while they also challenge my abilities. They see weaknesses and structure my workout routines to address all issues. I enjoy Valley Fitness, but the deadlift platforms are severely damaged. There's a lot of old equipment, like the dumbbells and EZ bars, that are broken and in poor condition. Some other Valley Fitness locations I've visited have newer, well-maintained equipment. Unfortunately, the sauna and steam room are also out of order, which is disappointing.

In my three-month update, the gym equipment remains unchanged, and unfortunately, the deadlift platforms have deteriorated further since my last report, with no signs of replacements in sight. The sauna, although promised to undergo repairs, has seen no progress nearly a month into the supposed fixing process. Simultaneously, the steam room is also out of service, and the aging, rusty water fountains pose additional concerns.

Valley Fitness, despite its big space, appears to be underutilizing its potential due to the lack of necessary upgrades. Regular cable malfunctions and the relocation of all mats to the CrossFit room further highlight the need for comprehensive improvements. It's essential for the management to address these issues promptly to enhance the overall gym experience and ensure the facilities are in optimal

When I visited this gym for the very first time Priscilla, the manager, took a tour with me showing everything around and it made a huge positive impression on me!! OMG!! And "huge" also refers to the facility size!! Two levels, soooo many different equipment and programs - cardio of course, tons of free wights, functional training, hydromassage, fitness assessment and body fat analysis, racquetball, Bootcamp, even Zumba and many more!! And you can explore all of that with the 7-day free trial!! (most recent offer I know about)
And.. there is plenty of parking space in front and at the back of the building together with a street parking as well!! Even during the "hot / rush hours" I had no issues to find a spot! (ok, it actually wasn't totally hustle free, but once you are familiar with the area and not afraid to park on the street avoiding red zone, or parking little further, you are good to go!! Just think about it as your warmup routine if you think to be there during the most "hot" times)

And hats off to the staff - everyone is extremely friendly and always has a good word for you!! Very professional in explaining the rules or just the membership plans!! And if you have any issues with your membership or just a tech problems (like for example with accessing FREE WIFI or checking in) they all are always ready to help you out!! If there is something more specific ask for Priscilla or Nate!!

I agree that the gym is a big but could use a lot of upgrades!! There is no upgraded water fountains .. the one down stairs is pretty rusty and out of service. The one upstairs works but a water bottle fountain would be nice since there is a lot of people trying to fill up their water bottles. The stair master or treadmills are almost always down. I’m not sure how long it takes to get fixed. The sauna has been down in the men’s side & also the steam room would be nice if it opened up.

Has its basic needs. Facility is big and could use a big upgrade. They have a whole room dedicated to group fitness but it would be wise to have that open to the rest of the gym so it isn’t so crowded. Even charging an extra fee would be fine. Not like they have classes all day. Staff is pretty friendly.

Best gym in Gilroy, I’ve been going here for a while now and how the manager Priscilla goes above and beyond for her members and tries her best to do all she can to keep all members happy, even when it’s out of her control. Highly recommend this gym.

THE EXCERCISE CLASSES ARE NO JOKE. BOOTCAMP IS A BLAST! ALWAYS GET THE BEST POINTERS FROM THE INSTRUCTER IF YOU CAN'T DO ANYMORE WEIGHT LIFTS OR ANYTHING ROUGH HE'LL PUT YOU ON MANUEL DRIVE. LOVE IT! Do not go here, weights are incredibly ragged and displaced all over the gym constantly. Plates have all rubber removed from most of them, there’s no clips for anything besides one or two squat racks. All money went into their boot camp, their cable machines were broken the whole time I worked out there. Standing pools of water near a water fountain in the bench press area. It’s cheap but activation fees and shady billing practices. I’ve spoke to many people who have had major problems with management and cancelling their memberships. DO NOT LINK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. Go to Golds or any other gym in Gilroy. Against my better judgement I tried it out because of the name change still a trash gym run by people who only care about profiting off you.

I came to this gym not knowing what to expect after reading reviews on yelp. My teen son wants to workout and this gym is perfect considering how close it is from our home. I walked in to register him for the basic plan for a year and to my surprise I had a very good experience. Priscilla the manager helped me during registration. Unfortunately I came in a day that the computers were down. But Priscilla went above and beyond to make sure I completed registration and get my son going. Thank you for the great customer service Priscilla, definitely recommend coming here. $20 a month if you pay full year up front can’t get any better than that.

Took a tour recently and the bathroom isn't clean, the tile is disgusting in there, and the changing stall area is actually just plastic curtains so anyone can just open it. Treadmills were in awful condition, the guy at front desk was nice and apologetic when I took a tour, but said they were like that for over a year and the management before had requested repairs and parts many times but that ownership orders the parts. It was also very hot and stuffy walking in parts of the gym, he said that they are waiting on air conditioning repairs. It's a cheap gym and the people up front are nice but it is absolutely not worth it based on the facility itself

Hello I’m new to Gilroy here and I started a couple months ago staff who is Kenny & Lee is super friendly but it was lacking on management which I did not know until new management came who is Priscilla she is doing an amazing job I see a huge difference in the gym we now have working treadmills and machines being serviced its nice and clean it sure has turned into a great atmosphere for me I recommend to all.My appreciations to Priscilla very professional I cannot see myself going to a different gym my appreciations thank you .

The place has improved dramatically within the past month. All the tread mills use to be out of order, but now they are all running and working. The floor is now so much cleaner and front desk always greats me and my husband every time we enter.
The Bootcamp classes are great. The coaches are very support and understanding. I have a hip replacement and they always accommodate for that by having different exercises for me.

Absolutely pathetic! Charged me $40+$40+$20 = $100(total) for working out for two weeks! So basically they have all kind of nonsense admission fee and renewable annual fee which they don’t tell you before that pops us later and is directly deducted from your checking account! WORST men’s bathroom. No private shower NO steam/sauna NOTHING!! Remains closed for stupid reasons. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

This gym is one I'll never forget... If it is 70 outside the gym will be humidity in the 80s and with a temp of 87(I checked one day while working out). The AC is broken which has caused mold to build up in a lot of areas around the gym, and the paint is pealing off the walls. I have been told the owner ship is aware of the problem, assuming they are too cheap to fix it.... On the bright side, I hear Golds is opening back up this summer.

I worked out here while I was living in Gilroy, and it was a wonderful gym. Valentino is an absolute gem, and makes you feel like family. He makes sure to greet everyone, and knows every member by name. I can't recommend them enough :)

The moment they have your money they're gonna give you the cold shoulder. Refuses to have any customer service rep reach out after over 5 attempts to contact between phone email and in-person. Claimed to freeze my account but didn't. Other people are reporting the same thing, if you don't know if this gym is for you don't give them a cent. My bank had to mark the charges as fraudulent to stop them because I literally couldn't find another option to cancel my account without going in and making a scene.

Fit Republic lied to me and callously withheld my refund after initially stating they would give me one. I became homeless, and had to move to San Jose where there are more resources. I paid up front $229.00 and only used FR facilities about three months when losing my job and becoming homeless. I was told by Gilroy FR manager that I would receive a $117.00 refund. This never materialized. Upon inquiry, I was told that my "request" for a refund was denied. It was not a request. I was told that I would get one. FR was utterly unmoved that I was destitute and homeless.
About there facilities: equipment was never cleaned for COVID during the day while I was there. City Sports does this whenever equipment is no longer in use. Employees mill about cleaning all day. FR showers are seldom scrubbed and cleaned. It always smells dirty.ALWAYS!! As does their lockers and mens locker-room. Their equipment rubber protection on weights are chipping off and the room is too hot. But most of all, FR is operated by alloused, greedy, and selfish people who could not care about the suffering of their fellow humans but chooses to exacerbate the suffering by not following through with returning some of the money paid for a membership that only a few months out of the year was used. Any other sports club must be better than the rip-off FR.

The restrooms could use an upgrade due to damage countertops, damage mirror's etc or a deep deep clean the floors look extremely dirty. The weights, plates and dumbbells are very worn out.
The layout is great, sectioned off.
