Valley Fitness I. Hanford was a great place to workout. Great staff, Great environment, felt I really got value for my hard earned $$$$. However, it does not excuse the atrocious behavior of ownership and management!! My wife and I woke up to go to the gym, arrived only to see a notice on the window, the gym had closed, no notice, no options! In fact without our authorization they transferred our membership and banking information to Planet Fitness. On top of this Valley Fitness debited my bank today for another month stating I was a Visalia member, I had transferred my membership to the Hanford branch months ago as I had to update my banking information. I called their customer service Friday and was put on hold for 40 min until I realized they were ignoring my call. According to the local staff and customer service they knew nothing until the day of the closure. Beware, some memories paid a full year in advance and are going to have to fight for their balance paid to them or attend planet fitness, which is not their choice or desire. Terrible Company to do business with. VERY UNETHICAL Owners and Managers!

Love the layout of the gym...lots of room.
Only 2 bench presses, but there's usually 1 open. They're comfortable benches.
Dumbbells up to 100 lbs.
Everybody friendly!

This gym has a welcome home feel to it. The atmosphere is peaceful and motivating at the same time. People come here to work out and drive which is what I like the most. You hardly ever have to wait for a machine or a bench. The staff(Maggie, Brandon, and Jayden)are great and very helpful. Brandon and Jayden both have given me helpful exercise and recovery tips. I'm glad I popped in here when I did 3 months ago. It's become an essential part of my life and health. Highly recommend 👌

Small gym but has the more equipment than tilted and equipment that actually works. It would be nice it this gym had a pool, other than that gym is on the cleaner side and decent for its price.

Worst experience I’ve had with a gym. Refuse to let me cancel my membership. Blocked them from charging me through the bank so what did they do? They charged me through another account. What kind of membership doesn’t let you cancel? And they have my bank info so I can’t even just cancel my card. I’d strongly advice people look elsewhere.

It's ok, the start up fee is a little much in my opinion and I wish they had more machines. Also their QR codes never seem to work for me. Overall I like the simplicity of this gym and I'm not waiting forever to use a machine.

Very disappointed in their care for customers! Been with this gym for several years and although their name and ownership has changed multiple times whats stayed the same is their revolving door with class coaches, poor quality in equipment and undervalue of employees. When customers sent a survey regarding their needs they used the economy and C-19 as an excuse to not replace. As of 12/15/22 they canceled classes informing the customer 2 days before… good job Valley Fitness!

Was good at first but started making changes and discontinued a lot of features and when my wife cancelled her membership it took a year for them to refund her upfront paid in full year contract. She never went to the gym and cancelled within 24hrs

Cleanliness is kept up here at this location. All.of the equipment is in working conditions and they have plenty of cardio machines. The free weight area is pretty open and has a variety of weights ranging from 5lbs up to 100lbs.
They have 2 benches, 1 incline, 1 decline. 1 squat rack, 1 power rack, 2 Smith machines.

They do allow you to deadlift just no chalk and you can't make a lot of noise.
Pricing is reasonable. Only thing that knocks this place down is the location, homeless everywhere.

The staff are all welcoming and fun to talk to. They have all the equipment you could really want for whatever your goals are. The trainers are friendly and knowledgeable and don’t make you feel stupid or out of place. The whole vibe of this place is so comfortable and it feels like everyone here works harder because of that. Also can’t beat the prices for membership!!! I’ve been a member of multiple gyms and this is by far my favorite!
Wish you would consider extending the hours though!!!! <3

Inexpensive, enjoyable, would recommend. Would love to see staff enforce the GYM RULES and require members to clean after themselves. I'm interested on being healthy and in better shape NOT in bringing home a virus or disease from someone else, fit republic is kind enough to provide us with some kind of sanitizer/antifungal no excuse not to use it !!!!!;
