Out of all gyms i’ve been to in madera, this has been my favorite. The employees keep it very clean and there is always a machine open, and there’s a wide variety of workouts. Aaliyah and Nick are always greeting me at the door and giving the best workout tips when I ask. I’ve never been more ripped in my life! They’re very nice and willing to help you with anything you need. 10/10 gym!

This gym unfortunately has really gone downhill.
Been coming to this location since it was a Ballys Total Fitness and have seen many people leave to other gyms due to the rising membership fees and limited equipment availability.

Used to enjoy coming here with my wife and friends but now with new corporate prices of almost $40 a month is just not worth the money.

Monthly memberships are at a premium and more expensive then most private gyms for the small size and limited availability of equipment this gym is not worth the new Monthly fees.

Gym is very small, limited equipment, constantly breaking, and expensive Monthly fees.

I don't recommend anyone signing up here and suggest people save their money and find a gym with more equipment and more affordable Monthly dues.

Most of the staff also doesn't seem to care about the members, or maintaining a clean working out environment.

Gym is always full in the evenings filled with a bunch of school kids who just hang around in large groups and have no respect or courtesy of others.

This is the best gym in Madera!! I have been a bodybuilder for 7 years and do not go to any other gym besides this one. There’s millions of machines you can use here. The environment in the gym is amazing!! Lot of great friends I introduced myself to and got along with. This gym is also really clean and sanitary. They replace old towels with new clean ones and have sprays all the time to wipe down!! The staff is always greeting and got along with them really well!! So if you read this message, thank you for what you do for us and for always being so welcoming to me. You guys deserve more recognition. Biggest thing that made me stay a valley member is that it’s now 24/7!! If you are looking for a gym, this is the gym to go to!! Very well organized and well maintained!!

I’ve been coming to this Gym since 2024. It’s close to my apartment the young workers there are awesome. Not to mention that Valley Fitness just nailed it hard by going 24 hrs in July. Although I haven’t quite got used to this name ( I really Loved the name Fit Republic) but hey it’s just a name right 😉
Anyway! I love this place because everyone minds their own business. They are not hogging up the equipment by being on their phones posting selfies. Everyone keeps it moving and getting their workout in.

I recently joined Valley Fitness. It's a wonderful gym with a great atmosphere! Compared to other gyms I've been to, this one is more comfortable, clean, and calm. It's not packed and overwhelming like most gyms. The employees are very welcoming and kind. They're also very helpful. Whenever you need them, they are ready to assist you. It's a smaller gym but I love that about it. Definitely feels more private and safe!

Canceled membership over a year ago yet they never stopped charging my card every month since . Regional manager says he can't do any refunds and he would let his superiors know about it . Lol
Still no body has reached out to me to resolve this. .Even sent a detailed message on the CONTACT US message box on their website and no response at all .
This tells me that from the top down Valley Fitness doesn't have a problem stealing from their clients . I guess they are hopping I'll eventually just go away ..lol

What lacks at this location compared to Fresno locations, majority staff particularly young kids stand around. There are weights around, dumbbells mixed matches and laying around. I don’t see the same ethic to keep a clean gym up compared to where I regular attend as well (first and Herndon)

Used to love this gym. Used to be easy to be in and out but it gets very crowded with little kids just socializing and standing around. Kind of just became normalized to be honest.
They’re in need of redoing that mens locker room because it’s bad and smells.
Also the gentlemen that does the lords work and cleans up around the gym needs a raise because he does a good job but he can also be a little more respectful and mindful of people that are working out.

Horrible gym. I would give this gym a negative star. The most unorganized gym in the world. Missing dumbells everywhere. Janitor giving me dirty looks literally vacuuming around my area while I'm working out. Bars are all bent up. Deadlift mats caved in and the colors of the walls make me feel like I'm working out in shreks smelly swamp. Have to walk 176 miles to find the only 5 ib plate hidden behind 10 45s wouldn't recommend at all.

Good gym, was upset when they changed my price to 25 and the gym still doesn’t upgrade. Atleast cover the holes that are made in the wall outside the men’s restroom.
Other than that customer service is great I was at planet fitness and the customer service can’t be compared. Each time I have any concerns or questions the afternoon employees and manager are there to help me.

We come to work out early and the person at the desk didn’t arrive to work until 7:50sm. He was suppose to be here at 6am. Thank you to Rose because she opened the gym at 5 am and took care of the gym plus she was cleaning. Rose is very dedicated and well like by everyone. 24.99 a month is a price for a nice gym. My family and i have been at the madera location for over 14 years. And this increase questions my loyalty. Equipment is worn and torn. The cables are close to failing. Maintenance is too slow to repair. Men's bathroom has mold in the grout for years. The gym has a smell. Don't get me wrong I like the hole in the wall.. but the price don't match the gym anymore. Considering that 24/7 gym with a protein bar in it.

Be careful!
When you sign up there’s a lot they don’t tell you about it from regular fees. To sneaky cancellation fees and “heads up” you need to do before cancel. Just so they can try and get an extra month of your money. Not to mention for the admission fees and monthly free, not a good bang for your buck if you’re looking for a nice open space, No ac, just fans and not enough equipment to go around.

Be Ware!!!! This gym will take advantage of you! The gym is unbearably hot and humid in the summertime. They have very limited equipment and critical pieces they do have are routinely broken. Be prepared to wait in line for a bench for nearly an hour. More importantly, when I finally gave up and ask for a membership cancellation, they continued to bill me for six months. When I lost my credit card I turned it off and a few month later I get an email stating my dues were past due. I told them I had cancelled my membership and they responded that I "hadn't cancelled the right way" and because I didn't cancel the "right way" they forced me to pay for the previous two months before I could cancel the "right way".

The staff is rude and pretentious and most importantly this business prioritizes profits over people. Please don't make the mistake I did.

Signing up for the Fit Nation classes has been one of the best decisions that I've ever made! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The classes are intense yet fun because of how diverse the workout combinations are. If it weren't for Coach Uriel and his constant push for me to try my best or his motivation I don't think that I would have been able to strengthen my foot or be able to perform daily tasks normally again. When I first started the Fit Nation class four months ago I was unable to do most of the workouts because of a foot injury that I was recovering from, however the Uriel helped accommodate to my needs. Now I'm able to workout without any accommodations and I feel much stronger all-around.  I would definitely recommend Fit Republic!

I started as the new manager took over and this place is amazing. They’re doing repairs to the building atm and have been as accommodating as possible to make sure everyone stays happy. They have very reasonable prices, super friendly staff that remembers your name, and keep the place extremely clean. Also the pricing is insanely good, there aren’t any contracts except the one to keep your price the same; you can freeze your payments if you aren’t going in for awhile, and only pay for the time you’re there and to top it all off most of the people I’ve met at the gym have been very friendly and helpful when it’s needed(ive been recovering from an injury), and everyone tends to be very respectful of one another. Overall, great gym.

The dirtiest gym I’ve ever been to. Fit republic in Los Banos and Fresno (Fig Garden) are way cleaner. The employees just stand around and socialize with one another, they don’t bother to assist with maintaining their facility. The machines are disgusting with sweat and dust all over. The restrooms are so gross with trash bin over flowing and dirty sinks. They chose to keep doors closed and it becomes so stinky inside. The employees are unprofessional and use profanity when conversating amongst themselves.

Fit Republic is a joke of a gym. I've been going there for quite some time, and a couple of their employees have acted unwelcoming towards me. Apparently, I don't exist when I walk in, because they either don't greet me, or literally turn their backs, but have no problem greeting other members. It's also overly cluttered, and, most of the time, the people there seem a bit gang related. I don't know how I manage to give them chance after chance, but working out probably at home would be a better solution. Please don't give these people your money.
