I’ve been with Village Fitness for six months now. My workout activity was low since Covid and I was experiencing some knee pain. A girlfriend suggested physical therapy at Village Fitness. After 10 weekly sessions with Dr. Tyler Sientopp, my annoying pain disappeared. While in therapy I had the opportunity to try out some group workout sessions led by professional trainers. I found them helpful and motivating so I signed up for bi-weekly sessions. I noticed the routine strength training, stretching and cardio workouts are helping me move much better while playing my tennis and pickleball weekly. I’m also climbing stairs with more ease and my sleep has improved.

I did not have an exercise routine since I was young. As I entered late 40s and realized I need to start doing something to build muscles for health, I looked around an exercise place close by where I feel comfortable as a beginner. I walked in one day to Village and was warmly greeted by Sue. It’s been over a quarter now and I am amazed how far I grow. All the staffs are great and truly believe in healthy living from exercise, diet to sleep. I received so many encouragement and health tips from them. Moreover, they built a family culture there that I enjoyed chatting with the staffs and members there after workouts. You feel so known and seen when all the staffs call you by name!

Where do I start? This place is such a gem, and I am so glad I found it. I attend three exercise classes per week, and after just a couple of months, I have already gained a noticeable amount of strength and muscle tone; this at the age of 63. The people who work at Village, including the instructors and the physical therapist I worked with when I tore a calf muscle playing pickleball, and the customer care professionals are all top notch. I have been amazed at the personalized attention I have received at Village. I am treated like a VIP client, and they’ll treat you that way too.

Joining Village Fitness a year ago was one of the best decisions I have made in taking charge of my health. I have joined various gyms in my lifetime. Village is the only one that has listened to me and my needs. The staff listens and works to make me stronger. They focus on my age group -- I just turned 80. I know I have a ways to go, but I move better now than I did a year ago. A year ago I huffed and puffed. Not so much a year later. And their Physical Therapy has been a big part of my getting heathier. It's just an added bonus to their fitness routine. And their nutrition advice has been beneficial in changing my diet. The coaches and classes are amazing, small classes. I used to think I hated exercise until now. Staff is knowledgeable, welcoming and sincerely caring. Workouts are challenging but at your own challenge level and if modifications are needed they are given as well as instruction on correct positioning and follow through on exercise. Small classes provide more individual attention and staff as well as clients are encouraging and motivating. Facility is clean, spacious and inviting. Workouts and progression are kept in a journal so progress can be measured. Early morning classes available that suit my work schedule. Easy free street parking. In a matter of weeks my strength has improved and my range of motion is improving.

Village Fitness and PT is the absolute best! I have had many sports injuries and wanted a place for
weight lifting that focused on correct lifting techniques and safety. Village Fitness fits the bill in spades! They have a very knowledgeable staff that takes the time to show you how to lift properly and do all the sequenced exercises. It is a specifically tailored program that works on strength, balance, and cardio. Additionally, there is a limit of 8 people in a class and there is a community feeling with fellow members. Village Fitness is a unique gym experience. The program is designed by Doctors of Physical Therapy. Their workouts are designed to avoid injuries, and can be adapted, even in a small group, to your own fitness level/ limitations. The goal is to increase your strength and agility. Also, 1:1 physical therapy appointments are available.
I was post-injury, post standard physical therapy, and this is just what I needed. In addition, everyone here is sincerely kind and approachable, and dedicated to assisting you in meeting your fitness goals. I highly recommend Village Fitness. Take the 28 day challenge, you won’t be disappointed!

As a person who has struggled most of my life with finding regular fitness, and having grown up a fat kid, exercise and nutrition have never been at the forefront of my mind or habit-building. Seeing some loved ones age has opened my eyes to the need to really consider the impact of regular activity on my own longevity.

Strength training, especially using barbells, has always seemed like a workout "for the macho guys" who always picked on folx like me growing up.

The folx here at Village Fitness have absolutely flipped that script for me, and I couldn't sing their praises more loudly or enthusiastically.

From Dr. Erik's thoughtful first assessment, where I felt heard regarding my own goals, and introduced to the gym and its own principles and equipment, to the ongoing support of coaches like Renae and Sam, I've never felt more supported and motivated to pursue a life of fitness and wellness.

The workouts are HARD, in the best ways. You'll learn how to properly perform the fundamental movements of barbell training, including squats, overhead presses, deadlifts, and more. A burst of cardio keeps your heart pumping, and your muscles and body will be glad when you finish, and grateful for your dedication.

Did I mention they respect and use my pronouns? As a queer person especially, feeling comfortable in a space that traditionally has felt so macho makes me feel so seen and supported. Thank you to the whole staff for creating a welcoming space for EVERYONE to achieve their goals.

What a great concept, you start off slow & rev your way up to big things. I found Village fitness after experiencing injuries doing other exercises. I love this studio! The staff is friendly, the community is encouraging & you do things you never thought you could do. It's a great way to push yourself & get the one on one attention you need to keep from getting injured but also push yourself to a comfortable, challenging level. The staff at Village Fitness have designed a fitness program that has made me stronger and more confident in my physical abilities. Hands-down they are the nicest people in the world and encourage me to keep trying. I have had success and that makes me want to return for every workout. I started at Village about 3 months ago and I’m so glad I did! The location is convenient, clean and welcoming. The trainers are all so friendly and helpful, they are always making sure everyone is comfortable and safe in their workout. The workouts structured with so many available options for each individual’s abilities. Coming to class is like coming to hang out with friends! Also included is a nutritionist and of course Dr Matt! Online class scheduling is great. They are super responsive to calls, emails and texts also. This is not just a gym, this is whole body wellness training tailored for everyone in a community setting. Classes are never more than 8 members which is perfect for making connections without feeling crowded/overwhelmed.
I’ve felt my body get stronger and do things I never thought imaginable. I’ve even lost 20 pounds since beginning, which isn’t my focus but sure is awesome!!

What an amazing place to workout at. The people are fantastic, and the exercise methodology is great. These are group classes, 8 people max, and you all do the same set of exercises but each at their own pace/intensity. People aged late 30's to 70's. Everyone there trying to help themselves and each other. The trainers breakdown all the exercises so that you learn them well and don't injure yourself while still pushing to get better.

You start by stretching/warming up, then do a compound weight lifting exercise (depends on the day it may be squats, dead lifts, or overhead press). Then do some body weight exercises and then some cardio.

Definitely love going here and getting a good sweat on!

It turned out to be exactly what I had been searching for – a place that's not only convenient but also clean, with an incredibly friendly and engaging team of coaches (seriously, every single one of them is fantastic). I was able to get in for a Thursday and Saturday workout with Casi and Nicole. Great instructors! They each tailored the group workout for each person there so everyone got a session that was perfect for their ability level. No joke, bring a towel because you're going to work! Renae at the front was super friendly and very informative... if you have any questions about how the place works or services, she's your go to. The facilities are clean, all the equipment new and the place is very spacious. Great parking which is hugely important to me and easy to find. Highly recommend!

Village Fitness is great. You work out in a scheduled class of up to 8 people doing various barbell exercises. Most members attend 2-3 times a week. People tend to go to the same classes consistently, so you feel like you’re joining a community of people who want to improve their health. The coaches are great at encouraging you in your progress and helping you improve how you exercise. It’s a fun place to work out and you’ll see results very quickly, whether you’ve been exercising for a while or have never joined a gym of any type.

In addition to being a fitness center and physical therapy practice, they offer many classes on nutrition, specific joint or muscle pains, and other health concerns that adults deal with. I joined Village when I was 42, and I’m healthier and stronger than any other time in my life, even in my more “athletic” teens and 20s.

I have been apart of the Village community in Glendora for 4 years now. I was thrilled to be invited to come workout in the San Marino location, they did not disappoint. What a great location, large workout space, clean and always on point with fun design. You will get a whole body workout designed for any age or level. If you are afraid to start due to a past injury or pain, no problem, they have Physical therapist to help you build up to where you want to be.
