EXCELLENT. Worked with Jamie for approximately 6 months biweekly then weekly. helped restore my love of weightlifting after YEARS absent and get me back in to it and empowered. The app that they use to design the plan for you is very intuitive and one of the best fitness apps I’ve used. I met with quite a few different trainers before deciding to work with them. I chose them because I saw that not only would it be good for accountability and fitness just like any other Trainer would – but I felt that I would be able to learn the most. This proved to be true. I’ve been athletic my whole life, but was able to learn new information about body mechanics, workouts, and health. I hope to return to sessions at some point in the future, but for the time being, I feel like I’ve been given the tools and a refreshed mindset. meet with others if you’d like. But honestly, if you’re busy and want to save time, just start with them. High-quality friendly and a positive private Atmosphere. strongly recommend buying the 10 session package to just get started.

Jayme and Layne changed my life. I have been in the best shape that I have ever been since starting training with them. I've been training with Jamie at Vita Cors for about a year now and I cannot recommend him enough! He is an exceptional teacher: he's kind, supportive, and really cares about helping his clients. Thanks to Jamie, I'm now stronger and healthier than I've ever been in my entire life.

It is insane how much effort Jamie puts into what he does. Each week, Jamie crafts a workout plan for me based on my progress and goals: our workouts are personalized for me and no workout is ever the same. During workouts, Jamie pushes me to my limit, but does so in a way that is patient and supportive. He also pays close attention to my form and gives me clear guidance on how I can improve (and keeps track of issues I'm having across multiple workouts). On the side, Jamie has also given me lots of useful advice on how to improve my diet and life generally -- thanks to his advice, I've lost nearly 10 pounds of fat and gained a lot of muscle!

Even more impressively, Jamie will never miss a session, no matter what else is going on with him. He even continued with our sessions when he broke his foot at the beginning of this year and couldn't walk: he just got on crutches and kept coming into the gym! He's truly dedicated to what he does and gives it 100% every day.

On top of all of this, the Vita Cors gym is an amazing place to train: it's always super clean and tidy and has literally every single piece of equipment you will need for any kind of workout. Jamie and his wife Layne are also constantly adding new items and pieces of equipment to the gym, so the gym always has a state-of-the-art feel to it.

Jamie is an excellent trainer and, more importantly, a good person. He's in this business because he really cares about helping others. Highly recommend him!

I was pretty anti-working out for a long time bc I was intimidated and insecure. Layne & Jamie were so understanding and accommodating. They’ve completely changed my outlook on myself and my health.

I LOVE Vita Cors! I'm in my 40's and never was good at regularly working out or taking care of my body aside from walking my dogs and eating healthy. I joined over a month ago because I had it with feeling like my strength and physical abilities were declining and I was afraid of worsening my knee injuries. First its a clean, well-laid out gym space. Second Layne and Jamie are such good, kind-hearted people! A must for me. They were just what I wanted in terms of coaches who were personable, competent, and could easily adapt to curate the training I personally needed in order to work with and remedy the injuries I'm facing. I really needed coaching that was kind, firm and could effectively cheerlead me so that I would not only enjoy the work out but also want to keep coming back. In the short amount of time I've been there, I am so much stronger, have gained a better understanding of what works for my body and how to work out without further injuring myself, and have way more optimism about what I can physically achieve with maintaining these workouts. My hub joined shortly after me and has also been loving and appreciating his workouts with Vita Cors.

Jamie & Layne are the dynamic duo!
Different from any other gym, exercise class or typical training session, they customize your workout based on your needs, ability & goals. I have been active my whole life and as I get older, I began to realize I not only have to keep moving, I also have to understand my limitations which may cause injury. Having a customized workout planned for me by the trainer who is actually going to oversee me working out is key. Adjustments can be made in real time which make my workouts effective & efficient.
I highly recommend Vita Cors for all your training, exercise and life improving goals. They are a pleasure to work with!

If there were more stars to give, I would give more! I was directed to Vita Cors by a friend who has been training there for years, who by the way looks phenomenal, and I desired to get that body! We attend the semi-private sessions with Layne and Jaimie, and man, what a blast, I never thought I would say that about working out! These sessions are amazing because we get to reap the rewards of a private trainer in an intimate environment, and not be ignored, as what tends to happen in group workout classes. I could not recommend Vita Cors enough, as you will not only have a great time laughing and chatting but you will also receive that individualized attention that is required of toning and strengthening your body. Not to mention an incredibly reasonable price!

Jamie and Layne are incredibly talented and vastly educated trainers. Their workouts and training regimens are very challenging but built upon an appreciation and respect for form and technique, which makes me feel very reassured. They are very involved throughout the sessions and their understanding of anatomy and kinesiology is apparent in the feedback they constantly give during their workouts. I've been training with them both virtually and in person for over a year and will continue to do so!

I have been working with Vita Cors for the past six weeks. I have lost three inches around my waist within this timeframe. Every workout has been challenging and carefully thought out to work on my "problem areas." I train with both Jamie and Layne. Both are professional, knowledgeable, encouraging and overall great people. The facility is super clean and airy and the weights and machinery are super nice. We also workout outside in the shade which is a total bonus! I appreciate the 1:1 ratio (I do privates) and the attention to detail Vita Cors displays every session. COVID info: They require their clients to be vaccinated and both trainers will wear masks when working with their clients. I appreciate their covid sensitivity so much! I've been looking for a trainer and facility that checks all my boxes and Vita Cors is just that!

It's been amazing working with Jamie and Layne at Vita Cors for the past 5 months. I have never had a personal trainer before and it always seemed out of reach, but now I think everyone should work with one!! Jamie has been helping me rehab a shoulder injury and work on my general fitness. The group classes are super fun as well for a more high intensity and fun vibe. They will tailor your program to your exact goals and push you to grow and challenge yourself in a safe and supported way. Highly recommend to anyone looking to up their general fitness or with a specific goal they need help to overcome :)

Thanks to Vita Cors, I actually look forward to working out. The owners, Jamie & Layne are a husband & wife duo that have transformed their Pasadena home garage into a beautiful, full-functioning gym. They've been a game changing alternative to public gyms for me, especially during covid, as I no longer have to deal with crowds, germs, and long wait times. Their equipment is new, clean, and it's clear from the moment you step foot in their space that they take great pride in offering a high-quality experience to their clients.

During my workouts, Layne pushes me just enough so that I walk away feeling my best. She actively listens to my needs and tailors our workouts to specifically target those areas, throwing in fun new exercises along the way to keep things interesting. I've also come to learn that she's an amazing baker, so I love chatting about nutrition and healthy recipes with her after workouts. I really can't say enough great things about Vita Cors, their energy is incredibly welcoming, they're flexible with their hours (great for the working moms), and they'll meet you at your level no matter where you're starting from. I highly recommend to all!

During the pandemic, Layne has helped me SOO much with physical and emotional training. She customizes each personal training session based on your needs. Here is an example:

I had two injuries in the past (knee and ankle) that I wanted to recover from. Layne planned out each session based on my needs and each week, she would re-evaluate. I can tell she puts a lot of thought and care into each client because she remembers the small details and applies them to the next session.
There were MANY times when I came with low energy, but she always knew how to lead the course so I don't give up. After 1 year of consistent training with Layne, I was able to test out my knee and ankle in Hawaii. After 5 hours of intense hiking, I never felt so STRONG! I was so happy to see the result.

I highly recommend Layne to those who are looking for someone who cares about their physical and mental health. I resume taking her sessions because it's now part of my lifestyle.

Good workouts, small groups, and highly individualized. The workouts are adjusted for each person's skill level, equipment and goals. It's impressive!

I've only done livestream classes. Bring your own music and don't expect to be entertained - expect to work. Jamie and Layne tell you what exercises to do and then leave you to your own devices, with encouragement and form notes when needed.

Thanks to Vita Cors, I've become the biggest fan of personal trainers. Seriously, this duo has taken me to a whole new level of physical fitness. Their expertise and personal attention have reminded me that I have muscles in places I didn't even know about. I have been training with Jamie for a year. He is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his clients' health and wellbeing. The workouts are always specific to your level and your goals. He is extremely attentive, encouraging, and makes working out fun! The training sessions are always different which is great because I get bored quickly. I'm in decent physical shape but really need the push and focused workouts. With the private training sessions, you are able to take any of his small group classes which he sometimes leads with his wife. The small group classes are practically like private sessions with the amount attention and tailored workouts you get!

I've been attending Jamie's small group training sessions for about two months now.  I originally discovered Vita Cors through Classpass, but I ended up liking it so much that I canceled my Classpass membership and signed up through Vita Cors directly!  The classes are circuit workouts incorporating strength training with free weights and other gym equipment as well as conditioning exercises, and they are different every time and tailored to each participant's fitness level.  They are appropriate for all levels of fitness and experience, and Jamie will happily make modifications to various exercises as-needed based on each person's goals and abilities.

Jamie keeps the classes small so he is able to give personal feedback and instruction to everybody -- the maximum class size is 6 but the largest I've attended so far was 3.  On a few occasions I've even had the class all to myself!  Jamie is friendly, welcoming, and encouraging throughout every session, and I always leave sweaty and excited to come back!

I've known Jamie for about 5 years now, and have trained on and off with him. He makes you feel very comfortable even when you have any trouble doing an exercise or two, pushes you and finds an easier yet still challenging way to make sure you don't over do it. I've recently started training with him again but this time with what is now Vita Cors, and have met his partner Laney, super cool and she works out with you for an extra push sometimes! They make a wonderful team, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone trying to get, stay or become a better, stronger version of themselves. Also, their group classes are super affordable! If you can afford one on one, I reccomend that best. Otherwise the group classes are small and still work the hell out of you!
