I ended up getting scammed on my credit card and received a new one from my bank and didn't resubscribe to Viva. Viva fit has this shady fine print where they WILL rack up 6 months of payments after u quit or leave and send a BILL COLLECTOR after you!! This ruined my credit and I be will disputing it and suing! I recently moved to Yucca Valley. Viva Fit is my sanctuary. I discovered Elisha and her team after trying another local gym and I was SO HAPPY to have found this space. SO CLEAN AND ALL THE EQUIPMENT for any functional fitness, HIIT, cardio or weight training program. The atmosphere is a welcoming vibe combined with a boutique/private training setting. Sometimes, I have the space all to myself. It's nice to have that privacy and 24/7 access. Easy parking spots and plenty of space. No crowding and no lingering cell phone/selfies that you find in other places. No creeps. PLUS: Ongoing education, nutrition, hormone, mindset, etc. materials and workshops. BONUS: The members are just as cool. Most people keep to themselves and just focus on their own self-care. I feel comfortable and welcome here. I'd give it 11 stars if I could.

Hello everyone. I am Debra Savitt. Dr of Chiropractic and Hospice Chaplain. I love Elisha the owner of VivaFit. She is a person of heart, she is always fair and runs a very personable gym. She is a great communicator, teacher, owner and has high spiritual values. I have taught belly dancing at the gym and it was great fun. Save your time, energy, and money.

I’ve lived in this small town long enough to know that word travels fast — and unfortunately, what I heard about this gym and its owner turned out to be true. At first glance, the owner comes off as nice and welcoming, but that quickly shifts into manipulation and controlling behavior. It’s extremely uncomfortable to deal with, and the overall vibe is tense.

There’s been a high turnover of truly amazing instructors, which speaks volumes. It’s sad, because the talent was there … but they don’t stick around, and now I understand why.

The gym feels less like a place to get strong and healthy and more like a personal vanity project. I’ve even witnessed questionable tactics to inflate reviews, including compensating people to write 5-star posts to cover up the real feedback.

If you’re considering joining, just know this place comes with a lot of emotional strings attached. You may end up feeling more indebted than empowered.

There are better gyms and studios in the area with zero commitment policies and a far more positive, professional atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere you’re actually valued.

Took a private spin class here, and it was so much fun! From their timely response when I first reached out about scheduling the class to making sure the type of class and music fit our group's preferences to providing gift bags for our group, they made this such a great experience. Jenn was a wonderful fitness instructor - she was so nice and high energy and welcoming for our group. Could not recommend Viva Fit enough!!!

WOW! We did a spin class here for my bachelorette party when we were in town and it did not disappoint! We booked a private class and the instructor, Jen, made us a killer playlist based on some general requests and kept the party going. Not only was the energy high and the choreography fire, but she got us each little swag bags!! It was such a great deal for what we got. Seriously one of the biggest highlights of the trip. When I moved to the area, I was looking for a small gym that offered fitness classes, as I’m not a fan of traditional gyms.

I’ve been a part of Viva Fit since January 2024, and I’m so glad I found it. I felt welcomed from the start, and the owner has a good heart and truly cares for her clients.

Given the variety of fitness classes and access to traditional gym equipment, her prices are a steal!

I’ve enjoyed classes with great instructors, and the gym has a fantastic atmosphere.

I hate writing negative review of a small woman owned business, but the owner has pulled some pretty sketchy stuff and I think it’s only fair to warn others looking to improve themselves and find a community.

First off, the late fees seem to have pretty sketchy things going on. I recognize a business needs to protect itself, but I have seen and heard from others that card declines seem to be a regular issue for this business even if you have a valid card and the money in your account. When I cancelled my membership in June of 2023 I paid the fees amounting to $132 I received a receipt and a charge on my account and went on my way. Today February 9th 2025 (almost two years later) the owner texted me in a group chat with a “collection” agent stating that I still owed $132.50. Not only was the “collection agents” number not attached to a valid agency, but I am also pretty sure thats not how collection agencies work. If my debt had been sold to a collection agency I should be dealing with this through them and not the owner herself.

NOW HERES THE GOOD STUFF. This text comes after my brother left a negative review. Him and his girlfriend had a membership and cancelled around the same time as me. Our names are incredibly similar and have been mixed up from time to time, but because he wrote a review she came after me thinking I had left the review. FUNNY how her immediate response to someone writing a review was to bring up an “owed charge” from two years ago. Mind you, not once did she reach out before this situation to get a payment.

This whole situation is a testament to the owners disorganization and tendency to be vindictive. I am happy to pay anything I owe, but I did demand proof that my transaction never went through on their end.

I really loved going to this gym. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere and simple machines. I actually hoped to return because the hours had been extended and fit better with my inconsistent schedule. However, I will never return, will not recommend this gym to those who can afford as I previously had, and will be encouraging everyone I talk to to find another option.

EDIT: The owner has since replied to my review providing personal information about my account. Not only is your privacy not respected, but her response to negative reviews is overdone. She has since threatened to sue me for defamation for my review. She also contacted my job for some reason?? Absolutely beyond her rights and borderline harassment. She will not provide my the collection agencies information and has continued to contact me after I requested she stop, so that I can deal directly with collections.

The business may attempt to take more money than contractually owed when a patron cancels, using tactics which include: publicly posting false claims of debts owed, submitting patron information to a debt collection agency, contacting patrons place of work, and submitting cease and desist as a scare tactic. The business may have some issue with organization, as I was wrongly charged an amount and was forced to contact the business to have the charge removed. I had an absolutely terrible experience with this gym, and I strongly advise anyone considering joining to think twice. The owner's business practices are predatory and unethical. When I needed to cancel my membership, I was hit with a ridiculous fee that felt like a blatant cash grab.

To make matters worse, years after I thought the matter was resolved, I received a threatening letter from a collection agency claiming I owed additional fees. This was completely unexpected and unprofessional. The owner clearly has no regard for their patrons and is more interested in squeezing every last penny out of people than providing a positive experience.

The gym itself is mediocre at best, but the owner's shady tactics make it impossible to recommend. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other gyms out there that value their members and operate with integrity.

This gym is like a family— everyone is friendly and supportive. It may be smaller than some gyms, but it has everything you need! The classes are great too and they offer sunrise classes so I can do a workout before work! They also work with wonderful personal trainers to customize workouts. Best gym I have ever joined!! My fitness level is so much better than a year ago thanks to their offerings.

I've taken several classes with the owner and can see how deeply she cares about people and our community. This gym is THE PERFECT option for those who want a more personal health journey. A great fit for those who would like some help starting towards and/or continuing to reach their fitness goals. I have been going to Viva Fit for about two months now and have already seen a massive transformation in my body! I've lost 9 lbs working with personal training with Elisha and Shawn, and nutritionist Ren. They utilize mindy/body connection along with positive affirmations and create an environment welcoming for everyone. It's like a family in there everyone supports where every is act and their goals. It is also super kid friendly, my daughter loves to go play in the kids area , as well as participate in the kids classes. It doesn't feel like a chore to work out there, I am excited to see my progress and work with my trainers as well as do their extensive classes and create a healthy lifestyle for my daughter and I.

I was a member for about 5 months. I never attended any classes, but the teachers seemed upbeat and competent. Facility is clean and not too crowded. There are no showers.
The owner is not as kind as she appears to be.She vapes indoors. She is 2- faced and very passive aggressive, so if you choose this gym make sure you stay on her good side. Also, I think she doesn't care for fat people, even though she doesn't say it outright.

I love this gym! I was very nervous when I first started going to classes at the gym, and everyone has been so friendly and helpful! I’m doing the body transformation program to lose my baby weight and i LOVE my training sessions! I’ve gone to yoga, stroller moms, mommy and me dance, HIIT, and spin ! There is childcare too, which is a must for me! Elisha and all of the instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. I even brought friends to come to classes with me. I started at this gym this year and it’s the best life decision I’ve made for myself personally. I was scared to try classes but everybody that works there is so welcoming and supportive of my journey to health. I take every class I can now and feel deeply supported. My mental health has improved as well as physical. I was very shy and insecure before going but the staff and people there have helped me so much with their kindness and they’re gentle with the motivational pushes I need to succeed. I can take my kids and they have a blast at the daycare, I’m going to bring my disabled mother and they already arranged to support her needs so she can actually do yoga classes with me while in her wheelchair. I was here for about not even 2 months and then needed to cancel my membership due to moving, I canceled it on may 15 and then was charged again on June 15 for another month I had already stopped going way before that. I then called the owner and she said she would get my refund back. 3 days later passed and I still hadn’t got my refund nor any text message regarding it. so I proceeded to text her, she replied telling me that “ Hello you it’s a 30 day notice that is required so you are charged your last month you should’ve been charged at the time of cancellation. But they let it roll over into the last month so that’s your 30 day notice but you have 60 days to use the gym.” , I replied saying “ I had already stopped going before my last month and I did call you the 15 but no pick up till I called the 16 again . So I don’t get a refund ? I am moving and don’t have time to be going is why I canceled and I think I did let you know about that “ . My message never delivered meaning she had either blocked me or was ignoring me so I decided to call her off my boyfriends number and she answered right away so I asked her why exactly I wasn’t getting my refund back and she explained on the contract it says I have to give a “30 day notice “ which I understood but then told me I only have 45 days to work out when I first had 60..? I have it on text) , it just sucks I was charged again in middle of moving situation and then the fact she didn’t let me know what was even going on or why I wasn’t even going to get my refund back. Especially blocking my number or not even getting a reply is very unprofessional.

This young lady is ignorant and racist. If you’re African American I suggest you steer clear! I was in that place (Yucca valley) on a nursing assignment. I’m a member of the YMCA and PF (which they don’t have) I was forced to join Viva for what I was hoping to be a pleasant 3 month experience. I was quoted 45 dollars a month which was fine. I began working out (even with the wired stares) they were never very welcoming but I didn’t care I came to work out. One evening I left my 240.00 Nike 240’s at the gym. I text her the next morning she said she had them. Then I looked in my bank account and noticed 100.00 missing instead of the 45 agreed upon. I then called her again and she just flipped out and told me do not return to her gym . Like lady what ? I just asked that she cancel going forward, finally I just asked for my sneakers which she would not give back and started sending me her list and found policies . I was floored! You already said that you had them, the only reason I did not file a complaint because that entire town is racist and I was to far away from home and they all know each other, now that I’m gone I plan on looking into a few things. I definitely disputed that charge of course , before I left I did join 5 star fitness and they were welcoming and have a much better rate and way more options/equipment.

Elisha is amazing owner and her classes are equally amazing. She cares about her gym. It’s very clean and free water and towels. She is a true human who cares about others. The spin class was full and she started a circuit class right then and there. It was very challenging and inspiring to say the least. She listens and cares. Nate is an example on how to listen to seniors and works on what he can help you with. He explains things as well. I’m very happy switching and when I asked if they can help or add a class Elisha was on top of it. She is my hero 🦸‍♀️ and exemplifies HARD WORK. I love Shawn’s Pilates class and Sergio’s Spin too. I joined Viva Fit two months ago and it’s been a life changing experience for my family. It’s the first space we’ve found that’s family inclusive and makes working out fun. I love how they have kids classes while adults have classes so everyone leaves tired and happy. Do disappointed! I didn't have my glasses, so the girl at the counter filled out the paperwork for me to sign. I NEVER worked out once, and told them only 2 days after signing up that I had an issue with my bank that caused the charge to be denied and that I was unable to pay and sign up at that time. Now the owner is trying to force me to pay a 50 dollar sign up fee plus 65 dollars for a month and she said my verbal cancellation and written text was not enough to cancel!??! I do not have a copy of what I signed, so what sort of "exact process" is she wanting me to go through? Thinking of consulting my lawyer on this one. The whole thing seems very shady!

I really enjoy spending time here it’s a great new place exactly what we needed here in town. A huge plus on the family oriented part everyone is friendly and welcoming. Happy to say I feel extremely welcomed and comfortable when I come in. The owner is amazing, she is always very encouraging, positive and willing to help no matter what, always makes you feel like you have a personal trainer. So happy there is another gym in town! We need options.. The gym is sooo pretty fresh and new and the staff are amazing. They offer fresh clean towels and water. The vibe is so amazing! The owner makes you feel so welcomed.

Great positive atmosphere! I’m not usually comfortable in a public gym, but this feels so different from other gyms. It’s clean, my kids are welcome (with babysitting!) and there are classes for my whole family. The staff is so encouraging. Totally recommend checking them out.
