Trainers dress very unprofessional! Bernadette, one of the female trainers dresses too provocative when working. Some of the music in the classes has profanity which is offensive. The manager doesn't inforce the no video taping signs that are throughout the gym and let's this wannabe bodybuilder video tape himself all the time interrupting the work outs of others. They do nothing about it even though lots of good customers have complained about him. He puts all his videos on his social media so if you get stuck in one while you are trying to work out it's not fun! Also he is a real jerk and has video tapes others while they were working out and put those videos up on his social media as "gym fails" . This gym could be great but it needs help. Also it's very dirty!

So I purchased a 25.00 Groupon for VP fitness. On my first day, I lost the locker room key. I apologized after retrieving my belongings. The owner was rude and demanded 25 dollars for the lost key. When I explained that I didn't have the cash, he proceeded to ask me for a debit card. I told him I would pay the fee at a later date. He rudely stated," I can't run a business like this." I'm going to deny you access until you pay the 25 dollar lost key fee. This Groupon was going to be a trial run before I decided to join. Needless to say, I will be joining In shape in Hanford instead. So for 25 dollars I was able to work out for one day. I will not be returning. As far as I'm concerned, the 25 dollars I spent on the Groupon should cover the lost key cause.

Before I joined this gym, I went to check out In-Shape and then I went to check out VQ. In-Shape may have more options but the staff were so pompous, and absolutely unprofessional. I went to VQ, received a great welcome, no push to join, just information that I requested. I am now a member of VQ gym. Staff are helpful, professional, and respectful. Aaron is very helpful, from letting me text him with questions about my workout, to being there to help in person. VQ is a great place if all you want is a great work out, but if it is clicks you want, then check out In-Shape, they won't disappoint you.

Spacious and more than enough equipment. Very friendly staff, the owner Mike knows just about everyone by name. Locker rooms are very clean.

Improvements: keep up on maintenance on treadmills, multiple have been malfunctioning. Maybe label the dumbbell racks so patrons don't have to search long for the weight they are looking for. Also, find the elf that keeps stealing all the clips for the barbells, it seems like there is always a single set in the entire gym.

Do not go to this gym it is the worst gym ever! When I was signed up, I told them I needed childcare and my daughter was 5 wks old at the time. It was put on the contract that she was 5 wks, but when I went to work out the next day I was told she had to be 3 months to be in the daycare. Highly frustrated, because I had no one to watch my daughter and if I had known that I wouldn't have signed up for 3 months I wouldn't be able to use. The owner told me they wouldn't charge me until she was 3 months. The next month came around, and guess what, they charged me! I tried numerous times to contact the owner, and was constantly put on hold. I finally got ahold of him and he said I could come in and talk to him. So I went in that same day, which he looked irritated with because he had to deal with the problem they created. I waited to speak with him for about 30 minutes as he gossiped with employees in front of my face.

Ok, now this is when I finally got to use the gym. I was working out in zumba class, and after went to get my daughter in the daycare. I went to the corner where the play area was, and she was in the carseat not buckled in with no child care worker around. My daughter was face down in her carseat crying because she was stuck. I immediately went to the front desk to complain only to meet a male worker who just gave me a blank stare and slipped me a piece of paper. No apology, no nothing! I left my number and a message to be called. I even called that evening when I had cooled down to calmly explain the situation to the daycare worker. Her response was that the other girl was supposed to be watching my daughter. No apology just playing the blame game instead of being an adult and taking responsibility that no one gave a crap about my daughter's safety! And the girl is pregnant herself surprisingly. The next day no one ever called me! I had it with that gym it has gone down hill and I took my money to inshape! They even had the nerve to call me looking for money! Sorry VQ you are blocked from my bank account and won't get a dime from me! Maybe you need to work on how you treat the people who keep you in business. This used to be a great gym but it sucks now!

VQ customer service sucks. I just moved to the area and I called In Shape first and got great customer service by L.g. and then I called here and she must of ate too much Turkey last night because she was rude. I wanted to know how much there membership was and she told me I had to come in because they had to many packages to go over on the phone lol In Shape gave me no problems and gave me there Black Friday deal over the phone. I'm not wasting my time with this place.. if they treat potential customers this way then I can't imagine once you have signed a contract with them and your stuck there.

Thank you for proving my point by insulting me on your response to my review lol obviously the rude behavior I experienced on the phone follows your lead as the owner. I'm entitled to my opinion and its based on the experience I had with your employee. I'm not a fake person this review was based on my true experience. I would expect you to be professional regardless if you agree with my review or not. I may spell like a 3rd grader but your acting like one.. And BTW if your recording the conversations your supposed to inform your callers or your breaking privacy laws. I was never told I was being recorded.
In fact I just called and Danielle reconfirmed you have to come in to discuss pricing, its not done over the phone and she also didn't inform me I was being recorded.. per your own admission you record your callers. Your rude and you break the law and according to the other reviews you don't honor your contract.

Update: the owner deleted his response to my review. His comments were rude and insulting.

VQ did not assist me in canceling my membership correctly. Therefore I was charged an additional month that they will not refund me. I think this is a bad business decision on their part. I will never again re-join VQ and I will tell all who ask me not to join VQ since they conviently charged me an extra month of service that I clearly will not use.

VQ is a nice facility to work out at. However, based on my experience, I would recommend In Shape Fitness as a better alternative.

I want to thank Michael and the VQ Staff for their kindness over the pass few months and working with me so I could come down and workout and distress.....I used to belong to VQ a few years back when I lived here in Hanford...I have been here the past 3 months helping my Mom and my terminally ill Father until his passing last week.....Their kindness is greatly appreciated.....I would highly recommend this gym....they work with you....Thanks again........Deborah Downey, Las Vegas
