He's patient and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to injury prevention and his holistic approach to fitness. I started to work with Josie first who is an awesome trainer, and now working with Pontus who is also an excellent trainer. I was only in LA for a month, but that was enough time for me to see an improvement in my overall health with Westwood Private Fitness. Communication with Steve was smooth and I always got prompt responses. Soon after hearing my priorities and goals, he paired me with fitness coach Pontus Lundkvist, and I can’t imagine anyone better to have done my training with! Pontus has been one of the best coaches I’ve had. He’s respectful and kind but tells you when you can do better and push harder. He’s a great communicator and is always taking the time to ask you how you feel after certain exercises. The best part is that no workout feels redundant. He always has something new planned out but it undoubtedly fits into the overall arc of improving after each workout. His knowledge of the body and its functions related to fitness and movement are refreshing, so you can be assured that you’re always on the right track towards your goals. He’s your friend and motivator in the gym. Finally, Steve referred me to Robert when I was looking for a massage related to neck and upper back pain. Robert is a great conversationalist, so you’re never bored through the one hour massage. More so, after the massage I could feel my pain ease up. The stiffness was lower and I don’t remember getting the same pain I used to before the massage. He was also very open and encouraged me to reach out in case I had any difficulties or questions. Overall, I would recommend Westwood Private Fitness to anyone who is taking their health seriously and wants to finally see a transformation in themselves and their body. Though I’ve left LA, I would definitely wish to continue with Pontus and Westwood Private Fitness virtually for future sessions.

Steve has managed me from 205 lbs to 150 lbs. more importantly, i can do pull ups, i can handle the versa climber, and more. i'm not an athlete, not in any sense ... but he has gotten me thru it. He has also trained my wife and children at times during the decade together. if you want to get yourself in shape, 35-40 minutes a day, he's your guy. and, for what it's worth, i was a big doubter of the VIRTUAL workout, and during COVID we added that in for a few days a week. it works.

I've been training under Steve Jordan for 5 years at his gym here in Westwood and I've been taking his awesome virtual class on Zoom. His method of training is the best I've ever seen. Steve doesn't just want you to be in the best shape of your life for a season, he wants you to be in the best shape of your life for life. His training is focused on working out with the proper form and balance which means less injuries. When I came to him I was 50lbs overweight and I had cervical stenosis that was going to lead to neck surgery. With the proper workouts and his help, I lost the weight and I no longer have neck pain. I didn't have to get surgery! I cannot express enough how thankful I am for Steve. You should definitely workout with him and/or anyone who trains under him. You won't regret it!
