Hi guys! I would highly NOT recommend Wheatland Fitness to anyone. HIGHLY unprofessional owner who seems uninterested in helping, and would rather charge your card extra money. You will be met with reisistance and lack of transparency when trying to communicate issues.

What's most concerning, however, is the racist behavior experienced from the owner. As a paying customer, you expect to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of your background. Unfortunately, Wheatland Fitness currently falls short of this standard.

Until they address these serious issues, I wouldn't trust them with a membership.

Here’s some suggestions for improvement:

- Implement clear policies and procedures for handling paying customer complaints and concerns.
- Ensure transparency and consent for all charges and fees.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful environment for all members, regardless of background or identity.

FYI: this is NOT about a miscommunication in cancellation. It’s about how much this business has declined as a whole, overcharging people, and the mistreatment of your staff. God sees you Patty.

The hours - boy oh boy. It’s 2023. You’ve got to get up to par and have 24/365 access. Get key cards and a reader. You’re charging a premium price, similar to what any other gym would charge… much larger and well equipped gyms. The gym is nice, it’s clean, and the owner seems nice from my experience. I just can’t see myself ever going here with the restricted schedule it offers.

Great local small business.

The equipment selection is everything you need, and someone is always cleaning whenever I am here.

It gets a bit warm in the summer, I’m guessing because the power bills get outrageous… but I’ve also lost almost twice as much weight as my goals had planned out! So that little extra sweat was totally worth it!

The prices here are pretty good especially if you’ve got vet paid for a membership in the Sac area. I would have to spend a lot more in fuel to go anywhere else nearby.

They’ve got good snacks and there’s water for sale if you don’t want Wheatland’s finest fountain water.

Oh, and they have discounts for high school students, police and fire, and military!

This gym is absolutely awesome. The owner does an amazing job keeping the facility and equipment spotless clean. All the machines are maintained very well and you never have to wait to use a piece of equipment. I cannot say enough good things about the place.

Hello all, I have been reading the reviews, most are right on! But NOT Ramon Magaña! I have been going to the Wheatland Fitness for some time and know Patty and her mother for even longer. They are hard working business owners and are very dedicated to providing the best and most afforadable fitness experience for their clientele! Management is going through wonderful changes and I can't wait to see how well it does! Clean environment and incredible work out equipment selection. The music they play is super rad and so are the classes and daycare they provide

This gym is a complete disaster! I would not recommend this to anyone in the community or nearby at that. The owner phillis and the daughter (Patty) that runs the gym during the day (old hippie rude and crazy ladie) have no idea what customer experience means. The daughter cancelled my active Membership to charge me more for no reason. She also chased me to my car and cause an embarrassing scene because I decided to go elsewhere. They do not know how to run a business. They have lost over 80% of clients over the last 2 months due to their lack of management. All employees hate working there and the culture horrible, but its better than not having a job. Now i truly understand why this gym will never make it. To top it off i was a potential buyer and have met with the owner several times about this deal, im glad I dodged a bullet with this failing business. All of the equipment is old and smells. Their water fountain has a bacterial problem and plants grow from it. Good potential of a business, but the worst minded people running it. The owners daughter said i dont care of you leave or others at that. If they dont want to come here than thats your problem. This is a direct reflection to the loss of business here. Customer experience is everything in short and long term. Take care of your clients and you wont lose anyone.
