I started with Brett when I was post op my second ACL, and he had his work cut out. My leg strength was no where to be found. Thankfully Brett assessed my ability and put a plan in place to get me back to pre surgery strength. Happy to say I am back to running long distance, skiing, and having fun with my boys. Brett is super knowledgeable and knows when to push and when to back off. He constantly checks in on me, changes the workouts to accommodate, and consistently gives me feedback, which is a game changer. 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been training with Brett for the last year and a half five days a week. During that time, Brett has worked with me to help achieve my goals of weight loss and increasing strength.
Brett is a true professional and dedicated to his craft. He’s constantly working to better himself and is excellent at what he does.
During my time working with Brett, I have put on muscle and lost fat. Most impressively, I have had no injuries, which is nothing short of a miracle as I have previous sports injuries.
Brett is diligent about checking in with me and observing to make sure I’m lifting safely. He’s constantly customizing the plan that he has for me. He has helped me with meal planning, nutrition, and he’s helped me to achieve new personal records, which I thought were previously out of reach.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just getting started, you won’t find a better trainer than Brett. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

I absolutely loved working with Brett this summer before sophomore year of college! I grew up playing competitive golf and running, but never enjoyed going to the gym despite working with different trainers across San Diego county. However, over the past two months, I had a radically different experience. I met with Brett about twice a week and learned how to do/program dynamic, yet simple workouts with a huge kettlebell focus. I also learned "the why" behind every exercise and exactly which muscle groups I should be using. Brett is not only an expert in the field, but is also extremely respectful, encouraging, and an amazing role model. I had so much fun doing joint workouts with my dad and younger brother as well. Over the course of just a few weeks, I gained proficiency and confidence in the gym and also saw substantial improvements in my InBody Scan metrics. I could not recommend Wheeless Fitness more!

I recently had a chance to train with Brett while visiting my brother, a longtime personal training client of his. The experience was top notch. Brett had a tailored training session ready for us upon arrival and adjusted the workout mid-session according to pre-existing injuries. He pushed me hard without going too far and we all had a lot of fun along the way. I was smoked at the end of the workout but in all the right ways. If I lived in San Diego, I would absolutely work out regularly with Brett.

I was introduced to Brett by my neighbor. I couldn't help but notice the great positive changes that he did for her and I felt it was time to try something new. I have been active in several sports but my performance in surfing had been slipping over several years. I recently turned 60 and my regular gym work outs and constant surfing was good but it wasn't getting me to where i wanted to be. I had belly fat, my core was weak, effecting my surfing popup and I missed the energy that I used to have. In came Brett, he provided good dietary information and guidance and has crafted a workout regiment that pushes me, tests my will to change but doesn't hurt me. Brett is all about sustainable progress and helping to foster the habits that will make real change in the direction that YOU want to make. I am 15+ lbs lighter my core is getting stronger and I have more energy. Good part of this success is attributed to his guidance and his encouragement.
Straight talk: I thought I knew what to do in the gym and about the right choices in diet but the bottom line was I wasn't getting the results I wanted. I have seen friends and family members struggle with weight and fitness and in some cases lead to early life health challenges and mortality. It is never to late to make a difference in these areas and Brett helped and continues to help me. Brett surfs so he can relate to me but I watched him related to my wife, daughter and neighbor in a way that it is clear that he is committed to his customers. I really don't even feel like a customer, the relationship is more of a coach/friend. I was all in after our first workout. I highly recommend hiring Brett as your personal trainer because he knows how to get you to reach your goals. Whether it’s losing weight, firming, or getting stronger he tailors your home workout to achieve the results you want.
I’ve always worked out and in the past 15 years I’ve slowly gained weight. It doesn’t help when you have injuries that slow you down. So it’s great to have a trainer that knows which exercises won’t strain or exaggerate your injuries but still give you a great workout.
In the last few months, I’ve noticed more firmness throughout my body, increase stamina and the scale continues to go down. I highly recommend Brett! He is a great trainer, has a positive vibe, and definitely gets you the results you want. Try him out, you won’t regret it!!

There's no question that after every session, I'm so thankful that I found Wheeless Fitness. Brett brings the gym to you every time! Every session is different; challenging (sometimes extra-challenging) but safe and customized to your fitness goals. Ok I’m not a person who EVER reviews trainers but Brett is incredible! I’ve worked out with many trainers over the years, done classes and been a member of many gyms-but nothing is as effective as Brett’s workouts. One hour and I’ve burnt over 400 calories and I’m sore for days. Not to mention he is super personable and patient. In my experience, learning a new exercise can be intimidating, but not with Brett! If you’re looking for consistent results, Brett is your guy.

Brett's been my trainer for over 2 years now! I initially started training with him because of the amount of back pain I experienced from my job.
Now Brett's magic is manifesting in many other ways beyond keeping me healthy. I recently started climbing again and the three areas I was the weakest in the past - hip mobility (holding and moving off of high flexibility positions), shoulder stability (pressing power and holding dynamic moves), core tension (keeping my body in while climbing overhanging routes) are now my strongest areas and made me a much more technical and strong climber than I have ever been in the past. This past weekend I went outdoor for a 6 hour climbing trip, felt super strong, with no pain or soreness after.
I call this Brett's magic.

The excuses I usually have for not achieving my fitness goals (not enough time, fear of getting injured, too expensive, little physical/mental improvement, etc) have been squashed by Wheeless Fitness. Never thought I could look forward to a workout, but I have been converted with the energy, instruction and encouragement Brett and Chelsey bring directly to my teeny tiny backyard - along with their equipment (all I had to work with at the beginning of this partnership were ankle weights from the Jane Fonda era and my toddler’s jump rope). Brett is a true professional, and certainly does know “fitness”! He is a great motivator, pushing you to the limit, with a nice touch of humor.
It’s personal, Brett adjusts the exercise routine uniquely just for you! He helps you loose your body fat, gain muscle mass and increasing energy level.
Even with family session, Brett does adjust the exercise to suits us all, and making it a great family exercise time!
Lastly, we all are very busy, yet, Brett always does make the time to work with all our busy schedules.

Working with Brett has been a game changer. I'm someone who's been working out consistently the last 15 years, but wasn't necessarily seeing the results I was hoping for. Update 4/29/21: Two days ago I hiked Mt. St. Helens. 12 miles, 5,354 feet of elevation gain, 11 hours of hiking carrying a 20 pound pack. I am tired and a little sore but not destroyed and I made it to the top!! I credit Wheeless Fitness, Chelsey and prayer for my fortune to reach the top and see the glorious views. The variety of exercises in the routines Chelsey gave me provided overall fitness and strength. Thank you Wheeless Fitness!
Initial Post March 2021: Chelsey has worked hard to give me exercises that meet my goals of an active lifestyle after 60. She has helped me find total body exercise routines that have improved my overall fitness. I feel a lot stronger in areas that I never worked on as much. And she has encouraged more stretching in my normal routine, which has really paid off in flexibility and movement. I really appreciate the time she has put into the workout plans.

I started training with Brett in July 2020 and it has been amazing! I have seen my physical and mental strength increase exponentially in the past 5 months of working out with him. Post July I was struggling to find the right coping mechanism for dealing with the personal and professional stresses of this year due to the pandemic. All my anxiety went away once I started working out with Brett which helped tremendously with increasing my focus and energy at work and activities with my 2 kids (my 3-year-old child and my 40- year-old husband :) ) at home.
Brett focused on increasing my workout pace gradually concentrating on getting my form correct. Now, 5 months later, I am able to bench press 45 lbs without struggling. Something I never imagined I could do!! He is a great guy and I look forward to our workout sessions.

At the end of the day a personal trainer is a personal trainer— so what sets Brett and Chelsea apart? I’ll tell you! For one, I’ve loved meeting up with Chelsea at the park and she’s got the full gym set up ready for me. Even if I’m not motivated to workout she’s got enough motivation for both us of (and probably an army). I’ve often asked last minute if I can invite one or two others and she is always prepared with a workout for just me or a bigger group... and we’re always sore later which is the best part. Her flexible schedule and eagerness to accommodate make a huge difference. I also love that Chelsea and Brett are always high energy, easy to be around, motivating (but not over the top), and have the best stories. I look forward to every session.

I’m so grateful to have met Brett! Seriously, he changed my life. I needed a trainer to work on my posture, reduce my migraines and gain a little bit a weight. Brett really took time to understand my goals right at the beginning and we have worked together towards these goals for the past month. So far, my migraines have reduced, I gained some weight and I feel stronger than ever before. Brett is a really nice guy, very caring and thoughtful. He is always on time and super professional. He works with me at my pace but also pushes me just the right amount. He makes sure that I understand the purpose of every exercise and he doesn’t waste time during our sessions. He also designed me an off day training program based on my goals and my time and gave me advice about nutrition.
I’m going to continue training with Brett until all my goals are achieved. I recommend Brett to everybody serious about working out and willing to put the effort to make progress.
