I was so worried that a gym like this would be elitist, but they were so warm, open and welcome. People of all ages, genders, and levels come here.
I live in the North Valley and I drive all the way in here 4-5 times a week.

This review is for a purchase made through their website. I ordered 4 items for my husband, including a green/gold hat exactly as advertised. What arrived was a completely different hat—sent without my permission. I emailed the order support address and got no response. I tried calling the number in the email and the gym’s number, and both appear to be out of service. There is literally no way to get my money back or get this remedied. Extremely disappointing experience. Do not buy from their online store.

Had a great Experience at the Wild Card Gym. I felt very welcomed and was treated with patience and respect when I first stepped in . As a lifelong boxing fan it was an honor to meet Freddie. He is so humble and approachable. Took a picture with him and talked Boxing with the legendary coach. The gym is gym and people are there to train so I understand the constraints they put on visitors. Had the opportunity to meet pacquaio but my experience with Freddie made my day.

Wild Card Boxing is one of a kind! An incredible incubator of talent and an authentic, historic training gym. The 1-star reviews don't seem to understand what a *training* gym is or boxing etiquette. People are working in there - not just lifting weights or doing the stair master at a corporate gym. Please take the time to learn as it is unique and deserving of the utmost respect. I love this place. It was an honor to be able to train here while staying in LA for a couple of weeks. If you're interested in boxing there is no better place. It has everything you need for a great work-out. It's clean and the equipment is in great shape. The main thing to understand is that this place is not about fancy things. You won't find state-of-the-art exercise machines, flat-screen tv's or saunas with scented soap. But what you will find are the essentials of great training: solid equipment and a community of kind, helpful, extremely experienced/talented individuals. You'll have the opportunity to skip rope next to Olympic athletes, watch top pros spar and interact with objectively the best trainer in boxing. It's a place with great spirit and inspiration. And at $10/day it's a bargain.

Wild Card Boxing gym is the place to be. Not only is it owned by a renowned trainer Freddie Roach, but the other training staff are top notch. Wild Card boxing gym creates an atmosphere of togetherness whether you are a seasoned pro or just beginning. Encouragement all around. The staff along with the member are friendly and will give tips on what to do. I encourage anyone who wants to learn how to box to fight pro or just for a great workout t go to Wild Card boxing gym. Oh, almost forgot that it is very affordable on whether monthly or daily membership.

This place is so unorganized, they don’t how to explain themselves properly because they tryna finesse you out of the first $75 you have to pay them before starting. And they don’t tell you afterwards that you will need to buy a trainer as well which is starting from $400-1000, and this place is very rude they feel very entitled to the point they make you feel like not being no more.

This place is rude and disrespectful, I came in waiting for my friend outside and this guy came towards me telling me I have to move the car , constantly just pressuring me , i kept telling him , it’s not my car , I try to get my friends keys to move the car forward then some other guy told me I wasn’t allowed in the gym and they made me feel like I wasn’t welcomed , totally unprofessional then the manager wants to make me feel like I’m the one being wrong , I understand it was a hot sunny day but at the end of the day i don’t recommend no one coming here because they think they are professionals and there not , then she was recording me , making it seem like there are victims , like i was the one that caused everything . I just wanted to surround myself wit my friend to change my life and I was just waiting for him outside . But there this only this one guy that did act professional and stopped everything because the guy called me out to fight me , and this one guy stopped everything he told i understand it hot outside and we all get like this sometime , I ended up apologizing to the person that try to fight me because I didn’t have the best reaction , and I left and I felt like there were wrong and I was right . But I don’t recommend no one coming here tbh ,

I was training at the Wild Card Boxing Club back in 2019 when Manny Pacquiao was in camp for his fight against Keith Thurman! Had some good pad sessions there and i really enjoyed it. Loved the atmosphere and would train there again if i had the chance! Recommend it to everyone who is travelling in Los Angeles

This review IS NOT based off the fact that it's famous or known !!! This review is solely just my experience ! Ive boxed as a young teen (amateur) & for those who been in boxing, know a good gym. I was welcomed in and automatically loved the atmosphere & vibe and just knew that this is a place of real humbling boxing grit!! Many walks of life, sparring in the back, conversations and laughs all throughout, mitt training going on, coaches pushing their fighters ! And that tough sweet love talk like sailors in the NAVY ! I LOVED IT ! If you are expecting canned ambient lighting, staged grand boxing rings, a trainer with a headset teaching a choreography boxing glass, and a help-desk staff with extra amenities...then please just turn yourself around and exit IMMEDIATELY ! Boxing doesn't need u. I came from San Diego doing work in Los Angeles & i just wanna say thank you to Maria & Freddy for allowing me into your home. I will be coming again.

Had the pleasure of hooking my son up with boxing royalty Freddie Roach and former pro ‘Lucky Boy’ Omotoso at the legendary Wildcard Boxing Gym in Hollywood. Two absolute class guys who took time out to coach him and offer him top advice. Bunch of hypocrites. Got yelled at and almost kicked out for taking a picture. Meanwhile, everyone else is taking videos and pictures.
you pay $10 to hit a bag that you can be hitting at a gym. No one came up to ask me anything or even introduce themselves. Freddie roach was there and he was very polite. Everyone else seems rude and entitled.

What a pleasant and rewarding visit we had at Wild Card. I was saddened to hear that Manny Pacquiao the Legend had finally decided to hang up the Boxing gloves and retired from the sport he had given so much passion and brilliancy. I knew in my heart I had to visit Wild Card Boxing Club for the first time today, upon walking through the legendary doors, I was humbled at just how much everyone there was so kind, no egos just real boxers and beautiful people enjoying a workout in a place with so much rich Boxing history. I was greeted and welcomed soon as I came in and was encouraged to take a look around and also was given the opportunity to even train and sign up for a membership so should I have decided in doing so. With the greatest fighter that ever lived Pac-Man and the most brilliant coach in Freddie Roach, I know I will be back to train my heart out as Manny did for so many decades. Long live the greatest Boxer and Boxing Club where true champions are made. We love you Manny PACMAN Pacquiao, and I'll be back coach Freddie Roach to see you work some magic on the mitts as you have done so many countless hours and years. I have walked in and met Freddie once but I'm pretty nervous to start training at wildcard but I mean it's going to be my first time ever training at a gym. As a teenager till this day I've only taught myself by watching videos and I'm really serious about starting my dream at wildcard. This boxing gym is the best boxing gym in los angeles period. First of all, its $5 a day with ID. If you go more then 10x in a month. Pay the $50 for the monthly fee! Totally worth it! The amount of talent, exposure and networking opportunity here at wild card is priceless. If youre a serious boxer or even there for the great authentic enviroment, wild card will never let you down. One of the best trips I ever did was my trip to America. Was such a surreal experience getting to meet some of the greatest boxing legends on the planet. First day I was at the gym, Freddie Roach asks me do I want a look round the gym?!?! I was pinching myself to see if i was dreaming!!! How crazy was it chatting to a hall of famer, and the people there are awesome. Had the best 3 months in LA, only meant to go for 5 weeks. I have been going to the famous while Card gym for the last eight and half years if if you go early you can try to catch Freddie Roach in a good mood and get a picture taken with him when team pacquiao is training there you don't know how many hours we are waiting in the parking lot just to see team pacquiao coming in after Manny is done training we are all trying to catch a picture with him or get an autograph when we are waiting in the parking lot you don't know who will come through there may be a famous artist or a celebrity or another famous boxer or a famous actor or a famous trainer I will sure miss going there when team Pacquiao retires you just don't know how good and humble Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach are I love the whole team Pacquiao bring it home on April 9th beat the crap out of Bradley

Folks here are very friendly, you can usually get a quick convo in between rounds. When that bell rings, everyone here goes to work. Day pass is only $5 so its definitely worth it. Rob is very helpful with telling you about the trainers they have during the time you're there.
