I gave it a two star because it was the closest gym in the area. The bathroom had broken sinks and toilets that were usually out of service. The sauna was terrible because the door wouldn't fully close and that would let the heat escape. The equipment was good for how much they were charging every month. Other than that, it was bound for them to close down.

I understand why some believe a gym should not be fancy, just a place to work out with the right equipment. But this gym takes that philosophy too far. No one here re-racks the weights, and staff doesn't put them back either. The machines are broken, and they are filthy. Not slightly dirty, as you would expect by 4 in the afternoon - but days of sweat on these machines. There has been a broken mirror in the gym for months, and they don't even take it down - I saw new pieces of broken glass on the floor just the other day. The ceiling in the aerobics room was so bad, it was a danger to the people who took class there; they finally fixed it, but they sure took their time doing it, and at a risk of getting a major law suit if anything like an earthquake happened. The bathrooms are disgusting; I'd rather use the public bathrooms in Venice Beach. This gym was nice, not fancy, just nice, when it first opened. Anyway, DON'T JOIN THIS GYM NOW - THEY ARE CLOSING BY DECEMBER, 2016. Glendale is building another hotel on the site, because we all need a another hotel in Glendale.

Its so good if you really want to work out, and not to look for small details
and complain! For the yearly rate, it's a great place. I got my money back
by a great workout three days a week. Nice professional staff and very good
machines...Cannot ask for more. Thanks,

"This is a real gym".............. yeah, a real dirty, poorly managed gym. Absolutely the worst gym I ever attended. Weights strewn about the floor and members who like to chit chat while sitting at work stations and impeding those who really want to wok out from using equipment. And be careful when signing the agreement. I dealt with a horribly dishonest manager who explained that I could cancel my membership after one year. The gym was so terrible that I didn't use my membership for almost 9 months though I had to pay my monthly dues. At the end of a yrpearsyears, I informed the manager that I wanted to cancel but she informed me that I had to pay a cancellation fee. When I told her I had no intention of paying a cancellation fee, She continued debiting my checking account but finally stopped only after I filed a complaint with the office of the state attorney general. The attorney general'office informed me that the dishonest manager never responded to their inquiries which tells you a lot about her character and lack of ethics. The management are deplorable and unprofessional and the gym is dirty and disorganized. If you like headaches and want to pay for something you won't use, then by all means, join World Gym.
