X˙CORE trains and specializes in high intensity pilates that is the best muscle-sculpting, core strength training workout designed for full body conditioning in 45 minutes or less. This workout integrates the key elements of resistance and counter-resistance in a sequence that allows you to get the most out of each move. This encourages maximum exertion of one muscle group at a time in a low impact workout that reduces the risk of injury, allowing individuals with injuries participate while challenging our professional athletes.

Absolutely terrible experience with XCORE. I spent almost $200 on a membership and let them know immediately that I had a medical emergency and wouldn’t be able to use it right away. They completely ignored me. No response, no compassion, no attempt to work with me at all.
It’s disgusting how little they care once they have your money. Life happens, emergencies happen, and any decent business would at least respond or offer some kind of solution. Instead, they left me hanging and basically stole my money.
If you’re thinking about joining, think twice. They will take your cash and disappear the second you need help or basic human decency. This place is all about profit and zero about people.

I love X'CORE and there are some really great instructors here! I've taken a lot of classes with Elizabeth and Ellen and they are both excellent. Elizabeth has awesome playlists and is really great with corrections and mixing up the type/focus of the moves. Ellen does super helpful demonstrations and gives really encouraging direction. I've also taken classes with Shay, who kills my legs/glutes in the best way, and Alicia, who chooses nice variations and is really upbeat.
In general I would say the workout can be pretty intense, but there are always modifications that can be done to make it more doable (or more challenging) for each person. I've done lagree before and many different types of fitness classes, and this is one of my favorites.
I've never had an issue with parking (I almost always go in the mornings) and the space is very clean. My only wish is that there were some side mirrors or reflective window coverings or something so I can better check my form from the side. The room is otherwise great because you can see front and back mirrors for the most part.

The instructors are great, but I really dislike the assigned seating rule. It’s a Pilates studio. It’s should be a first come first serve basis. I really dislike being told where I have to sit at in class.

Terrible first experience. I booked a class with Brandon and was a few minutes late, it was my first time at this studio, and I didn’t realize how bad the parking situation was. The doors were still open, and I was setting my stuff down when Brandon told me to leave.
I explained it was my first visit, but he left me talking and didn’t even address me!
He was rude, unprofessional, and completely dismissive. I drove 25 minutes just to be kicked out. Absolutely unacceptable. I will never come back.

I’ve been a member of this community for about a year and a half and it’s been amazing. The classes are challenging but accessible, the trainers are all friendly and helpful and as a long time Oakland resident the facilities conveniently located with several class times. The greatest thing about Xcore is the level of kindness with which the community members treat one another. Making the choice to improve one’s self through any kind of group activity can put a person into a vulnerable state which may discourage them from attending the program, and the dignity and joy the Xcore team delivers to their patrons is awesome.

I have been taken over 250 classes for a year and a half and it feels amazing. It has become an important part of my health life and motivate me to try more new things for my body. I can feel my muscles get stronger after each class. The instructors are all super professional, friendly and patient. The room is spacious and only 10 spots for each class so everyone gets the attention they need. Would highly recommend this to anyone, especially ppl with injuries, this is very low impact and offers tons of alternatives for each move.

Ysabel gave me a great Pilates intro with the xBurn (basics) class. She clearly explained the machine, provided modifications to increase or lessen difficulty, and helped me with new moves without making me feel singled out. I loved it and I'll be back. The pacing of the class from one movement to the next makes the time go quickly. The room is kept comfortably cool and the machines are thoroughly cleaned after each use. I was able to buy comfortable grip socks just before class.

Arrived to class at 9:30, but was not allowed in. Ysabel asked if it was my first time there and I said no, but it was not my first time doing Pilates which she did not ask. She said I needed to be there ten minutes before. I’m not sure what she would’ve explained in ten minutes that I didn’t already know. I could have easily and quickly got set up. No grace was given whatsoever although I was there at the start time. They seem inflexible and rude.

As a former athlete & competitive dancer I was looking for something high intensity yet low impact. I stumbled across X-core in 2020 and attended my first class at the Piedmont location. It’s challenging & engaging! They opened Emeryville as their 2nd East Bay location recently. Parking is easy, there are mirrors on both sides to check your form at all times, and well maintained. I’m 100+ classes in and I can’t get enough! There are a variety of classes from regular pilates, HIIT, arms & abs, barre, and more to try out different instructors and times. They are also Asian-Woman owned, highly recommend!

Elizabeth is an awesome instructor. Gives clear cues and provides instruction throughout class on good form. If you are new to the workout you will benefit from her classes. She pushes you yet offers alternatives to modify which creates inclusivity for all skills levels. Personal, kind, great playlists…highly recommend her classes.Also two of my favorites instructors was Ysabel and Hannah always I booked my classes with those 3 instructors hopefully I will be back soon!!!!

X-CORE truly has been such an important part of my fitness journey! The growth that you see in your physical and mental strength is remarkable. Because of X-CORE, lagree has become my favorite form of movement. Each class challenges you to work hard, instructors are supportive & friendly, and the studio is well kept.
Whether you're a pilates pro or have been thinking about taking your first class for a while, I would highly recommend.

I used to go to XCORE Oakland locations before I had to move. Now that I’m finally back in the bay, I’m so thrilled to re-join the XCORE fam and that this new studio is close to where I am.
This studio is spacious, clean, and there is a parking lot! All the instructors are kind and awesome. The classes are short but so effective.
I wish there was an xcore studio wherever I move haha

Came here for the first time today and for my second time doing Pilates in a long time. Jaycie (I believe that’s how you spell her name) was such a great instructor! She explained everything so well and kept the energy upbeat and motivating! Would definitely come back to take her class. It was also very clean, spacious and parking wasn’t hard to find at all!
