I've been a regular at this gym, but there are a few recurring issues that really need attention:

Boxing Classes Interfering with Workout Areas:
The boxing classes consistently occupy the space around the sled machine, making it nearly impossible for other members to use it. This setup isn't ideal, and it would be much better if the classes were held in a designated area away from shared equipment.

Equipment Maintenance:
Certain machines keep breaking down repeatedly, and the repair times are much too long. It would make more sense for management to invest in additional units of the most frequently used and commonly broken machines. This would help reduce downtime and improve member experience.

Air Conditioning Issues
During the summer months, the gym is uncomfortably hot until mid-afternoon because the AC isn't turned on early enough. By 2 PM, it’s already too warm for the system to catch up. Turning on the AC in the morning would make a huge difference, but unfortunately, it seems like cost-cutting is being prioritized over member comfort.

Overall, it’s frustrating that these basic issues haven’t been addressed. I truly wish there were another gym nearby with better management practices.

I’ve been a member of Xpress Fitness for a while, and if there’s one thing that never changes, it’s how unbearably hot it is inside. No matter the time of year, it always feels like the AC is barely working, and during the summer, it’s worse than ever. Everyone is drenched in sweat, and it gets so uncomfortable that it’s hard to get through a workout.

Many of us have brought this up to the staff multiple times, but nothing ever gets done. For the longest time, we could at least check the thermostat to see just how hot it was, but recently, they actually taped it off with caution tape—almost like they don’t want us to know the temperature. Instead of fixing the issue, they’re just trying to hide it.

If you like working out in a sauna, this might be the gym for you. But if you actually want a comfortable environment to train in, I’d look elsewhere.

The gym staff are very polite and friendly. Lex is very motivating to hit the weights. The instructors in the Strong Nation / Zumba classes are all very professional and friendly. Irma and Victoria are excellent teachers and make working out fun, heart pumping, and welcoming to everyone walking into the classes. I have lost 40 lbs !!

Before I would always prefer doing my work outs at home because I would worry if I would be awkward or uncomfortable with others around me watching me working out lol . Had I known this place was closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day- I would not have signed up.
There are no mats to stretch on. They turn the sauna off well over 30 minutes before close. Culture in here people do not put away their weights. Miss my gym in LA.

Xpress Fitness!! Only $25 a month for the membership here. It’s hard to pick what I like best about this gym! I’ve been going to gyms & into fitness for 20+ years. I’ve lived in 13 states in America & been a member of corporate gyms & small gyms all over. Some of my favorites are In-Shape & 24 hour fitness. Xpress Fitness has only been open for two years & the improvements & maintenance made in equipment have been outstanding. This place is always kept clean This gym has every piece of equipment you need in a conventional gym like benches free weights & cable machines. plus all the extras like deadlifting platform, row machines, fitness studio with a variety of classes, boxing membership going 4 days a week for two hours for only $140 a month!! Conveniently located on shields & Brawley here on the west side of Fresno. Before this place there was nothing in the area so it would make sense if this gym opened just to take advantage of people & make money. However that’s not the case! The management & employees are very professional & quick to address all your questions, concerns & even suggestions. Looking forward to seeing what new equipment comes in next & so grateful for this awesome & friendly gym. Also the gym members here have a good understanding of gym etiquette & are pleasant to be around while getting a workout in. Much love & respect Xpress! (UPDATE) after some time it feels the gym's potential has slowed and turned into another planet fitness gym, you can't use chalk, boxing equipment is pretty much 1 Bag the rest is locked away in a outside cage room, they were adding mats but then it disappeared, manager made promises that never happened like them adding mats for wrestling or any martial arts even teaching takewondo classes telling us we would be able to use the mats in a couple week but they disappeared, it was a big deal breaker, heard from a friend the manager told them they were gonna add a ring when he saw them boxing that was like a year ago, while the juice bar is good its dead no one really buys from the nutritional and supplement shop and they raised the member prices including family bundle from $10 per member to $80 regardless of how many is in it from 6 members to 5 now. They add 1 machine every 3-4 months, They should merge the nutrition shop with the juice bar and replace the nutrition room with a mat room with padding on the walls so people can practice wrestling or judo and any other martial arts that would make meup my review to full stars again, this Gym has so much potential since it next to a lot of neighborhoods and can be one of the top gyms but it needs to meet its potential not add 1 variation of a squat machine every 3-4 months and add what they don't have like a mat room something no other gym has in fresno, but for now it's gonna be a 3 STAR

I had a membership here for a year. Paid 35$ a month for two people. It’s down the street from my house so I don’t really mind paying the 35. But honestly I just ended my year with them and they tried to charge me an annual fee of 50$ , not only that, but 50$ PER PERSON & pay the monthly fee of 37$ . Which equals out to 137$!!! Oh myyyyy. Okay that’s not the crazy part, luckily I didn’t have 137$ in my account when they tried pulling it out , that would of been a shocker!!! So yeah I cancelled my account and joined planet fitness . I only paid 6$ down, the annual fee is only 36$ and I pay 22$ for black card which I can bring 1 free person. It’s a little more of a drive but wayyyy better. Plus this gym only has so many machines and free weights. The free weight area is always crowded with groups of high school kids hogging the benches and weights.

The gym was nice and clean. There is a juice bar, classes, cardio equipment, and free weights. They provide wipes and spray to sanitize. Carmen gave me a tour and helped sign me up. She was friendly and answered my numerous questions. I also saw her sanitize the equipment as well.

I've been coming for several months now and everything was fine in the beginning. When I signed up, they posted fitness classes, sauna, basketball and boxing as their amenities. Those were the main reasons why I signed up. They still don't have a basketball court, they've taken down the punching bags, no fitness classes, and now you can only use the sauna between 5pm-10pm. The only thing I can use is the equipment, which is now slowly becoming unusable (except free weights). Manager lied about why they don't open the sauna during normal business hours. If I didn't pay up front for the year, I would not give them my business. I don't recommend this gym!

Also they don’t always match they’re scheduled time. I'm really enjoying this gym. They have some great workout equipment. Weights, elliptical and boxing lessons. They just started offering ZUMBA classes which I am really enjoying. The sauna is open now and I enjoy relaxing there after my workout. Lots of televisions. Good workout music. Also a great fresh juice bar.

I’m new to the area and was looking for a gym close by. I don’t mind going a gym that barely opened so my expectations are low because I expect everything to get better over time. This is a solid gym. I like the convenience and that fact that it is next to a grocery store is a bonus. Everything is clean, all members are friendly and if you don’t clean your station, someone from the staff will. They are very conscious of the pandemic and the members are compliant to the policy as well. I want to speak to the owner about possibly working here also. I’ve heard good things about him
