About the Club

The health and safety of our Y7 community is a top priority. All Y7 Studio locations are temporarily closed until further notice.

Y7 Studio is sweat dripping, beat bumping, candlelit yoga. All studios are heated to 80-90 degrees using state-of-the-art infrared technology, which helps create a detoxifying sweat that stimulates blood circulation and increases flexibility. Classes are paced to the beat of the music to drive the breath, with tracks from varied artists and genres. We practice in a dark, candlelit room with no mirrors to encourage you to turn your focus inward and explore your individual practice. We flow together, we flow hard.

When I left my yoga mat at the Silverlake Y7 studio over a rainy weekend, I emailed asking if they’d seen it and got a “we have tons of mats in the back, ask the front desk” in reply. When I went back to the studio, I got back a sopping wet yoga mat. I asked why it had been left out in the rain over the weekend, and the manager said - without remorse or apology - that there was no storage in the studio. Really bummed that the Manduka mat I’ve had for years is badly water-damaged. It just left a really bad taste in my mouth that this is how they treat first-time clients... this is just not what the spirit of yoga is all about :(

Always love coming into Y7 and challenging my body with a yoga class as opposed to the standard weight training/CrossFit style of workouts I’ve grown accustomed to the last decade. It seems the little challenges of muscles I rarely use tend to make me shake, sweat and squirm but it’s a must try workout.

It's way too dark in there I could hardly see the instructor. All lights were off with just tea lights on the floor. To make matters worse the walls were black which makes it so much darker. Not very friendly staff.

Y7’s space draws you inward and is one of a kind. I’ve enjoyed the diverse approaches that the fantastic instructors bring to the practice, each with their own signature style.

I want to highlight Mason’s spiritual/holistic approach to sculpting and her intentional, incremental transition between poses that compels us to slow down, breathe and connect with our body. The intimate space is also a bonus!

Y7 saved my life when I first moved to Los Angeles. I was still getting acclimated to life here, but hadn't yet sorted out a good work out routine. When I was invited to the studio by a friend, and discovered hip hop Sundays, my complacency and depression were over. The minute they reopen, I'll be back.

I recently took a Sculpt class with Monica and was really impressed. Even though it was my first class with her, she made me feel welcomed by engaging in a friendly conversation beforehand. Her teaching style was clear and encouraging, keeping the class at a great pace while offering modifications for everyone. Monica’s positive energy made the class enjoyable and left me feeling energized. I’m definitely looking forward to taking another class with her!

I used Classpass, and this place marked me as having missed my class even though I was there. When I checked in I gave the lady at the front desk my name, so there’s really no excuse for this. Classpass charges a $17 fee for missed classes, so this is a really bad thing to do to your customers. You have no phone number so it’s not easy to reach you. Please correct this immediately so I don’t get charged

I started going to y7 in Brooklyn and have enjoyed going to this Silver Lake location since moving to LA several years ago. Staff members are lovely, nice showers (an outdoor one!) and the instructors are all great! Ive noticed the rooms seem to be getting a bit hotter (I thought they were listed as high 80s/90 max but theyre often at 92-94.) And I wish they would add hooks to the showers/bathrooms! But other than that, 10/10 :)

All of the instructors at Y7 are amazing, but Lux is my favorite. Her classes are challenging, fun, always guided by great instruction and awesome playlists! I always feel like I worked both sides equally and that her sequences are easy to flow through. Even when things get though she always has words of encouragement. Thank you Lux for being awesome!

Not a fan. I signed up for their 3 class special and after the first class I didn’t want to go back, but I thought I’d give it a couple more tries and try different styles of classes and instructors. Didn’t like any of the classes. I’ve taken a lot of heated yoga classes and this was an experience I left feeling gross, not stronger or more relaxed.

After class the cleaning of equipment is left to people taking the class to use a wet wipe. How do you actually thoroughly clean cloth bands with a wet wipe? That feels a bit unhygienic and combining that with a personal unliking to the style of their classes, I won’t be going back.

I also was a bit surprised that the products in the bathroom weren’t more mindful, like nontoxic.

The parking lot is small, but I personally never had an issue parking. I can see though that it could be during busy classes.

Love this yoga studio. Everything about it. Shoutout to my favorite instructor Cassandra (not just bc we have the same name). Lux is also amazing. But I've never done a class here I didn't love. Well-structured flows, but also room to take agency over how you want to use the time. Love the dark candlelit room. Love the music

Absolutely amazing class!!! Loved the dim lighting, no mirror, hip hop music. Much different than other yoga classes I’ve taken. I loved the vibe - it’s very much “go at your own pace and do your own thing” rather than a competition to do the most & hardest poses. I feel very loose after my class. Complimentary towels, lockers, and parking. It’s also very close to bus stations for buses 2&4. Highly recommend!!! 💕

Cassandra was such a lovely teacher! Equal parts gentle and supportive/motivating! I’m new to yoga and really felt like this was the best experience I’ve had yet. I’ve been hoping yoga could be spiritual, healing and also a great workout without being overwhelming and her class felt like it touched all 3 beautifully!! 10/10 would reccomend. I’ll for sure be back :) thank you Cassandra! You rock!

I love Maddie's class and take it after work on Thursdays because it helps me re-ground myself. The only feedback I would give is a longer savasana (and for all y7 classes). The best part is the total relaxation/letting go you feel after being guided through moving meditation. Her alignment cues are always on point and she also brings in nuggets of wisdom that always hit and that I work on bringing into everyday life. Thank you :)

Hated this experience. The teacher spent the entire class yelling “WHY AREN’T YOU LISTENING TO ME?!” after starting the class saying everyone should take it at their own pace. The facilities are a glorified garage and they play offensively loud dance music the whole class. It’s anything but relaxing.

came here with classpass and then ended up signing up for a membership! (was not pushed into it by any means I just really enjoyed my experience with the studio). I'm relatively new to practicing yoga and doing so consistently but I really enjoy the teachers I've had so far and I love the cold plunge. Studio is always clean, staff is friendly and bathroom/showers are nice as well. Sad I only just discovered it after living here for years!

The employees are so rude at the front desk. You could be 1 minute late and they will not let you in the class, but the issue is the way the employees talk to you and are so unprofessional about it. Like I’m trying my best to make your class 40min drive away and pay you, show some sympathy I’m 1min late, but at the least don’t be mean to your customers. Some of the yoga instructors are amazing and other instructors are not that great.

Was inspired today to post an ode to Y7 🧘‍♀️✨ my favorite yoga studio in LA! While it takes a couple classes to get accustomed to their WeFlowHard style of yoga - being a regular is so rewarding! They have such an amazing, diverse + committed staff of teachers who each have their own style + flair. Over time you learn each pose by name + it grows empowering to truly flow on your own. With the candlelit room, Palo Santo burning + music bumping it’s truly a one of a kind, centering experience.

But a special new highlight is the Guided Breathwork + Cold Plunge class - and I want to give a special shout out to Marquita who makes it a truly spiritual + grounding practice each time. She reminds you every time is the first time, encourages you to set an intention - and I’ve had such profound moments of release in her class in particular. If you have the privilege of taking her class - she really knows how to talk you through the experience in the most supportive + encouraging way 🙏💖 Much love, Y7!

Late policy is ridiculously strict. Make sure you come well before your class time, because you have no time to be a human and have trouble finding parking or even finding the entrance on your first time coming to the studio on SUNSET Blvd, in Los Angeles California and No parking, and hella traffics. Would expect a lot more grace from a yoga studio, but it’s LA of course it’s just a bunch of fake woke money hungry people working here/ running this place.

Speaking as someone who has lived in this neighborhood for 20years now, this studio's patrons are often obnoxious, and entitled and take up all of our neighborhood parking. Had someone who literally mocked me for wanting to park in front of my house to unload my groceries...and there was parking elsewhere....also not the first time this has happened in my neighborhood.

Not relaxing. Think soul cycle but yoga. The instructor is yelling over the loud music the entirety of the class. Yes the whole class.
I was expecting music but not as loud as a club, and to be honest pretty uncomfortable when its strictly hip hop and r&b in a room filled with almost all white people. It’s an acquired taste.

Y7’s IG is full of beautiful POC and maybe their locations in NYC are that diverse but this location in Silverlake was VERY WHITE. And as an Afro-Latina, I felt uncomfortable being in their small, shipping container sized studio with white women all around me and a white instructor who sounded like a stereotypical sheltered valley girl who has never been exposed to any of the rich BROWN culture & historical & spiritual roots of Yoga. The class ended with the instructor talking about her Ed Sheeran & Rihanna inspired yoga class on the weekends and I wanted to barf. I was so uncomfortable. It was weird and like a horror film being in a confined space when you are the ONLY woman of color practicing something that originates from other people of color. I felt like I was in Get Out. It was crazy triggering and traumatizing for me.

I stayed after to ask if this studio was predominately white and the instructor was infuriated with me for asking but it’s a straight forward question that I guess others are uncomfortable asking let alone answering. But its an important question because as a POC and a 300hr ERYT, I want to practice Yoga and feel safe and like I’m in an inclusive and diverse environment.

All of this has inspired to open my own space for POC folks to practice yoga & meditation. So thanks Y7 for the business idea! But you definitely lost a customer and I will certainly advise other POC to be wary of this space as well.

This studio has been flagrantly ignoring COVID protocol during the pandemic.

Despite the public health mandate requiring masks indoors, including in exercise classes, Y7 has decided to make masks optional in the yoga studio. There was no prior information or warning that would've allowed me to choose not to participate and put myself at risk. Halfway through the class I look around and see that most people in the class, including the instructor, are not wearing masks and I immediately left. The room is small, completely full of sweaty people, and unventilated. If someone in that room has COVID, everyone is exposed.

The manager and HR staff I spoke with were totally unapologetic and refused to even address the Los Angeles mask mandate. It's really strange to me that a business would deliberately choose to put their customers at risk like this.

When I pressed the manager on my concerns surrounding the health hazards, she left it at: "this clearly isn't the right studio for you." At least we agreed on something!

I got out of my car at 12:01 for a class at 12. She absolutely would not let me in. Which sucks because I was meeting a friend here. I think there should at least be a 5 min grace period. Typical LA. Pretentious. Pretty bs policy. Will be using my one credit but I would not return.

Loved my experience here. I don't live locally so I've had to make a trip to attend a few classes. The experience is very consistent, so no matter the instructor, I got a great class. Each parking (a miracle in LA) and great amenities. The class is a perfect amount of hot and the flows make sense and are totally manageable when it's time to tackle it yourself

Love this location! 15 PARKING SPOTS!!! I do Y7 in NY and out of all the locations in both cities this is one of my favorites! I went to the West Hollywood location first and this once is far superior. First of all the studio itself is large and the heat is regulated well. The staff here was so wonderful and no need to fight for parking. I am definitely going back! I love their classes. You feel so good after. Make sure to try the outdoor shower! Made me feel like I was on vacation in nantucket in the summer. I went to an 11a class which was super nice (not crowded!) I am definitely going back for more.
