The front person seemed annoyed for no reason first time but when tried again he seemed okay. Overall recommend the studio.

Yoga Flow SF in Noe Valley is an absolute gem, especially for prenatal and postnatal yoga! Jane Austin’s classes are truly incredible—she creates such a warm, supportive, and empowering space for moms and moms-to-be. Her deep knowledge, calming presence, and sense of community make every class feel like a gift.

During pregnancy, her prenatal classes helped me stay strong, ease discomfort, and feel more connected to my body and baby. Postnatally, her classes were just as amazing, offering the perfect balance of movement, recovery, and much-needed self-care.

If you’re expecting or a new parent, I can’t recommend Jane Austin’s classes enough. Yoga Flow SF is lucky to have her, and so are we! 💕

Review for Rowena & Gregory's Hips & Pelvis Release Workshop

As an observer of the hips and pelvis tension release workshop, I found it an enriching and novel experience to see two distinct physical practices—yoga and myofascial release therapy (MFR)—integrated so thoughtfully. This combination provided a valuable addition to the wellness toolkit, demonstrating how MFR can serve as a complementary tool to yoga in supporting overall wellness and managing physical health.

The presentation, along with the slideshow and Q&A session, was informative. We learned about fascia as a system that supports our daily well-being, how it moves, and how releasing it can help our bodies better respond to stressors. The opportunity to ask questions and hear insights from others with different backgrounds broadened my perspective on the impact of mobility. Although I attended as an observer, I found the workshop highly insightful and would recommend it to others. There's enough depth in the material to attend more than once and still gain new insights.

Rowena and Greg generously bring their expertise to offer students a unique and holistic practice. You are literally in great hands during this workshop. Rowena’s compassion and dedication as a healer/practitioner shine through as she skillfully attunes to the needs of her students. During the workshop, she thoughtfully provided modifications tailored to individual needs, ensuring that the poses were not only accessible but also comfortable.

Greg’s intuitive approach allows him to pinpoint areas of tension in participants’ bodies and accurately target treatment areas for deeper release. His hands-on guidance was clear and descriptive, making the practice of MFR with a partner both practical and approachable. Greg encouraged participants to listen to their partner’s feedback as well as their own limitations, ensuring that the practice remained safe and comfortable for everyone involved.

I'm not very experienced with yoga or pregnancy but Jane Austin offers a genuinely welcoming, pleasant and enjoyable prenatal yoga class. Her outgoing demeanor, sense of humor, and level of comfort and confidence around pregnant people makes the sessions seem extra special. You're not just signing up to do some moves on a mat--Jane often shares a series of helpful pregnancy and baby-related tips and funny anecdotes throughout the sessions and during poses. Despite her large volume of session participants he also appears to have that natural skill of remembering names. I've only attended two of her sessions so far and it already feels like spending time with a caring friend.

Yoga flow SF is a fantastic hot yoga studio! The interior is such a vibe with the color changing LED lights and minimal decor. The instructors keep the studio at a good temperature, hot but not overwhelming. I’ve been going for a year, the classes are always solid. My favorite instructors are Rowena, Natalie, and Brad. I really appreciate their focus on breath in combination with the practice and their insightful pose corrections. I’ve also taken classes with Danimal and Jim, both are good instructors their classes are more workout + yoga than traditional yoga.

I recently did Rowena’s “progression to headstand” January program and had an amazing experience. I went from struggling in dolphin to getting into my first tucked headstand all within a few short weeks! I appreciate that all the instructors offer modifications and poses at different levels.

On a recent visit to SF, I did the one week intro special. During that intro period, they did charge for mats and towels, which was a bit excessive.

They offer a variety of class times and slightly different styles which is helpful. Classes on Mondays and Fridays seem to be packed.

This is not classical yoga by any means, but it gets the job done if you want to maintain habits and discipline. Of the instructors I experienced, I appreciated the instruction of Danimal and Martin the most.

Most recent update:
This studio is really great, Jane Austin (instructor) and Hannah (front desk mgr) are wonderfully sweet and accommodating. It's a pleasure coming to the studio for Jane's classes.

New Update:
Hannah/Hanna from the studio called me back a couple hours later and made things right. She gave me a class credit and I really appreciated our interaction and am looking forward to trying out the prenatal yoga classes.

Old review:
Will change review when their studio responds to help me out.

Today I signed up for the new client special ($25 unlimited 1 week). When I called to see if I could get my classes to start next week instead of today, the male who answered refused to repeat the email address I should send an inquiry to. I mentioned I didn't catch the email the first time, and he said "email the website" which made no sense. I asked him what he meant and then he promptly hung up on me. I called back a handful of times after, and he refused to answer my call and it just rang then the receiver would click on and I'd get hung up on again.
I wasn't even being rude or mean, he seriously just hung up on me for no reason when I was trying to seek assistance! This place came recommended by my midwife, but I'm seriously shocked this was the first interaction with this studio.

Revising my review and removing a star because this studio overbooks its classes, so you need to make sure you’re there early if you want a seat.

Excellent space, and Jenny was a fantastic instructor- she brings such a calming and reflective energy to the class even though it was a good workout. Love it here.

I finally found a hot power studio in SF!!! I love the community and the staff. The pace of flow really depends on the teacher, so if you’re picky (like me) look up their bio before you book.

Disclaimer: Yoga Flow is a dynamic and athletic form of yoga, which I'm struggling to learn since I'm about as flexible as a door.

Upon arrival for the first time, I was greeted by Leslie, who quickly explained how the studio works. After class began, I was quickly drawn to the attention given to each student, regardless of level, and to the quiet, calming atmosphere created by the voice, the music and the dimmed lights. It is physically challenging, so prepare to sweat and stretch muscles one did not know existed. After a good hour of exercise, the meditation at the end is simply magical and truly reinvigorating. I went back and had more sessions with Leslie and Martin and I can only say good things about each experience. The prices are reasonable, the environment is great, the instructors kind and professional and they even offer a week for $7 to start with.

So, if you're in San Francisco, look no further for a Yoga Flow studio. This is one as good as it gets.

Although expensive for just a drop-in class, the Yoga Flow studio in Noe is amazing. It is very clean - the studio and the bathroom, the staff at front are helpful, and all of the teachers I've had have been fantastic. I love the cool vibe with its great music and LED soft lighting. Highly recommned this studio. Great value for the new student week of classes.

Absolutely love this studio! It’s clean, bright, and spacious. The heated studio is perfect for a cozy, but challenging yoga practice and the flexibility in lighting makes it feel like a dynamic experience every time. All the teachers are amazing. They each have their own unique style, but I love it every time. Highly, highly recommend. The perfect neighborhood studio in Noe.

I've been practicing yoga for 15 years and am a 500 RYT on the East Coast. Whenever I visit my brother in San Francisco, I make my way to this studio, and I am never disappointed. The instructors are warm, knowledgeable, and creative with their sequencing and the studio is always staffed with super sweet, kind people. I have been to a couple of the YF SF studio locations ~ it's the only studio I'll practice in when I'm in town!. Thanks so much for creating such a fantastic space.

I am in love with Yoga Flow Noe! First off, the space is magical. It's immaculate, warm, relaxing. The low lighting changes colors to set a great mood. There are even showers! I've taken several classes and among my faves are Jackie's mellow flow class on T/Th morning and Lane's Yoga Nidra class on Friday morning. I always leave relaxed and energized at the same time. I really can't say enough good things about the studio.

Just WOW! AMAZING CLASSES/BEAUTIFUL STUDIO! It's a complete sanctuary that has a warming feeling the moment you walk in the door. Studio has beautiful exposed wood beams, mood lighting of changing hues as you flow through your class, and a lovely washroom with wood/stones accents creating the perfect space for harmony/balance. I'm an instructor for YFSF (Union St) and have taken most of the classes from teachers on the schedule at this studio. They are all ROCK STARS that are sure to get you bending, binding, floating, twisting, sweating, and feeling better! Had a great time at this studio and excited to return again soon!
