Michaela is truly one of a kind. She’s the only yoga teacher who ever genuinely stuck with me, and I’m so grateful I found her class. I’ve always had a fear of being judged, and I deal with some nerve issues that make certain movements harder for me. She never makes me feel out of place. Instead, she constantly motivates everyone to go at their own pace, to honor where their bodies are that day, and to move without pressure or comparison.
I used to hate the idea of yoga and honestly never thought it was for me. But giving it a try with her completely changed that. Her classes are grounding, thoughtful, and full of gentle cues that make every flow accessible. I walk out feeling calm, supported, and so much more connected to myself.
Because of her, yoga has become a weekly routine I look forward to. I always leave feeling relaxed and proud of myself for showing up. She’s truly special and such a star on the team … compassionate, knowledgeable, and naturally uplifting. I can’t recommend her enough.

I’ve been attending yoga classes at Yoga Flow SF-Ocean for 2 years, and it has been a wonderful experience. The studio is always very clean, welcoming, and has a calming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and focus. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my energy and overall health since practicing here.
A special mention to Linda Souders, who is an excellent instructor—calm, knowledgeable, and very attentive to everyone’s needs. She creates a supportive environment that makes each class enjoyable and beneficial. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to improve both body and mind!

Love the place, the staff and the instructors. My only complaint is that some sessions are largely overbooked. They cram way too many people in and you end up doing your class against the wall or glued against the cubicle. The sessions with Neil on Sunday morning and Saturday are great but expect to have someone's butt in your face during some poses. Even you show up 15mn early. Simply wish the staff would cap the number of attendees at something more reasonable (and I am.not talking about the safety limitations imposed by code, I mean the number that allows every attendees to actually enjoy the class in reasonable conditions). I will continue to be a member but will avoid these sessions.

I just completed the Relax & Restore Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training with the legendary Judith Hanson Lasater at Yoga Flow's Ocean Avenue studio—and I can’t say enough good things about the experience.
The studio itself is stunning—bright, spacious, calming, and impeccably maintained. Hosting 40 of us for a weeklong training is no small feat, and Yoga Flow facilitated it beautifully. Everything was seamless and supportive.
A special shoutout to Michaela, who works at the studio and also participated in the training. Her warmth, kindness, and helpfulness stood out from day one. She made every single person feel seen and cared for, which added a special touch to an already magical experience.
The training with Judith was deeply inspiring, and having it hosted at such a welcoming and professionally run studio truly enhanced the entire journey.
If you’re considering a training, class, or workshop at Yoga Flow—do it! This place is a gem.

I really liked this yoga studio, especially heated yoga is the best. Sometimes its just really crowded, and there is no own space. And if its your first class you get rent a yoga-mat for free or you can actually buy one. Overall 👍🏻

I enjoy this yoga studio as all their instructors are lovely and the classes are geared for a good work out. Their 12-1pm class is a perfect time for those who work and parents who can get in some exercise while kids are at school. I do wish they had more affordable rates though for their class packs or unlimited class memberships.

My favorite yoga studio in SF. I love all the instructors at this location . I usually take Neil’s class . His class is intense , combination of meditation and core workout with his amazing live drumming rhythm. I feel rejuvenated and re-energized after his class . Usually his class is packed with many people so if you mind having too many people around you , this is not the right class for you.

I've been going to SF Yoga Flow for 5 or 6 years now and I just love this business, their space, and their teachers.
I took from Neil Wadhawan again today and he is so amazing. He practices a very strong, solid flow that is interspersed with some philosophy, some music, and encouragement and humor.
The space is in this old San Francisco ballroom and it's so beautiful and peaceful.
Beware, this is HOT yoga! Not bikram, but the room is heated. You should bring a face towel at a bare minimum and a big bottle of water.

One of the most beautiful studios I have seen, and extremely welcoming. There is something so warm and humble about everyone there and it makes learning/practicing yoga so fun and not intimidating at all. I no longer live in the area and will miss practicing at this studio so much!

While the single workshop was wonderful, the endless emails from different addresses at this business have been a hassle. I’ve unsubscribed from many, “junked” the from address several times, emailed numerous times, and called asking politely. Having connected and been told twice my address was removed and continuing to get emails leaves me with little choice but leaving this petty review. I invite you to fiercely protect your email with this business.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED with the POOR customer service experience I received at the Walnut Creek location. I am FULLY vaccinated as a healthcare worker but was denied entry to the class I had already signed up for. DO NOT GO TO YOGA FLOW SF studios as I have never received this much DISRESPECT from a facility towards the people who work so hard to protect everyone during COVID. Steven and Kathleen Holm's businesses will probably all shut down at this rate of losing customers.
*Response: I informed the front desk person that I had been vaccinated out-of-state and we DO NOT use digital vaccine records online. Even if I was vaccinated in CA, the fact that she tried to check my vaccination online is ILLEGAL. It says on the CA vaccination record website for any verification, "YOU ARE DECLARING UNDER THE PENALTY OF PERJURY under the laws of the State of CA that you are the patient or parent/guardian of the Patient and are therefore authorized to access the Patient's immunization record." I repeatedly explained to her that I will come back with my vaccination proof before my next class since it can't be the first time someone has forgotten their card. I even said that I always wear my mask to protect my elderly patients even outside the hospital and do not plan to take it off during class. She still rudely FORCED ME OUT THE DOOR.

I was extremely excited about finding this studio and getting my first week new student special pass. I arranged time and made plans to go on a 4:30pm class on Saturday. I read their website and policies on the website ahead of time, signed all the waivers. Paid someone to watch my child, drove 25+ minutes to get to the location. Upon arrival I was asked for a proof of jab, which I wasn’t able to present at the time. Instead of looking into my issue, they decided to discriminate me and not let me in the class. I spoke to one of the owners on the phone and explained how their website did not mention proof of jab at any point, not even on the rona waiver. If you have “masks required” on your website, then you should have “rona jab required” on your website as well. Disappointing and very sad to know another business that is supposed to advocate for “Yoga” is engaging in discriminatory behaviors such as this.

This is a wonderful yoga studio and I feel lucky to be a part of the community and practice. They've established something very special in this neighborhood near the San Francisco City College main campus. All of the instructors are excellent, experienced, clear and encouraging... there is a mix of younger & older, plus very skilled and beginning students that make classes inspiring but not intimidating. The studio itself is an historic, magical space with soaring ceilings, large windows (that can be shaded) - a beautiful wood floor and in-studio shelving to store your belongings, etc. They put a lot into designing the sound system especially for the room, warm lighting is perfectly placed and the heating system is the best I've felt to get the blood, bones and muscles humming. All of these details and the welcoming staff make it easier to move quickly from the outside world into the spiritual and physical practice. If you're visiting San Francisco it's a good reason to get into an interesting neighborhood and enjoy an uplifting yoga experience.

Gorgeous interior, easy free parking, the largest yoga studio in SF, and heated classes! And of course the teachers are awesome!
Have been going here for several years and over 200 classes and I keep coming back to this location (they have 2 others in sf).
General FYIs. Heated vinyas mostly. Not hot yoga but not room temp either. No showers. And they do focus more on mantra / singing compared to other studios in the beginning and end of class

My favorite studio. I was hesitant to leave an honest review as I don’t want my favorite studio so packed:)) but I’m an honest business owner and need to spread the love. I feel my life is back since I started coming back.

Yogaflow teachers are the best! At first, I wasn’t sure about yoga, but the teachers and great music helped me learn to accept my body’s abilities at any given time. I have progressed and able to do poses that I didn’t think I was capable of.
Pre-pandemic, I loved going in person to their studio. The heated classes made me feel like I had such a great workout, but felt spiritually and mentally refreshed too.
During the pandemic, I connected to Yogaflow’s online virtual classes. $60 for unlimited classes for 2 weeks. I love that they also send you a recording of the class you can access for 2 days. It has kept me active and sane.

Awesome Yoga Studio.
When I moved to San Francisco about two years ago, I had zero interest in becoming a 'yoga person.' Yoga was not even on my radar until my doctor recommended I try it out to deal with pandemic stress. After about six months at this studio, I still LOVE it.
After my first class, I felt more grounded and relaxed than I had felt in about six months. I never thought that moving around in so many ways (and sometimes trying to contort yourself like a pretzel) could be so effective at getting me out of my head. I also realized there is no such thing as a 'yoga person.' People from all walks of life show up to class, no one judges you for being new, and everyone is pretty friendly. Now I am a full-on yogi and go almost every week.
As far as the studio itself, all of the staff are super welcoming, and everyone seems very happy to be there. The building has an old-timey San Francisco charm, cool lights, and a solid sound system. Each teacher has a passion for what they do and a slightly different style for running their class, making for an exciting variety of workouts.
ALL the teachers are great.
If you like yoga, go to this studio. If you haven't tried yoga, do it here.

Yoga Flow is one of, if not the most, beautiful yoga studios, anywhere. Spacious, airy, with huge windows, and cool lighting. The quality of Yoga Flow teachers is superb. The front desk staff are welcoming. And - bonus - parking is not bad. If you like heated yoga (not crazy hot yoga, just heated) or have been interested in checking it out, this studio is fabulous.

5 reasons to enjoy the fabulous classes at Yoga Flow Ocean
1. The space is SO gorgeous! High ceilings, huge practice space, expansive windows, flooded with natural light, and infused with ambient heat.
2. The instructors are top notch. Cueing is clear, tight, intelligent, and detailed, and most instructors offer modifications for both less experienced and more advanced students.
3. They have a kind, dedicated customer service staff, who are promptly responsive.
4. They have made consistent, ongoing adjustments during COVID to keep studios safe when they are permitted to be open, while simultaneously creating a seamless livestream experience.
5. The schedule offers all day classes with lots of variety.
Go Flow!

I recently bought a 10 class pass. I absolutely love the location, studio and teachers but I am really disappointed with the "heated" classes. Having spent 17 years going to Yoga Tree SF where most of the teachers turn the heat way down once the class is warmed up I am having a really tough time near the middle to end of class. The non-heated classes are great and plenty warm!! I wish there were more of those.
