I've had the pleasure of practicing at Yoga One for over 3 years, and it's been a truly transformative experience. The owners and staff are professional, friendly, and welcoming, making every visit feel like coming home. Instructors are skilled and clear in their guidance, ensuring that students of all levels feel comfortable and supported, while also keeping the atmosphere lighthearted and fun.
Since joining, I've seen significant improvements in my flexibility and stamina. The classes are thoughtfully designed to challenge and encourage growth at your own pace, fostering progress in both physical and mental well-being. The studio itself has a zen-like atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease, creating a peaceful space for deepening your practice.
What sets Yoga One apart is the sense of community. From the staff to fellow practitioners, there’s a genuine support and connection that makes each visit even more special. Whether you're new or experienced, the clear guidance and calming, relaxed environment make it easy to grow and feel part of something greater.
Each class leaves me feeling rejuvenated, centered, and proud of my progress. I highly recommend Yoga One to anyone looking for a welcoming, peaceful, and professional space to improve their practice while enjoying the journey and being part of an amazing community.

I am an older student who can't always get to the studio and am so grateful that they still offer on-line classes. I have been attending the Friday night restorative yoga since the 1st night it went on line. Missy and the occasional substitute teacher are all wonderful and make the whole experience perfect. When going into the studio there is a warm welcoming, like you are family, and an energy that I have not found anywhere else.

This place is a home away from home. The teachers here have so much soul and knowledge to share. I leave feeling more whole! Amy’s classes are lots of challenging fun. Michael’s classes have a lot of dad jokes. And missy’s classes are pure relaxation. 10/10 recommend

Gosh I miss this place and so glad it is still in business. I used to go there sometimes twice a day in the morning and the evening classes. They taught me handstands so fast which I thought I could never do. And by not teaching but allowing you to figure it out with proper guidance at your own pace. Worked for me.
Adore this studio, loved the instructors and would recommend to not judge it (by looks) until u try it. I think their original/unpolished/ not upgraded interior is what separates them from other places, I would always return to them.
* Vinyasa 1 & 2 I liked
* And could never do the “restorative” class again, it was too peaceful/chill for me🤪
Super duper yoga one I’m grateful for u guys, keep flourishing and nourishing the downtown of San Diego!

The perfect neighborhood yoga studio. Yoga One really stands out because of its inclusive vibe. I love that the students and teachers are always *real* people, not just perfectly chiseled bodies in matched sets. It's welcoming for everyone — from seniors, to pregnant people, complete beginners or advanced yogis. The instructors know their stuff and radiate positivity, and it’s a place where everyone can feel comfortable and included.

I take the online classes with Missy and it’s been incredible! I’ve watched tons of teachers on YouTube but being in an actual class had a big impact on me, I just love it. Her teaching style is perfect, the tranquility and peace that comes through is absolutely amazing, she transitions beautifully between quiet somber moments to lighthearted fun so it’s just perfect for me! Try it out you won’t be disappointed!

The husband and wife owners and teachers at Yoga One set a bad example of leading their classes like they are trying to create their classes into "Yoga Comedy Central" with non stop cracking jokes; which is really not funny in what is supposed to be a yoga class, and it is not yoga.

Yoga One has always been a fantastic yoga studio in downtown San Diego. But since Covid-19 and the shutdown, Yoga One has been a shining light in all this darkness. The owners, Amy and Michael, have persevered through these difficult times by staying "open" via Zoom and also outside at Presidio Park. The yoga teachers are all excellent ... knowledgeable and professional and always ready to offer a smile and kind words. It is a top-notch, first-rate yoga studio for everyone - whether you have been doing yoga for years or are brand new to the practice, Yoga One is the place to go to.

Connecting with Yoga One has been one of the most unexpectedly amazing events of my life! In July 2020 I signed up for their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training without really any prior experience with them. I was interested in deepening my own personal practice and teaching virtually during COVID, and the dates/prices matched up with what I was looking for. Every day during the 2.5 week intensive training we met outside at a park and dove into the complexities of posture alignment, teaching methodologies, yogic philosophy, meditation, and so much more. I loved the community my cohort formed together and we were challenged and supported in equal measure. Amy & Michael, the owners and lead teacher trainers at Yoga One, are some of the kindest, most genuinely giving people I have ever met. They have so much knowledge to share and are always down to just chat about life. I'm now on my way to opening my own yoga business and am continuing my education with Yoga One's 300-hour training this March. I love the variety of their online classes as well and the different energy each teacher brings. From restorative yoga to vinyasa, I always feel like I'm learning something new and engaging both my mind and body during class. Plus as a woman, Black, and family-owned business, Yoga One is the type of welcoming, inclusive studio I want to support with my money!

Mara Harris is a very knowledgeable teacher. I had an amazing practice with her during my short stay at SD. Her energy, fun style of teaching, and unique sequence of flow make her class truly stands out. SD is saturated with yoga studios, but I can say that Mara's class is really special and not to be missed by no means.

Yoga One is a sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle of downtown. This studio is welcoming and embodies the "come as you are" attitude. The teachers are knowledgable and very friendly. They offer non-competitive classes and encourage non-judgement. Each class offers it's own unique practice and is often exactly what I need.

I've spent 1.5 years with Yoga One and am very blessed to be a part of this yoga family. Every teacher is unique and wonderfully talented in their own way and I love the variety of styles provided. Everyone here has a healthy and realistic attitude towards their practice and their teaching and some truly live and embrace the lifestyle which is passed along to the students. Love you guys!
