Great space and great teachers. I've been attending Iva's Yin class for well over a year. It is different from their typical vinyasa classes (still fantastic classes) and is a great relaxing reset for my week.

Disappointing experience — be cautious before signing up

I’m writing this review to share my very disappointing experience with this yoga studio. I paid for a full month in advance, yet due to what they called a “system issue,” my payment was never properly recorded. As a result, almost every time I attended class, the teacher would publicly ask me if I intended to pay that day. This was extremely embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially in front of a room full of people.
The situation escalated when I was finally asked to leave the class altogether, despite having already paid. I felt humiliated and unwelcome.

I have since requested a refund, as I did not receive the service I paid for, and I would caution anyone considering joining this studio to be very careful. Make sure you have clear proof of your payment, and be prepared for the possibility of poor communication and lack of professionalism.
It’s unfortunate, because I was genuinely looking forward to practicing yoga here. I hope the studio takes this feedback seriously, improves their system, and treats future customers with more respect.
I am adding a few more because you didn't answer my email and reply me here:
I must clarify the serious inaccuracies and shift of responsibility in your response on Google:

1. System error and duplicate accounts:
I have only ever used one name and one email address to register and pay for my membership. The fact that your system somehow created two accounts under my details is entirely a fault on your side, not mine. As a paying customer, it is not my responsibility to audit your internal system failures. Furthermore, your system’s failure to automatically process the renewal into the new month without notice highlights another serious issue.

2. Known system issue, but no proactive resolution:
You acknowledge that there was a “system issue,” yet despite this, I was publicly questioned and even removed from class, rather than your team taking basic steps to verify or resolve the matter beforehand. If you were aware of a system problem, it is unreasonable and unprofessional not to ensure it was fully rectified before continuing to involve and embarrass paying customers.

3. Communication attempts:
You mentioned calling and emailing me on 7/08. I received no emails (despite you clearly having my correct email for payment receipts) and no missed calls or voicemails. On the contrary, I made several attempts to reach your studio myself but did not get through until I was humiliatingly removed from class.

Because of these compounded failures — your system error, lack of proactive checks despite knowing about the issue, and severe mishandling that led to my public embarrassment — I again request a full refund of my membership payment of $80.

Please confirm in writing that this will be processed within 5 business days. If not, I will have no choice but to pursue formal remedies, including filing a dispute with my payment provider, reporting this matter to consumer protection agencies, and considering a claim for damages due to the emotional distress and reputation harm caused by your handling of this situation.

I would much prefer an amicable resolution. Please confirm your next steps.

I came to a Sunday yoga class with Travis and loved it.
This was by far my favorite yoga studio of all time. The instructor was so calm and for the first time ever it felt like a yoga instructor was really helping to explain what "good form" was. Also I loved options since I am not super flexible so was nice to do things at my level and be at peace and feel like I was getting a good stretch in.

I was totally new to yoga and decided to give this place a try. Turns out it was the best decision! I fell in love with yoga, especially ashtanga vinyasa, and enrolled in their monthly unlimited plan. I attended 3-4 times a week for a span of 3 months in the fall of 2024. I definitely would have stayed for longer but I ended up moving out of the Bay area and will now be missing out on the great classes.

The instructors were all fabulous and super encouraging for a newbie like myself. I found that many of the instructors pushed me to my limits (in the best way possible). By the second week, my favorite instructor was helping me with my headstands!

Overall, I felt this studio had a well-priced membership plan and a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend :)

Yin with IVA was soooo dang good. Felt a huge difference in my energy before and after class. Usually with meditation classes I feel sleepy/ calm after. I think I cleared a blockage in class bc after I felt so energized and happy even though we never sweat or raised the heart rate. Learned a lot in class too. Thanks Iva. I will definitely be back for another of her classes.

I would recommend taking a class at Yoga Sociale. I've taken Carly's Friday night Power Vinyasa Flow class several times and have increasingly found it to be very well rounded and typically the best hour of my day. The space is welcoming and clean. Carly gives a nice balanced practice with options for all levels.

A clean, spacious and welcoming space. The teachers are all unique and have their own style.
Parking is easy and they have free loaner mats if you forget yours. They have great new student specials so you can try out the different classes and see what works for you.

Great yoga studio with great classes.
All the classes are led by energetic and experienced teachers.
I recommend taking the traditional Hatha or Ashtanga yoga classes to level up your yoga routines!
The breathing exercises in the Hatha class have been helpful and I use them regularly in my day to day life after learning them!

The space is conveniently located downtown and there is free parking behind the building or in the Lucky’s parking lot.

Beautiful studio with a variety of classes. I have had 2 knee surgeries that have caused me a lot of physical problems and I can safely say that these yoga classes have helped me feel so much better. My knees no longer hurt when I walk and my back is pain free! Also, these yoga classes not only vastly improve flexibility, but fitness as well. the instructors take care to show you how each pose can be tweaked to work out your muscles, and how each pose can be modified if it's too difficult. the studio itself is also pretty, with many indoor plants and tea that is offered after class. you can tell the teachers here are very passionate about yoga and want to make the students comfortable. plus, the owner, Laura, is a very nice woman who is very personable. 10/10 recommend. plus, they now have pilates which is a plus!

Living and working in Hayward, I'm so happy to have Yoga Sociale in the heart of downtown. I've enjoyed practicing yoga over the years with various instructors. What makes this studio special is the owner, Laura, whose vision is inclusive and attainable for all. She offers a space for all types, ages, styles, and preferences. Every instructor she's brought in is uniquely talented and extremely helpful. I don't miss a vinyasa flow with Maribelle! My quality of life and well being have greatly improved frequenting this local gem.

I am so happy to find out this yoga studio in Hayward. I have tried most of the evening classes and love all of them, I learn a lot and the teachers are here really engaging and give you a little push/help to challenge yourself. A lot of personalized adjustments that’s not very common nowadays.
And everyone is so nice, very welcoming space. Thank you Laura for creating this space and all the wonderful teachers here.

Yoga Sociale is such an oasis in downtown Hayward! It’s just what this downtown needed! They offer a wide variety of yoga classes and always ending with a hot cup of tea and engaging conversation! I have taken the ashtanga vinyasa, energetic flow and the power flow classes, all which challenge me. The teachers offer modifications for beginners and for advanced students. Laura, who teaches the ashtanga classes and energetic flows had her training in India and really brings the yoga philosophy to life during the practice. I really appreciate how she gently persuades you to try next levels of the poses. I have learned so much about my limits and how to be humble with myself in this studio. Iva is another amazing teacher. Her power flow class was a fast flow that offered peak poses and focused on my core. She constantly reminded the class of the breath and alignment and she guided us through the transitions with ease. The studio is open and airy, thoughtfully and aesthetically designed. I look forward to practicing more here!
