To future members: YogaSix is a beautiful studio when life is stable and a put bill doesn't paralyze you from following protocol. But if you ever experience a true crisis—particularly one involving physical or mental trauma—be aware that their billing department operates with the same rigidity and insensitivity you might expect from a collection agency, not a wellness center.
I attended YogaSix for almost six months and truly loved the studio—the instructors, the classes, and the atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experience took a difficult turn after I suffered a severe mental health crisis following a traumatic event. I was viciously attacked by a pit bull at my workplace and then terminated just five days later. The combination of physical trauma, legal stress, and emotional collapse left me unable to leave my home or handle basic communication for a period of time.
I take full accountability for not following the proper cancellation procedures during that time. However, what has been disheartening is how YogaSix’s billing department handled the situation. I was repeatedly contacted and pressured for payment.
The amount in question is $268, which I am willing to pay, but the lack of compassion and humanity shown throughout this process is deeply disappointing especially coming from a space that promotes mindfulness, empathy, and wellness. A yoga studio should stand for more than policies and payment deadlines; it should reflect the values it teaches on the mat.

YogaSix Point Loma is worth the drive from Carlsbad twice a week or more. Fiona, Andrea and the team are warm, friendly and welcoming and they listen to member requests and tailor their wide ranging schedule of classes to their diverse clientele. It’s Joel Richey’s outdoor classes on the lawn that have kept me coming every week since the pandemic. Tristan’s outdoor sound baths during the summer are epic.

Even if it’s your first time walking in, they have a special way of making you feel welcomed and as though you’re part of the family. The staff is always so friendly and kind, teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful, and the space is beautiful. If you haven’t been, I more than recommend taking a class - you won’t be disappointed.

Hope you have no trouble finding this place bc they won’t let you in after 3 min late and won’t refund class. Remarkable they get any new patrons with this policy. Val, the young brunette girl at the front desk was arrogant and righteous… wondering if it’s the same person another reviewer commented about below. Would recommend any of the thousand other studios in San Diego if you want a kind yoga experience. This isn’t it.

I really like this studio. But it is confusing to find so I think it would be helpful to email instructions to new guest as you can see many struggle finding it.
I arrived literally one minute late and the doors were locked with no one at the front desk. I understand locking the doors and not allowing people in 5 minutes past but one minute is a little ridiculous. I am unsure if they are short staffed and had the front desk accommodating the classes but was pretty upset to waste my time traveling all the way here just to turn around and go home for being here literally 1 minute past.
My suggestion would be to add a 2 minute grace period and put a sign on the door saying not to even wait because you won’t be let in. It’s now 915 and I still haven’t been able to get in or talk to anyone so I will be leaving

Tried a Y6 Hot class here the other week from ClassPass. I was obsessed. I've done some yoga before but this was my first hot class and I left feeling so rejuvenated and calm. Definitely a good workout, the class is basically a faster Vinyasa flow that starts with some slower stretching and ends the same. I didn't feel judged or pressured if I couldn't do any of the harder poses and the instructor always started poses at the more beginner level than gave modifications for people that are more experienced. The girls at the front desk were friendly and kindly let me know where everything was. At this point I'm waiting for my class pass free trial to expire so I can come in again and get a membership. Honestly one of my favorite workouts ever.
The studio gets very hot which I loved, but it wasn't too crowded and I had room to move around without someone sweating on me. I would say the class had around 20 people or so. Lots of parking in Liberty Station as well and next to a TJs which is great for grabbing a coconut water after. A little hard for me to find (it's on the opposite side of the parking area), so just arrive early to walk around and find where it is. Will be returning!!!

This has been a very convenient and relaxing studio. The facilities are very well kept. The teachers are really nice. The app is super easy to use. I like that they have a lot of class times because my schedule is crazy. Sometimes the hot yoga room gets too hot for my personal taste. However they give u cool eucalyptus towels at the end of class which is very fancy. It’s a great chain yoga studio with lovely facilities. I live across the street so it is perfect for me.

YogaSix Point Loma is hands down the best! I’ve been coming here for years now. Tristan’s classes are incredible—he has a way of resetting both your mind and body while guiding you to safely push your limits. He also offers great modifications for any physical restrictions, which I really appreciate. Sandra brings such a fun and uplifting energy to her classes—she’s my top pick whenever I need a mood boost! And if you’re looking for a serious challenge, Andrea’s class is perfect for breaking a sweat and pushing your boundaries.
The new management, ownership, and staff have been nothing short of amazing—so welcoming, helpful, and genuinely invested in their members happiness. I originally started with ClassPass, but Fiona always keeps me informed about promotions, and their loyalty to their members made it an easy decision to fully commit to this studio.
I truly can’t recommend YogaSix Point Loma enough! I’ve been coming here since recovering from two ACL tears and a back surgery, and it’s been an integral part of my journey. If you’re looking for a studio that offers expert instruction, an incredible community, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is it!

Yoga 6 has changed my life in the nearly two years since I joined. My back was a mess before. Still is but pain is so much more manageable and decreased to a great extent. Participated on 200 classes last year. Dropped alcohol, processed foods, artificial sugar, lite carbs, daily fasting; all inspired by Yoga. Lost 26 pounds. Feel and look so much better. Golf game has improved. That’s important. So no exaggeration to say that Yoga Six literally saved my life. Don’t know what I would do without it.
Great staff and friendly clientele. Large clean studios. Clean locker rooms. Men’s locker room has three showers and plenty of locker space. Thank you to all Yoga Six staff/instructors for the support and inspiration.

I had a really frustrating experience at YogaSix, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. I arrived for my very first class about 5 minutes early, but the whole process was confusing from the start. The back entrance had a sign directing me to the front, but the Google Maps location put YogaSix on the side of the building, making it tricky to navigate if you're not familiar with the Liberty Station area.
I eventually found the right entrance at 7:33pm (class started at 7:30), only to find the door locked. I knocked, tried opening the door, and called the studio — no answer. I also texted the number they said would give a quicker response, but still no help. Finally, at 7:36pm, someone from a previous class left, so I was able to get inside.
There was still no front desk help. When the front desk woman finally appeared, she rolled her eyes at me before I even had a chance to explain. I asked if I could still join the class (by this time I was 10 minutes late), and she continued to be rude, claiming the door was closed at 7:35 (which doesn’t line up with when I was there). Her dismissive attitude and lack of support made for a completely unwelcoming experience.
I’m really disappointed with how this was handled, and I won’t be coming back.
Customer service is not that hard! I understand not letting members in past a certain amount of time, but the attitude of the young brunette woman completely turned me off of all YogaSix studios.
Overall, the vibe was arrogant. They are very unwelcoming to newcomers.

Showed up for a class today for the first time I had some trouble finding the location as Google maps showed the entry on the side of the complex and when I arrived at this door there was a sign that said go to the front entrance.
I therefore took some time to find the front entrance which was not described in any messaging or notifications and I arrived 1 minute late to find the door was locked.
I tried calling the number and texting as I was completely unaware what was going on, even further confused by the sign that states come on in we’re open.
It wasn’t until I read the reviews of this location that I realized the policy to lock the door right at class start time.
Still haven’t heard back from the location well after the class I scheduled was completed.
Pretty upset with this experience which is not intuitive and clear to new joiners and will be looking to switch over to another location.

I really love this studio. I started hot yoga as a guest and made the decision to join. Everyone who works there is pleasant. Each class instructor offers their own amazing experience to us. I’m amazingly heated and refreshed each time I take a class.

I have been practicing at Y6 Point Loma for quite sometime now. This studio welcomed me, and opened it's arms to me when I first moved to San Diego 6 years ago. I saw a beautiful shift in myself being part of this community. I felt the love from the moment I walked through the studio door, I felt noticed, and very much appreciated. The teachers are thoughtful and absolutely incredible! Andrea, the studio manager is so authentic, caring, and has such a beautiful spirit! There is never a dull moment at this studio, it's full of smiles, laughter, peace, and gratitude. However, it is a very sacred space as well and it is treated with much respect. The studio's attention to detail in regards to cleanliness is impeccable, plus it's a gift to you senses. From the fresh scent in hallway, and the women's locker room amenities, to the eucalyptus towels at the end of class that is offered to all. It's seriously the best! I'm a huge fan! I love my Y6 Point Loma!

I tried out this yoga studio through classpass and really enjoyed my time here. The style of the class I did was a vinyasa flow, heated, and went through 3 sequences. If you are familiar with Core Power it is similar to that where the instructor speaks through most of the class, little guidance, no mirrors, it's dark and there is heat. I loved this studio because it felt homey and felt like there was a community. The instructor was great and everyone was friendly.

I just wanted to share my bad experience in a hot yoga class last night at the Point Loma location with an instructor named, Amanda Lowery that really didn't sit well with me. I attend yoga class for a mental, physical, and creative release and instead I left the class feeling horrible and thinking that I no longer want to practice at any Yoga6 anymore after attending on and off for the last 3-5 years. I've been doing yoga for 10 years and I've never felt as horrible as Amanda has made me feel last night.I honestly was stunned and did not know how to respond.
Long story short, I was told by Amanda to stop doing advance transitions in an all levels hot yoga class because it was confusing for other members in class and furthermore she said other instructors might feel the same way and I should go in the corner or the back of the room if I wanted to do so. I was shocked. I've always been told this is our yoga practice and to listen to your body and make it your own yoga practice on the mat. While I didn't steer away from the sequence, I added a variation to challenge myself ( both body and mind). People do all sorts of different variations and handstands throughout class and yet I am singled out? Why should I worry about other patrons yoga practice when I'm focusing on my own practice and my intention ? I do not go to yoga to worry about anyone else's practice but my own. I am usually only able to attend the class times that hot yoga falls in and since I know the sequence by heart, I challenge my practice by adding more because how else do you grow in your practice if you stay the same?
It's a very hard decision for me to cancel my membership as I do know there are some really great instructors there but the fact that Amanda told me ," other instructors feel the same", makes me feel like my yoga practice is no longer welcome at Yoga6. All my favorite instructors have already left this studio ( janelle, Gabrielle, Jen).
And if she is a reflection of the studio, this is not the type of yoga studio I want to be a part of. Where she is concerned with the looks of her boot camp hot yoga class. If I wanted to stick to a strict sequence, I would've booked a bikram class .
If you are new to yoga or if you like to go for the fitness aspect , this is probably the spot to go to but as you get more in tune with your practice and get rid of the ego and find your true yoga practice, you will have to go somewhere else. I will be choosing to switch over to house of yogi instead. It's like night and day and an entirely different community that will truly hone your practice.

YogaSix Dunwoody, GA - I wish I had read the customer support issues sooner. I cancelled my membership verbally, via email, and via phone, and they continue to charge my account monthly, and keep adding late fees - insult to injury. I have called, texted, and emailed with the local studio and the billing department about this issue, and they have done nothing to resolve it. The billing department continues to email me and call me, sometimes multiple times per day. The charges are fraudulent and the contact is harassment. I've now reported them to the Better Business Bureau, and recommend others who have these problems do the same.

I was so excited to try out YogaSix, so I tried their trial membership. I was hoping to get to go at least twice before the trial was over to get a good idea of their classes. My first class I ended up being 3 mins late, due to traffic and my work. They wouldn't let me in and stated that it disturbs the class. I get it, but also find it to be an obnoxious policy. I finally ended up at a class the next week and people left early. So, you can't come late, but you can leave early. Anyways, I'm getting sidetracked. The main reason for a bad review, is nowhere on their website or in the email confirmation does it breakdown that they will continue charging your card after the trial. To my surprise, I was charged for their top package after my trial was over. When I reached out to YogaSix, they told me there was nothing they could do. It's their policy. I tried multiple people and got the same cold responses each time. This level of customer service is unacceptable to me. It's a shame too, I really wanted to start using YogaSix. They completely ruined my relationship with them .

I’ve been coming here on and off since they opened. I’ve always loved the studio (beautiful, very clean, organized/well-run) but they’ve really outdone themselves during covid. With the ever changing rules, they have continued to not only serve with a smile and are genuinely glad to see you, they’ve adjusted like champs, over and over. From the super-fun (and socially-distanced) outdoor classes to appropriately modified indoor classes (when possible). It’s amazing to see how well they’ve operated and they seem to do it effortlessly! Their tenacity, leadership and resilience is evident and appreciated. TKU!!

Unfortunately, my experience was quite a disappointment. My family and I were visiting from out of town and we researched and chose this studio over many others that appeared in our search. In short, the instructors and class formats were good however, the front desk staff (particularly the woman with the accent) was quite unwelcoming (as others have noted). It was beyond unexpected - especially for a studio of this caliber. No one welcomed us as new attendees, offered a tour, asked if we had any questions. It was just disappointing - yoga studios have the beautiful opportunity of touching many lives through intentional kindness. It was a bummer this one failed so terribly. I can only hope this review will prevent it from happening to someone else in the future.

Pro: Welcoming and kind yoga teachers. Beautiful studio rooms, soft floors, soft lighting and heated rooms depending on the class. Lots of variety in classes and instructors. Atmosphere is relaxing and inviting and I always feel great after any class. I appreciate the 15% military discount. I am a novice in the yoga world and I am hooked after a month of taking different classes. I love all the ones I have taken, from the intense, sweat inducing power yoga, to the 6-8 laying down poses of restorative yoga on Sunday evenings. My biggest challenge is when instructors speak instructions outloud and don't demonstrate.
Con: 1 time attendance is $30, the best value is unlimited classes at just under $150. Fine for locals to do a membership, but I have a lot of out of town guests. I would love to show them my new yoga studio (most have never had a yoga studio experience), but it's too expensive to bring a guest for $30. Understand you want to encourage membership but please offer a guest pass for members to bring a monthly out of town guest.

I agree with some of the comments regarding this studio being unwelcoming. There have been a few very nice workers and some quite awful. I enjoyed Sophia’s class - she makes you feel welcome. Jen was a great instructor as well. I disliked Janell’s class. She was not the best teacher and she was actually unwelcoming. Another individual who attended Janell’s class noticed as well and made a comment to someone else - so it wasn’t just me. Most yoga studios, including several smaller studios around San Diego and also Core Power, have exceptional customer service and a welcoming environment. I’ve been disappointed with the service at the Yoga Six in Point Loma. It’s easy to be pleasant and smile and be welcoming. Improve your customer service. Welcome others. Be kind. The Point Loma seems to be missing these key qualities that truly make a studio.

Huge fan of the instructors and staff, and the approachability of each class--even if you are a first timer. Facilities are calming and beautiful, and location can't be beat!

I love it here! It has become my happy space.
My practice here has really been beneficial to my health & life quality. My back & body haven't felt this good in a long time.
FACILITIES: are really incredible! (kept immaculately clean)
From the lobby to the studios & even bathrooms . The space is beautifully designed & gives a sense of serenity & calm... it feels like your at a spa.
TEACHERS: are consistently great in every class! They are knowledgeable, fit, & in tune to the different needs in the class. They are very supportive and share their expertise with genuine grace & compassion. (Love all the classes but especially Peter's, Fallon's & Joel's!)
STAFF: the manager, front desk & support staff are the best! They are accesible, helpful, welcoming, and the perfect mix of professional with friendly. Always a smile & greeting when you come in & leave. They really do start my experience & practice.
I live downtown & have tried many really good studios walking distance from my home, but I love it so much, that I choose to come here instead.

I have only been going for a couple of months now but I love it! As I am a students, 8pm classes would be ideal for me while the last class are always around 6 or 7 pm. Overall, very nice experience and highly recommande the bootcamp class with Kristen.

My wife and I love the Yoga Six in Point Loma! She has had a membership for over a year now and it's become of the greatest investments we've made. We're healthier & happier and more productive & connected. I love the range of classes that are offered and the Yoga Six app helps me stay up on the all different times throughout the day. Boot camp, hot yoga and power yoga have been the main classes I attend. The staff is incredibly helpful, experienced and they really care about people. Even though there are significant areas I could improve in, the instructors create a safe space for me to be confident in my strengths and weaknesses and provide helpful advice to both support and challenge my practice. It has become a special community for us and we are so much better because of it. We would HIGHLY recommend Yoga Six!

I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is so peaceful and pleasant. The staff is friendly, helpful and silly. The instructors are knowledgeable and pay special attention to any injuries a client may have. I had huge neck spasms from work stress and they have helped me significantly reduce these.
I highly recommend all classes, but Hot Yoga is my favorite as you feel so "clean and detoxified" afterwards.
I cannot say enough great things about this place, go check it out and it will make a believer out of you as well ! :)

Yoga Six has been one of my favorite studios in San Diego for a few years now. I appreciate the beautiful design and architecture of the space, it is truly so helpful to get my zen on when in this clean, calm environment. Personally I try to mix it up with hot yoga, vinyasa, flow with a boot camp in the mix occasionally - most instructors bring a special energy that is authentic and encouraging. Typically there is a class starting every half hour! Awesome for after work.

I absolutely love this place! I started going here back in 2014. I can honestly say that everyone that works here, including the girls at the front desk, always make me feel like family. The teachers are amazing! Never taken a bad class. My favorite is the HOT class with Chaise. She is the coolest Kiwi I have ever met!

I visit the area from Chicago frequently and I always pack some yoga clothes so I can get in a class or two at Yoga Six Point Loma! This studio has such an incredibly warm and friendly vibe. I've tried a variety of classes and teachers and they've all be great. I particularly love Power Yoga - great workout! I just moved from Australia to OB and loved the studio the moment I walked in. The girls at the front desk were super welcoming and the classes I've taken were amazing! Chaise teaches a Hot Class that is aces. She is one of my favourite instructors even if she's a Kiwi!

This is an extremely classy and forward-thinking yoga studio! I took a Warm FIT60 Sculpt class here as part of a ClassPass trial. They offer various levels of heated classes in two elegantly decorated, state-of-the art practice rooms. Gina was a great teacher and really surprised me with her high energy and athleticism. She made the early morning class one to remember. Plenty of safe parking and nice scenery as it's Liberty Station. Will consider if I ever want to go full-yoga anytime soon.

Amen for Yoga Six!!! I have been out of practice for a few years after leaving coastal living and my favorite yoga studio to find only carpeted studios in my inland, Rancho Bernardo, area (totally not down with the carpet). Finally got down to it and discovered Yoga Six. LOVE the classes! Each instructor brings something wonderful to your practice. Love that there is awesome flow, support and intention for each class. Today I attended a class of the studio manager, Jeanette, and I was smiling from ear to ear during most of it as she just has an amazing vibe that makes you smile. I LOVE the studio as well. Very clean, super friendly, I feel like I'm at a spa except WAY better! Yoga Six is an experience during your day that will sincerely and simply make you a better person. That has been my experience at least! :) 5 stars is not enough. :)

Yoga Six Point Loma is amazing! The staff and instructors are friendly, helpful and really care about each student who walks in the door. The studio immaculate and more like a spa than a typical yoga studio. They have everything you need from towel & mat rentals, a variety of classes throughout the day, showers and amenities. Being located in the heart of Liberty Station, after class I love to grab a bite to eat or grab some groceries on my way home. Love the community at Y6 and the classes are awesome!

I had a fantastic encounter with Yoga Six today! It was my first time ever in a yoga class & I felt completely welcomed. The studio manager walked me my locker and class. It was incredibly welcoming. The teacher (Meghan) was such a pro yet very approachable. I had a great session and can't wait to come back for more! Plus:
It was very clean. Very peaceful. Very helpful staff!

When I entered this studio first as a student I was amazed. I was instantly relaxed and calmed. Here is a list of things I liked.
1. The lighting
2. The smell of the place
3. No shoes inside (you must leave your shoes at the entrance) its nice because it keeps the place keep
4. The Studio room was so calming and supportive. The studio floor room is padded.
5. The music in the class
The teachers and friendly staff. Also the rooms aren't jammed packed and they won't stack you all in there. I like how they treated me as a individual and not as a number.

This is one of the most beautiful studios I have ever been to in SD! I feel like I am in NYC or LA when I practice here. The staff is friendly, they have tons of class each day, great locker rooms with showers, etc. It is a hot studio but they have plenty of non-heated classes as well, which is great. New students get 6 free classes - totally worth it - and then a discount the first purchase. Love!!!
