This is the best yoga center I have ever known. All of the teachers are phenomenal. And despite all the alpha energy that comes with being in the center of Palo Alto, there is genuine softness and kindness going on! How can I be so sure? I've seen it all... I lived in NYC for decades and taught myself basics of yoga when I tall enough to reach "The Encyclopedia of Yoga" in my mom's bookcase. I'm now almost 50. Although I "fall of the wagon" sometimes, to say yoga is part of my life is an understatement. Namaste yogis and future yogis🙏

I had an awesome experience at Yoga Source. The studio is super clean, super chill, and has such good vibes. The instructors really know their stuff, and they’re super down-to-earth and patient, making sure everyone no matter their level feels comfortable. The classes were put together really well and left me feeling totally relaxed but also recharged. I loved the friendly atmosphere and how they made sure our form was on point. Definitely a spot I’m stoked to come back to!

Unpretentious serious yoga. They’ve got the best music out of all the workout places I’ve been to.

Visited once while I was visiting my boyfriend who started studying in the area recently. Lovely studio and I really enjoyed the class but I really think the ventilation needs to be better in the room. the air was not moving at all and felt super stale even with the ceiling fans on (they were lazily moving only) and it was a super hot day so 5 minutes in everyone was already dripping sweat. No reprieve though because ther just wasn’t enough air flow.

Out-of-towner and first-timer at the studio. It was an incredible class. Plus, both the staff and other practitioners went above and beyond to welcome me into the community.

Just hit my 50th YS class and am looking forward to the next 50. Unpretentious, nonjudgmental vibe, just chill people there to get a great workout without too many bells and whistles. The instructors live and breathe yoga and it shows, the classes are phenomenal. Pricing is super reasonable. Really recommend!

Great yoga place with good instructors.

Compared to the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, Vinyasa yoga class seems to be bit more focused on power and balance with lots of poses, than flexibility and staying in challenging poses for long.
This is not a negative thing though, just a fact to be aware of.

I loved that they keep room worm even for non-hot yoga styles, This is a completely expected thing for a good yoga place to do. Even though it feels harder working out in the worm room for beginnings, keep an open mind, and soon you'll feel how much warmness helps your body not to lose heat and be a bit more flexible.

This studio has been amazing and become my yoga home in Palo Alto. As a yoga instructor myself, I'm very particular about the classes I attend. The Monday evening class with Kristen and the Thursday evening class with Alejandro are both incredible and challenging power yoga classes that are exactly what I'm looking for. Also the studio has been very accommodating as a few charges were mixed up on my account.

The saloon's air conditioner doesn't work well. Even in a regular room temperature class, the room is very hot. A few of my friends and I stopped going there anymore. However, if you are looking for a good yoga class with great instructors and fresh air try Yoga of Los Altos in Los Altos.

This studio has been my home studio for 10+ years and has always fostered a wonderful community and brought phenomenal teachers. The class offerings are vast and the studio has continued to adapt and change with the crazy times. The online schedule has been reliably excellent and varied.

I'm a visitor to the area for a conference in half Moon Bay but was staying in San Jose area. I found this place because I was searching for yoga studios all over the area. I chose to go to this studio because the class time happen to fit my schedule...and you know, marketing works and the website looks cool. So for me, I did drop ins and it's $25/visit. Whew! High. But it was worth it. I consider myself not a regular yoga practicer but I am active, did take a yoga training at some point in my life and I thought the classes were great!!! I did the 11am core and strength as well as the 12pm vinyasa yoga class when I was there. It's not super super namaste om Shanti Shanti vibes but it does have some vibes which is what I like. If that makes any sense. 😂 Basically, it's not like super corporate feeling like corepower. Yea..I said it. Thank goodness. The core strength def was like a pilates workout, so gooddd. And then the 12pm vinyasa was SO GOOD! The classes are full, a good sign, the flow was so smooth, challenging and all the Yogi's in there are of all age ranges and I must say the skill level is higher then studios from where I'm from. So it motivated me to focus more and try hard. It was amazing.there are changing spaces and a toilet. There's plenty of free street parking and the facility is clean and doesn't smell. I will def come back when I return to the area. Thank you.

Definitely a lifestyle-changing studio for me -- there is quite the variety of classes all the way from a pumpin' high-intensity workout class to a calm restorative class. The instructors are spot on, and I especially love how they offer something different everyday. Much more than a yoga studio in my heart.

Good yoga practices, but good luck finding parking on peak times. I once circled nearly 30 minutes to go to class, and I couldn't join the class. This is surely not yogasource's fault, just Palo Alto city parking sucks at times.

I attended a partial hot pilates class. Partial because it was way too crowded to be safe or sanitary so I had to leave after 10 minutes. Should enforce a maximum number occupancy.

I love Bikram Yoga with Johnny and I always know what to expect. I like the fun music he plays before class and relaxing music he plays during the practice. He also gives a great foot massage during and after class.
The only minus about the Bikram class, not anything to do with the instructor, is that you're allowed to leave the room during a pose. I feel like if you need to leave the room it should be in savasana only. It's not fair to those who are trying to stay focused on the pose and have to deal with people walking around, opening and closing doors.
Otherwise, everything is great!!!

I went here for a "Bikram" class, and it was a pretty bad experience.

First of all, they played REALLY LOUD MUSIC. And it wasn't even yoga-friendly music. It was loud country and pop..

There is no music allowed in Bikram yoga. You're supposed to focus on the dialogue and the breath.

Also the teacher didn't stick with the Bikram dialogue. It didn't seem like he was an actual qualified Bikram teacher.

Unlike some of the other reviewers here, I don't mind adjustments, love adjustments, so I wasn't bothered by that.

The teacher, Johnny, also seemed like a pretty friendly person, who loves teaching and is popular with his students. So it's a bit tough leaving a not-so-good review here, but I wouldn't want any other experienced Bikram practitioner to come into this studio not knowing that this isn't a normal Bikram beginner class.

If you want to teach Bishnu-Gosh inspired yoga poses with music, then call it Hot Hatha.. But don't call it Bikram yoga. That's just flat out misleading!! There are some general principles in Bikram yoga that this studio is clearly not following.

My friend just had an awful experince. The staff is so rude that he insulted my friend for the only reason she tried to take class with her other friend's card. She didn't even know it was not permitted, but instead of kind explanation, the staff snapped his fingers in front of her face and said getting out. My friend was one of annual members for this studio, but now we are so disappointed by their attitude.

My coworker is quite advanced at Yoga and invited me on a Yoga date. I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive at first, but once we arrived I immediately felt relaxed. It's small but I liked that. Very intimate and calming. I'd definitely go again but this time to a beginners class as Power Yoga was a little fast paced (and hot) for me.

I am from our of town but have been practicing bikram for a while. Overall my experience was not great. I came in for a bikram class and it was not what I expected. I met the teacher before class, he check me in and seamed very nice. For me the problem came during class. One of the things I like about bikram is that there is no contact. Here at this studio, they do not adhere to that rule. The very first thing this teacher did was to come over to me (a new face) and run his fingers down my spine while I had me face on my shines. This was so unexpected for me that it messed up the whole class for me. I stopped and turn ed to say something but he had already walked away. This did not feel like any thing a teach should do. I did not receive any additional info about a pose or any constructive criticism on my posture from it. I instead felt very imposed on. I spent the rest of the class trying to work through it. later in the same class he came around again to each student and cracked their back (a nice thing if you are expecting it). This combined with his disregard for the bikram script left me very dissatisfied.

Jelly legs. That is what we had after taking Jonathan's Power class. Loved it.

Sardine packed, heated power class which was both physically and friendship challenging as we were asked to "press your palm firmly into the ground to twist further" as I gazed at my neighbor laughing that my hand would land on his sweaty pecs. Fun.

Dots on the ground help guide mat positions. Changing rooms are available in the back.

It really makes me sad to write this review as I hate to have to write a negative review on a yoga studio as they are usually peaceful places. I've been able to experience amazing studio's during my practice and this one has left me with the least zen feeling of them all. I bought two 1 month passes after they talked me into it and was only able to use it once due to the holidays. I drove over for a class and when I went to go pay after they pulled up my file and everything they just said "No AmEx" and then proceeded to ignore me. The way they turned it down just really touched me the wrong way. I had another card in the car but because of the way they handled it I decided to just call it quits with the studio and find another one.

A real Yoga Studio with true zen that believes in karma would have said, "Pay us back next time" or "you didn't even get to use your 1 month pass so don't worry this time" or something to that affect. Or politely said "I'm sorry that we don't accept AmEx and I wish that there was something that I could do but I don't have the authority to" or something like that. The way it was handled made it seem more like a large corporation would - not a place you'd want to join the community of.

I've never experienced a yoga studio that would so rudely turn someone down for a class after they just paid for several classes that they weren't able to redeem.
