I am new to the area and the studio and have found the space to be very welcoming. I'm not sure what one of the reviewers meant by gross/tomb. The spaces are appropriate for serious yoga classes. I stepped into one space as a class was finishing and the students had worked their bodies and yes you could tell but it is what you would expect from a real class. The other spaces, where I had my first 2 classes, was well lit and very appropriate for focusing on yoga. The teachers have been great and very knowledgeable. If you're wanting a real yoga experience, where the focus is on your body and not just the view from the window, this is a great place! And yes, they have a lovely retail space as well. I look forward to continuing my practice here.

Wow!
This is truly a quality yoga studio. Impartial, always willing to hear feedback, and has GREAT teachers, and GREAT schedules!!!

Yogaworks is such an amazing place. I have been attending for over 3 years now, and really have gone deep into my yoga practice within the last few months with some absolutely delightful and patient teachers. Me and my partner go almost every day, and it would be hard to live without it!

The front desk receptionists are always polite, nice, and professional. No problems whatsoever. I saw one bad review on here. The guy is a liar. The new studio is spacious, clean, vibrant and homey. The men's shower is the size of my bedroom!

I wish them much success and further development. :)

Yogaworks is dedicated to the essence of Yoga.

They work hard to practice the principles of Yoga by remaining an impartial place to practice.

Let me begin by saying this review isn't a critique of the teachers or staff, they are all delightful, but rather the YogaWorks' new and depressing studio space in the Marin Country Mart.

Not too long ago the YogaWorks moved from a really inviting space just a few feet away, to what is now cramped, dark and awful. Let me explain!

The new space has a bright and sunny retail area set up for selling you just about anything you'll need for your practice, but the two rooms where you'll be spending the bulk of your time are nothing short of sad!

There are two studios, and for the sake of simplicity, we call one the room on the right, and the other, the room on the left.

The room on the left is referred to by members as the tomb. It's a square windowless room with high walls, little to no ventilation, the permanent stench of body odor and dirt on every surface above your head. Even on its best day, the room is GROSS! Inside there are three tiny skylights that are a constant reminder of what a difference a little light would make. I've heard members describe the room as catastrophic, stuffy and depressing.

The room on the right is oddly shaped making it difficult at times to see the teacher, and finding space on the floor somewhat awkward. Windows were recently added to the space, and while it did help, the shape of the room is not conducive to yoga. The teacher is often hard to hear, and you always have the feeling because of the shape of the room, you're not looking the right direction.

I'm not sure what the solution is, or if any of these issues will bother you, but I would suggest taking a free class before considering a membership.
