Grace Huang Otto and Mike Nader are my favorite teachers in Los Angeles by far. All the staff here is really friendly and helpful and they have a great variety of classes!

I was happily practicing yoga at YogaWorks in West Hollywood when I moved to Studio City and needed to shift locations. Right away I encountered issues. Although the studios are not individually owned, when I moved my practice to Studio City my monthly rate was increased without warning. Additionally, I constantly feel this elitist, righteous vide from 'some' of the staff members which is in no way at the heart of yogic practice. I watched staff members argue their narrow knowledge of yoga and proper practice, and I've watched staff rudely handle member questions and membership rules. They treat it more like an aerobics studio, offering too much to too many people and, therefore, not truly providing a yogic community that is so needed in the area. Members who aren't familiar with yoga are offered a very unbalanced and ill-informed idea of what yoga is, and those that are familiar seem to try to take it for what it is because there's isn't a better option... sadly.

Membership plan is very shady - after a few months of mediocre and monotonous pre-natal yoga classes - I tried to cancel my membership over the phone (which was tricky to do with a newborn).. I was told I needed to send an email to a specific email address, which once sent, I never received a email back from.. a few weeks later I was billed for another cycle ($110) because I cancelled within 9 days of the new billing cycle - was told in my "membership contract" you need to give 10 days notice!!! even though I hadn't used the studio in months and I had a new baby, the receptionist was unsympathetic.. unbelievable..

The receptionist was abnoctious both on the phone and when I came in for the first time. Not very appropriate for a yoga place. What a turn off...

Hatha Yoga 1-2 [m] with Julia

Julia is solid and intuitive instructor. Her class has a moderate flow with smooth transitions. The texture of her voice is calming and her touch is gentle when giving corrections.

Good selection of classes and teachers. If you don't like a particular teachers style then try another, it's not one size fits all. Parking can be challenging but there is plenty of street parking and that little extra walk is a nice way to wind down both before and after class. Friendly staff and clean studio. There is free valet parking which can get busy but heh that's a luxury...

Great well maintained studio. I am always seeking #Iyengar as a safe and smart practice. There are a few classes here with great instructors.

Two stars feels generous. Anthony is the only reason I am giving it a 2nd star. All the other teachers I experienced were not great. Ashley Platz's cardio flow turned into a handstand workshop since apparently handstands are the number one New Years resolutions and a rant about going to her fear of falling workshop. Not to mention she constantly reminded you to be trying poses because its a level 2 class....yet some of us like myself have injuries that should refrain from certain poses. It would've been nice to have modifications offered or ask at the beginning of class if anyone was injured and be ready to accommodate them. If you are looking for a welcoming studio that encourages you to respect your body then this is not the place for you. A very snobby vibe from staff. Will not be returning.

Don't sign up for the automatic payment unless you are totally committed and will never have a problem going regularly. They make it impossible to cancel and are not helpful stating that is it difficult to stop payment without a month's notice. Give me a break - in this day and age, most anything can be canceled or returned ASAP. I never entered the place and they just keep withdrawing even though i called multiple times. Very poor business tactic, unprofessional and unethical.

I just started at this studio and I love the selection of classes, there are so many. Everyone here was very nice and helpful. I just wish it was located in a better shopping area, having to valet your car for yoga seems a bit too much.
