I have paid Yogaworks more than $1.000 dollars. I've been going to this studio for a year. One day, I had to cancel my membership (because I had to take cycling classes for my knees).
When I placed a cancelation request, it appears, that they've just charged me for the new month. Since it's been only a few days and I did not take any classes with during this billing month, I asked to refund me the money. At first, the receptionist told me that they absolutely can not do it. After listening to her lecture about the studio policy, she said that she will give the manager my message. Nobody called me. I called the studio back and the same girl told me that Tarzana Studio does not have a manager, she is on maternity leave. If I want to talk to a sub-manager, then I have to pay him hourly for his time, because my situation is not urgent. Once the manager will be in the studio, he will call me, but probably it will be at the beginning of the next week.
I called 2 more times and finally, I was able to talk to sub-manager, Ken. He told me that I have to remember the contract that I signed a year ago. Even if I did not take any classes within this billing cycle, they are not going to give me a refund.
I told the manager that I've been going to the studio for a year and I am a loyal customer. I am asking for a refund only because I did not take any classes this month and it's been only a few days. The manager replied that as a loyal customer I should read and understand their policy.
I have paid more than $1.000 dollars for the last year and this is how I was treated.
I understand the word "policy", but the manager's task is to resolve the situation and make the customers feel valued and willing to come back. I experienced the opposite effect. After talking to a manager, I never want to comeback to the studio.

A member since August, 2017, I attend Hatha Yoga Class 1-2 with Leticia. This facility is larger than others with 3 studios, plus a private Pilates room. While it is primarily yoga classes from beginners to experienced, there are also cardio classes like TRX. The parking is easy and plentiful; it is underground and the studio validates for 2.5 hours; plenty of time for yoga and shopping afterwards! They close early on Friday nights and weekends but if I were independently, wealthy, I would take more classes. The teachers are very caring and know what they are doing. The facility is well-kept and always clean. I highly recommend this studio.

This place is awesome, as you can see by the other reviews, except for one review from so long ago that hardly anyone who was there then is still there now. Management and staff are accessible and friendly, helpful and encouraging. A great variety of styles and schedules allows them to help guide you to the classes best suited to your abilities, goals, and comfort level. By far the nicest facility around - open and spacious, clean and comfortable - peaceful lounge area, pristine and fully stocked showers, three big studios with plenty of room for large classes. Awesome location.

How to beat highway Hell
My daily commute is In the News today :
The portion of the U.S. 101 between Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Vignes Street is the countryβs most jampacked roadway, according to an analysis by the Auto Insurance Center.
On this slice of highway hell, drivers creep along at an average pace of 17 mph. The 26-mile distance takes 91 minutes to travel at peak rush hour.
So how could I smile when I was barely creeping forward? Drive thru coffee helps but the real solution is midway between home and work at Yogaworks Tarzana and Hayleigh Zachary Yoga at 06:30 am. Vinyasa Flow moves a lot quicker than the 101 traffic and thatβs how I beat the highway hell. Thank you Hayleigh and Yogaworks , Namaste.

I've been going to this studio for about two years now. I'm very happy with my practice there and have done yoga on and off for years prior. They have crossfit / TRX / aerobic classes as well which are too downplayed as they are a major part of the studio and are great. I've lost weight and gotten stronger while being able to try a variety of classes at no additional cost than my monthly. After about two years now I've been very pleased.

More like YOGA-JERKS!!!!
This place is the WORST yoga studio I have ever been to! They are inflexible (no pun intended) and too stuffy! Yoga is supposed to be relaxing, stress-free and calming. Not so here!! First of all, the classes are such a jumble of styles, with the use of SO many props, it's hard to even know what the heck is going on. I've been doing yoga for over 10 years and I have never had such a bad experience. I joined this studio for the second time recently, thinking that maybe it would be better. Nope! Anytime, you have something you want to talk to management about (which I only had two things), they are completely fixed in their ways and not flexible with their "policies". I am a small business owner and if I treated my clients they way they do, I wouldn't have any. The yoga classes themselves, are ridiculous. They spend so much time with props, chairs and other things. I've taken other yoga classes at other studios where we didn't use any chairs or fancy props and they were great. And the fact that they don't use background music in most of their classes is not uplifting at all! It's depressing and boring!
The Yogaworks concept is great. Pay monthly if you want to work out a lot; a variety of styles; a locker room with showers and lockers. The reality is that they don't know a thing about customer service!!!!
The worst part about it is the personnel. They are snooty and inflexible. I HATE THIS PLACE!
