I’m fairly new to yoga, but Natalie was incredibly informative and offered great guidance throughout the session. The studio was spotless and had a calm, peaceful energy. I left feeling grounded and rejuvenated. Highly recommend both this studio and the instructor, Natalie.

Great studio, came there a few times. But today I was 2 minutes late and they locked the studio, didn’t let me in. I understand we need to be respectful of time and not interrupt the class. But 2 minutes? Seriously? The road was closed and now I lost the class I signed up for and wasted time coming there 😞

Great little studio. As someone just dropping by from out of town, Jay made me feel personally welcomed and I appreciated that he really acknowledged everyone in the space. He offers clear but nuanced instruction which helped me find some new sensations even in familiar poses, but not so much that it felt overly technical -- A perfect blend of presence and guidance.

By far my favorite yoga studio I’ve ever been to. I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years and have been to my fair share of studios. I’m so grateful to have found Yogazan and hope others get to experience the beautiful, nurturing teachers and classes they have to offer!

So glad I found Yogazan. I love Jay and all the teachers. They each have their own flavor and really care about your yoga journey. There is a free parking lot in the back of the little restaurant square. It really is no frills, no fads, just yoga which is all I need. I always leave feeling rejuvenated and aligned 🤩

I love this studio. I practiced there for years in its former space on Barrington with Jay and Diane, and followed them out to Ocean Park. It is a grounded, well run studio with terrific and kind teachers and students. No pretense. Space for everyone. By far my favorite studio in LA - and I’ve trained at a lot of them over the past 15 years.

I started attending Yogazan (previously known as Yogaraj) in 2019 during a challenging period in my life when I was seeking peace. This studio was exactly what I needed. It was my introduction to yoga, and it ignited a passion for the practice within me. The pandemic forced them to close for a bit, however, they returned even stronger at a new location.

While I don't practice yoga as frequently nowadays, the skills I learned at Yogazan remain invaluable. I still make time for classes at Yogazan whenever my schedule allows, and each time, I am greeted with the same sense of peace.

The teachers at Yogazan are all wonderful and experienced, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere of the studio. I highly recommend Yogazan to anyone seeking a supportive and enriching yoga experience.

I started going to yogazan in December of 2023 and I’ve been hooked ever since.
I love the Saturday 10:30 am 90-min class, their app is easy to use, and there is always parking.
Highly recommend if a more traditional yoga/community vibe is your work out.

Great teachers, affordable prices, peaceful space, easy parking! I'm a big fan of yogazan and I love the new location. Jay is an OG yoga teacher who has been teaching on the west side since I began practicing over 15 years ago at the old Power Yoga studio. All of the teachers here are wonderful and very experienced. I try to make it to Dianne's 10:30 Saturday class whenever I can. A guaranteed recharge to start off the weekend. They are very welcoming to new students. See you there!

I love this studio. The classes are usually smaller groups, which means you can get individual attention if you want it. Small groups also means there is zero stress about finding a spot on the floor if you're one of the later arrivals. Parking is easy. Mats and other equipment are free to use. The students and teachers are nice and welcoming. Before and after class it's totally normal to chat or stay quiet which I also appreciate.

I love this studio! The instructors here are really grounded and...great yoga teachers all around. Also I love that we can join online or in the studio. I've tried a few online yoga classes but none of them had the feel of a truly centering experience while expanding and stretching the body through the asanas. They all felt more like gym class. Not really what I wanted. But with Yogazan, whether it's been online or in person, it feels like a coming together of my full being--mind body and soul. Every time I go through class, I feel like I'm bringing myself into full alignment as I breath and push through my own physical limits.

After trying numerous yoga studios in L.A., I am now going to Yogazan full-time. I usually go to Jay Co's class, and would call it the best vinyasa class I've found in the westside.

I've been practicing yoga since the early 2000's and used to go to Santa Monica Power Yoga, followed by Yogaworks (both stopped doing live, in-studio classes). After the pandemic, I began hunting for a new studio and had a hard time finding one that matched the quality I'd grown accustomed to. I used to go to Jay's classes and am so glad I found his new studio. He is a highly experienced, skilled instructor whose classes feel challenging and mellow at the same time. He also sprinkles in bits of authentic wisdom that never feels preachy. Also, great flow music!

In terms of other perks: the studio is clean and comes equipped with quality props, there are a ton of parking options (including a lot), and the neighborhood is filled with great restaurants.

One of my favorite studios in west LA. Not pretentious at all, great community, and incredible teachers. I also enjoyed the variety of classes, mellow restoratives to power like vinyasas. I’m so happy to hear they’ve gotten a new studio after having to close the Barrington one due to COVID. Sad I’m no longer local to the studio but looking forward to popping by again one day!

I’ve attended many yoga studios in my 7 yrs of practicing and by far this one has been my favorite! As their motto says, just yoga, no frills! And it’s truly that. My favorite thing to do on Saturday morning is attend Jays 9am class, walk to the farmers market at Virginia Ave Park, then meet my best friend for brunch. Couldn’t think of a lovelier Saturday morning ❣️

So happy my favorite studio is back with their new spot! If you want a chill class with good flow, this is it. Each class has a different vibe so you can definitely find one that fits what you're looking for (unless you want an aggressive dance/workout class disguised as "yoga" in which case you are not in the right place) Also love the online option which I'll do when I'm too lazy to drive over :)

I love this yoga studio. I found them on line during the pandemic and stayed as the owner found a new studio space and went back to in-person. Love, love, love this studio! I've been to a lot of yoga studios and practicing yoga for many years-and I'm really picky about teachers and the feeling of a studio.

Yogazan hits all the right notes. WONDERFUL, well-trained, heart-centered teachers (have tried and enjoyed Jay, Diane, Phyllis, Kinjal, and Ally). Clean, light-filled studio space. Chill, nice community of fellow yogis. Easy booking. Lots of scheduling options. Reasonable pricing. Free parking in a lot. Excellent location (next door to cute cafes and around the corner from Cloverfield Park.)

So grateful the Ocean Park/Pico neighborhood finally has a fabulous yoga studio!

I've been going here since 2016 when it was at its old location on Barrington. The new studio on Ocean Park is equally lovely as are all the teachers who each bring a unique style to their practices. i initially came across this yoga studio from classpass, and tried it out simply because it was in my neighborhood. i quickly realized how much i loved the diverse instructors as well as the type of people who practice here.

everything i've learned from yoga i have learned from jay and his fellow yoga instructors. i was a complete beginner, but they never made me feel inadequate. their corrections are always gentle and effective, with plenty of alt suggestions. the studio has always felt like a soft hug, even in its new location. i liked that it didn't feel intimidating, that it's all age friendly, and that the price point is far more accessible than other franchises.

eventually i let my classpass membership go and joined yogazan studio full time. highly recommend classes from the owner, jay, as well as shirley and diane.

also, nothing messes up a vibe before yoga than stressing about parking. and this studio has free parking. !!

Finding the right yoga studio and teacher is very personal. Yogaraj is the only place that keeps me coming back after trials in many studios on the West side. Genuine welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Easy parking is a plus. Definitely try a class with Jay, a therapy for mind, body and soul. Jerome on Saturday is another treat. I went to the Cacao & Hummingbird Sound Journey here tonight and it was great!

Yogaraj is a perfect place to do a soundbath. It's spacious, intimate, affordable and is a quiet setting with resonant accoustics. The employees here are always friendly and helpful and I love how they let you borrow a mat, blanket or leg rest if you need one.

I've been to a bunch of soundbaths and Micah Sheiner and his wife run the best ones!

He can play more instruments than any other artist that conducts them and can sing in at least a couple languages.

His narration of the journey really sets the mood to help start and end it.

I can't recommend going to check one of his out highly enough!

My personal favorite are his cacao ceremonies because they really open up the heart.

Best studio on the westside hands down!!! Its been my home studio for almost 3 years. Parking is easy, people are unpretentious, and the drop in price is the lowest I’ve seen ($15). Every teacher I’ve had has been approachable, obliviously experienced and uniquely different from the last. And they don’t try and sell you on anything else when you are there. Mats are free, membership is not pressed and bottles of water/coconut water are available for cost (place a dollar in the can on the honor system😜). It’s a truly refreshing studio. Fav teachers of mine are Jerome, Jay, Brent and Liz. But I hear I need to try Bonnie, Diane, Angela and a few others as well.

It isn't just a studio, it is a community and a family. And the teachers at Yogaraj are amazing and each unique and very special in their teaching! I can't say enough about them. And the social aspect rounds it out - there are plenty of events to tie you in with the yoga community there and keep you coming back for more. If you haven't tried it, what's stopping you? Give it a try! The hardest part is showing up!
