Zen Dojos is fantastic. If you're considering enrolling your son or daughter, I'd highly recommend coming here. My son went to Karate at a different dojo that has no affiliation with Zen Dojos Martial Arts Academy, and it was a terrible first experience for him. I wont get into that experience as it doesn't matter here, but suffice it to say he went into that place excited, and left very scared and crying. He's 3 years old. We heard of Zen Dojos from a family member and we decided to check it out after that experience. Sensei Marco is undeniably the best person to help our son have a good experience with Martial Arts. He worked with him, and made time for him, met him where he was at, communicated what was they were going to be doing, had expectations of him and was respectful of his needs. He's simply the best. Martial arts is an incredible experience for young children! My 6 & 4 year old (boy and girl) kids love going. Sensei Marco surreptitiously injects wisdom through the backdoor of their minds. Respect, discipline, reflex, mindful attention to directions, confidence, integrity shine through, all while playing fun games, doing tough exercises, learning technical self-defense moves, and watching their peers fail, try again, and succeed. Marco is fantastic with kids, it's amazing to watch my kids' development accelerate in real-time! KYAI!

Both Paul and Marco Polo are really helpful people and good guys to boot. Not many of them left in life but my opinion might be a bit biased if using the right word because even though I haven't really
talked to Paul in the past 25 years or so I knew him from when he worked for United Studio's of Self Defense. Always treated me well as well as my family 👪 that also took classes at one point

Zen dojos is a great place to train, I started training in their krav maga 6 months ago and it's been an amazing experience. Its really boosted my confidence and it's given me something to look forward to during this pandemic, they offer online classes too so I didnt have to stop training during the shut down. Marco is a fantastic instructor, hes a great teacher and he's very involved, you can tell he really cares about his students.

Zen Dojos has been a blessing during this whole Covid-19 stay at home order. Everyday my kids have something to look forward to with their virtual classes. Not only that, but it feels like the perfect break in their day to help them wind down.

Not only does it give them something to do but Sensei Marco teaches the kids lessons in; self respect, the importance of family, and having a good time learning karate!

Zen Dojos is a great place to train for all ages. The instructors here have many years of experience.They are helpful, professional, personable and promote a safe learning environment. If you have little or no backround in martial arts, they have excellant begainer classes for youths and adults as well. I am a 55 year old average sized woman with no previous experience. They made me feel welcomed, and comfortable. I enrolled In their Krav Maga classes. I have learned so much in a short amount of time with just a few classes per week. My classmates are helpful and encouraging. Learning self defence is both empowering, and builds self esteem. I encourage women of all ages, shapes, and sizes to come in and learn from the very best. It's never too late in life to explore your full potential. Just come in and take a tour. That's what I did.

This is an amazing dojo with great instructors who help every student develop and grow their martial arts skills as well as general life skills. We moved here a little over a year ago and interviewed several dojos before deciding on Zen Dojos. My boys had been in martial arts for about 5 yrs in Northern California at a dojo that set the bar very high. We are thrilled to have found Zen Dojo to continue their training. We've been with Zen Dojo over a year now and my twin 10 year old boys love it, are learning a lot and are super motivated - borrowing with pride a quote from another Zen Dojo student: to black belt and beyond. Sensei Marco and Sensei Ian are top notch instructors. They also offer great summer camps and various fun events throughout the year.
