For a gym that charges $125 a month and a $300 cancellation fee within the first year, I expect basic cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms. Unfortunately, that’s consistently not the case here. Almost every time I go, the bathroom is dirty, smelly, or missing essentials like toilet paper or towels. I like to wash my hands after my workout, but half the time I end up air-drying my hands because there are no towels available.

It’s frustrating because bathroom maintenance is the only real upkeep this gym needs, yet it’s constantly neglected. I’ve mentioned numerous times this issue at the front desk, but nothing has changed. For the price, this level of hygiene and maintenance is completely unacceptable.

I also want to add the AC seems to never be on. Before I even begin my workout, I am already hot. On the positive note, the gym itself is clean and the machines are unique compared to other gyms.

The bathrooms suck, influencers with cameras are everywhere, the membership cost is very overpriced and the day passes are ridiculously expensive.

However, from a pure lifting perspective, this is genuinely the best and most equipped gym I’ve ever been in. They have everything whether it be a seal row or a pendulum squat, you’ll find it here. There is no other gym in the valley or even in Los Angeles that has full Arsenal equipment like this gym does plus it’s never packed due to how expensive the membership is. If you want a gym with amenities, this gym sucks. If you want a gym for pure lifting and nothing else, this gym is perfect for you. Still it’s only 4 stars because the bathrooms are genuinely so bad.

Fell off badly. Went in 2022 to their old location, met 3 big influencers, there were good vibes all around in the gym, and I had one of the best workouts ever. This new location although claiming to be bigger, feels the opposite, feels less open, had nice staff but very confused, and we’re mostly just teenagers who weren’t very helpful answering questions past the basic day pass process, and they would wonder off from the front talking to their gym friends, and I had to pay $60 for a day pass. It has great equipment but I genuinely just don’t get the hype behind it anymore, it’s not what it used to be. It’s just a mediocre gym now.

As an Australian visiting for the first time, I was curious about the hype surrounding Zoo Culture Gym. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations.

Cons:
• One-floor layout: The gym is limited to a single level, which restricts its capacity and overall vibe.
• Limited equipment and amenities: For such a renowned name, I expected more variety and better facilities. A big disappointment was that the octagon lighting was not working, so the aesthetic in our shots didn’t quite hit the mark.

• Price point: $60 for a one-day pass is excessive, especially when compared to other gyms like Crunch Fitness that offer more for far less.
• Videographer policy: We reached out to collaborate and promote the gym, yet the videographer was charged a full day pass—even though they didn’t use the equipment and were providing the gym free promotion. This felt odd and counterintuitive, but! Every gym has their policies and that’s fair enough.

• Staff behavior: The staff were loud and unprofessional during what seemed like an interaction with a regular or influencer. They seemed more focused on socialising than delivering customer service.
• Gym size: The space itself feels small and cramped for such a high-profile gym.

Pros:
• Essential equipment: It’s sufficient for a quick workout session.
• Convenient location: The gym is surrounded by various businesses, making it a practical stop for those in the area.
• Unisex bathrooms: A thoughtful touch for those who prefer this option.
• Ample parking: The large parking lot made finding a spot easy.

Would I return?
Unlikely. For all the hype surrounding this gym, it didn’t deliver on quality, service, or value. Attached are some shots taken from the day, but nothing that couldn’t be taken inside of a regular gym.

$125/month + $200 initial fee + $300 cancellation fee. Sounds like a delusion, right? This offer couldn’t compete in the market even if it tried.

The only reason it’s still standing is because of a dedicated fanboy army willing to pay any price just to get a glimpse of their favorite blogger, even if it’s from a distance. So, unless you’re part of that fan club, and not a sensible person, THIS GYM IS A JOKE

Before you read this review just know I’m a big fan of Bradley and followed him since 2016. I always wanted to go to Zoo Culture and honestly my experience was terrible. The gym isint as big as you think and there’s just one of every machine. My bigger issue was with the staff. The so called “manager” some guy with a beard who lifts there is a rude and aggressive guy and makes the people on guest pass feel unwelcomed. Sucks that a worker ruined our whole gym experience. If you’re in LA check out golds gym not this spot. Sorry Brad you definitely should get a new manager

Read Before You Go!!!

I’m 23, I model part-time, and I work out almost every day. Fitness isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s therapy and life. I’d heard about Zoo Culture from a few fitness influencers and thought it looked dope. So I decided to try it while I was in LA for a few weeks.

What I didn’t expect was to walk into a nightmare.

It started like any normal workout: I had my headphones in, hoodie on, focused. I wasn’t there for attention. I wasn’t even making eye contact with anyone. But I noticed him right away. Kambiz, one of those guys who doesn’t train so much as prowl. Watching girls more than weights. Eyeing them like they’re prey. You think maybe you’re imagining it until he makes sure you know you’re not.

He came up while I was in the middle of glute bridges. At first he didn’t even say hello. No offer to help. He stood there watching for way too long before leaning in and saying, “You’re really flexible, huh?” His tone wasn’t playful. It was creepy.

Then, without asking, he grabbed my hips. I jumped and told him immediately, “Don’t touch me.”

He didn’t back off or apologize. He laughed and looked me dead in the eye and said, “Don’t be shy. I can show you moves that’ll really open you up.”

That moment will haunt me for a long time. Because I realized this wasn’t some awkward guy trying to flirt. This was a man who enjoyed making me women feel uncomfortable.

I left my workout half finished, hands shaking as I packed up my stuff. I reported him to the front desk, barely able to get the words out, and the staff just gave me a lazy shrug and said, “Yeah, that’s just Kambiz.”

That’s just Kambiz?
So this is normal? This is allowed? Encouraged?!!

I sat in my car crying. Not because I’m fragile, but because I felt violated and unheard. I felt like I’d walked into a trap instead of a gym. I kept thinking—what if I hadn’t spoken up? What if I’d been younger, or more insecure, or afraid to say no?

No woman should have to endure that. Ever. Period.

If you’re a woman thinking of working out here please be careful. There are better, safer gyms in LA. Gyms that don’t enable predators. Gyms that won’t make you feel like a piece of meat while you’re just trying to do hip thrusts.

I found his IG and to Kambiz Nick Atashin: You’re not smooth. You’re a predator with a name tag.

I will never set foot in that place again.

Zoo Culture Gym is not just a gym — it’s a true temple of bodybuilding and personal growth.

Created with the unique vision of combining intensity, discipline, and lifestyle, it stands as a sanctuary for those who take training seriously and live fitness as a philosophy.

Every detail, from the electrifying atmosphere to the top-tier equipment, is designed to inspire dedication and real results.

Training at Zoo Culture means feeling the energy of people who truly want to win — who understand that the body is a reflection of a focused mind.

More than a gym, it’s a brotherhood of athletes and modern-day warriors.

Congratulations to the team and to founder Bradley Martyn for building a space where limits are challenged every single day.

Once you step into Zoo, you feel it: this isn’t just about lifting weights — it’s about lifting yourself.

4.22.25 Absolute mess. I can’t believe I tried to be nice in this review I left last month. The owner/ manager still hasn’t taken care of the card being charged. Ive called multiple times and spoken to the manager. Nothing has been done. I’ve had to resort to working with my bank to get my money back and have needed to cancel my card for the unauthorized charges. The only professionalism through this whole thing was the front desk people who understood my frustration and took my information down. Really disgusted by this gym/ manager/ owner. I feel cheated and stolen from. I wouldn’t feel that way if something was done about it, but it appears they don’t care and are very happy to take your money and hope you don’t notice.

March review: Gym was good. No wait times clean gym. People are friendly and for the most part are there to workout aside from the influencers. 3 stars because my experience with cancelling monthly payments has been a headache. I don’t go there anymore and I keep getting charged monthly through their online system. I’ve been told only the owner can resolve and was told by the manager the owner “will eventually get to it.” Really frustrated that this hasn’t been resolved after three months.

This place was sick. Definitely one of the best gyms in the valley. Snagged a day pass for $60. Bradley sold me a bottle of testosterone cypionate for $100 & wrapped it up in a zoo culture tank so no one would see it. Best price in LA hands down.

Only reason I'm giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is bc of my strange bathroom experience. Every time I went in there to wash my hands, I kept hearing the phrase "Can you pull my pants down." I didn't think anyone else was in there atm, but a couple min later I saw some dude who had to be 5'5 on a good day, walk out in a happy dad hat clutching his ass cheek.

Beware of Unprofessional Trainer Kambiz Nick Atashin at Zoo Culture

I chose Zoo Culture for its quiet environment and decided to invest in a trainer, Kambiz Nick Atashin. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. I paid him $650 upfront through Zelle, but after 10 months of unfulfilled promises for a refund, he called me “two-faced” just because I wrote a review about him, threatening that I’d regret it. He doesn’t understand that my review reflects his behavior toward me. I’ve been quiet for almost 10 months and even told him I would take down the review if he refunded me. I never promised I wouldn’t write a review, only that I wouldn’t take legal action, which I haven’t—out of respect for his mother, Googoosh, who is my idol. It breaks my heart to have to do this, but he left me no choice, as he’s now asking me to take legal action, while all this time he was asking us not to.

Kambiz portrays himself as very professional on social media and TV, but this is far from the truth. I admired him and his mother since I was a kid. I wish I had known about her interview with Homa Sarshar, where she revealed that he’s always expected others to take care of his responsibilities and caused her significant distress, saying, “He borders me a lot. He bothered himself, and he even borders his kids.” Had I known this, I might have made a different decision. Despite telling me he no longer trains at the Zoo Culture location where I signed up with him, he’s apparently still active at another location.

I also wish Zoo Culture would take more responsibility in vetting their trainers and ensuring they adhere to professional standards. We choose Zoo Culture because we trust the facility, and it’s disheartening that they don’t have better customer service to handle these situations. Nobody called or followed up with us except for Mr. Andrea and Zoo Culture, which is very disappointing. There are trainers everywhere, but we come here expecting a higher level of accountability.

If you hire a trainer, pay with a debit or credit card so you can easily get a refund if needed. I regret not writing this review sooner—who knows how many others have been in the same situation? I’m active on social media, and I’m glad I can reach out to people to let them know what he’s capable of, so no one else has to go through this.

Had a great workout! Staff was super friendly, equipment was clean and top notch. I asked about a military discount and they offer one of the highest of any place I've been to. Most places offer 10% but this was a bit higher. Appreciate it!
Most of all, I loved the vibe! I am not a regular gym goer (I try to be) but travel makes it difficult. When I started working out (leg day) I felt I pushed myself more than I normally do just because of the environment! Didn't get to meet the man himself but maybe one day I'll be back that way again and I will definitely plan a workout or two there. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, our gym's quality has significantly declined under Brad's management. Basic amenities like soap and paper towels are hit or miss, the gym is uncomfortably hot due to AC restrictions, and the recent early closing time inconveniences many working members. Despite efforts from the night group to address these issues, including proposing a petition to extend hours, concerns have been ignored. Equipment maintenance is lacking, with broken machines and a leaky roof persisting, while the bathroom remains poorly stocked. For the hefty annual fee we pay, these conditions are unacceptable. Throwing away the trust of your loyal supporters to save $20 of employee pay is a sad reality.

Then he took his hand off and then I took mine off. He unlocked the door, and he opened it, and let me remind you he’s shirtless with short shorts, so after he opened it he said “mind if I join you?” In a quiet shy voice. I said “yes baby”, so he came in, I held him by the hips from the back and we started dancing. I left with rawgear contract.

You will be successful Brad! As a genuine person, who puts in the work, shows everyone else love, there is no failure. Looking forward to the grand opening, more content, and to continue watching your journey. Blessings.

One of the worst gyms I've ever been to. Completely overpriced with outdated equipment. Hardly any cardio equipment. Very small. This gym is more of a club for tiktokers than an actual gym.

Great gym, got to meet Brad. He is down to earth and as genuine as you see on the videos. Awesome experience and good arsenal and other training equipment. The guy with curly hair that signed me up for the week was polite, helpful and recommended some local spots. Powerlifters, bodybuilders or influencers this gym will keep you entertained.

$60 at the door for a day pass, broken cardio machines, and barbell clips kept locked up like the gym members are a bunch of rich animals. Maybe they are. You can get an equivalent gym for 5x cheaper in LA. Tourist trap.

Great gym! It's not that big, but if you go outside of peak hours you shouldn't have to wait for equipment. There is limited parking space, so if it's busy you'll have to park in the streets

Love the gym atmosphere and a great selection of equipment. Only two drawbacks that causes it to lose a star is that the parking is limited and that while the selection of equipment is great there's only 1 piece of each type which can mean you end up waiting if there's something you really want to use. Definitely recommend this gym though!

Good one stop place to get a pump and some great deals on drugs! Highly recommend stopping by the only issue is there seams to have lots a fake weights whenever the owner is around but that’s it.
