Careful when you cancel your membership. They’ll add another account to your name and then “close” that account, meanwhile you will continue to get charged monthly. Spent over an hour on the phone waiting to talk to a living person. Fraudulent company, beware.

I work hard so after work I'd like to soak in a jacuzzi. I specifically got this membership for the jacuzzi. No where is it posted you can't use the jets during a swim class. Classes are from 4pm to 8pm.

So if you work 7am to 3pm and it takes roughly an hour to get ready for work and an hour to get from work and ready for the gym, I have a one hour window from 5am to 6am to use the jacuzzi and a two hour window from 8pm to 10pm.

A jacuzzi without jets on is a hot bath and I can do that at home. It would've been real nice to know I couldn't use the actually use the jacuzzi the way it's meant to be used without having to make time for it, because I would not have gotten this membership.

Oh and the machines are hotel quality.

In regards to the post underneath, These guys working the desk today were professional and kick ass. They did not take any of the disrespect that a member who was clearly having a melt down or was possibly on something bad because of her behavior. I am going to miss this place when it closes but I will not miss these entitled people who think they can treat people this way. Good job guys please keep this gym going like you have.

They’ve really improved facility appearance and staff over the past few months. Besides the (what seems like) few homeless using the locker rooms - I wish this place was not closing. This side of the COS only has Vasa and that place is a nightmare. KEEP THIS OPEN!

The gym is finally clean. The gym equipment is fixed. The condition of the facility deserves 5 stars. Everything is nearly perfect other than the hours. The hours absolutely suck. I know so many people would cancel their vasa membership and go back to 24 if it was actually 24 hours again. I know so many military people that go to vasa by default because the hours are better than 24s but they even say they would go back to 24 if the hours were normal again!! I used to go to 24 and would go back if it was worth it. What makes it worth it is it being 24 hours. Its name is 24 hour fitness not “5-10fitness”. And 8-8 on the weekends? Whoever's idea that was needs to get fired. My work has a discount for going to 24 but once my hr department says what the new hours are they automatically say no because it doesnt make sense to even sign up when vasa is cheaper with better hours. Fix the hours and post it being 24 hours again all over social media and you guys will get hundreds of members back(including myself). Long story short me and a bunch of people I know would cancel their vasa membership and go back if yall fixed the hours but until then ill stay going to vasa.

This company is border line criminal. Spent 3500$ dollars for a price for life... they increased that rate to cost almost the same as their normal subscription... then closed down all the locations. Then bumped up the rates again... hope they go out of business

I'm a bodybuilder and fitness book author and I do fitness events and such for a living. This gym has by far the best equipment of any gym in town. I like this gym! Never too busy. All the basic machines. Pool and steam and sauna are nice. Needs to be updated but its ok.

An update. Shared a picture of the sauna. Don't get me wrong the Sauna is great and works awesomely but man fix the inside and clean it up. A little pressure wash, a little bit if tile replacement will go a long way. Keeping it this way is pretty bad and can be a liability. Just saying...it was never this way. You can do better 24hr fitness! Lowered from 4 to 3 stars.

I've been a 24-Hour Fitness member since 2007, and have worked out over the years at several different locations both in Denver and here in Colorado Springs. I joined this particular gym a couple years ago, and continue to be very satisfied with my overall experience. Under Henry's management, in particular, new and more equipment has been brought in, layout is sensible, lighting is agreeable, service and maintenance staff are efficient, and the atmosphere is friendly. Working out here is a true pleasure. Thank you Henry and 24-Hour Fitness!!

I want so bad to give this gym more stars, but the most recent event that happened where I'm sitting in my car until 5:30 am waiting on the gym to open. This happened twice, I no longer go to this gym as of two days ago because of this. The level of cleanliness is not the best either, but the equipment is pretty good and there's a nice variation. I enjoyed the environmental, not flashy and have humble people who go to the gym. It's just unfortunate that I no longer can trust that the gym will open on time everyday. It's already not open 24 hours.

I’ve been coming to 24 hour fitness at broadmoor for over 3 years on and off, since then there’s pros and cons I’d like to list about this place.

First the cons.

The first is the 3 day pass, they do not honor it and when I first went they initially just gave 1 day for free instead. However, now I’ve seen they are charging people $20 for a day pass which is ridiculous. They shouldn’t charge someone when the franchise is offering a free pass.

Second, is the bathrooms and locker rooms, there’s been way too many times I’ve gone into the bathrooms and there has been no paper towels, no toilet paper in the stalls. This is because it seems they stock it in the morning and then no one checks on it all day until the next morning when the toilet paper and hand towels sometimes run out half way through the day. This is pretty frustrating and should be fixed..

Third is the maintenance on the pools and equipment. They have had the same broken cable machines and there are 2-3 other machines they have left broken for years now without fixing them..it seems as if the owners don’t care about providing quality equipment for people to use..also I would kill for better machines and esp a hack squat machine, which they don’t have.

Lastly, is the hours, 24 hr fitness is the name of the gym yet they still have not returned to being open 24 hrs…

Now to the Pros.

First pro is the amount of people there..most times I go in there are a small number of folks working out, this is awesome because I hate going to gyms that are always crowded, like vasa is up the street, there’s too many people there and you have to wait for a machine most of the time..this isn’t the case at 24 hr the majority of the time I go.
The people there are also really friendly and I have no problem getting a good workout in without feeling like I’m being stared down by strangers.
Another good thing is the diversity of machines they have and facilities they offer. Always plenty of equipment to use, even if most of it is on the older side.
So far I still am a fan of this gym, there are definitely things I’d fix but over all it’s not bad compared to a lot of the faculties in the springs

Drove 30 minutes because the website linked to this location offers a free 3 day pass if you fill out the online form ( giving up your contact information) However, this location will not honor the pass and charged $20 for a day pass.

Reading earlier reviews I see the owner replied to several identical complaints about not honoring the 3 day pass- the owner stated,” we expect our 24 hour fitness locations to honor the 3 day pass.” Clearly that’s not happening.

Also, drove there specifically for the pool. The staff didn’t bother to tell me that the pool is out of service. They could have put a note at the front counter or told us when we were paying for a day use.

Also, the gym was way too warm, I don’t think the air conditioning was working much.

I will not return.

This gym has gone downhill fast. When I first joined, it was OK, probably 3-4 stars, now I just hate coming here.
The pool/hot tub are either closed or disgusting, I don't think any of the floors in both the locker rooms and gym have been deep cleaned since this place opened, machines are either broken or extreamly worn out, half of the time the staff is up front chatting or texting while the bathrooms are out of paper products and the disinfectant bottles for the gym are empty, I can't breath in the bathrooms it smells so bad (even at 5am), and now that this is the last location in the springs you might as well forget trying to workout any time after 4pm because it's so crowded.
Normally 24hr fitness has respectable gyms but this is a prison.
I wish I could get a refund on my membership. This place needs to be shut down.

I am physically disabled and the only exercise I can currently do is swim. The pool has been closed for over a week with conflicting reports some say it will be open tomorrow some say they don't know. I had to go there to find out it was closed. They could have emailed all members. Poor customer service. I am extremely disappointed that I am not able to exercise because of this. I wouldn't have this membership if it weren't for the pool and since that amenity isn't available this membership is practically useless to me. Disabled folks beware.

Super disappointed at the aggressive sales push from Brandon when I called to get some membership info. He kept trying to make me “pop in” for a tour a discussion and skirted my questions in pricing. He hung up on me when I repeated I was out of town but would appreciate answers. I called back and he pretended we were disconnected and when I asked again what the sign up fees were he hung up again. I called back and a receptionist said there was no manager on duty and she was just as condescending. Bizarre behavior from employees who clearly didn’t care about new customers told me all I needed to know. Donna

Edit: for the 5th or 6th time this year nobody is here to open the doors at 5am.

I have been a member here for around 7 years and things have gone downhill. I can see how people would be upset about the cleanliness but It doesn't really bother me because I hardly ever use the bathroom there. The main issue is the new hours. Opening at 5am during the week and 8 on weekends now. 8 o'clock is an absolute joke for "24 hour fitness". On several occasions there's has been nobody to open the gym at 5 during the week. Just 20 cars in the parking lot of people waiting to get in until one by one people eventually give up and leave. That's unacceptable in my opinion. Half of the tredmills are down and machines go down for several months at a time. Water fountain filter has been on red needing replaced for as long as I can remember. Hoping this gym will go under so a new one can open in it's place.

I used to go to this gym before Covid, it was the only affordable gym that worked with my 2nd shift schedule. After Covid, they changed their hours, which is understandable, but 4 years later they’re STILL not a 24 hour gym, yet they are advertised as “24 Hour Fitness.” The gym itself is nothing special, I always liked the Austin bluffs location better, but not even having 24 hour access is a big middle finger to people who work 2nd shift, and even overnight shift. Before the horrible decision to change the hours, this was the best gym in the city, but I will not support “24 hOuR fItNeSs” when they close right as I’m getting off, and open back up when I’m going to bed.

Edit:
Editing to reply to the response I got, that is very clearly an automated response. Every single review that complains about the lack of “24 hour” access gets the same reply from you. “cLiCk ThE LiNk tO sEe wHaT iS oPpErAtInG hOuRs” like this isn’t the ONLY 24 hour fitness left in the city. Wonder why they’re shutting down…at this point, crunch, PF, lifetime, and gold’s are much better options than 24 hour, all things considered.

If you weren’t going remain a 24/7 business post-Covid, maybe you shouldn’t call yourself “24 hour fitness”. Quit being cheap and taking advantage of the normalizations forced throughout the pandemic and return to providing a superior service. That, or change the name of the business to 12-17 hour fitness.

S/O to the daytime staff at this location. Today (03/07/2024) I dropped an earbud down one of the slots of the bench in the dry sauna, and the front desk and maintenance staff were great in helping me recover it.

I recently started up here after moving from Denver. Equipment is well maintained, cleaning staff is visibly out taking care of the gym, locker room and sauna. Other members have been great to get along with/friendly. It hasn’t been packed, from my perspective, even during peak hours, so waiting on equipment is rare.

Happy I made the switch from my previous gym.

Sounds and looks like a new ethical manager is needed at the Broadmoor towne center location to stay on top of the health department sanitary requirements, basic security to keep non members out and recruit reliable and ethical staff that are available to be at work on time and fulfill their job duties. Vasa is a huge competition right up the street but the main reason no one wants to go there lately is the fact that you can't even get in the door because the parking lot is packed at all hours. This 24 hr fitness location is golden to gain members but not until proper management, reliable staff, usable equipment, extended open hours and sanitary standards are met like it once was. Another reason this location can flourish financially is that Vasa and 24 hr fitness are the only open gyms near Ft Carson or on the SW side of town, and near heavy residential neighborhoods. Very early and late open hours would be an extreme gain for memberships with the dynamics of this area along with childcare given the nearby schools. Don't lose out on what someone will gain here.

Tried a free pass and based off the website when I type in this zip code they offer a silver+ option that I can use the sauna for. The sauna is the only thing I really need. The lady at the counter was nice but couldn’t explain why the website said that. She just said it’s wrong. I just accepted that and got my workout in and used the sauna. I then get a call on my last free day and the lady says she guess it’s not a priority for her team to get an answer on this silver+ option that she says someone else even asked about.
Any company I worked for that runs a website usually has a way to contact corporate so I find that unappealing that I just get a response that it’s not that important to figure out why. I also informed her that the only main thing I’d use is the treadmill when it’s to cold to be outside and almost half of them were broken and the rest are old and dusty. The tvs are small and spaced out so when I want to watch a game while I’m running long hours I would have to squint to even see it. Overall nothing about this gym sold me. I’d suggest just making an affordable reasonable membership for just the side things like a sauna and use that income to fix your stuff and buy some cleaning supplies. Or maybe use the money to pay employees to keep your place open so it can actually be a 24/7 gym. Constant reviews on here talk about the conditions and cleanliness and someone’s clearly reading and responding but doing nothing. Sorry not the kind of place I’d invest my money.

I've been coming to this gym for about three years. There is a wide variety of equipment that allows me to mix up my workout routine, so it's been an adequate gym for me. However, I must say that I've become increasingly frustrated over the fact that the two urinals in the men's locker have been inoperable for over a month, leaving only two toilets available for all bathroom needs. Not only are men standing in line to use the two toilets, the situation has become increasingly unsanitary. I've been told that resources are not available at this time to address this issue because it's the end of a fiscal year and that funds should become available after the first of the year to fix the urinals by the end of January; two months after the problem started! Given the public health hazard this situation presents, I would think that management would have insisted on the resources necessary to fix this situation right away.

This place is so filthy. Got on a machine and saw this bloodied bandaid just chilling on the floor. Honestly, this was the last straw. This mess of a gym has been disgusting for months. Definitely I had to put a review after that, so everyone is aware about the cleanliness before getting into a long contract.
Save yourself the money and skip this gym.

One of the best gyms I have ever been to. The members are serious about training and are a welcoming family. The club is extremely welcoming with the front desk staff always having a smile on! While the gym offers a variety of equipment, the women's restroom consistently falls short in terms of cleanliness, often accompanied by an unpleasant odor. Additionally, broken equipment seems to linger without prompt repairs, impacting the overall workout experience. The dance area lacks proper heating, making it uncomfortably cold during chilly weather, and to add to the inconvenience, the roof leaks on rainy days.

It's disheartening to witness these issues, especially considering the closure of the Austin Bluffs location. Given the size of Colorado Springs, one would expect 24 Hour Fitness to invest more in maintaining and improving this facility to attract a larger customer base.

Some of the employees are very friendly, some will not even greet or say goodbye to you upon leaving.

I’ve been coming here for a little over a year. I’ve never seen a hot tub down as much as it’s down here. Not just the hot tub, but the whole wet area (pool, sauna, steam room). Something is either always broken or closed for “maintenance”. Hot tub is filthy with piles of dirt in the corner on the floor. We complained two weeks ago and it obviously hasn’t improved. Water fountains don’t work. There’s always several machines not working and torn apart. Disappointing when you pay for the whole experience and you’re only ever able to do part of it 🫤

Put up stop talking signs. There’s no reason i should have to wait 45 MINUTES for a smith machine because people won’t stop yapping and actually workout. Everyone who goes here lacks every form of self awareness.
And before you leave some response about a “welcoming” environment i do not care if people want to talk to each other. Some of us need to workout on a tight schedule and pay monthly to do so.

This place is falling apart very quickly. It’s in the broadmoor? We pay for and deserve a little better 24 our fitness. 1 Drinking fountain in the whole place works (the others out of service for months, Caution tape around them) men’s bathroom is flat out disgusting, always. I work out in the Morning, people shower out of the sinks and dry with the hand dryers. Floors are disgusting and one urinal? Steam room has been broke for months, jets for the sauna never work…no paper towels to wipe equipment and none in the bathroom to dry hands with. I hate touching the hand dryer because I see what it has been used for and seeing the state of the entire men’s bathroom, I 100% guarantee they do not get cleaned off ever. When was the last time you guys actually deep cleaned the facility?

I went to this location because my mom recommended it, and went here consistently for 3 months. I've been to several of the commercial gyms in Colorado Springs, and this is the worst one out of all of them. If you're coming here because vasa is too busy, then I suggest you don't. This place is still super busy, and some of the machines are broken or unusable. I wondered why people rarely used the machines, and now I know why. This place isn't 24/7 like it's titled to be. Its hours are worse than all the other gyms I've been to. They close earlier and open later than everyone else. If you're looking for gyms with lots of opening hours, I suggest planet fitness. They only open 24/5, but it's better than 24 hour fitness. You can try anytime fitness, but I've never been there. The pricing is worst than anywhere else. They don't have a silver membership. They only offer gold and platinum. Of course, this place isn't the cleanest like the other reviews said, but I don't have any lung problems and this location is old, so it's kinda expected. If you value cleanliness, then go to vasa. The gym-goers aren't the nicest, but I chaulked it up to that they probably didn't have a good day that day or something. The only pro is that the staff are relatively friendly, but I can say that with any gym I went to.
Overall, literally any gym is better than this gym. I try to keep my emotions out of this, and tried to give the most objective review I can, but a bad experience is a bad experience. I will still be going to this location since I paid in cash, and it's not refundable, but I'm warning you, this place isn't worth it.

Gym is dirty and run down. For such a large corporation, and going to other locations within the brand, you expect a specific standard. This gym is not within those standards. The water fill station has had a red filter status for 6 months, and the filter is so dirty that the water is now running more slowly to fill up a bottle. Machines always broken, it is 85+ degrees in the men’s locker rooms, the “free” lockers with set yourself locks on them are mostly broken. I think there are 3/12 locks that actually work. Makes you wonder what you pay a premium for at this gym/franchise. It’s quite obvious the big corporation is just pocketing money and not really caring about what the members think as you can see in previous reviews. Let’s see how much longer this filter on the water station is dirty. Would hate to see it when it is replaced. Disgusting.

I’ve been going here for about 2 years now and it is quite possibly the grossest gym I’ve ever had the displeasure to workout in. They are understaffed so none of the restrooms are cleaned. There is frequently fecal matter and hair clumps littered all over both locker rooms. It is obvious that the management is damn near broke as nothing is ever fixed and machines can be broken for upwards of months. Their staff is not friendly as friendly as you would expect, most of them hate their jobs. To top it all off as I write this a normal rain storm has just passed and there is so many leaked in their roof that the entire floor is drenched. They do not have enough buckets to catch all the rain. It might as well be an outdoor gym with how much water is seeping through.

I joined 24 hour fitness in late January 2023. Not actually offering 24/7 hours was annoying initially but I decided to just roll with it... on my second visit to the gym, still in late January, I noted there was a good bit of mold on the walls in the men's locker room in a few different locations... I noted this after having a rather large amount of mucus and phlegm accumulate in my lungs during my hour bike ride and while lifting weights for another hour. Before leaving the facility I mentioned the mold to a few of the employees at the front desk and they responded that they were aware of the issue and it was being addressed. Upon leaving the facility and being home for a hour or two my allergy symptoms subsided. The next week at the gym I had the same allergy symptoms, coughing, phlegm, etc... the mold has been visibly scraped from the walls but it didn't appear that any further mold remediation had occurred. I also noted that the vents in the men's locker room were visibly rusted and dirty... indicative of the mold being present throughout the hvac system (mold attaches to rust and other organic materials especially in the presence of regular high humidity... such as in the men's locker room with showers and an opening to the heated pool and hot tub). I worked out at the SouthGate location a few more times in Feb before deciding that not being able to breathe while working out was a problem.
At the end of Feb or beginning of March my wife and I were charged the annual membership fee... I didn't think this was going to occur essentially at the end of month 1... it took me a couple of weeks to get back into the gym to cancel the membership (March 20) and when asked for my reason for canceling I brought up the mold and my allergies... fully aware of the problem, the staff member that I spoke with confirmed that they had been having issues with the hvac system and they'd been having issues with staffing... in other words "yeah we know it's filthy in here"... I asked about getting the annual membership fee refunded and I was informed that there wasn't anything that they could do once it's withdrawn... that is nonsense... hence this negative review. Like others have said, they are technically engaged in false advertising by continuing to operate under the name "24 hour fitness" by not being open 24/7... and the facility is poorly taken care of...

Very disgusted and disturbed with this establishment and the people working at both the Southgate and Austin Bluffs location. The people who work here have no integrity or morals. On January 13th, my father visited the 24 Hr fitness Southgate location and obtained burns. He took the bus to his place of residence and his roommate drove him to the hospital. Originally my family and I didn’t know which location this happened at so I called the Austin Bluffs location to see if they could give me additional information. I spoke with JT multiple times and she advised me to speak with Natalie Hirsch, but every time I tried connecting with Natalie, JT kept giving excuse after excuse as to why Natalie wasn’t available. I asked JT if I could cancel my father’s membership because my father could not come in himself due to complications from his burns, and she insisted that we had to come even after telling her the severity of my father’s condition. Michael Fyre, the acting general manager got back to me days later and finally provided the correct location my dad visited and he said he created a report with a sales manager. He only told me the time my dad arrived at the gym and stated that no one on shift saw anything and no accidents were reported. They have not been helpful in getting answers as to why medical personnel were not called after my father went through the trauma he did or how this happened in the first place. I don't believe my dad went through the trauma of being burned at their facility without ANYONE seeing or hearing anything. Their negligence caused my dad's death and they will be held accountable.

Not to parrot what others have said, but why is this location still called "24 Hour Fitness"? I like to think I'm reasonable and understand that literally being open 24 hours a day isn't feasible anymore, especially in Colorado Springs (as big as the city has gotten, it's still not a large metro that warrants having anything open 24 hours a day), but closing at 10 pm during the week, 9 pm on Friday, and 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday is absolutely absurd and laughable. And it's a bit insulting when the owner/manager has replied in other reviews to check out the list of other locations that are open 24 hours a day, or that they have a sign on their door telling you to drive up to south Denver if you want to go to a location that has extended hours. Do they even hear themselves when they say or post that?

I won't even comment on the cleanliness and appearance of this location, as others have said plenty. To have "Broadmoor" attached to the name is a shame given how run down this location has gotten.

I've been a member for over 10 years and am grandfathered into a killer price/deal, but for people looking for a gym, unfortunately I have to say look for another gym (there's literally another big chain less than 2 miles south of this location).

***EDIT ON 01/30/23***

Copy and paste "response" from the owner that doesn't actually answer any questions. And worth repeating, a slap in the face of members since they're basically saying "If you want a location open later, drive 40+ miles to Denver."). So, I'll reiterate -- if you're looking for a gym, look elsewhere.

Got the 3 day free pass online to try the gym out. I went in first day and worked out. The cardio equipment is out if date, the belt slips on multiple treadmills, bad enough that I almost tripped. The rest of the gym is mediocre, or slightly below average at best. The temperature was fine for someone sitting at a desk, but way too hot for working out in.

Went in for the 2nd day of my 3 day trial, they told me they no longer do 3 day trails and I needed to sign up.

So I went 2 and a half minutes down the road to Vasa Fitness. They gave me a 1 day pass, their gym is up to date with functioning equipment, nice inside, far more to do, cool temperature inside for working out, and they are about $15 cheaper per month. I signed up for vasa same day.

I was told they were horrible and still went with them because the guy we met with was so nice. Big mistake!! FAIR WARNING THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY FAST BUT IF THEY NEED TO REFUND IT GOOD LUCK GETTING ANYTHING BACK, NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL!

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW:
I was finally able to speak to someone (They reached out to me) concerning my refund. I did receive it 3 days after speaking to him. He was very nice, and had I spoke with him in the first place; I may have stayed there. It's all about communication. I did love the location and the Gym itself. The staff was friendly every time I went in there. May go back one day especially if they stay open 24 hours again!

I’m writing this review because of Caitlyn. Caitlyn is great example of what a service employee should be. She keeps busy but is always cheerful. She always has a smile when she’s greeting you and when she’s saying goodbye as you’re leaving. Great employees make the experience worthwhile

Signed up for a 3 day pass online and proceeded to use it later that day. Upon arrival, I met with the front desk representative who stated that because I once had a gym membership over 6 years ago in another city/state (Miami, FL) I was unable to use the 3 day pass. Which makes no sense. I just moved here from Miami and wanted to sign up for a new gym. I would understand if I had a recent membership or even a membership at that specific location but that wasn't the case. Since I was told I could n out use the gym I left. I received a phone call hours later from another representative who had the audacity to ask if I wanted to sign up. I explained to him the situation as I signed up for a 3 day pass and wasn't allowed to use the gym because I had a 24hour membership 6 years ago in a different city/state. He advised that he could show me around the gym, but could not honor the three day because of people abusing the 3 day pass going from location to location. If that were the case, 24hour requires you to enter an email, dob, and you must present an ID once you go use the pass. So if all that information is gathered, it should not be difficult to flag those individuals who sign up with multiple 3 day passes. Whenever you make a commitment, you always need to try it out. Whether it be buying a new car or signing up for a new gym. So I kindly declined his offered and suggested that he give this feedback to upper management because not only did they lose my business, but also my 3 other family members business, and possibly those who read this review.
