Just visiting Denver but I really like this 24hr fitness. Its large with more equipment than Ive ever seen. A pool. People are chill here, the uses arent yelling and slamming weights so I think it's inviting and not intimidating at all. Staff is cool, the first day is a little long because they kind of interview you and show you around but they just want to welcome you and help you out!

I recently started coming back to this location after a few years absent. After 4 months back, it amazes me how many machines are out-of-service (I can think of 6 off the top of my head) and have been broken down the entire time I’ve been back. Meaning, they have probably been out for 6 months at least, maybe longer than a year. Ridiculous. They have two leg extension machines, and one of them is awful, so everyone wants to use the one that’s simply mediocre, therefore good luck getting on that one at all. The people who work there have been more than nice so far, but the front desk is often unmanned and I’ve given up trying to buy a sports drink because I’ve waited up to 10-15 min before being helped. And the locker room/bathroom is pretty disgusting and smelly. Overall the place is rundown, grungy, shoddy in its lack of upkeep, and just seems like the company is slowly letting it crumble before it eventually shuts down. Such a pity.

Update: After this rote response, still nothing is being done to improve the quality of this location.

2nd update: This location only has two leg extension machines, and the Hoist version is terrible, nobody likes using it because it’s not full range of motion. So, it’s always tough getting on the decent machine, which of course has been broken down for weeks now. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I truly enjoy 24 Hour Fitness overall, and this location stands out as one of the best. The gym is very spacious, which I appreciate, and the membership price is incredibly affordable—around $21–25 for access to Colorado locations, which is an excellent value for a facility of this size. The gym is well-equipped with everything you need for a complete workout, and it has a comfortable atmosphere. I usually go at 5 AM, and it’s never too crowded then; I can’t speak for after-work hours, but like most gyms, I expect it gets busy.

The staff here are consistently friendly and helpful. Both the young woman in the mornings and the older lady with grey hair always go out of their way to assist whenever needed. The facility is also kept clean at all times, which I really appreciate.

My only suggestion would be for the gym to return to being open 24/7, as it was before COVID. That would make an already excellent gym even better.

I am currently working with my legal team regarding defamation and discrimination matters. Some individuals at this gym have spread some really hurtful and inappropriate comments about me. I literally keep to myself and don’t engage with others, yet I’ve been a loyal member of this company for over 10 years. It seems that some employees have even joined in on these rumors (this is what really bothers me). They have closed the three facilities I used to frequent, and while I will continue to use this location, I will not tolerate being lied about.

I recently moved to Colorado and visited a gym for a three-day free trial. When I arrived, the manager, Steven, pressured me into signing up for a membership for just one dollar. He wouldn’t leave me alone to enjoy the free trial, and due to his aggressive tactics, I reluctantly signed up after using the gym. However, I quickly realized the gym wasn’t for me. Two days later, I called to cancel, but I was told I had to cancel in person. The next day, I went to the gym to cancel, and Steven informed me there was a $50 cancellation fee. I explained that I hadn’t wanted to sign up in the first place, which upset him. My reasons for not wanting to join include the outdated equipment (from the early 2000s), the dirty facility (I saw roaches on the floor), and the staff’s cantankerous behavior toward guests. I will not be paying for subpar service, and dirty gyms are not my thing.

I’ve been coming here 3x per week since September ‘24. It’s been a great place to work out with my gym buddy and learn to use the different equipment. I love the squat rack area. Everyone is so nice. There’s different types of workouts for building and maintaining muscle for pain-free movement. There’s a punching bag here, it was really fun to use my wraps. I really like the flow, it’s easy to find equipment. I can get into a flow state here.

I came to this gym on vacation and there is no option for a day pass. They only offer a THREE day pass that has to be used consecutively. ON TOP OF THAT, I realized that I left a bathing suit there after using their pool and tried to call same day HOWEVER unlike their name (“24 hour fitness”), I was unable to speak to someone because they are indeed not open for 24 hours.

IT CONTINUES. I called first thing the next day at 5 am and had an employee CONFIRM that they did find my bathing suit and would hold it for me. I was unable to go same day. When I arrived TWO DAYS later I was told it was discarded because every other Friday they decide to disregard all of the it’s in their lost and found. So please BEWARE.

My experience with 24-Hour Fitness the last few years has been disappointing compared to my first 15 years as a member. BUT there there remains at least one really bright spot. The club at Colorado and Alameda really stands out. Being greeted with a smile by Muriel a couple times a week and then using the pool that is so clean and expertly maintained by Marvin, this Club is worthy of some praise. There may be other good people here at different times, but these two folks are the reason my membership is worth keeping and I look forward to coming here.

It doesn’t matter how spacious and equipped a place is (Parker-Arapahoe for example), it’s the PEOPLE that make all the difference.
