The front desk is friendly. It's a smalles gym but there is still a variety of weights machines and workout options. I hate the larger gyms with tons of stuff spread out everywhere so I like the set up of this gym. Almost half of the stair master machines (3 of 7) are broken and I wish they would fix them. It's a real eye sore.

I got a super sport membership when I was in California and moved here recently, there aren’t any super sport facilities near me and most places here aren’t open 24hours a day like the ones in California, to add to that they wouldn’t let me cancel my account.

Facility is small and decrepit. Machines that don’t work or stick constantly. Biggest thing is it’s more expensive for less amenities and equipment. Shop around and understand they are not all 24hrs. Also they have different kinds that you’re not allowed to workout at unless you pay way more but no way to see what kind it is (sport, super sport) don’t waste your time or money. You’ll also get put into a commitment contract without being told and I couldn’t find a commitment period anywhere on my contract.

Another small gym. Not very crowded early in the morning on a week day. The have some funky lockers that my lock would not fit on but the desk gave me a loaner lock, no problem. Plenty of free covered parking next to the door.

Updating my review from 2017. New manager is awesome and they have a solid head trainer! New squat racks are awesome and they are using the space they have well in the aerobic area and the weight room.

Since the new gym manager took over this 24 has gone down hill. The weight room is always a mess, machines are broken and it takes them weeks to fix. They continue to have the boxing area attached to the TRX area and I am just waiting for someone to tear a bicep. They had plenty of un used space on the first floor that could have been a great boxing area but decided to move all the merchandise there, where no one shops and eliminate 100% of any impulse purchases. The trainers turn over like no tomorrow... It's a shame to see a decent gym tank so hard, so fast. I miss the old gym manager!

Had some Real estate business in town here and stopped in for a workout twice. Very organized & clean on the inside & outside. Fantastic environment with smiles from everyone I encountered. The staff was very helpful, the manager Maurice actually took the time to show me around and offered to help in anyway. Thanks for having such a great and pleasant staff.

Personally no 24 hour fitness will get a 5 star rating from me. They removed all paper towels from their locker rooms "due to excessive costs" but I still pay the same rate. Very frustrating.

I take one more star away from this location because they play the absolute worst music. It doesn't matter what genre they are playing it's the worst of that genre. Ha. Other locations however are just fine.

With all that said this location has amenities on par with other 24 hour locations and fulfils the other expectations I have from a gym.

Awesome gym with awesome staff. There has been management change in the last couple months and everything has gotten better since then. Unusable. Will cancel my membership. Constantly assaulted by the way too LOUD 24hr radio, with many advertisements, and music that I don’t want to listen to. To be clear, I have very very good noise canceling headphones too, and I have to turn them up way too loud in order not to hear the 24h radio- which makes my workout experience terrible. It seems that I’m paying a membership to be propagandized with advertisements and music that I do not want to hear. Also, bathrooms and showers are usually very filthy. Oh yes, I have mentioned the radio loudness to the staff, and the manager never seems to be available so they can’t access the “volume control”.

The 24 Hr Fitness in Englewood is a great hidden gym! The staff is super friendly and the weightlifting areas are fantastic. Great options for free weights and the machine section is on point. I can feel the gains the second I walk through the door.

This is by far the most dated 24hr fitness I’ve worked out at. Majority of the equipment is old and in need of an update. For this gym to be so small, it shouldn’t have rusty equipment. However 24hr is known to cut corners when they can. Coming from the 24 in Fox-field to this one is a MAJOR downgrade. This gym isn’t even open 24hrs.

I like going during the day because there is a lot less people. I like the variety of machines. I like there long punching bag, the row machines, everything. I think some of the machines could be oiled or something because a few are kind of hard and They need a new torso machine because that is my favorite machine and it is broken. Other than that, the customer service is great the place is clean and the environment is very nice.

I wish I could take a picture of the bathrooms/showers. Three days in a row, it has been so gross. There are dirty clothes in the shower, band-aids, there was a bottle of beer, razors, and more! I honestly don't think they clean this area of the facility. I do not want to begin to talk about the bathroom stalls - today was the worst I have seen any facility. Ever. 24 Hour Fitness Management should be embarrassed. Maybe you should sponsor a cleaning crew instead of the US Olympic team.

It's a gym but it's probably one of the worst 24s I've been too. They close between 11pm and 5 am which is a problem some mornings. Their selection of free weights leaves a lot to be desired. Their machines are ok but kind of random. The layout is weird. This place really needs a face lift on the inside. You can tell it was a Bally's that 24 took over.

My wife & I have belonged to 24 HF for 6 months now and this location is the one we toured prior to signing up. The more I go to this gym the more and more aggravated I become with this place. First and foremost the front desk and membership person that gave us the tour told us that our membership gains us access to ANY other 24 HF and if there is specific equipment that this location does not have then there will be another that does. I know that I should have read the fine print to understand that the basic membership only gains you access to another basic club, not the super sports or higher level clubs, but that is not what we were told. And speaking of things that weren't verbalized the annual membership fee wasn't mentioned either. Again, that is in the fine print of the contract but it wasn't disclosed prior to us signing up and it took us looking up the contract and researching the annual fee to understand why we had additional charges on our bill this month. Those two things alone are shady business tactics but I also didn't read the fine print prior to signing up.

Moving on. I understand that the footprint of this gym isn't all that big but there is a some pieces of equipment and auxiliary missing and they would go a long way: 1) Foam Plyo Boxes (they have the steel stands but those are definitely more dangerous than what they're worth). 2) Set of round olympic plates (makes deadlifts/cleans and floor barbell work a lot easier and safer). 3) various sizes of jerk/deadlifting blocks. 4) At least 2 of each monster band size/tension and have multiple diameters (try doing banded barbell jump squats when no two monster bands are the same size/tension). 5) Landmine attachment for a barbell (this takes up essentially no room and attaches to the post of a squat rack). 6) Glut Ham Raise machine (wishful thinking but they could put it in the corner somewhere).

I had a annual membership at $119 with Ballys before they got bought out by 24 Hour Fitness. I went to renew this week and was told that my membership had been closed. The manager gave me 24 hr fitness's corporate phone #. Corporate told me that I had not paid annual fee of $29 that I was not aware of. Never received any emails or mail regarding that fee. I got the feeling that they did not want my business any more since I was on a previous membership that was more affordable. Will need to find a new club.

This is a smaller club but it has a lot to offer. The club itself is definitely not as busy as many of the other clubs in the network and gives you ample opportunity to get your workout done in good time. The only thing about this club is that since it is adjacent to the Englewood municipalities building it is required to close at 10pm. So this is the only 24 hr fitness in the state that is not open 24 hours. But it is still well worth your time especially to get a quick workout in. The staff are very friendly and the club is in excellent condition.

My husband asked me to write the review. He switched to this 24 because of the disgusting dirty showers at the 24 close to our house. For the last 3 mornings the showers have had a massive sewage backup in them. This is something that should be fixed immediately- it is a health risk. The front desk staff are apathetic. I have been going to this gym for almost 10 years, since it was Bally Total Fitness. Bally's was definitely way more organized, very clean and staff were very friendly! Ever since it has changed to 24 hours, it has been a horrible experience! its not even open 24 hours. You cannot even bring a guest for free anymore which is totally insane. Seems like its always packed, and Customer Service sucks. The only reason why I continue to go is because it is the closest near me. Really thinking about changing gyms!

The only reason i didn't give it just one star is that this has all the equipment I need to get a good workout in. It has a sauna and a steam room to relax in.
The reason for the low rating is that the whole place is filthy. The lockers are never cleaned, floors are mopped, but i've seen the way they mop. They will just wet the floor really. The showers were growing mold and it only took a week for them to clean the shower after I told them about it. Currently there is no hot water and although every place has its problems, it seems this place takes a lot longer fix. Equipment is old, but I don't mind the old equipment. They did get new cardio equipment since 24 hour fitness took this gym over from once being a Ballys.
Overall I would say find another place if you can, but if you are like me and the destination of convenience is to much then this place will be just fine.

Best gym I have consistently worked out since college 38 years ago. I do not have training classes, social meetings, or clear me clears to deal with much here. Equipment is maintained on a reasonable schedule. Only problem is the social phenomena everywhere of people sitting on weight machines while texting for 5 to 35 minutes.
