The Oswego 24 Hour Fitness Club (#350) is awful. Management has cut staff, meaning there's rarely someone at the front desk and no maintenance people to fix the MANY broken machines (see photos). Plus, new club hours are 4am-12am (20 hours), so I'm not sure why it's still called "24 Hour" Fitness.

Best 24 hour around! Always a great atmosphere, great layout and the staff is phenomenal. I’d like to see a couple machines upgraded, but other than that. This place is outstanding!

This 24 Hour Fitness has an incredible knowledgable staff that really cares about their members The staff goes the extra mile to help their members feel welcomed from the time they walk in the door. This center has an open feeling which I love due to the the large windows on the south side of the building. I would suggest to anyone to buy a membership at this 24 Hour location. I have been a member here for over 8 years.

I don't know what this facility was like before but I've been a member for 3 months now and it's fabulous. Very clean (very important!), the staff are always friendly, and I love how easy it is to find an available locker in the locker room. Never once has there been an issue of overcrowding which was a frustration at my old club. I was looking at this one and another 24 Hour Fitness and this one was hands-down the right choice because of how nice it is and the friendly staff. I'll be a long-term member!

When I first came in to this location, I was always frustrated because the fingerprint scan never worked for me no matter how many times it was adjusted. Since I come in 3-4 times a week it became annoying.
(One time when I came in they scanned my thumbprint and the next time I came in the staff told me they never scan the thumb. :/ )
Once I expressed my frustration, the staff gave me an alternative way to sign in. It worked for awhile but then they changed their computer system it no longer was an option and it became a time consuming sign in again.
So why the 5 stars? Because the staff immediately took the time to actually learn my name (you know, like a real person not just a member number) and sign me in when I walk in without the hassle. (Even the employees who don't know me are quick to help when I ask them to sign me in manually. ) I know they can't do it for everyone but I really appreciate the extra effort. How nice to just be greeted and told I'm all set and I can just go work out without delay.
Chase and the other employees (including the management staff) at the front counter do an excellent job of making me feel welcome and make my trips to the gym more enjoyable. Kudos to them for a job well done!

Great location and friendly staff. They have a variety of equipment for all types of work outs. The spin area is great. I can pop in and do a workout with an instructor from a screen, no need to plan class times! Super convenient!

1 star because I can't give 0. "You have to come in to cancel your membership"... wow dudes. Scummy scum scum of the earth sales tactics. Just got off the phone with my bank. They liked my logic and agreed to block all future charges from 24. Working in marketing makes this situation alllll too ironic for me. Maybe I should give two for the lulz.

I don't always love working out, but this place softens the blow. I've been a member here for a few months and it's great. The staff are VERY friendly, helpful and encouraging (without being overbearing). They offer a variety of classes in addition to the vast number of options when it comes to the equipment and machines (including an indoor pool and basketball court)...which makes it a good value. And it's clean! Compared to my last gym, this place is in tip-top shape.

Management has made several major improvements over the past several months. First and foremost, the men's locker room was refitted with new urinals eliminating the stench that has filled the space for a long time. In addition, they have invested in a significant amount of new equipment and stations this last year. Staff is always polite and helpful. Keep it up team!

Management has really brought this club up to a high level. New equipment, excellent layout, and various classes are offered. I have patronized and worked out at several 24-Hour Fitness facilities and can say, without equivocation, that the Meridian club in Englewood, Colorado, is the best run and managed gym I've been associated with. This is due in large part to the unequaled management and supervisory skills of Jason, the top executive at this facility. Customer service is outstanding, the employees are congenial and knowledgeable and the equipment in good working order. Thus, I commend Jason for his leadership and overall superb supervisory skills. Great Job!

I’ve been a member at the Meridian 24hour fitness since the day it opened. It’s been through its ups and downs but recently under new management plus staff I have watched it become the best I’ve ever seen. From Mariah the maintenece girl who is probably the best I have ever seen there, to Jason the GM who is relentless with making the place tip top. I’m very impressed with the training staff as well! I really appreciate their efforts thus why I will keep this my home base for fitness. Kudos to the entire staff

As an avid gym person with 30 plus years of athletic training and a busy job I can not say how much I appreciate this 24 hr gym in particular. Parking is ample and I am at my locker and onto the gym floor within moments. The gym is clean, well equipped for any type of athlete, well organized, with a professional friendly vibe. It has a wide range of athletes from beginner to advanced and yet they work well together side by side. The staff always greets me at the door and when I had a question about my dues the GM personally called me followed by two others staff members assisting promptly. Hands down this gym is a 10! Thanks 24 for always having my back... even when I travel. You make my day and my life that much better. β€οΈπŸ˜€πŸ’ͺ🏽

I've been a member of 24hr Fitness since 2000 and have worked out at locations throughout Colorado, California, and Texas. I've been at the Oswego location since 2005 and have seen its ups and downs. However, with the new leadership (GM Jason) things have changed for the better. There have been new additions to equipment in both upgrades, new machines, and more efficient use of space. More importantly, out of all of the gyms I've never seen a General Manager walk the floor on a daily basis as Jason does. Not only will you see him on a daily basis with his maintenance manager checking out machines, but you'll see him picking up plates and wiping down equipment. That is leadership that all gyms need which is reflection of pride in what he does and good way to set up a culture and expectations with his team.

The club management is obviously unwilling to spend any money on repair and maintenance. Three of the 10 showers in the men's locker room have been broken and unusable for 6 weeks. Once a piece of exercize equipment breaks - it stays broken.
The staff members are super and you have to feel sorry for them - trying to deal with a broken club.

Updated. It is now 2019. While pool is still meh, they finally joined the rest of 24 and got platforms and wifi. One star to 4. Oh and stay away, we been out here since before wifi. #resoluters #cheers

You get what you pay for. If you have Sprint or lower don't bother streaming music or anything over 3G. No WIFI. I can't believe it's 2016 and no wifi in DTC! Denver TECHNOLOGY center. Nuff said.

the staff is awesome and nothing bad to say. super welcoming and always ready to help or offer assistance. unfortunately cleanliness is a big factor in my book...the men's locker room facilities are really bad. there are stretches of time that the bathroom facilities smell worse than a port-a-potty after a Sunday NFL game. not sure if the problem is with the sanitary lines but the smell is unbearable (urine). the showers also are in need of attention, everything from grime/slime along with shower heads and shower controls not properly functioning.

the size of the facility is neither big nor small and does pose layout challenges but nothing different from other 24 hour centers or for that matter other gyms in general.

Grizzly Dirty Health Hazard - I am now filing a 4th complaint in 2 months. I spoke to Sarah the Ops manager 3 times at the Merdian club in Englewood, CO off of Lincoln and I25 about the orange colored bacteria growing in the mens shower room on the tiles and grout in multiple shower stalls. It is also really awful on the shower curtains. Nobody appears to be cleaning even after 3 complaints. After my first complaint about 2 months ago someone removed the shower curtain in the first stall on the left and has never re-installed it since. The worst orange bacteria covered stall and shower curtain is the last stall as you are walking in on the left. I have been a life time member since 1995. I have attended many different 24 hour Fitness clubs in the Ken Caryl, Highlands Ranch, and at Quebec & C470. I have never witnessed such filth at any other club. I don't believe this is too much to ask for hygiene sake. The Ops Manager at first offered to give me her GM's name and number then changed her mind and said I should post my complaint on their web site. God forbid if I would be able to speak to a human being. This is an example of poor customer service.

This is a great gym, well laid out and plenty of good equipment with excellent trainers (go see Jordan, he is awesome). However, the best thing about this 24 is the classes. The instructors are great, they balance pushing and encouraging and are great at coaching proper form. I would give this place 5 stars but the cleanliness is not always there and the steam room is quite nasty way too often.

Went to this club as I recently moved near it. Went in a little after 7 p.m. on Feb 11th to try out the advertised 'free pass' and was told that myself AND my guest (Who also had never been and had a free pass) would have to pay $20 a piece for the day. When informing him that we had a free pass the representative stated that his GM, Jason, wouldn't allow him to activate it since there were no membership representatives available to tour us and show us pricing options. In short, free isn't free. First have to be badgered into a membership.

Yesterday, I visited this location with two friends to get a quick workout in before we had to work. One of my friends is a member, and one is not, but was planning on signing up. I would have been interested in a membership if I liked the gym, and had a 3 day trial pass I was hoping to use. Upon signing up for the trial period, we were aggressively approached by an employee (I believe his name was Jason) and basically ordered to sit at the membership sign up station and listen to his sales pitch before we went downstairs to the gym. We told him we didn't have much time and were hoping to start our workout and he completely ignored us and began his pitch. When he entered my name into the system, it showed that I had visited a 24 Hour Fitness location before, so he told me I wasn't able to use the trial pass. I didn't remember going to a 24 hour location, but once he told me the location I remembered I did visit an entirely separate location last year, for less than an hour, to use the steam room when I was sick with a cold. Rather than being understanding of the situation, he insisted that I had only two options - pay $60 to start a membership, or pay $20 for the one day pass. I reiterated that we only had an hour to work out and that I wanted to get a workout in before I committed to a membership and I asked if he could do a discount rate since $20 for an hour is a ridiculous price. He was very rude about it and kept repeating himself, insisting I pay $20 for what was now less than an hours workout time. I was hesitantly willing to pay the $20 simply because I didn't want to ruin the morning for my friends, but they both insisted that I didn't, so we ended up going back to my friend's apartment to use his gym. I work in sales and I understand how potential customers should be approached, and Jason did the exact opposite. He took a situation where he could have easily sold two memberships and turned it into a situation where all three of us left, and now my friend who is a member is considering cancelling his membership. I don't expect hand outs, but I do expect understanding and professionalism. Jason was not professional, not friendly, and absolutely should not be working in sales. There are plenty of other gyms that are cheaper and have a much friendlier staff, and I'd recommend checking those out.

$30/month or $16/month if you get the two year Costco deal. For this price it's a great gym. The negative reviews aren't wrong, but if you're not high maintenance it's not a big deal. Stuff can break, it can get it busy from 430-6pm, not all the showers have high water pressure, and hundreds of people sweating in the same room gives it A SLIGHT odor, but for the $16 I pay for tons of free weights and cardio equipment plus free wifi it's a great deal. There's a pool, sauna and steam room as well. If you're on the fence get a free 3 day pass and check it out for yourself. Solid gym in my book.

honestly, it smells here. the layout of the place is a little weird, not too many classes are offered, but hey... it's only $30/mo! the trainers are pretty awesome and it's cheap! once a month you can get a 5 1hr training sessions for $300!! at lifetime gym I paid $120/hr. I saw a trainer on Friday evening and it's now Monday and I'm still sore!!

Just moved to the area and wanted to try out different gyms before selecting one. Got a guest pass online and headed to the gym. When i got there i was told since i already tried out other 24 hour fitness centers, i would be unable to use their guest pass as all 24 hour fitnesses are the same. I beg to differ as the other two were very different in cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and how crowded they were at different times. Also much friendlier staff. As I'm not writing a review for the other gyms here, I won't mention them, but if you want to actually try out a gym before paying a membership fee or an outrageous one time fee, I'd go anywhere else. These people obviously don't want your business.

New management has fixed almost all things that were wrong with this club. Facility is in great shape and staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and I now enjoy coming to this club a lot more. Would recommend to friends and family.

You won't have T-Mobile coverage because it's kind of underground. Honestly would give this gym 4 stars. I haven't noticed anything wrong. It's not like the happiest place in the world either. Just trying to boost the score a little because the current 2.3 rating is totally unjustified

I have signed up for the membership in the summer of 2014 I am a student out of state so I came to stay with the family over the summer. This is exactly the information that I presented to they gym when I signed up, the employee told me that I can freeze my account and that I do not have to close it because I can reopnen it whenever I need to. So after the 3 initial payments were made and there were no more transactions made I thought wow what a great deal! But I openede up my account and I wanted to look up my spending to my surprise I had new charges made for 4 month that I had no idea about and I did not authorize them. When I went back to Parker Colorado to see my family I stopped by at that gym to correct this THEFT and the gentlemen over there told me that I was wrong that the freeze only works for 6 month and that I had an email sent to me. So I am currently trying to work with the my bank to dispute these charges, I was never told that the freeze was for 6 month otherwise I would never agree to it because I live out of state and I will not be using the facility why would I pay money for something I will not use. Another thing is that the gentlemen who handled my account has not said anything about an email being sent to me and that there would be anything different from the information that he has provided. I ended up closing that membership account completely and I had to get a new card to avoid any more THEFT from 24Hour Fitness. To whom it may concern BE CAREFUL and monitor your accounts because without you knowing it and without your authorization 24 HourFitness will take away your hard earned money.

Disgusting. The whole time the "cleaning" guy was here (for an hour or two around 2am?), he didn't touch anything in the men's bathroom, didn't clean the pool area, and apparently (according to staff) hardly "cleaned" anything in the main gym area. Pretty nasty. Had he put in four times the effort, it wouldn't come close to achieving half-ass. Staff told me the same "cleaning" company company has a contract with all Colorado locations, replacing the much better cleaners they had before, which means all locations in the state may now be disease traps too. I normally schedule my workouts to arrive right after the place has been cleaned, but that may mean waiting indefinitely or simply canceling. Now looking for serious alternatives.

Relatively minor issues: Six lights in the pool area are now out and they never seem to have all lights in working order. You could say the hot tub area is not sufficiently lit. Another light (one of two) in the sauna is out, as are two or three lights in the main gym area. Main water fountain broken.

Basketball gym is always rented out. Last year and ALL summer, it was reserved for boys basketball teams from morning until 9:00pm at night. Now it's volleyball. The only reason we got the membership was for the basketball gym and now we are stuck with a two year membership that we can't even use.

I don't understand how you can rent the gym out to groups making it nearly impossible for your members to actually use it?

I have gone to many locations in the south Denver area. I find this location to be the best. I do need to go late to use the weight machines because of the large number of people that use this gym. If I want to use a treadmill or elliptical I can go most any time.

Although I must agree with the other reviewers in that this is a somewhat mediocre club, I've been to much worse. It has pretty much all the equipment necessary for most resistance training work outs, and its usually in pretty good shape.

The members are not bad at all, pretty respectful and show decent amount of gym etiquette. Also, It is much cleaner than the large, more expensive Arapahoe Super-Sport location. As far as usage times, its peak hours are brief and even at those times you can get on most of the equipment when you want to.

Overall, good value for the money.

Extremely crowded unless you go ultra early. Broken equipment ignored. Front desk workers always very nice and attentive. Can't comment on the showers or pool as I've never used either. I've seen much better 24 Hour Fitness locations. This location desperately needs new management.

Overall, a typical medium size corporate type gym club that is getting a little old.
Pros- Has a good variety of all your usual equipment.
Has a pool and hot tub..
Staff is very pleasant.
The crowd is pretty normal looking.
It's pretty inexpensive.

Con- It's usually either crowded or VERY crowded.
Equipment is very close together, there is minimal free space to do independent exercise.
A lot of the equipment is getting beat up, and doesn't function well or at all.
The gym and locker room are sort of clean, but could be much better.
About 40% of the members are clueless about gym etiquette i.e. They will try to workout on top of you, try to use two machines at once while people are waiting, will take plates off the bench your using when you're in the middle of a set, etc.
Management is not responsive to fixing or replacing outdated or broken equipment.

Overall, so-so to not so great.

Me and my wife have been to 24 hr's all over the country and this is by far the worst. It is constantly extremely hot, not that I dont go there to sweat but when its always 77 to 80 degrees it is just too hot for my wife to even go without getting dizzy and light headed because of her medical issues. The equipment is dirty, much dirtier than any of the other 24 hr's. I hate that this 24 hr is like this because it gives all the other ones bad names. My wife asked if they do any cleaning to maintain the place and the employee said they expected the customers to do it. I understand wiping down the equipment when youre finished but its not the customers job to maintain the equipment. About 1/3 of the treadmills always stick when I start to run, that wouldnt happen if things were properly maintained.

The equipment is pretty good, no complaints there. I generally go early morning (5-6 am) and it's not very crowded at that point. The locker rooms are just ok, the showers are not the cleanest. My biggest complaint is that the showers have no place to set your soap, shampoo, etc. so I have to bring in a suction cup shower caddy. I'm comparing it to the 24 hour fitness near Quebec and County Line, the showers there are much nicer than this location.
