Dirty floor in the steam room ( 3 members entering with workout shoes, street shoes). 2 men came to read the rules and took the shoes off, but 1 young girl with black shirt (papa written on it), refused to respect the rules. Even when a member from management came in to see her, she refused. The manager said she is a member. A member who ignore the rules? A management who does not care about their written rules? No respect for person cleaning the floor or for other members respecting the rules. It is my 3rd times reporting dirty floor in the swimming pool area and steam room. Hope the management will educate members to respect the rules and have common sense in public area.

The wifi is bad. can not connct to the TV for sound, perhaps they changed the app and didi not bother to notify members. Sauna is supposed to be cleaned each night, but I am seeing the same dirt day after day, and I know it comes off because I was able to rub it off. Looks like the cleaners are back.

I have been a member of this gym for several months. I think most of the staff are very friendly and professional and I think for the money the equipment is adequate. The reason I’m finally writing a review is due to the GM, Mikki. She is probably one of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever encountered…from a condescending attitude when asked questions to her almost complete inability to return a phone call. Last Thursday I watched her argue and yell at a group of teenagers who came into the gym and were then chased out into the parking lot by her where she continued to yell at them. It was childish and embarrassing. I’ve tried to share concerns with others but she refuses to share contact information for corporate and when using the website to email corporate specifically voicing concerns about her behavior, emails are only responded to by her. I’m in a contract and can promise it won’t be renewed.

I have gone here for years and I love the location and there are quite a few regulars that continue. Sadly the gym, and faithful members are not being taken care of. It is filthy and the equipment is really showing its age. Other gyms are now using 24 Hours’ decline and dirtiness in their sales pitch. Please clean the gym consistently. There are many gyms in this area with different rates, offers, and classes. And so, the question becomes- which offers the most comfort and quality of staff? I've been coming to 24HR Fitness for a couple years and while I'm happy to put my head down and just workout, there are a couple staff members that have kept me from pursuing other memberships. Refugio is an absolute ball of sunshine, always smiling and on it. I imagine thats hard when people come in thankless, unresponsive to greetings or salutations, or just in bad "I've been at work all day" moods. R keeps it light and treats every person as the individual they are and all the respect you could desire at the gym.

My second shout out goes to Jerry who I don't see often but love the vibe when he is there. He will greet you personally in the midst of peak hour through the stampede of gym bags. Other staff seem more at ease when he is here, smiling and laughing together, and that leaves a great impression.
These are the workers that keep loyal customers, full send.

Been coming to 24 hour the past several years and the best part is the atmosphere, followed by an array of equipment, pick up basketball, hot tub, pool, and steam room. I really miss when it WAS 24 hours but Covid ruined that and I hope they one day can do that again but it’s a great gym and considering it’s a 20minute drive one way, Ita well worth it. Matt is a new personal trainer who I highly recommend as well! He just got started and he’s already made an awesome standout impression, never hesitated to say what’s up and that’s the difference. Friendly and genuine guy who loves fitness and cares about YOU! He also runs cycling classes if you want to get your cardio up! He’s NASM certified as well!

This gym fails to open on time at least once a week. It is so frustrating to drive 15 miles at 4:30am hoping to be able to get in when they are supposed to open at 5:00am. I’ve been unimpressed by this gym. I’ve been to numerous other gyms over the years and this one I’ve been for about 6 months now. The equipment is older and limited, but gets the job done. The hours are surprisingly short compared to other big box gyms (doesn’t open very early and closes early). There have been multiple occasions where the morning staff shows up very late to open the gym, especially on the weekends (to the point where I no longer have time to get a workout in for the day). The inconvenience has made my experience here lackluster.

I have been a member for 5 years now and signed up for the national package when I was living in Cali. I’ve never had any problems going out of state and checking in to work out. I moved to Texas and never had any problems either however, moving to this gym has been the most difficult experience I’ve ever had to face at a 24 hour fitness. Though there are member of staff that are very friendly and very helpful. I was told that my membership was regional and not national.

This is not true because I’ve been paying for the national for the past five years so what have I been paying for? Even so I didn’t mind figuring this out. I know they’re just doing their job. I was told by staff I just needed to call my gym in Texas and let them know to clear me so I could sign up for this specific facility. Once I called the 24 hour in Texas they had let me know that the staff at the Fort Collins 24 hour facility needed to facilitate this and it became one big mess.

Eventually, this facility managed to help me sign up under my family package with my personal card to be charged $35 a month and it would be active immediately meaning they would be taking out the $35 and had never mentioned to me that I would need to pay a $59 fee. Every day I would come to the gym and it would beep, and they would just let me go in without explaining that I needed to pay this fee one day one of the members said that I wasn’t even a member which I was confused about because I had already paid for the month. None of them had let me know that I needed to pay the $59 fee.

Overall, it’s a great gym and the equipment is pretty decent and there’s a variety of it and some of the staff is very friendly, but signing in to work out has been the biggest nightmare of my life and I have never had to go through this in the five years I’ve been a 24 hour fitness. This is my experience. I know people have different experiences, but it has been a little challenging to navigate.

I'm from Oregon where there are a number of 24 Hour Fitness locations. I've been competing in triathlons for the past 15 years and have swam in a lot of pools. It is clear to me that none of the employees swim because the swimming area is disgusting. I've been swimming at this location for over 3 years and have commented on the filthy ceiling vents, discolored and stained ceiling tiles that are directly above the hot tub and pool and nothing has been done about it. It would taking emptying the hot tub and a ladder to simply pressure wash the vents and put them back. I don't have many options for swim lanes nearby and the monthly dues are very reasonable, so I deal with it, but I cringe every time I go there. The hot tub once had several strong jets that worked and now only one seems to work. There seems to be new management, so I'm hopeful my comments will spark some activity. The location is convenient for me and I usually have the pool to myself. Please clean the pool deck and replace ceiling tiles and vents. I've never seen anyone vacuum the pool deck for hair, etc. Thanks!

It is 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday, and the gym is still not open. Unfortunately, this has become a common occurrence. Rather than addressing the issue, the employee(s) responsible are given multiple chances to repeat the same mistakes. I would expect the manager to recognize this ongoing problem and take responsibility by showing up to ensure these situations don’t happen.

I estimate that roughly 70-80% of the negative reviews about this gym revolve around cleanliness and punctuality...two aspects that should be the easiest to control when running a business.

It is disappointing because I have been coming to this gym for approximately 10 years, and post-COVID, the quality of employees and management seems to have deteriorated.

Unfortunately, this review will likely receive an automated response directing me to the 24 Hour Fitness website to submit a complaint, because, of course, that’s how these issues should be remedied.

24 Hour Fitness Review

After transitioning from Zone Athletic Club (which recently closed) and trying out Crunch Fitness, I was curious to see how 24 Hour Fitness would compare. Overall, the gym has some strong points, but a few key areas need improvement.

Pros:
• Variety of Equipment: There’s a wide array of machines and weights available, which makes it easy to complete any workout I have in mind.
• Equipment Condition: Most equipment is clean and generally well-maintained. Even during busy hours, finding a machine or weight isn’t too difficult.

Cons:
• Temperature Issues: The gym runs significantly hotter than other facilities—about 10 degrees warmer regardless of the weather outside. I personally tend to overheat in these conditions, which forces me to cut my workout short or tone it down, and that is incredibly frustrating.
• Cleanliness Concerns: Compared to Zone Athletic Club and Crunch Fitness, the overall cleanliness falls short. The floors, lockers, and general areas around the equipment tend to feel unkempt.
• Unpleasant Odor: There’s a distinct gym smell that’s much stronger here than what I’ve experienced at other gyms. This is likely related to the poor airflow and lack of ventilation.
• Lack of Feedback Response: I reached out directly to the club with my concerns, but unfortunately, I never received a reply.

Final Thoughts:
While 24 Hour Fitness offers great equipment and convenience, addressing the temperature, cleanliness, and ventilation issues could elevate the overall experience significantly. With just a few tweaks, this gym has the potential to be an excellent workout environment.

I have been a 24hour fitness member since 2009. I recently moved to Fort Collins from Austin tx. I’m part of the early morning crew. I think this facility is great! People need to understand that this is a commercial gym that sees heavily use by people that can be messy. The when stuff breaks it gets fixed, when people leave a mess they clean it up. (The vacuum cleaner guy at 5am was a bit much tho). The front staff are friendly, greet me when I arrive and say bye when I leave. Has swim lap pool, pool school for kids, basketball court (with pickle ball time), group fitness classes, sauna and hot tub. Great place, I go there almost everyday.

I love coming to this location! Such positive energy and helpful employees. Vinny is honestly my favorite! Remembers what my fitness goals are and gives me new exercises to try and helps me figure out what is wrong with my form when I feel like it’s not targeting what I want it to. All in all a great place to work out.

Was coming with a friend to 24 and convinced her to move to my gym and BAM! Zone closed and left us both high and dry. The folks at 24 welcomed us back with open arms. Spencer and Anthony went above and beyond to make the transition easy and cheaper than we were paying. Thanks guys!

I’ve been coming to this gym for a while, and unfortunately, the management—particularly at the district level—has let things go downhill. The staff does their best with the hours that they have, but it’s clear that corporate oversight is lacking. Equipment is often out of order for weeks, cleanliness is inconsistent, and any concerns brought up seem to fall on deaf ears. It feels like the district manager, Lori, is either ignoring these issues or not providing the support needed to fix them. Throwing GM applicants against the wall without any support to see which one sticks is not a great plan. She is on her 3rd general manager in the past 6 months and takes no accountability for the decline in the gyms performance.

If this location had better leadership and investment from the higher-ups, it could be a great gym. Until then, I can’t recommend it. I doubt it will be open much longer.

Good gym, plenty of equipment, friendly staff. The only downside is they close early on Fri/Sat/Sun (8 PM) and are not open 24 hours.

Increasing problems with people just hanging out on machines and not working out, just taking up space.

Updated 2/15/25: decreased by a star. Paper towels and sanitizer are almost never stocked in the evenings. Ewwwwww

I have been a member of this particular club for two years. During this time, there have been 3 general club managers. The present manager, Nathan, has been extremely sensitive to member feedback and suggestions. He is visible, approachable and devoted to making the club a cleaner and safer place to workout. The pool area has improved since the pool tech, Robert has been hired; however, the steamroom needs to be addressed for consistent cleanliness. Nathan is aware of the ongoing challenge of keeping the area clean. Kudos to Spencer who works as a service team member for volunteering to power wash the area which is above and beyond his normal duties. He is one of the hardest working team members I have observed since working out at this gym. I would also like to mention Nathan's role as pivotal to making many positive changes in a short amount of time!

Literal worst place exists, extremely shady establishment. We had a membership for 3months, we went IN PERSON the office to cancel March 2024. They continued to charge us until Feb 2025. We've had multiple phone calls and went in 3 different times to try to sever ties but THEY KEPT CHARGING US. Do not give this company your card information. Save your money go to better cleaner gym!

I love working out at 24 Fitness! Clean environment, fantastic staff, and good vibes! My trainer Nicole makes every workout enjoyable and engaging. Highly recommended her if you need someone to either support or push you just a bit harder than you would solo.

Club has problems with steam room and whirlpool. Staff doesn't seem to know when things are working or not. Getting to the club at opening to have access to these areas only to find both not working for second day this week and no signs saying why. This club is old and not near up to the level of several other 24 Hour clubs I use. Sad this one is getting behind.

“24 hr fitness” and they are closing at 10 pm and 8pm on weekends lol they changed it from 24 hr because of the pandemic supposedly but it’s been like that for over 4 years now…it feels like staff isn’t interested in making it 24hrs again as it should be hence their NAME. It’s not like it’s a hard job to greet costumers to be making it close that early.

2 out of the last 3 Sundays I have shown up at 6:30 am and no one has opened the doors. Supposed to be open at 6. I wait for for half an hour and still nothing. What is going on this is getting ridiculous. There are plenty of these reviews. It looks like the owner has responded to most of these reviews and nothing has changed. Ownership must be the issue

2nd Sunday in a row (and 3rd time in 2 months) where no one showed up to open the facility. All the Paying customers sitting on there cars waiting, hoping someone will show up - eventually giving up on waiting. Over an hour the first 2 times before giving up. Only waited a half hour before giving up this morning.

UNRELIABLE! The gym supposedly opens at 5AM during the week… I’m sitting here in my car on October 8th at 5:39AM with a locked up gym. There have been multiple occasions where club team members failed to show up and allow people to workout for what we pay for. Also doesn’t help that half the equipment is broken. This gym has gone downhill. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I've been coming here for years and it gets worse and worse. When equipment breaks it takes literally months to fix. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting! Never get cleaned and have a permanent stench. All of the members and this is how you treat them? This is supposed to be a health facility not a health hazard.

This location is completely ok with having a scammer as a manager who will sign people
up and tell them whatever they want to hear just to make a sale (update: I’ve learned they’re under new management, who is just as hard to get in contact with as before) The corporate is no better. Paying for a membership at a 24 that is hardly even open 12 hours in a day is insane, especially with how disgusting it is kept. Clearly they will try to take as much money as possible and won’t give a damn about it. Cody was the only helpful person there whenever I was consistent and even with trying to help me cancel my membership. Truly pitiful.

Are you looking to bolster up your immune system? Then this cest pool of a gym is the place to do it! The staff will go above and beyond to do anything but clean the gym equipment , the bathrooms, the sauna or anything! When you go to work out, it’s like you get to live out an episode of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. You never know how many used bandages you’ll on the floor or in the pool, how many snot rags are left everywhere and how much human feces is left in the bathroom! The workers strive towards making sure the gym doesn’t open on time. So, if you’re someone who likes to sleeps in like the workers always do, than this is your gym! And don’t worry about making excuses for why you can’t work out… this gym has you covered by making sure most of the equipment is broken or so disgusting you won’t even want to touch it! If you do dare to visit this gym, make sure to bring your hazmat suite!! Cheers to the worst gym in Fort Collins!
