A Pilates Practice is such a beautiful and welcoming studio. The space itself is spotless, calming, and so thoughtfully set up that you feel at ease the moment you walk in. It has this peaceful, uplifting atmosphere that makes you actually look forward to moving your body.
Mary Liz is truly amazing at what she does. She’s incredibly intuitive—she seems to know exactly what your body needs, even when you don’t. Her guidance is clear, supportive, and challenging in the best way. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and their progress, and she has a gift for helping you connect with muscles you didn’t even know you had.
Every session feels intentional, personalized, and transformative. If you’re ready for a true whole-body change-not just physically but in how you feel day to day-this is absolutely the place to go. I can’t recommend A Pilates Practice enough!

Mary Liz is the owner of this establishment. I paid for two packages for her and during the process she caused more damage to my injured knee than improving it. It has taken me a month to reverse the damage that she had caused . I had two more sessions that I did not use which is $115 per session. Because I did not want to cause any more damage.Mary Liz was in agreement that my sessions with her were not benefiting me. I had requested a refund and she Refused she doesn't even deserve the one star that I put on here. I also am a pet owner so she would insist on spraying me down with a wet solution prior to our sessions Which was humiliating and made me feel as if I was a person with a disease.
I wanted to add an update that after her sessions I still was never ever able to walk the same so again do not let this woman work on you outside of her scope of expertise. She does not know how to correct an old injury she will cause you nothing but more damage . Also do not pay her in advance as if you find out it does not work or that she’s going to treat you with Little or no respect she will not refund your money, even when you both agree that it’s not a good fit

I am 55 years old, with a long history of chronic knee instability, pain, and weakness in my legs because of my biomechanics. I have had multiple surgeries, patellar dislocations and fractures, and muscle atrophy. However, I do everything I can to stay active: swimming, biking, and hiking (slowly) with trekking poles. I benefited a lot from Pilates 10 years ago when I lived in Tucson, and had a great instructor there. But I got away from Pilates after moving several times for my job and focusing on my career. I knew it was time to try Pilates again after I landed in the Denver area for a new job, and trying multiple physical therapists who focused only on my quad strength. I have been simply amazed and delighted with Mary Liz’s instruction and her expertise. From the first session, she focused on my footwork, my core, my inner thighs, my supporting muscles and I saw immediate results. My legs are stronger. I have less pain. My gait and my walking speed have greatly improved, and so has my balance. My core, shoulders, and upper body have benefitted too. And to my surprise, she guided me through single leg lunges, which I have not been able to do in years! I can’t say enough about how her knowledge and cues, her focus on every movement, and her emphasis on form and details have changed my life! Thank you Mary Liz. I highly recommend her!

After 7 years of chronic pain from a herniated disc and debilitating sciatica, Mary Liz, with her vast knowledge, expertise, and precise Pilates exercises, tailor-made for my specific issues, changed my life and saved me from having to have spinal fusion surgery as a young mom of 3.
The private sessions we had together at the beginning were integral to my healing journey. I transitioned to her classes after the initial private sessions and because her classes are small (4 people) I still got great personal attention and detailed cues for each exercise. I have continued Pilates classes with Mary Liz for over 25 years now and she continues to challenge me and adjust my exercises if/when a rare flare-up occurs. I am now completely pain free and stronger than I’ve ever been and Pilates with Mary Liz is always a great workout. If you are contemplating trying Pilates or have taken Pilates in the past and are looking for a new instructor, I HIGHLY recommend Mary Liz and A Pilates Practice. She’s the absolute best and her studio is beautiful, peaceful, encouraging and positive.

If you're feeling out of sorts physically, spiritually and/or mentally, Mary Liz is the Pilates Instructor for you!
As you walk from the parking lot with the weight of the day on your shoulders, into the warmth of a well-maintained and energy-filled center of health, you'll immediately experience an "Ahhhhh" as you drop everything you brought into the studio to the floor. The equipment is calling your name. You already feel positive that a change is in your future.
Then, in addition to the peaceful atmosphere, there's Mary Liz. She has an incredibly strong and genuine connection to her clients well-being, as she carefully analyzes her strategy and instruction to help you achieve measured and maximum motion.
Don't forget to breathe! If you do happen to forget, during her stroll by the equipment you've soaked with your efforts, Mary Liz already knew you forgot to breathe long before you did. She calmly instructs accordingly.
Mary Liz IS Pilates, and while I was there with her, I almost felt like I was Pilates too. Due to the level of concentration needed to successfully feel one-with-Pilates, during the session, there is absolutely a sense of empowerment.
After your session, you leave the studio feeling more limber, more connected to yourself and your surroundings, and you can almost feel the oxygen and blood flowing through each muscle. You feel stronger physically, spiritually, and mentally. You're ready to tackle whatever comes your way.
What you don't feel?...the weight of the day on your shoulders.
Mary Liz is the best Pilates Instructor around! Go. Whether it's a private session or a group session, treat yourself. You work hard and you may play hard. Either way....do it!

I tend to seek the best of the best, and lo and behold, came across this gem of a Pilates studio. I had just started dipping my feet into Pilates and was blown away by Mary Liz’s profound method of introducing a new student to the practice. Everything is foundational and no steps are skipped or overlooked when seeking true results in this practice. You get out what you put in and I appreciate Mary Liz’s intentionality in each class; providing utmost attention to detail and queuing all forms with clarity and knowledge. Personally, I give her much kudos for helping me to handle other areas of my life with the same discipline and intention. My mind and body have transformed in ways that I never achieved with other methods of sport/fitness. Although it is not convenient to travel to the studio three times a week, for 1.5 hrs round trip…the enjoyment of each class, along with its students and the benefits far exceed my expectations..making the gains outweigh the commute. Definitely a game changer for me, not to mention all the compliments I get on my physique and the confidence I now carry myself with. I love bragging about Mary Liz’s studio and tell people she has taken the time to cultivate such an environment to help others achieve goals that are life changing. One must come to see for themselves in order to experience this true form of Pilates practice.

I have consistently practiced Pilates with Mary Liz for 18 years and definitely understand the power of routine, commitment, consistency, and the continuity in maintaining my practice at her studio. She has all the Pilates equipment and I love the community she has built in her beautiful Pilates studio. I love her approach to Pilates and have built great friendships along the way too.
