Training at Alpine Training Center has been a game-changer for me. The environment is incredibly supportive and accepting—no ego, just a community of people working hard and cheering each other on. Since starting personal training here, I’ve summited five mountains, including my most recent peak at over 20,000 feet—and I’m over 50!

The programming is smart, challenging, and tailored to help you build real strength for real goals. Whether you're training for the mountains or just want to be stronger and more capable in everyday life, ATC delivers.

I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s not just a gym—it’s a community that pushes you to become your strongest self, inside and out.

The Alpine Training Center is an outstanding training facility for outdoor athletes who are looking to increase overall strength and endurance. Connie and her team’s workouts are diverse, stimulating, and best of all… HARD! I recently moved away from Boulder, and ATC is what I miss the most as it’s close to impossible to find a gym of equal caliber. The community is full of supportive, kind, and disciplined athletes of all ages and abilities. I cannot recommend this superb training facility more!

I've been going to the ATC for a few years now and I love the programming and the coaches. Every workout is different. I love the community that Connie has built and I look forward to seeing everyone each time I go. I started going for shoulder rehab and general injury prevention and it made a huge difference in my recovery. I have never been a gym person but I do love going to the ATC!

I've been going to ATC off and on for about 10 years now. The thing that love about it is the variety of programming, I really don't think I've done the same workout twice! You never know what you're in for on a particular day but you are guaranteed a great workout that will push you. The coaches and community are all very supportive; even if you are not a uber athlete like me! The people, the variety and the 1 hour time commitment keep me coming back!

If you climb, run, ski, or bike and want to gain strength and fitness this is the place for you. Workouts are sport specific. The coaches are awesome and athletes are suportive. Most important is that it is a community of like minded people who will welcome you as part of the tribe when you when you walk in the door.

The ATC has helped me to transform myself as a mountain athlete. The instructor to participant ratio, as well as thoughtful programming allows for individual critique throughout sets. Their programming accurately caters to each individual’s fitness goals, whether it be climbing, ice climbing, ski mountaineering, or maintaining general fitness for an active outdoor lifestyle. Aside from exceptional trainers and top notch programming, you will also find community in like minded people. Outside of digging deep and grinding for an hour session, Connie, the lead coach and founder, coordinates day outings and volunteer work outside of gym hours. Occasionally, they will host guest athletes or experts to share their knowledge on specific subjects such as nutrition or recovery. If you’re looking for a gym in the Boulder area, then sign up for a session to see if it’s for you. Come prepared to push yourself!

While I no longer come to the alpine training center as I no longer live in CO, to this day I’m still searching for something similar. This place formed me into my best self and I was in the best shape of my life. Connie is an outstanding coach along with the other coaches. It created a wonderful community for me and surrounded by people who are passionate about the outdoors. It’s hard work, but the encouragement you get from others is just what you need! I miss it all the time!

I've been an on-and-off ATC-goer for almost two years, and there's a reason I keep coming back! Connie and the team take care of every individual athlete here. I broke my wrist two months ago and have still been consistently engaged, training in ways that do not aggravate the injury. The programming has made me a stronger, more complete athlete. I play a lot of soccer and I feel when I am consistently putting in the work at ATC I am way less likely to get knocked over, get injured, or feel sore after matches.

ATC is a fantastic place for the mountain athlete, looking to stay fit or prepare for the next challenge. But it's also the perfect place for those recovering from injury, or someone who just wants to get in better shape. Connie and her team are amazing! The workouts and specific movements are intentional, yet also accommodating for any necessary modifications. No matter where each person in the class is--from ultra athlete to just trying to build your base--there is a communal feeling of everyone rooting for each person to give whatever their best is at that moment. You definitely can't say that about every gym. And I can't say enough good things about this gym!!! So grateful to have found it when I moved to Boulder.

Best of the best of the best. I love training at the ATC and love the community of hard working, encouraging people who also train there. Connie is an excellent trainer, and she ensures that all of the other coaches share the same work ethic, dedication and stoke. If you're looking for somewhere to be encouraged and have your goals supported, there's no better place. And it's YOUR goals that matter to Connie and the team. Doesn't matter if it's a super difficult technical objective, or just something that you're working toward personally, the team is there to support your work and your success.

The very best functional, no-frills cross training for outdoor athletes. No mirrors, TV’s, or gym rats - just a different solid workout every day, designed to build functional strength for mountain pursuits alongside a like-minded community. The ATC is an amazing gym for anyone who wants to optimize their time playing in the mountains - biking, skiing, running, climbing - and be part of a super supportive community! The coaches are so inspiring, knowledgeable and know how to push each athlete to their personal best. The small classes mean it’s never a one size fits all approach. When I broke my ankle last year, Connie created workouts for me so I didn’t fall too far behind while still in a boot. They care about your personal goals and have the workouts to help you achieve them!

Boulder has many great gyms…and I’ve tried many of them. But the Alpine Training Center is exceptional in all regards. Great coaches + Great workouts + Great community.

In terms of programming, it’s high intensity interval training. (like Crossfit, but without the 'CrossFit®-is-my-identity-and-life' culture.) In five years of training 3x per week, I don’t think we’ve ever repeated the same workout twice. Never boring. Sometimes quite hard. Always fun. You’ll probably have the best body of your life.

The gym attracts everyone from beginners to elite athletes. Regardless of skill level or background, the ‘ATC’ is extremely welcoming. No ego. No attitude. No cliques. No bros. No showers. But lots of nice people in lots of different body shapes. It’s simple and basic — You show up to work hard and then leave feeling pretty darn satisfied. Along the way, you’ll probably pick up some great friends.

The Alpine Training Center is not for everyone. Looking for smoothies? Go to Jamba Juice. Want to stare at your 'swole bod' in a mirror post-workout? Perhaps cruise past IKEA on the way home. Need lots of branded gym merch to feel committed? Well, we all know where to go for that.

But…. If you’re looking for a great gym to push hard, get in great shape, and make some good friends — The Alpine Training Center is the place!

If you're an outdoor athlete, spending some time at ATC is probably the best investment you can make towards your favorite activity, whether you want to get to the next level, reduce injuries, or simply increase your fun in the mountains. The workouts are constantly changing and always challenging. Connie, Jason and the other coaches are great at getting to know each participant, their goals and abilities, and making sure each workout works for them. More importantly, they've done an incredible job at creating an environment where people push themselves and are supportive and encouraging of each other.
