I was asked to not slam the weights down which is ridiculous I’ve only been lifting for 30 years first time I heard of this and I’m not a kid I am an engineer and know what abuse of hardware would be and that’s not it. Please don’t micromanage my workout. Further, o was using both pull down cable rows in a push pull exercise which puts a lot of strain in the oblique area and and lower back and it’s an explosive work out where you pinch and pull so lowering it so it doesn’t make any noise is nearly impossible and there’s two stacks that are landing at the same time so there is more noise than just one. Did you notice that? First time I’ve ever heard of this “compliant”. I am happy to talk about this and get to the bottom of it.

Update 11/18/2025 Do not join this club if you are a minority and try to workout at other locations than the one you signed up. If you “look” like a hoodlum then you could be marked for banning, This is what happened to me. Totally baseless accusations and zero warning. I have moved on to a much nicer club and grateful that there are non-prejudice places to work out. Zero warning banning - that is what happened to me - they make up things to kick you out since they are run by individual owners and can do what they want and their managers have to comply since they have no backbone. You gave me 1 notification that you felt I slammed a weight down - 1 notification without an opportunity to understand your policy. That tells me you went straight to banning without trying to resolve - which is a business model decision since you made no money off me since I am a Castle Rock signee. Everyone I talked to agrees that you are in the wrong. I will take
This to court if you want to go further.

1 was given 1 warning only one without a chance to understand your claim or a chance to adjust. Simply a ploy to weed out non-paying customers at your location. Otherwise, explain why I was given no chance to adjust for something I had no idea I was violating. You have shown no regard to inform me and then allowing me to adjust to something I had no idea was being reported. Simply unfair and with extreme prejudice. I had no No chance to adjust and had I been given the opportunity again I’ve been working out for 30 years at popular clubs and this is the FIRST time I was notified ever, I mean ever. So it would behoove you to show a little sympathy towards a senior to adjust - I’m sure anyone would agree a little sympathy would have been appropriate.

This is what is returned from Gemini when asked about Anytime Fitness Complaints: “Anytime Fitness has received various complaints, primarily regarding billing issues, membership cancellations, and customer service experiences. This gym has everything you need from Trap bar, hip thruster, multiple barbells, Olympic lifting platform, steps, etc. I see them cleaning frequently, the trainers are super friendly, the machines are in excellent condition and they have heavy dumbbells which is awesome! Highly recommend this gym.

I really enjoyed going to this gym off of Dublin and Austin Bluffs at first. I noticed the owner Laura was always watching me when I would work out. I brought a guest one time and I tried to bring another guest Another time not understanding her guest policy and she totally embarrassed me and was rude and told me I could not bring a guest in again.. Which is totally understandable per the rules, but she could’ve been a little nicer about it and more polite and maybe not have made a scene. I spoke with another owner at another location and he told me this was a reoccurring situation with others and I’m not the first person who’s had an issue with her. I will not be going to this gym anymore, and I will finish out my contract at another location. She definitely needs to get out of the industry or maybe Learn some customer service skills. As somebody who’s paying that much to go to a gym, she really had a nerve to make me feel disrespected and unwelcome.

This is me editing my review per Laura’s reply to my initial review . I chose this gym because it was close to home even though I have two other gym memberships that I use on a daily basis. I was trying to feel this gym out because it was cute and cozy but after the incident with you, I will be going to another location when I used Anytime fitness.
You can say what you would like and tell me that I knew the policy beforehand which I did not until the second time I tried to bring a guest. The way you jumped out of your office and come running towards me asking me if I was so and so and saying that I cannot bring a guest again was very unprofessional. You could’ve handled it differently and maybe pulled me aside and talk to me instead of doing it right in front of the entrance. I have no issue following the rules, but the way you presented yourself was unprofessional. I also have a witness she was with me and we both agreed that you were hateful and unprofessional and this is not the first time that you have been this way towards another female and we both know it so good luck to you. You’re probably used to these kind of reviews. I wish you the best.!

This AF is exceptional. The cleanliness is top-notch, with every piece of equipment and area meticulously maintained on a daily basis by its staff. I've never gotten sick at the gym, which is prudent for a prep. The vibe is energetic and focused, with no one messing around or taking photos- everyone is there to work hard. The manager, Edward is fantastic, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Showers are only available after workouts, which means no long lines during peak times, allowing for a smooth and efficient experience. Because it's privately owned, the gym is able to provide a more restorative environment, which is great for members and enhances their overall protection with tailgating or misuse. Therefore, I feel safe at 4am or 4pm. The addition of red light therapy is also a great enhancement.

Update: as you can see from the response to this review the Gym manager basically tried to cancel my membership at my home gym out of state with no notice to me. Yes they have clearly posted rules, but It didn’t even occur to me to look for rules on bathroom use on a poster in the hallway on my way to the restroom. Possibly because very few gyms have such restrictions.
If I had known this manager would be so unprofessional I would have never gone to this gym. This is all apparently because I was in the bathroom 25-30 min and took a shower before exercise, and possibly because I wrote a 2 star review.
I have been to lots of Anytime fitness Gyms that are kept just as clean, but have much more polite, and professional Management.

Clean, but one of the most control freak managers, least relaxing workout in a long time, interrupted me several times, pas aggressive notes on everything... I’ve been a member for almost 10 years at AF. The other AF gyms are much more laid back in CS, not as clean though.
