Not what I expected. For the price I paid I would've loved more accommodations. Be able to take a buddy in with me something along those lines. I also recommend reading the contract thoroughly as there are some hidden fees I was not aware of untill I canceled the membership. It was my fault for not reading it. The only thing that I loved was that its the only gym in the area that is 24 hours. Also the day I signed up im not sure if I went in at the wrong time but the person who helped me sign up was not welcoming at all. I felt like she was not in the mood to be there. I would also like to add that there is a $10 fee every time you take a buddy in with you. There is supposed to be a QR code but there is no "QR" anywhere to be seen. On top of that they made me pay for an additional month that I didnt even want. There is a reason why I canceled my membership. I didn't want to pay the $50 a month when I could pay $15 a month for 2 people somewhere else. I highly recommend looking at other gyms before making the mistake in choosing this gym and waste a lot on money.

This gym is just a scam honestly, they make ypu pay an outrageous amount every two weeks and you can't even bring a buddy with you? If you want to bring a buddy, you have to pay an extra 10 dollars EVERY time the buddy tags along. For the price they make me pay I would assume I get to at least have a buddy for free. Wrong. Aside from the outrageous prices and the fact that they take your money, the gym always smells weird. The bathroom floors are sticky, they never look or smell clean, and I have NEVER seen a janitor in the place. Other members don't even clean after themselves too. Other gyms offer a way better deals, better equipment, cleaner spaces, and are far more welcoming than this place. Don't waste your money here.

Absolutely awesome gym. The staff is awesome and they really get to know the people who walk through the doors, they're really nice equipment and a lot of it is new. AF Lafayette is a clean and well-equipped gym that fosters a friendly and inclusive environment for fitness. Ben, the gym manager is such a homie and an all-around good dude.

One time, I saw a gym bro crank the cable machine to max weight and pull too hard, which caused the entire pulley system to snap and sent the handle flying toward an innocent gym-goer’s face. Just before impact, Ben dove across the gym, caught the handle mid-air, and—without missing a beat—used it to bang out a perfect single-arm lat pulldown. The gym-goers stared in awe as Ben calmly reattached the cable, patted the machine, and said, “Controlled reps save lives.”

I was loyal to this franchise for a long time (7+ years in total) but this gym specifically made me decide to never be a customer again. I had a two year contract expiring in February 2025 and asked 30 days before my next payment for my membership to be cancelled and not be renewed. I asked because no one had contacted me about contract renewal or whether I’d still like to maintain a membership.
When I was charged in spite of being told my membership would be cancelled, I called and was told I didn’t cancel in time. Not only is this dishonest, it’s plainly bad customer service. In most cases a charge will be refunded to the customer even if they are a day or two short of 30 day cancellation, which I wasn’t.
Additionally, the manager was often working out with his girlfriend and being unprofessional - I once heard them discussing different sex positions even with my headphones in trying to focus on my own workout.

Significant improvements since it's been under new management, cleaner space, and new machines!

Shout out to one of the staff Ben! A hard worker and true hero! I once saw a stairmaster catch fire with 2 small children trapped underneath, Ben sprinted over and in a herculean effort, with one hand lifted the burning equipment and pulled the children clear!

Ben has since been awarded keys to the city in recognition for his bravery and chiseled jawline. When not benching 350, coaching, or researching cures for cancer, he can often be found handwriting his letters corresponding with the pope and Dali Llama to finally determine if there is in fact a god.

I go to this gym a lot and I cannot recommend it more, Ben one of the trainers here helped me out because I came to him with a tightening forearm and I didn’t know the issue and he helped me figure out what it may be and what I should look into to help fix it. Before you sign up for Anytime Fitness, make sure you shop around. This gym has a $200 cancellation fee, which quickly turns into almost $300 because they feel it's okay to charge you for another month even though you request a cancellation. Imagine having contracts in 2024! The staff is incompetent and never answers the phone during business hours when someone is supposed to be in the office. Their equipment is very outdated, and several machines are malfunctioning or don't work at all. They don't use any HVAC system, and the gym smells because no one except the gym members cleans the equipment. They don't clean the showers in the bathrooms and frequently don't have rags to clean your machine before or after you work out. Like I stated before, make sure you shop around before signing up here. Planet Fitness has no contract and is half the price Anytime will charge you monthly. Do not sign up here.

This gym is basically across the street from me and monthly membership is only a few more dollars than the local rec center. Anytime offers much more flexible hours (it's in the name...you can go any... time), better equipment and is never too busy or crowded. I ran out of excuses not to work out.

I have had a few failure to launches trying to get fit after having kids and I needed some structure and accountability. Ben hooked me up with a manageable training plan and solid nutrition advice. I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to get back into the gym!

Nice little gym, never too busy where you have to wait for certain equipments. Right down the street from where I live. There’s really nothing they can improve on. Paper towels in the bathroom would be an improvement as a person preference over air blower. If you get a towel holder I’ll bring paper towels for us. It’s clean, theres everything you need, as well as a shower. It doesn’t have massage chairs like planet fitness but I’d choose any gym besides them anyway.

If you live in Lafayette this is the gym to go to. It’s not worth driving the extra 15 minutes to go to VASA which use to be my go to gym. What makes a big difference is the manager. Ben is a cool dude and a friend. He always greets you with a smile and there for good conversation. He’s smart, a military guy like myself and can also give advice if you’re just starting out with fitness. I’ve been working out for fifteen years and understand the science of it. I confirmed he knows what he’s talking about.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. For starters, when I signed up I was explicitly told that my contract was for a year and after that year I would have to sign up for a renewal. That time came and went, and yet I continue to receive charges from this gym in varying amounts such as $53, $63, sometimes just $38, and sometimes as much as $115. Eventually I had to call my bank and put a hold on all these transactions because I couldn’t call this big gym and get a hold of anyone because the answering machine was full and anytime I went after work hours there was no one there that worked for the company. Eventually I even had to reach out to their corporate who told me they were going to reach out to the company and have the company get a hold of me, and of course, they never did. They eventually set my bill for $150 to the collection agency which I was surprised to find out one day. This place is full of shysters. Do not go here. There are plenty of other gyms in Lafayette with better rates who don’t try to screw their clientele. Anytime fitness and their contracts are a joke avoid at all cost.

I love the gym here. It's small enough where it's not ever over crowded and big enough to have most of the things you need to get a good workout. It's open to members 24/7 and you can upgrade to get tanning as many times as you'd like in a month! The staffing is even more amazing, they're very good at being adaptable and answering questions! If you need a gym that's available at anytime or anywhere in the country, this is the gym for you!

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The business practices of this gym are shady and unethical. They continue to charge club fees after the fulfillment of a 2 year contract. Of course the fine print says that the contract renews automatically. An ethical business practice would notify the client of this renewal as the date comes closer. To which I got a response from the gym’s representative that it’s not shady cause they told me it automatically renews 2 years ago. I don’t remember what someone told me 2 weeks ago, let alone 2 years ago. A simple email or phone call reminder of the pending renewal would have been greatly appreciated. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Signed up for Anytime Fitness in Boulder, a small but well maintained gym, and moved to Louisville 6 months later. The Lafayette location is my least favorite! Dirty, poor maintained bathrooms, equipment often broken, half the set of fluorescents turned off. When inquired about canceling membership, staff member laughed at me and said he couldn't do anything for me. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I recently relocated to Denver and very happy with my new Colfax location. Would not recommend this gym!

ZERO stars! No one wears masks, management doesn’t enforce, door has been broken for weeks! I was startled this past Saturday morning at 530am when a transient popped out of the bathroom. I was the only one in the gym. Management OWNER doesn’t care! To top it off, the place is a dump. The first thing out of Matt’s mouth when talking over all my concerns with him was “you can’t get out of your membership”. I didn’t even suggest to get out of my contract! Apparently this is the only concern for this owner. Now I absolutely do want out! Matt, you are not doing your part as a gym owner to protect your gym members or the community. I did everything I could by rearranging my workout schedule to keep myself and my clients safe before making a complaint. I tried working out at 5am but that wasn’t safe either. Do the right thing!

I've been to 5 Anytimes lately and this one is about average for the Denver area. Has most of the necessary equipment, relatively clean with the exception of the bathrooms.

Needs more weight organization. Plates get scattered everywhere.

I am new to the area and wanted to join a new gym.. I was going to join this one but not anymore. I signed up for the 7 free day trail and went last evening at 630PM. Guest doors were already locked even though they close at 7PM and no one would answer the phone. I left a message and no one even called me back. Good job anytime fitness you lost some business.

The particular owner of this location is simply not a good guy. “Matt Hammer” who is the ACTUAL owner of this facility does not know how to do business or how to treat people, better yet his customers. Matt utterly blackmailed my mother (who happened to be at this gym for over 7 years under previous ownership) with a 100$ charge simply because we wanted to cancel our accounts. I quote “since you want to be difficult, I can make this difficult also”. Overall “Matt Hammer” is a man with questionable character and furthermore not someone you want to do business with.

Love the Longmont location but the Lafayette one is definitely not held to the same standards. Most of the machines are old and rusty. There's dust everywhere. There is spit on the mirrors in front of the squat racks. Does anybody ever clean...I always feel like I need to clean a machine before I use it bc it doesn't seem like the staff stays on top of making sure people are cleaning after they use things. I've noticed just one spray bottle near the front on the gym. At longmont they have spray bottles and cloths on almost every single machine making it easy to clean up after yourself. There is also usually an employee walking around dusting or wiping things down and just checking on things around the gym. For as much money as I'm paying a month, lafayette location is definitely not worth it, I'm always bummed when I can't make it to longmont and have to use this gym.

Suggest to stay away from this facility. I was researching area gyms and recreational facilities. I talked to the owner here and he started the conversation with badmouthing other facilities in the area. It really sounded like a desperate attempt to get customers. Absolutely sales pitch oriented with no real consideration to tell what benefits might be at this facility. Again, stay clear - they probably won't be in business for long.

It sounds good at first, but they lock you into a long term contract even if you cannot use it, said you do not want a long term contract up front, or move. Trainers are very expensive. No lockers for purses or keeping a change of clothes, open cubbies along a main wall to stuff things in that anyone could grab, very few amenities, one shower in single female bathroom, one male bathroom, and one unisex bathroom. This morning at 0630 tred mill not working and no one to ask or tell. In my opinion, it's too much money for too little amenities or services.

It's really Katie Kingston. The gym has everything I need and more - it's clean and relatively quiet, with decent music playing at a good volume (not too loud, not too quiet). There's a little wood floored gym with those padded colorful exercise weights in 1 lb. increments for great workouts for the not-in-Hulk-shape members, mats, balance balls, etc., etc. - and my favorite trainer in the world, Brent Werner, is there, so that seals my deal. A neat electronic doo-hickey to have on your key ring to get in. Plenty of parking. I vote, yes!

I have been trying for a few months to sign up for a membership with Anytime Fitness in Lafayette. No luck.

A while back I submitted a request for information. I was promptly contacted back by phone. They actually called me twice in one day when I wasn't able to answer the first time. I scheduled an appointment to come in for a tour and possibly sign-up. When I arrived at the facility on a Wednesday afternoon no one that worked there was present. I knocked on the office door and waited for 20 min. No one ever showed up. I later received a voicemail from the manager stating that he had to run out to do errands for the gym, even though we had a scheduled appointment. Total lack of respect for my time.

The reason I want to sign-up for a 24 hour gym is because of my schedule. It makes it hard to come in during regular business hours. That one Wednesday was a very rare occasion. So I wasn't able to reschedule an appointment. A while later they contacted me via text to see if I was still interested. I was out of the country and unable to reply. But when I returned I responded to tell them I was still interested and we could we set-up an appointment for a Saturday. Their website says they are available from 11:00-1:00 on Saturdays, by appointment. No response. I later called and left a voicemail, again requesting an appointment for a Saturday. It's been about two weeks and still no response.

I'm left feeling like I'm begging a company to take my money. They just don't care. They lack respect for people's time and act like they are more important than their customers.

If you've had success getting a hold of someone and actually being treated like a valued potential customer, congratulations. Based on my experience, I am so disappointed. I've been treated like I'm wasting their time by trying to sign up for a membership.

When I signed up in 2012, it was great! The staff was great and then I decided to rejoin in 2015 because of my previous experience. It is just terrible now. The staff is not trained. I had a guy tell me that I could cancel anytime. This is a huge no no in running a fitness facility. The financial company that runs the monthly billings are a joke. I was charged every week. Even when I asked them to out my membership on hold, there was a charge coming out. I will not be recommending this gym to anyone.

I am 18 years old. A couple months ago, my boyfriend and I went into Anytime Fitness, saying that we were interested in trying out the gym for a month or two.

The guy we met with told us that we could cancel anytime, as long we gave them a months notice. That sounded totally agreeable. When we went to sign the contract, an area was blank, and he assured us that that was something he needed to fill out, and that we didn't need to worry about it. Turns out, he filled in a 2 year contract without us even knowing.

Being a teenager I would NEVER sign up for a two year contract. We went in to talk to him about it and he could not have been more rude about it. Unfortunately, not thinking about it, we threw away this carbon copy. He basically told us we were lying and that he wasnt going to do anything about it.

I will not be recommending this gym to anyone. From now on, I will go out of my way and tell people not to come here. Even though we are now forced to pay for this place, we won't be going there to work out ever again.

Bad customer service, and full of scamers. Shame on you guys for tricking children.

Difficult to cancel. I called up and asked when I could come in to cancel my membership. The guy said he'd be available after 3pm - but that was actually the time he left the gym to avoid me. You have to physically come in and catch one of the guys, which is difficult as well. Also, they'll try to bill you an extra month after you cancel.

I had a great experience at this gym until it was time for me to leave. When I wanted to cancel my membership I was given the hardest sell imaginable to the point where the owner, not the manager, started insulting me for my decision to leave. At this time I had been a daily member for several years.

Now, 4 months after the fact, I am still being billed. The owner denies any responsibility and the financial services company says that it's up to the owner to submit cancellation paperwork. So, it's now time for me to lawyer up just to end a gym membership that I signed out of months ago... even after the agreement to pay an extra 30 days after I left.

The wife and I took advantage of the free 7 day 'give us a try' offer while the YMCA was closed for upgrades. We gave a $25/per entrance FOB deposit that was to be refunded upon returning the FOBs.

We really liked the facility, and were considering putting our Y membership on hold this fall and moving over there for a while.

BUT UPON RETURNING THE FOBS ONE DAY AFTER OUR 7 DAY TRAIL PERIOD, WE WERE INFORMED THE BUSINESS HAD NEW OWNERS WHO WOULD NOT BE REFUNDING OUR $50 DEPOSIT.

Clearly a very short sighted decision.

I wouldn't trust this gym with one more dime of my money. Ever.

Catch is, there's a $25 Deposit for the Key, ...and they neglected to tell me that in order to get that $25 back, you need to tell them before your "Trial" expires. Sales > Customer Service = Lame. Terrible facility. Terrible Customer Service. Every time I come in, there are CHILDREN running around and on the equipment. I have complained and asked to have my membership cancelled because I cannot utilize the facility without the company of children. Don't get me wrong, I love kids and have a few of my own, but when I come to the gym to workout and release some tension, I do NOT want children on or around the equipment. It's not a daycare. Unfortunately for me, when I tried to cancel my membership I was told I couldn't because they apparently aren't required to uphold their end of the contract. It has been months since I have been in the facility. So I pay $30 a month for nothing and cannot cancel, even if I move to an area where the nearest facility is 20 minkes away. Don't waste your time or $.

LOVE this facility. Was a previous member of Lifetime that place is a total joke I see that after coming to Anytime. Nice place to work out, people with like minded attitudes that are just there to workout. No games, no gimmicks, no pressure to look "cute" while working out. They play great music overhead, never super crowded. Paul is absolutely awesome, he goes out of his way to help anyway he can!!! Prices are great too. You cannot and will not go wrong joining here if your goal is to work out without all the hoopla of a super large Gym/dating/social hour club. So happy I made the decision to jump back in again after leaving Lifetime, I was pretty turned off thinking all gyms were the same. This gym restored my faith again.

My wife and I have been members at Anytime for 1.5 years and our experience has been great. Paul (the owner) is a really good guy and has always been very attentive to us and our needs. We joined initially to go to a class that was offered and I have continued the class for the past year. My wife has since changed to a class called TRX with a trainer a trainer named Bob Wolfe. I really enjoy my class with Peter (my trainer) and my wife loves the TRX class. They have recently done some remodeling and added some new equipment which has made it even better. It is a very clean facility with more than enough equipment and a great room for classes. I love being able to go whenever I want and the monthly cost is very competitive. If you are looking for a great gym, attentive ownership, knowledgable trainers at a reasonable cost, this is your place. Check it out and see what you think, I bet you like it.

I joined this gym just over a year ago. I like it most because I can get my workout in without the usual "meat market" crap that goes on during most days at other gyms.
Paul was and is great to me. I had never been to an Anytime Fitness before. I was using a trainer at the time, and was allowed to use the gym when we had our sessions. Sort of like a "trial run" for me. Paul gave me a great break on my membership, and I have not looked back. It is not a gym that is for those that need lots of help and attention. Yet the attention is there if and when you need it. I like it most when I can get in the class room area, do my workout and get out without having to "wait" for equipment, or a class, etc....! This is a great place. Thanks Paul!

Also, some of the positive reviews I've read look a little fishy to me - like someone is "stacking" good reviews to balance their bad reviews. Someone was kind enough to write a thorough review regarding the key shenanigans and now I understand why they don't allow you to sign up online.

About the gym: The facility is spacious because they lack a lot of equipment. Some of what they have is of lower grade quality, handles too small to be comfortable, wobbly stands, poorly designed such as not allowing correct or full range of motion, etc. Some equipment has torn padding and is repaired with duct tape. They provide the bare minimum to be called a gym in my opinion.

About the service; I called looking to try the place out as you can't argue with the hours. Over the phone they said I could have 2 weeks free to give them a try. When I arrived they said they could never give 2 weeks and would only give me 1 week. I paid $50 for the key and was told I would receive $25 for the key if decided not to join, and if I did, when I left/canceled. I joined on a "month to month" basis which turned out to not be month to month at all. "Month to month" to me means; I pay for a month, my key works for a month. When I pay again my key works again. Simple. However, their idea of month-to-month is just monthly billing, of which, if you're late they hit you for at late fee which 1/3 of the cost of the product, i.e. $9.50. I was outraged and canceled after I got the first bill. They then told me they only give $5 for the key. I protested and they agreed to wave the late fee and pay $25 for the key. I paid my remaining balance and left. Later that day I came back to get a receipt for the transaction as I felt uneasy about not having proof of payment as they use a 3rd party billing company. Simply put, I wanted proof of payment on record, normal for any business transaction when money is exchanged. They wrote me out a hand receipt, the kind anyone can buy at any stationary store. I asked for something on company letterhead so I could prove it came from them. They refused and called me weird for wanting proof of my payment in full, and said I am the only one in 5 years who has ever wanted one.
