You're forced to keep items in an open cubby since they have a policy even against drawstring bags. Also, unlike other gyms, you're absolutely locked in for the whole year. what is up with the AC at this place? Everytime i walk in, im blasted with an overwhelming smell of sweat and it feels like a sauna. Even on cooler days they have all the doors closed, instead of letting fresh air in. I’ve worked out at multiple gyms in the area and this is the only one i’ve experienced this at. The employees just stand there and smell that all day 🤢 They definitely make enough money to afford AC. pls don’t be cheap.

I’ve been a member at Armbrust Pro Gym for several years now, and it’s easily the best gym I’ve trained at in the country. The equipment is top notch, especially the legendary leg room. The atmosphere is motivating—everyone here is serious about lifting but still welcoming and supportive. The owners are engaged and staff know members by name and always make you feel at home. Not much I can say about this gym that other reviews haven't, but I will say as someone new to the gym, I didn't feel out of place or intruding. Everyone was cool, doing their thing, and focused on the task at hand. That's the kind of gym I want to work out in. Update: I had a membership issue, and Andrea was super helpful in getting it resolved. One more reason to recommend the gym.

IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND THE COLORADO ATTORNEY GENERAL.

The vibes here are great but while this is supposed to be a bodybuilding gym and all he bodybuilders are supposed to be a “brotherhood” the owners of this gym clearly did not get the memo. Obviously I should have paid more attention when signing up for the contract but i was told there was just a cancellation fee. The “cancellation fee” is the remaining amount on the contract and in reality you still have access to use the gym until the contract terminates. So in all reality this gym gets people into contracts with no way out and then requires a 45 day notice for non renewal otherwise they will auto renew your contract. On top of that their “military exceptions” are ambiguous and they only make exceptions if you have orders or a DD214 which not everyone gets depending on their circumstances.

I signed up for the contract with every intention of staying in Denver indefinitely but life had other plans for me and I had to move out of state 4 months into my contract. As if moving weren’t expensive enough these scammers bent me over the squat rack I’ll never get to use again for another $360. I should have read the fine print but I didn’t realize a family owned gym would have such an outdated business model of deliberately screwing over their customers. Do yourself a favor and don’t get a contract with these people they get paid while you get screwed. I tried talking to everyone I could about this and got zero help.

This is a predatory business model and I’d love to get the opportunity to tell the owners to their face where they can stick that $360.

I’ve already filed complaints. If the BBB or Colorado Attorney General receive more complaints then they can pressure this garbage company to stop ripping people off.

Post reply edit, you strive to squeeze people for every penny you can your employee DID NOT inform me of the fact that cancellation is not permitted. Stop lying to people your lack of integrity is pathetic.

Final edit: beautiful, the Better Business Bureau rescinded their accreditation and downgraded their rating because they agreed with my complaint and I wasn’t the only complaint. These people are legitimately dishonest and predatory business. But they still get to keep my money.

Three years. I thought I had befriended the owners and staff. They let a contracted trainer with known anger issues attack me on social media DMs. Then I was told I was the issue.

When I cancelled and request to not be charged and refunded for the COCup in August as this trainer made me feel unsafe I was told hell no.

Both owners threatened me via emails and only care about the money. They dont care about you as a human. I would add photos but I think this should suffice.

Avoid these people and the fact this trainer is a KNOWN issue and then to be told “they aren't an employee”. If you pay a business $500 in rent to personal train you're a contracted employee.

Absolutely love Armbrust and the Armbrust family. It truly feels like a family here, everyone there is so uplifting and supportive. Dylan and Andrea have gone above and beyond to create an atmosphere where people feel safe, welcomed and motivated to push themselves past their limits. The trainers there are amazing, I’ve had experience with several and they are all extremely knowledgeable and truly care about their clients. Dylan and staff always keep the equipment up to date and they are always getting great new equipment. The managers and their front desk staff are extremely professional, enthusiastic and welcoming! Every time I walk in they always ask me how my day is going which just adds another layer of that tight nit community feel. If I could I would give Armbrust 10 stars! I would recommend APG to anyone. I’ve been in a lot of gyms nationally due to traveling for powerlifting comps and what Dylan, Andrea and APG has created is unmatched on a national level. Facility is small, but great equipment. Can be very overcrowded at times. Staff and other gym goers are all typically friendly. If you like the old school gym vibes this is the place.

Very outdated administrative system regarding memberships, no digital key fobs, limited hours, and no access online. Really anything a gym in 2024 should have outside of basic bodybuilding gym equipment, it does not have. The gym seems to be stuck in the early 2000’s. Great for lifting, but not for anything else such as the membership side.

If you need to cancel or change your membership, good luck. See other reviews for how difficult this business is regarding this. The business model seems to be more about how to take as much of your money as possible rather than to help the people paying for the memberships.

If you never plan to move or cancel your membership it is worth it, otherwise, good luck.

I never missed payments and then covid happened, the gym was closed down and they refused to freeze the account. The manager just demanded $170 to cancel. I had moved out of state to keep a job so there three valid reasons to just sweep it under the rug or hold off until I moved back to CO.

Was recommended this gym by my strength coach. Great facility. I'm sure the owner is an awesome guy. But I had to leave Colorado for family 4 months into my 12 month gym membership. No worries, I understand how those things go, so I told them I understand they have to charge me for the full 12 months. So after I get charged for month 13, I email and they tell me it was an automatic renewal month to month afterward, and that I needed another 45 day notice to cancel. I told them notified them 8 months ago, but they still refuse to reimburse or work with me. Its not a ton of money, but its the principal of the thing. Just felt like a pretty crummy thing to do. I already honored my end of the deal and paid for 8 months worth of a membership in a state I didn't even live in. I understand that part. But playing this fine print, "auto month to month, 45 day notice" game after I clearly stated my intentions months ago just doesn't seem right. Take it as you will.

Armbrust is by far the best gym I’ve ever been to. I live in Colorado Springs so it’s a haul to get there, but absolutely worth it! The collection of machines - eclectic, yet absolutely the best design for each function, always result in a highly effective workout (my faves are the Atlantis full ROM lateral raise and the Hammer Strength lying rear delt fly machine, among many others)The environment is absolutely supportive, regardless of level. Loved it! Great machines and lots of weight to push around (up to 150lb rubber dumbells). The gym is divided into several areas: complete upper body area, massive leg room (don't you dare skip it!), and a stretching/posing room...oh yeah, and some cardio machines. They also have locker rooms, a pro shop (to get your pwo and protein) and lots of merch.

I must say, you can tell it's a "pro" gym...there are some BIG boys in there, including some champs. When Phil H's arms are as big as large thighs...it's for real.

$20 for a day pass, but for an avid lifter from up in ski country, worth the fee for a special trip to a pro gym.

Even if you're no pro, it's still an excellent place to work out. Do it.

I worked out at Armbrust during my 3-month stay in Denver. When you get there, an unassuming strip mall exterior gives way to a world-class facility, populated with the meatiest of humans.
