I recently visited Denver for the first time and I have to say this shala is absolutely my favourite thing about the city!! Bill and Elizabeth are fantastic teachers who are generous in sharing their extensive knowledge of ashtanga theory and practice, and the space and community they have created is truly magical.

My Ashtanga home for the last 6+ years! Bill and Elizabeth are extremely warm, wise, sincere, and playful - lovely qualities to envelope the Ashtanga teachings. The student community is sweet and sincere. I’m SO grateful for this shala!

Such a special place! Elizabeth is a sweet, conscientious and patient teacher who makes the practice work for you, rather than jamming you into a rigid Ashtanga-shaped box. The vibe is great, the space is full of light and heat and breath.

What a unique experience! Such a refreshing change from other studios. The Saturday intro class was an absolute treat. Our teacher was really focused on helping every student learn. It's not just a workout. Great if you want to deepen your yoga practice and broaden your horizons. I learned so much about breath and alignment.

Amazing experience. Not a corporate-type place, very personable and welcoming.
I go infrequently, but always feel welcomed and like everyone there is family.
I strongly recommend Ashtanga Yoga Denver!

After one class I already love this place!! I went to the intro class and was greeted by smiling faces and a welcoming atmosphere. I was intimidated to try ashtanga but Elizabeth graciously welcomed me in, and I was blown away by the class and her attunement to each students’ particular needs. Can’t wait to go back for more Mysore classes. This place is the real deal!!

I was fortunate enough to be able to practice with Bill while in town for a work trip. Ashtanga Yoga Denver is a beautiful studio that I’d love to visit again. Bill’s adjustments were very effective and he guided me to new depths in several poses. I hope to visit again some day. Namaste, Bill! 🙏🏼

As a Wisconsinite who visited the studio in October 2019, I've been fortunate to practice with Elizabeth and Bill virtually throughout the pandemic. My practice has blossomed under their care and instruction. I highly recommend AYD to anyone who has ever practiced Ashtanga or is drawn to it — Elizabeth and Bill will guide you with skill, knowledge, compassion and humor.

I'm excited to highly recommend Ashtanga Yoga Denver! Elizabeth and Bill provide thorough and specific cues, and are able to deliver cues in a super positive and compassionate way while also challenging me to progress in my practice. I find them both extremely knowledgeable and professional. All week I look forward to attending their led classes on Saturday mornings as well as their Monday workshop classes.

Elizabeth and William are devoted teachers who genuinely care about your progress through the practice. Not only the physical side, but also your philosophical and spiritual development. AYD has been offering their classes for free virtually during COVID which has been a such a gift. Truly grateful to have been welcomed into this community with such warmth even over zoom.

AYD started offering virtual classes as a result of Covid-19, making the practice extremely accessible and a way to feel connected during a global pandemic. I have a deep gratitude for Elizabeth and Bill as I have experienced profound changes in my practice through these virtual classes. They create a supportive and encouraging environment for each student to develop intuition to deeply explore their own practice. This experience has been helpful in feeling more grounded, connected, and inspired during this difficult time. After trying many virtual ashtanga offerings, I have found a "virtual home shala" here and look forward to each and every practice.

Work this magical, light-filled place into your day - it's worth it. Surrounded by a dozen happy people, I practiced Mysore here one day (with Brianna) and led primary the next (with Elizabeth). Everyone was welcoming & pleasant. Brianna and Elizabeth were insightful and knowledgeable & gave excellent pointers and assists.

As a visitor to Denver and early in my Ashtanga journey, I enjoyed the Mysore class a great deal. I felt welcome and Michael, the teacher, was very helpful and considerate. I will definitely return next time my travels take me to Denver

Did my first ashtanga class today and I can say I am pleased by the class. Wasn’t too hard but was challenging. This was a beautiful decorated practice with charm and character, the energy is perfect and I can’t wait to learn more about ashtanga itself. I am excited and feel empowered as a women by the instructor and owner Elizabeth herself. It takes a lot to have a business and also be a great instructor. I hope to learn from you. Thanks for being my teacher today.

Elizabeth is amazing. She was very informative and helpful. I was originally so nervous to attend and had emailed with her, and she consoled me and in class gave me amazing directions and adjustments. The studio it's self is so beautiful and gives a great feel for the spiritual essence I was looking for. I will one hundred percent be back in this studio!

I took my first Intro to Ashtanga class today and it was lovely. Upon walking in we were greeted and welcomed by the students and instructor. Elizabeth was a great teacher. Her instruction was a nice blend of explanation and adjustment. Every direction was followed up with a "why" as in "why it should be done that particular way. The atmosphere was easy and welcoming. We were encouraged and congratulated for asking questions. The space was both bright and cozy at the same time. I can't wait to be back!

If you want to become a more loving, disciplined, and healthy person, I recommend trying ashtanga yoga. Ashtanga is totally different than other types of yoga you might have done before. I knew I wanted a yoga home in Denver, and tried Kindness, Yoga Pod and Core Power before settling into Ashtanga Yoga Denver. The instructors here are thoughtful, beautiful people, the space is serene, and the practice is great for building strength, flexibility and inner peace. If you're just getting started, I highly recommend the Intro to Ashtanga class on Saturday mornings.

Ashtanga Denver is the most incredible yoga studio I have ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot). When I walked into this place for the first time, I felt so welcomed and knew this place was for me. I have done hatha yoga for many years, but this was my first time doing Ashtanga. I took an intro workshop, and it was very informative and helped me to learn the differences between Ashtanga and other types of hatha yoga. Elizabeth tought the workshop and was so sweet and helpful in everything that she taught us/told us. Since starting my Ashtanga practice I have continued to go to this studio and have learned much about the practice including the asanas and so much more. This place has changed my life in such a positive way. I’m so grateful to have found this place. Thank you for everything Elizabeth, you are an incredible person and have created a beautiful space.

I payed $20 for an intro to ashtanga class. In a 1hr and 15 minute class we did all of 15/20 mins of yoga. I was actively told not to use a strap when I needed one. I am frustrated with paying for a class where I did no yoga at all. I will not be returning.
