This gym has benefited me in many ways. The coaches are skilled at supporting you as an athlete (now I call myself an athlete!!) and the members genuinely lift each other up. As an older athlete I used to think injuries were a part of pushing yourself, but I haven't been injured since I started here almost 2 years ago. My skills, strength, and endurance have improved more than I could have imagined at this time in my life- juggling so many things. I contribute my mental clarity, career growth, and calm teenage parenting to my self care that includes 4-6 days a week here!

My husband and I were on vacation eager to visit this gym just simply based on the amazing reviews and how close the gym was to my relativesβ home.
We visited 2 classes with different coaches. There was also a manager both times. We found the community of people to be nice as well as the coaches to be friendly but the manager was a bit rude and short with us. We did NOT feel welcomed by her and she seemed very irritated that we were visiting, maybe she was having an off week.
The coaching was okay, always friendly, but not professional.
The coach on the 2nd day sat down at the computer as we were working out, he also took out the trash and was not active on the floor.
He then decided to workout WHILE we were also working out. Completely turned off by that. His job is to coach during a class.
I usually do not leave a negative review but completely floored that gyms still run their classes this way. Letβs do better.
The community was wonderful and maybe we just were in a class that was not like the norm but was hoping for a better experience.

Drop-in. Very very spacious. Probably the largest box I have ever visited. They have showers. Larry likes to turn up the hard rock music! Always fun to connect with fellow CrossFitters while I am on the road.

In my opinion, this is the best CrossFit gym on the south side of town. The programming is exceptional, that really excels your growth as an athlete. For those who need scaling options, the coaching staff is very knowledgeable in their profession and cater the scaling to meet you where you are as an athlete. Plenty of equipment for all athletes to have what they need to complete the workout. Facility is always clean. Coaching staff is respectful of your time. Private showers available which have always been clean. Thank you all at BackCountry for all you have done for me as an athlete. Unfortunately my work involves me moving around the metro area periodically, but if I am south of I-70 in the future, no question I will be going to this gym again. Hope this helps makes your decision for what gym to join!! You won't regret joining BackCountry.

Iβve been a member of Backcountry CrossFit West for a little over a month now, and I couldnβt be happier with my experience.

I dropped in for 3 days while in town visiting family and was pleased with the whole experience. The coaches were friendly and knowledgeable (and forgiving as my sea-level self tried to get some oxygen out of the Colorado air). The gym is clean and well laid out, and I loved that subsequent drop-in days are less expensive. I will definitely come back next time I am in town.

Incredibly welcoming place for beginners! Just starting CF at age 55 and choose BCCF because they have a class specifically for beginners. Class starts with icebreaker question to get to know one another then the workout is clearly explained and demonstrated with variations for differing levels of fitness. Workouts aren't easy but BCCF meets you where you are, and works with you, to be the best you! First class is free and there is a beginner rate so no excuse not to try :)

I came in to visit this gym while up in Denver - WOW what a great workout! I was so impressed by the facility and everyone there was incredibly friendly. I was used to Crossfit style so they didn't really need to introduce me to anything, but it was very open and welcoming. I got a great workout in and enjoyed my time there. I will definitely be going back next time I am in the area!

Coaches at BCCF are great and the people who work out there are welcoming - it's a great community, making the workouts fun. I'm learning a lot, getting stronger, and losing weight. Love BCCF, knew we would! My daughter is the youngest athlete there (11), and she absolutely loves it, sees how strong she's getting, and learning positive and healthy body image from the strong women she sees everyday. She is in the beginners class primarily because of her age, but Coach Zoe sees her strength and potential and pushes appropriately and safely. The community is open, friendly, and supportive. Huge thank you to Lauren for opening the doors to us.

I only had to use their bathroom and I was told to "not do anything weird" I felt profiled. When I came out they were rude to me saying that im not allowed back. Horrible customer service. I have been to multiple gyms and none have ever banned me for using the restroom. Dont waste your time and go somewhere else.

I love this gym so much! The staff is caring and patient and have really worked to help me learn CrossFit skills. The nutrition coach is fabulous - she teaches new habits and never makes me feel "guilty". I was super out of shape when I started and am now feeling strong and capable. And bonus, everyone at the gym is starting to feel like family!

This gym has not only made me stronger, but has made me healthier as well. They say that weigh-loss is 20% exercise and 80% nutrition. Well the coaches at Backcountry have definitely shown me that that is true. Initially weight did come off when I started working out, but not to the extent that I wanted. Once I took their nutrition challenge, the weight really came off! Once I saw the results, I knew this was the answer to keeping weight off. The community at Backcountry is positive and welcoming. If I don't go several times a week, I miss my friends and coaches. They are like family!! <3

I started CrossFit several years ago mainly because my husband wanted to try it and I had failed at my efforts to βexerciseβ at home. At first I wasnβt so sure about it because I felt so weak and incapable of so much. But having a coach that actually knew my name and cared that I learned and grew, felt so amazing. It felt different than other gyms I had been a part of because, although there were some serious athletes thereβ¦I never have felt judged or intimidated by them. I am able to set my own individual goals for growth and health and not compare to others in a negative way. It is not glitzy or pretentious in any way and I do appreciate that. The coaches I have had at Backcountry have all been so knowledgeable, kind and caring. I am always encouraged by them and always leave feeling better about myself for having accomplished something difficult for ME. I now look forward to seeing familiar faces and I know that I will be missed if I am not there, which keeps me going. I love that the workouts are always different. I have also been able to benefit from nutrition coaching which has helped me stay accountable. I love that the emphasis is on health for life and not getting to a specific weight or something. As I am βolderβ than many that go to Backcountry, I often think my CrossFit days are numberedβ¦but then I am able to modify and make it work for me. I love that about Backcountry.

Technically I am not a member of this facility, my boss is a member and is kindly paying for the challenge to eat healthier. While I am limited to what I can eat due to having gastric bypass surgery, this program has helped me to get back to basics. My water intake is up and I'm eating more veggies. Everyone is encouraging and kind. I highly recommend this facility.

If you are looking for a gym with: great training, great coaches, good equipment, and lots of room to workout in then BackCountry CrossFit is the place for you! I stopped in to take a look around and I had the opportunity to meet with Lauren. Lauren was great and has a very upbeat and positive attitude. She asked me what my goals were, really listened to me, and explained how they could help me reach them. Lauren gave me a tour of the facility and showed me the equipment options. She didn't rush through the tour and answered all my questions. Lauren was not aggressive in trying to sell me on a membership. She allowed the product to sell itself. Although some of the gym is still under renovation I think the finished product is going to be great. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff that I have dealt with so far is very friendly and knowledgeable. The environment is welcoming and you don't feel out of place. You can come in with a ton of experience or none at all and still be able to thrive here. This is not your typical Crossfit location. The staff truly focuses on ensuring that the movements are performed correctly and help you grow while keeping you safe. I had an opportunity to attend my first and third Intro to Crossfit classes with Robin. Robin couldn't have been nicer. She was extremely knowledgeable in her craft and was eager to help me meet my maximum potential. Robin was also very patient and kind. Robin is licensed in Nutrition. So I signed up with her to help coach me in nutrition also. In my humble opinion if you're going to do one you NEED to do the other. I took my second Intro to Crossfit class and it was taught by Greg. Greg is was super nice. He was extremely knowledgeable and focused on helping me to reach my goals also. Greg was extremely patient and took time to help and explain things. I have always played sports and worked out in some compacity, but CrossFit is a whole new ballgame. I am glad that I choose BackCountry CrossFit and would definitely recommend it to my: family, friends, and co-workers. Great job guys!

I'm writing this on behalf of my 11 year old son who has been going to BCCF for a month or so. My son has been having a blast with coach, Miss Taylor. He loves how she is tough and fun as well as encouraging. He has made some new friends and I can tell he is getting stronger too! This program has been great for a kid who has had less Phys Ed this year due to a disrupted school year. We appreciate that BCCF has a program for pre-teens that tailors CrossFit for this age group and makes it FUN, too! So far, I have been very impressed with this place and appreciate the timely communication and dedication of the staff.

Dropped-in week of 07/13/2020. Great communication from Lauren upfront before coming into Backcountry. Super impressed with the MASSIVE space - seriously Iβve dropped-in to many boxes all over the country and this is the largest, most equipped gym Iβve ever been to.

Completely new to CrossFit going in. This place has been wonderful showing you the right techniques before ever doing a workout. They have a beginner portion that you can take to get up to speed on things. Once you are, you can start dropping into the regular classes. Amazing workout, I leave drenched in sweat after every workout.

BackCountry CrossFit is amazing! I did it for a year before going off to college. I was new to CrossFit and didn't know much but they go through all the movements and work with you or modify where needed.The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The instructors teach you proper technique that allow you to gain confidence in the workouts you're doing and I could see a difference in my strength throughout the period of time I was there. Highly recommend.
