It's incredibly hot, they allow too many people in the classes (I don't need to touch strangers or have them sweating on my mat), they won't allow you to pause your membership and they don't take feedback from customers or instructors seriously. If it weren't for the awesome instructors I'd already be gone and I'm definitely going to look into other options when my annual membership is up.

I absolutely fell in love with this tiny hot yoga studio thanks to Vanessa and John. Both guide the class through the lens of reconnecting with the body, mind, and emotional state. I also really appreciate the donation-based approach.

I love this studio. Laura Jean’s classes are so well rounded and fun. The music, the flow, encouragement makes for a really special vibe. I feel very comfortable doing whatever level of yoga my body can do without judgement. I highly recommend Laura’s class if you are looking for release in your body and your mind.

I haven't taken a yoga class in years due to Covid and personal matters, but I am so happy I came to Black Swan yoga. My friends and I wanted to try something new, and we all took Devon's Monday flow class. I have never felt so relaxed and centered in such a long time. It was a sensational experience! I highly recommend RSVPing sooner than later because the classes can get filled very fast!

Was in Denver for a weekend getaway and I decided to check out a new studio and I am so thrilled I did! Black Swan Yoga its a lovely studio near downtown and a 25 min drive from where I was staying but worth every single penny! I had the pleasure of taking classes from Sarah, Kylee, and Enchante and they were each an amazing instructor. Classes were always full and I can see why, finding parking was always a bit tricky so make sure you have plenty of time.

Lovely studio with great instructors that make for fun and challenging classes. It gets very busy on the weekends and their customer support can take some time but it's definitely worth a try.

I had a frustrating experience with Black Swan Yoga. While they advertise as donation-based, I was required to pay $12 online, which felt misleading given my financial situation. The studio itself seemed nice, but the large mirror in the room made me uncomfortable and added to my stress.

The instructor was kind when I got emotional and had to leave, she assured me I could get a refund if I emailed her. However, when I followed up, I was only offered a free future class, which was disappointing since I have no plans to return seeing as I've realized yoga is not for me. My biggest issue was the way the refund was handled—it felt dismissive and added to an already uncomfortable experience.

This studio may be great for others, but it wasn’t right for me.

The class was overall very good. I thought the instructor this morning was phenomenal. I really enjoy the donation based drop in session idea. Even the location was great, despite parking chaos. Close to a few good post yoga food/coffee hot spots.

However, we were packed in like sardines with the door closed, everyone breathing on eachother, and bumping into one another constantly, with no room really to get a good work out. I think during respiratory season, the class spots should be cut by at least 5-10. It was too much, it felt like a Japanese subway ride. I will likely come back, but maybe on a weekday.

I moved here two years ago and this has been a staple in my Denver life. I have been coming to this studio for the full 2 years, about once a week, because I am a class pass girl on a budget. But I really love taking classes here. Everyone is so friendly and the instructors are great. My personal favorites are Erica and Laura Jean.

I just moved down the street from Black Swan and started attending classes. I have been practicing yoga for 5 years all over the country, and I have to say that this studio is incredible and has some of the best instructors. I attend Brandi's class every Monday and is the best way to start my week. She is an incredibly experienced and talented teacher, who clearly cares about her students and their practice.

I love taking classes with Laura Jean at Black Swan Cap Hill. She maintains a nice pace - integrating fun, strength, vulnerability, and a deep connection to the body. I always leave feeling more in tune with myself and my surroundings. Thank you LJ for creating an inspiring and supportive environment.

Love this place. Classes can get full but as someone who never signs up before and always arrives just on time they always make space. Beautiful community of people and stellar yoga with so many different instructors and styles.

Edit: I NEEDED to update my review to reflect that Laura Jean's classes are the absolute best. I walk out of her classes a better human physically and mentally :)

First and foremost, most Black Swan Yogis are amazing. Sadly I’ve had several poor experiences here.
1. A couple classes of 100% N word & misogynistic songs was totally offensive
2. They were incapable of canceling automatic payments. Took 6 emails to straighten out
3. Had an undisclosed grievance about me which they refused to explain and lied about source
4. Upper management and owner Aubrey Marcus team failed to mediate situation. Ironic considering Aubreys take on justice in the world

In closing, if you don’t emulate Black Swan’s hidden mandated enlightenments you will be canceled. I was exiled by an undisclosed grievance, without, due process or an opportunity to grow.

As a believer, it requires everyone to be whole, I find this behavior from leadership concerning. Yoga is “union”, yes!? No ‘unity’ at BlackSwan.

The craziest thing is the class in question was lovely. I shared a few accolades for the instructing yogi. We hugged (w/ consent) and I went on my way with a huge smile. 20 minutes later I received a call banning me. No explanation given. Any further discussion refused. Leaving me with ‘emotional damage’

I am so happy to have found black swan and my favorite instructor; Laura Jean! If you're searching for a yoga teacher who seamlessly blends expertise with compassion, look no further. Her classes are a sanctuary of peace and fun, where every posture feels like a journey inward and she plays the BEST music! Her guidance extends beyond the mat, leaving you feeling not just physically rejuvenated but spiritually uplifted. Grateful to have found such a gem in the world of yoga!

I am prone to more spiritual yoga but took my first HIIT Yoga class called Power Flow and it was honestly so much fun!!!

The studio was pretty diverse and we all laughed and just had a ball. Christopher was teaching. As a black bodied woman I rarely ever see other black women practicing besides at Urban Sanctuary so was pleasantly surprised.

I have honestly never had a yoga workout that wasn’t just vinyasa so I really enjoyed the creativity and enthusiasm.

Am already booked to go back again and the sliding scale is great for when you have more and can support others and the times when you need a little support in caring for yourself.

Really great experience.

Black Swan is such a lovely studio. I recently moved to Denver and have been doing yoga for about a year and was excited to get back to class. Ive done 3 classes so far, and they've all been fantastic. Laura Jean is such an engaging and invigorating teacher. I went to the Wednesday hip hop class and had such a good time. Everyone there is so nice and I can't wait to continue attending class here :)

This is the best yoga in Denver because of the many experienced teachers. I love how Lindsey, John and Erika instruct in a way to constantly grow my practice. Laura Jean is great for beginners. Christopher delivers a wonderfully chill candlelight class. It’s a great community.

It would be nice if the website was more specific about which locations do not have a lobby. It was a bit jarring to walk straight into the studio my first time.

The first few classes I attended were great. I attempted to go to a class recently. When I signed up it was about 15 people which was perfect, and as I got settled more and more people showed up, and soon enough it was nearly 30; it felt very crowded. With everyone talking it was a major sensory overload so I got up and left.

It would be nice to have some sensory friendly classes that max out at like 15 people.

Edit per Owner response:
Parking was horrendous - I showed up 20+ minutes early and had to circle around multiple times to find parking and ended up walking in 4 mins late to find that there is no lobby (as compared to the Houston locations) thus I ended up awkwardly walking into a fully started class. Once I got my bearings and walked across the room past at least a dozen people in session to put away my belongings and then back to my mat. The class was great. Samantha was amazing! Just wish more thought was put into the location as a whole to make it a more inviting experience. Note - was super awkward seeing pedestrians walk past staring into class vs curtain set up in other locations that help avoid such

This was my first time at Black Swan and I’ll certainly be back. Aysia was so welcoming and has a calm, peaceful presence about her. She guided us through a type of yoga I’d never experienced: Ashtanga. It was a bit challenging but I loved trying something new and seeing how my body & mind react. The space was filled to capacity but there was still plenty of room to safely move about and keep things safe for everyone. It was such a pleasure and I’m already ready for next Sunday’s session. 💙💙

Love BSY! So happy to have a donation-based studio back in Denver. All the instructors have been kind and welcoming, and the flows are always unique and challenging. The Cap Hill space is so fun too. My only small critique would be the number of people they pack into classes, especially in this weird post-covid world. There have been times when I'm basically smacking my neighbor in the face, and it makes flow classes a little uncomfortable. Despite that, I would still ( and do) 100% recommend BSY to anybody looking for a studio.

Black Swan Yoga has been one of the greatest places I have ever stumbled upon. They popped up on my ClassPass, just three blocks away from where I live so I decided to try a class. Loving the first class, I decided to sign up for their first month offer at the time (50% off). Not even a month later I committed to their 200-hour teacher training (something I NEVER saw myself doing). BSY offers a community of teachers and students who are so welcoming and accepting. I love seeing so much variety in their classes and I’m not just talking about the types of classes they offer. I have yet to come across a studio that attracts people of all experience levels, incomes, genders, sizes, and reasons to practice yoga in the first place. People feel comfortable to come as they are and explore in directions they want. The classes range from restorative to power with everything in-between and have classes from 6am to 10pm. I may sound over the top in my praises, but I speak truthfully and urge you to try a class for yourself. Thank you BSY for creating the space and community I never knew I needed in Denver <3

Monthly membership is supper affordable, and I look forward to their January challenger! Also, it is donation based, so pop in and best downward dog 🧘🏽‍♂️🤟🏾

I love BSY. Donation based yoga that is accessible for all!! Super clean studio with lights that make you feel like your practicing yoga underneath the stars. The teachers are all unique and provide an experience for everyone. I can move my body in a safe space while quieting the mind and build community. I feel supported, strong and loved every time I walk into the studio. This studio does a lot of cool events that bring people together and support our local community. They also have awesome fitness classes (Hot Onnit) and chill classes when I need to reset and restore. I did yoga teacher training with BSY and I have learned how to transform obstacles into opportunities and I have made deep connections that feel like family. I have been to a lot of different studios, but BSY just hits different. Thank you Black Swan for creating a space that makes me feel like home.

Despite a online schedule that states the studio is open and has a list of classes to choose from as of 1/1 they arent open. The site allowed me to book a spot on a class that doesn't exist. Also for any females going to classes the studio is located in the middle of a homeless camp. There is no parking lot so you'll have to park on the side street and walk through the camp. Had I shown up to a later 6 or 7 o'clock class I would've been in a potentially dangerous situation, walking down a street with little to no light posts through a homeless camp with closed shops on either side. I don't say this to shame the homeless but to make others aware of what could potentially be a dangerous situation. Also not able to contact the studio about my questions/frustrations because there is only a corporate line that isn't open today.
