When planning a bachelorette weekend in Boulder we knew we wanted to include a group Pilates class! We had a hard time finding a place to do this until we came across Bolder Pilates. They were amazing to work with from start to finish. They emailed me back right away and scheduling a time for our class was a breeze. I worked with Donna and she was the one who taught our class too. We had an amazing morning at the park with Donna and she was so fun and easy to work with especially for beginners like us. Can’t recommend Border Pilates enough if you are planning a bachelorette trip in the area or just looking for a fun way to hangout with the girls!

Boulder Pilates was a great experience! I was in town for a conference, and took a 10am class with Lexy. She was incredibly welcoming and helped me productively improve my form. We worked out our backs and deep lower core and I was pleasantly sore the next day :)

Bolder Pilates is truly an amazing place! I had never done pilates before coming here, and I was able to learn the basics through private lessons which prepared me and made me comfortable to take the group sessions. I've been practicing pilates for about 3 years now and have recently started practicing at Bolder pilates! It's a lovely, clean studio. They offer a wide variety of levels, times and teachers. Boutique studios like this one can be hard to get into, especially for someone who works during the day. I have absolutely loved Melissa's jump board class on Mondays- giving pilates a twist and true challenge by making it a little more cardio demanding. Di is a lovely teacher as well, very thorough and experienced. I can see that my pilates will only continue to deepen as I spend more time working with these lovely teachers! I highly recommend it!

I’ve been to many Pilates studios and classes from here to the east coast and am happy to share that this is the real deal!

The studio is easy to access (from any direction in town) and has a large parking lot. As it’s just off the beaten path traffic and parking constraints are not an issue.

The studio is sparkling clean and there are always refreshing beverages to enjoy if you forget your water or tea at home. Sometimes there are treats too!

Forgot your socks or want a stylish new top or leggings? They have those available too!

Bolder Pilates has also been known to have fun events over the years - some in studio and some in local parks.

Hooks near the entrance as well as an area for footwear lend a homey feel and let you stow your stuff nearby when attending class.

While my first and fave instructor was Lexi I have met many others over the years. The owner, Donna is also a wonderful, knowledgeable, motivating and welcoming instructor.

The group classes I’ve attended had about 5-6 students. Being in a class of this size ensures not only wonderful personalized instruction but also our safety which is very important and often overlooked at studios that just pack em in like sardines. Instruction is clear and the knowledge and expertise the staff have of the musculoskeletal system is evident.

Incorporating Pilates into my wellness practice gives me a better sense and strength of my center, posture, and peace of mind. With an improved posture I feel on top of the world and ready to tackle whatever life throws at me next.

From the 3 intro classes forward I became absolutely hooked by the studio, the staff, and the strength I felt growing in my body.

Already an athlete, the teachers at this studio took me to the next level in my sport and in my whole body wellness.

After my long-time pilates studio closed in Boulder, I tried a few locations around town. I was looking for flexibility in class styles, class schedules, and instructors. I wanted a studio that‘s foundations were built on breathe, stability, elongation, and core stability. You can get a cardio burn in the Jump classes, for sure, but I am here for the stabilizing balance that Pilates brings to my body and my lifestyle. Bolder Pilates has it ALL! I find all the instructors to offer something unique - some classical, some modern - but all kind, aware, and thoughtful with movement. Even a seasoned student will learn new things each class. Classes are intimate with about 5 or 6 students per class, yet package offerings are affordable (for Pilates)! I cannot recommend Bolder Pilates more! Join us!

I was a customer of this place for about two years. The Pilates instruction was fine, but the tone of the studio was pretty dysfunctional. I’ve lived in the Boulder area for decades and am a former teacher in Boulder Valley Schools for 25 years. The attitudes of the instructors made it seem like a club where some don’t feel welcome. The overall feeling is that it’s sort of a private studio for select customers, and because of this I was actually excited to switch to Zoom lessons when the pandemic hit. There was also major turnover in instructors while I was there and so I was always working with a new teacher. I know there are many Pilates studios in town and I would try a different one because the tone here is not desirable.

My husband and I were customers of this place for about two years. The instruction was good, but we ended up leaving because the environment felt toxic. The feeling we got from the women who worked there, as well as some of the other patrons, was of a sort of sorority atmosphere. If you don’t fit into the sorority, it’s a rough place to be. There were several instances where my wife felt like she was being judged by the employees and in some cases, by the other customers who were “in” with the instructors. The atmosphere didn’t feel welcoming and we would not recommend this place for Pilates instruction. There are better studios to choose from where it doesn’t feel like a popularity contest.

Bolder Pilates is amazing!!! All of the instructors are knowledgeable and committed to serving their clients in the highest. I do classes and privates, and find it helps increase my strength, flexibility, and helps prevent injuries.

I have been going to Bolder Pilates for over 12 years. Donna and company are second to none! After only doing in-person instruction, I was skeptical about trying sessions in a virtual format during the COVID 19 pandemic. Boy was I wrong! The virtual classes are in some ways better than in-person. I feel like Donna is talking directly to me during the Zoom sessions. She is able to modify for us as needed even over Zoom. Some of the most challenging classes I've taken have been via Zoom. Even virutally, Donna is able to balance challenge and support which has always been one of my favriote things about Donna. I am looking forward to returng to in-person sessions but I have not missed a beat by participating in the virtual classes. Simply the best!

Every class blows my mind every time!. Its such a good deep work out but literally recovers my body at the same time from the extreme HIT work outs I’ve been doing and running. My knees were killing me before the class and now they feel so much better. I absolutely LOVE Boulder Pilates! I started going there when I was 34 weeks pregnant and have been going ever since! They were so great at modifying both for my pregnancy and for physical limitations. I have been active my entire adult life. I’ve also suffered a lot of injuries, which created dysfunctional patterns in my body… and pain. Boulder Pilates has helped me re-integrate my body in a way I wasn’t sure was possible. I've had experiences at numerous fitness centers (Barre, Orange Theory, and typical gyms) but working with the team at Bolder Pilates has been a wonderful experience. I've been doing private sessions with both Emily and Dani for the past few months. At first I wasn't sure about splitting my time between two instructors but it has turned out to be really beneficial. Both are very knowledgeable and pay close attention to form. I started at Bolder Pilates as a total newbie to pilates. To be honest, I was not quite convinced that I could actually do challenging exercises with a bad back. Emily S. took me under her wing and has been my biggest cheerleader as I progress through this journey of healing. Over the last few months I have felt measurable improvements in my mobility and flexibility and I owe it all to Emily. She is able to tailor exercises to my specific needs and is very conscientious about making sure that each move is challenging but not stressful on my back. Her never ending patience and encouragement keep me going even when I feel like I'm making a fool of myself.

I would highly recommend this business for those who have considered trying pilates but were too intimidated or too afraid to walk into a yoga studio with no prior experience. Emily and the other instructors have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and supported.

The ladies at Bolder Pilates are not only amazing instructors they are also just amazing people. I came in with fairly severe sciatica and a couple of injured joints and Donna and Lexy did an amazing job figuring out what I could work on to strengthen my stabilizing muscles and fix my issues. In May when I started I couldn't walk more than half a mile, much less run or hike. Now, in September, I just climbed Longs Peak and ran a 5k with NO pain. I can't say enough good things about this place! On top of everything else I also look way fitter now than I ever have. I've been working with Lexy for about 4 months now with incredible results. Like most Boulder, 30-somethings, I've been in and out of physical therapy, orthopods, and private/group gym training and classes as the result of a active lifestyle. Most of those focus on pain management, not long term corrective exercises and strengthening. I've never had such focused and isolated muscle strengthening like I've gotten and Bolder Pilates. The ability to not workout from a script but rather build a session based on how I'm feeling that moment and adjusting in real-time when posture, pain or kinematics dictates is incredible and effective. I've never done anything that has been so beneficial to my skiing and cycling. Looking at results, there really isn't a bigger bang for the buck in town. Additionally, it's served as a great way to combat the negative effects of a office/desk day job.

My body takes a major beating! I finally booked sessions with Donna, and am so glad that I did.
