Tired, crowded old facility without enough room to do free-standing exercises and weights. Expensive and downtrodden compared to VASA and Planet Fitness. Doesn't open until noon Sundays.

Joined for access to a pool for my daughter but the pool is always in use by classes all day every day including weekends, so we were never allowed to use the pool except for the short 30 minute class my daughter was in.

The facility is clean and the pool is great, although it would be nice if the hours for lap swimming were longer. I am giving a 3 star review because your front desk staff is rude. I am visiting from Arizona and have a national membership. Twice I have gone there and been lectured about "You're using the wrong bar code reader" by the rude front desk people. This isn't a great way to greet visitors to your city and your YMCA. My facilities in Arizona are much friendlier. Can't wait to go back next month. Oh well, never liked living in Co springs and glad I left for the desert and friendly people.

We just finished up summer swim lessons here. I just want to say that literally every single person on the staff that we had interactions with were the kindest, most helpful people. I can’t thank Mr. Johnson, the swim instructor, enough - he taught my son confidence over everything else and I am beyond grateful. Love this YMCA and will be back for more swim lessons in the fall!

So today, for Mother's Day my husband and I took our 2 kids to the pool, part of the YMCA and let me tell you, it was an awful experience. We were only able to be there for maybe 45 minutes until finally we gave up and walked out. The entire time we were at the pool, we were being stared at by the lifeguards like we were on trial. Every single time we walked into a room and walked out for a split second. They shut down the room completely ( hot tub and Kid pool) 2 of the life guards were absolutely rude to my oldest daughter and my husband on 2 different occasions. Every time we tried to do something involving the pool, they had an excuse stating that they put too much chlorine in, meanwhile, there were older gentleman inside the pool, swimming like nothing was wrong, I felt almost bullied the entire time I was there. My family and I were really looking forward to going swimming today, and it was completely ruined by the staff, and unfortunately, there's not very many places here in Colorado, you can swim in peace, so we were very disappointed and will not be returning back. I truly think if a place is gonna charge as much as 90 something dollars to 100, something dollars than they really need to fix their places are seriously have a talk with their employees, because Obviously I'm not the only person with problems with the employees.. Do better!

My husband signed us up for a Balance class. I'm 72 and wasn't sold on the idea that I needed it. Wow, was I wrong! The three J's ...Jackie Jennei & Jessica did the Simple test at the first class. I was surprised at how much it exposed my deficiencies in maintaining my balance. Falling and breaking a hip can I have tragic consequences. I'm a retired nurse who did orthopedics at one point, so I've seen firsthand the consequences of a fall on health and quality of life. I'm writing this review because the class is excellent but more important. The instructors truly deeply are invested in improving the quality of life for all of the people attending the class. We only have two more classes, and the last one will evaluate the improvements we have gained in balance and mobility. Both my husband and I have seen a measurable increase in how we feel about maintaining our health and independence as we age. We will share our experience with people we know, but I hope this review will make the powers that be invest in advertising this essential class more broadly. We want to thank you all for providing a beautiful place and talented people in our path. God bless

Great sized gym. Great views of the mountain range. Great classes & instructors. Loved the people in the step interval class. AMAZING! The equipment is new. The good news ends there. Hot tub(too much chlorine, enough to burn my eyes & sinuses + soap that lathers up. Temp varies 100 -106) & 2 pools. A couple of people walking two deep on the running track, against gym rules, are too aggressive. I spoke to 2 employees walking the gym in the hopes they'd say something. No. They both told me to report it to the front desk. Got pushed against the railing, no apology. Made me "very" uncomfortable. It's not unusual to have 14 people on the track. Two side X side walkers seem to be the problem. Everyone else is just there to work out. Not enough fan ventilation. It's too hot! Intense sun pours through the windows. The equipment along the wall is only availabIe if you have hired a personal trainer & are given a code to enter. No sauna, steam room or massage chairs. You can drop your little kids off in daycare, then watch them while working out, they're on camera for everyone to watch. Not my cuppa tea. Found several gyms I like better. I'm glad for the bad experience, I really have found my niche at several other gyms.

This is my second time to have Jackie Griffin is my personal trainer.
I have a lot of physical issues that affect my balance and walking gait.
At the present time I use a cane and am very afraid of falling.
Jackie is working with me on strengthening my legs and my stamina. She is very patient, and uses a variety of exercises each time we meet. I have an hour session with her each week.
She is the best!!

I’m a member only to play racquetball. 50% of our court time has been taken. Our group of players had no input into the decision. We’re told just go “downtown”. Well most of us live in this area. Downtown is not a great option. There’s not many places we can play anymore. It is so unfair!

I've been working out at the YMCA for a little over 2 years now. I love doing Zumba so I'm appreciative of the availability of the different variety of classes they offer. Having access to the eGym is perfect for those who come in & get overwhelmed with all the equipment; you just scan your bracelet & proceed down the line of 10 machines. My personal trainer Jackie is amazing & has the ability/knowledge to change up the workout when I acquire a new physical injury (outside of the gym). She's able to find ways to challenge me during the workout without causing more injury & still have a great workout. So glad I joined.

Let me start by saying this is not a 1-star review of the entire facility. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and kept up. My husband and I are in our 50s. We recently rejoined after being away for many years.
We immediately rediscovered our love of racquetball. It is a fantastic cardiovascular, full-body workout with excellent mental health components. We are both right-hand dominant and play 15 min of every session left-handed to help stave off cognitive decline.
We have met so many nice folks playing here and are truly inspired by those in their 70s and 80s who are moving like they’re in their 40s and 50s which says a lot about the health benefits of this sport.
We would very much appreciate the Y’s consideration in NOT converting the back court into yet another area for children. It seems there are plenty of areas and activities for kids. Instead, why not encourage younger folks and kids(!) to try racquetball. We’ve seen kids playing and loving it. We’ve also been watched by curious kids many times!
Thanks for listening!

I am not one who usually writes reviews but at this time I feel it is very important to express my opinion.
We have been members of the YMCA for 20 plus years. We brought our children to the nursery, swim lessons, and various activities. Over the years as they grew, so did their interests. My husband and I both enjoy playing racquetball and all 5 of our children have played with us throughout the years. Now we are empty nesters and we still play 3-5 times a week. I wonder how long this will last? To learn last week that 1 of the 2 racquetball courts will be being repurposed is A SHAME! The YMCA offers 2 courts for the whole north end of the springs area and now they want to take one away. WOW!! Racquetball is a community of people who share interests in a sport, community and friendship. Why not repurpose another room in the gym being there is ONLY 2 courts for the whole north end.
Its saddens me to realize that my INTERESTS and my REASONS for joining the YMCA are NOT IMPORTANT!
The sign posted on the court door thanks the members for understanding, I don’t feel understood! I feel tossed aside, unimportant and disregarded.

The following text was sent to the YMCA management as an email regarding the usage of racquetball courts.
Greeting
I have been a YMCA member for over thirty years. One year, during the membership drive, I had my picture taken and was on the radio. The message that was played on the radio was, “The YMCA is more than a place to exercise, it is a community.” I love being a member.
Racquetball players are more than a group of people who enjoy the sport; they are a community. One of these community members offered to teach me racquetball, which has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. I am genuinely thankful for the members’ presence in my life. We have a ninety-year-old man that we aspire to be at his age.
The community has times with lots of players and times with fewer players, just as the weight rooms, aerobics rooms, etc., have periods that are not used. I have been in classes with three members.
I have known some players for decades. The group knows the names of their spouses and children. We have had to attend several funerals for revered players. The turnout for funerals has always been a large group of players. Players have hosted parties at their homes.
Respect, honor, and friendship between players have built this community. Closing the court will negatively impact this community. The YMCA’s greatest asset is its community. I could discuss so many types of interactions that reflect this fact.
I would ask that you reconsider the court changes and allow the racquetball community to continue without being negatively affected.
Also, the sign on the court door thanks the member for understanding. We do not understand why the YMCA is impacting this YMCA community.

Update Two: 3/5/25
The light and heat are still broken. The average temp in the court for December was between 53 and 57 degrees. i have seen families come to play, only to leave 5 minutes later because the court is too cold. The heat has not work properly for 3 years. If you mention it, you are told to be patient. We pay $150 for a household of 3 people. Slightly less than the other two options in the area, but not a big difference. The main reason we kept the Y membership is because they offer racquetball. They have decided to just close court 2 and have told members to drive downtown if the want to play racquetball. This is not a daily option for most people who live on the North/East side of town. Driving downtown is not what we signed up for. I have ignored the conditions of the Y because it is basically the only option to play racquetball. The condition in the men's locker room is not good. It is dirty, it smells bad, and the floors by the urinal and toilets are usually wet/flooded. It is not pleasant. I avoid using the locker room because of this. There are times it would be nice to change or shower here, but I do not because of the conditions.
The booking app is not working. It can take several dozen attempts to book a time. Most times it just gives error messages. I was told to uninstall app/change app filters/etc. None of those suggestions work because the app is broken.
I realize this is an NON-Profit but we have been paying $150 a month for years and supported the YMCA during COVID and most racquetball players chose to keep paying our dues even when the Y was closed. I have donated additional money to the Y. It is sad that they are making it difficult to play the game we all love and the reason we joined the Y. Concerns have been ignored for years. Sad.
Update One: 10/12/24: This saddens me to update review but this Y has been sliding. There is no heat in the racquetball courts. It has had problems for two winters. We have mentioned it several times. Also the lighting is out in court 2. It's been out for over 2 years. Still can play, but it's tricky to see ball at times. Now they are using court 2 as storage. They have 2 large open rooms that are seldom used that could be used for storage. Now they have announced they are closing court 2 for good. The lack of maintenance and cleaning has gotten bad.
When I mentioned above problems, I was told to be patient. I was hoping the problems would be addressed, instead of staff being annoyed. How are problems going to be fixed if you don't address them???
Fix heat
Fix lighting
Fix storage
Fix reservation times
CLEAN LOCKER ROOM
The bright spot of this YMCA is the "on the floor staff". They are helpful and nice.

My family and I have been going to the Briargate YMCA for almost 20 years now. It has been great, but in recent years, it has degraded as far as quality and cleanliness. They are now shutting down racquetball courts to accommodate other activities. We go to the Briargate YMCA specifically for Racquetball coming from Monument and now they are shutting down one of the racquetball courts. We don’t use the bathrooms anymore because of the cleanliness and we don’t shower because of the lack of hot water and cleanliness and the constant urine smell. I have seen that there are many other rooms that are not used and under utilized yet they insist on shutting down a court where there’s only two of them at this facility. In addition, they increased their cost of membership thus making it more expensive than the surrounding facilities such as VASA and Gold’s gym. If you’re looking for a facility that supports Racquetball I do not recommend Barrogate YMCA.

The Briargate Y offers a welcoming atmosphere, well-maintained *NEW* equipment, and a great variety of fitness classes. The staff is friendly and supportive, creating a community feel that makes exercising enjoyable- not intimidating. Whether you’re into strength training, cardio, or group workouts, there’s something for everyone. The facility is clean, and the amenities—like the pool and basketball courts—add extra value, especially for those rain or snow days when you need to get the kids active and out of the house! It’s a great place for all fitness levels, all ages. Parents night out, Y family events, and child watch are added bonuses!

We were told that all YMCA's are connected, so out of convenience we left our account open while we moved. We found out that while they are all "connected", they are not connected financially. I am not sure why the personnel are not trained to identify that they are not connected financially, but even more so that when customers ask about it in relation to moving why the personnel are not upfront about not being able to transfer membership to another YMCA out of state, or at least ask if you are moving out of state or not. Rather, they just rehearsed that we could change our membership, then collected a few hundred dollars from us. Sadly, this was only a fraction of the problem. This is in relation to the YMCAs of CoS.

Enrolled my daughter in swim lessons. Went to 5 of the 6 lessons. Skipped the final one. Very little progress was made. My daughter still had very basic problems with just putting her face in the water that was never addressed properly, which just meant that each lesson she was just further and further behind the other kids. Enrolled her at Emler swimming school instead. 15 minutes at Emler, and she's dunking her face in the water. Sticking their face in the water for a set time is part of the curriculum and progression. My daughter said they were not permitted to dunk their faces while the instructor was working with other kids. They just have to sit there and watch. If your kid is afraid of water and lacks experience, I would avoid this YMCA for lessons.

I had a very disappointing experience with referee Jack Miller. His behavior was extremely disrespectful throughout the game. He constantly made biased calls and showed a clear lack of professionalism. His attitude towards the players was condescending, and he often ignored legitimate concerns raised by the teams. Overall, his conduct was far from what you would expect from a fair and impartial referee. I would not recommend having him officiate any future games.

I recently attended a basketball game where Jack Miller was the referee, and I was extremely disappointed with his performance. He made several questionable calls that clearly favored one team over the other. His lack of consistency and apparent bias impacted the flow and fairness of the game. Additionally, he seemed unprepared and often hesitated before making decisions, which caused confusion and frustration among the players and spectators. Overall, Jack Miller's officiating was subpar and detracted significantly from the enjoyment and integrity of the game.

The Briargate Y is great! They recently re-opened the gym after installing all new equipment. The new "functional free weight systems," (probably not the correct term) were initially a little overwhelming, but I gave them a chance and decided that I don't miss the traditional machines at all. To the Y Team's credit, they did move most of those older machines to a separate area, which will definitely soften the switch for some folks. I noticed right away that there are attendants on the floor enthusiastically assisting with orientation. It's a busy place for sure, and it's undergoing some changes, but it feels like home when I'm there. Love it! Keep up the good work!

Unbelievable waste of time! Nice facility but poorly organized. I am from out of state and called to see when I could swim. I was told the hours.
Upon arriving, however, I was informed that they do not offer day passes, meaning I had wasted my time and effort due to their poor communication.
I suggest a gym or pool that values your time and provides clear, honest information.

This Y has been perfect to hold me over until I return back to my home state. I love that there is always one side of the gym open for basketball during most times, and even better is that there are dust mops left out for the basketball players to use in case the court gets dusty.
If you are a basketball player, this location is far better for that than the First and Main location.

I’ve been going to the YMCA regularly, around 3-5 times a week, and overall, it’s been a good experience. The staff is the standout feature—they are always friendly, professional, and approachable. They do an excellent job maintaining a positive environment, and their dedication to making members feel welcome and supported deserves recognition. It’s rare to find such consistent customer service, and for that alone, I’d recommend this location to anyone looking for a supportive gym atmosphere.
That said, the facility itself shows its age and is in need of some major updates. The gym is smaller compared to other fitness centers I’ve been to, which can sometimes limit your options, especially during peak hours. Many of the amenities, like the showers and locker rooms, tend to break down frequently, which can be frustrating. Parts of the building feel like they’re falling apart, and there’s a sense that it’s been a while since the place received significant renovations.
The pool and jacuzzi are nice features, and I appreciated having them available, but they, too, are beginning to show their age. They could both benefit from modernization or at least some upgrades to make them more enjoyable for members. Having these amenities was a plus, but they would feel even better with some attention to maintenance and repair.
One of the main reasons I stopped going is that we’re moving to a new area that doesn’t have a YMCA, otherwise I probably would have continued my membership. The convenience of the location was another big reason I used it so often—it’s hard to beat having a gym close by, even if it’s not perfect.
In summary, the staff makes this gym worth recommending for those who value a friendly, community-focused environment. However, if you’re looking for the latest equipment or more luxurious facilities, you might be a bit disappointed. The building feels heavily dated, and it could benefit from some investments in repairs and upgrades. That said, if you’re okay with the older feel and want a supportive environment, this is still a great option.

The parking lot needs to be redone. PERIOD. This is absolutely the worst parking lot I have driven on in Colorado. Briargate YMCA potholes are actually a danger to their patrons and general public. I have witnessed gym members attempt to fill the holes with rocks from the landscape area due to the state of their parking lot... Please send me the contact info to the general manager of this YMCA to further discuss the future plans to repave this parking lot. If needed I can also provide the review with pictures upon request. I can NOT believe YMCA has allowed it to get this bad. I hope this is addressed and taken seriously. If not I will take further action to address this issue as a firsts and
fore most safety hazard and is not handicap friendly and poses serious risk to members in wheelchairs and assisted devices. I look forward to hearing back at your earliest convince with an update.

We’ll be cancelling our membership. This is not a family-friendly facility for kids with special needs. We haven’t used our membership for 4months and we thought YMCA Briargate is worth visiting, BIG MISTAKE!
You guys can justify it whatever you want, but I believe two pools shouldn’t be for swimming lessons alone. We paid same monthly fees so I don’t buy these excuses. The mgt. could’ve plan a more better strategy for it.
Also don’t wait for my boys to be in the actual pool before being told it’s not available. It’s called disrespectful and tripping. It’s hard enough raising a kid with special needs more so to be denied to what will meet his sensory needs.

I purchased a personal training package. 6 days go by and I call to get a refund because no one reached out to me to schedule or set up my first session. The front desk person said, "Oh, I'm sorry no one contact you, I'll tell the manager you want a refund". Why couldn't the front desk person refund my money? They were able to take it. Also, another day has gone by and I haven't heard from the "manager". At this point I assume I'll have to process a charge back with my credit card company because this location will happily take your money but not return your calls to get a refund.... The manager called me today and told me she processed the refund yesterday. Why does it take a negative review to get any response from them? Why didn't she call me yesterday to tell me she was processing the refund? This location lacks basic communication and customer service skills.

I get it that they want to go home but it is only open from 11 to 4, not that long of a shift. Even as I was leaving the gym they were yelling at me to get out. Hopefully the manager sees this and talks to them. For anyone wondering go to the tri lakes y, they are much nicer and a nicer gym. It may be another 15 minute drive north, but it is worth it.

You can tell by the reviews here and the lame responses (instead of just fixing the issues) that they just don't care. It's sad, they could be so much better with just a few minor changes. Weekend hours are terrible, the pools are constantly closed, they don't post the gym schedule on their website or app.

Enrolled my son in flag football, he's never played before, doesn't know plays or terms, 1st practice, coach intimates and humiliates him in front of whole team, and threatening him not to make him upset if he doesn't do a play correctly. I contacted sports administrator, requested to switch teams or refund. She wouldn't do neither, all she said was she sorry he didn't have a good experience......yet they get to keep my $. My kids were year round in sports, but not taking any chances, if coach is a jerk oh well nothing can be done. Their website states no division in abilities, and it's to build confidence, yet this coach made my son feel less then.

Tracie is a terrific personal trainer! Our first visit was using the In Body machine and weight training, and I already felt very supported in my fitness journey.
It is very clean... especially the locker room!
I saw a review about a room where someone was kicked out of, and I'm assuming that's the training room, which I believe there is a sign that reads only for personal training use.

Im so frustrated! They keep randomly closing the pool. So today we hired a babysitter and drove to the Y to swim. We confirmed with 2 ladies at the front desk that the pool is open until 6:45 pm.
used the emachines first then changed into swimsuits walked out to the pool and the lifeguard announced the pool was closed and told us to leave. Now I can’t swim again for 4 days. We are paying $119/mo for frustration
I love the eMachines and there’s an elliptical bike that also works arms that I love, unfortunately they have Fox News on the TV and I leave my workout feeling angry. I asked them to change it but they won’t. I always look around and no one else seems to be watching it, but for me it’s like a train wreck that I can’t look away from. These are all things that could be easily fixed. I hope they eventually do.

If you're prepared to see your child drowning in the swimming pool, during the swimming class, you are in the right place! They don't ask anything about your kid if he enjoys swimming pool if he knows how to swim or took classes before, or any other important information about that, even in the first class. The only thing what about they are interested is if you paid for the lessons. For sure they don't have safety procedure guidelines and, if have, are pretty hidden, nobody knows about that! The instructor was unprepared for that, the classes are boring and a mess! It's a shame what you offer... Don't waste your time and money and, especially, your kid's safety!
Editing (September 30, 2022): after talking to the aquatics director, he has taken extra care to have one more TA in the swimming pool and keep the kids together during activities. I appreciate the attention to the situation because we are talking about the kid's safety!

When I called this place with a question back in May I got a seemingly endless ring only for whoever picked up to immediately hang up. Their pool hours constantly change. I went in to ask if that was the case and the front desk staff said “uh no its been that way since June” when I had been out of town since before June. So just expect disrespectful interactions all around if you have a question. There is no redundancy on equipment if one machine goes down, since the weight room is the size of a large kitchen. So if you want to do quad extensions and it’s broken, that’s it. All of these are relatively minor inconveniences though when compared to the jewel in this place’s crown: the reeking stench of old urine in the men’s restroom. The smell of the men’s restroom is one of the most disgusting characteristics of this place and it is as enduring as their commitment to strange pool hours/availability. I know they probably try to clean it as I have seen staff do so. Yet the smell somehow endures. There either is a lack of enthusiasm to remodel or repair the source of what is caking on this smell or the management here is severely neglected by initiative at all from up above. I’m still not sure why I contribute extra to the Y if, despite all of their lofty programs and charitable initiatives, they send their underprivileged recipients to urine-infested facilities such as this one. They have the resources. They got this new Ignite Health program complete with its own equipment. There isn’t a lack of resources. Higher leadership at the Y is allowing these facilities to get out of control and trying to distract from it with querky new feature-based equipment and programs. Meanwhile, the smell of rotten pee festers in perpetuity the moment you come into the restroom.

Things are randomly closed with no notice, the swimming instructor made two of my kids cry. They are terrified of the water now. The manager offers zero help and just suggests that we cancel our membership. They won't do anything to make things right.
We have had so many problems here, way too many to list. Please avoid this place at all costs!
Edit: thanks but no thanks YMCA. I already dealt with your management and they sucked. Why would I waste my time reaching out again?!? If you are going to refund my membership for the last 6 months I'll happily spend my time giving more constructive feedback. My time is not free.

I'm not sure what has happened in the past month or so, but prior to that I would come home from USAFA do about 45mins to a hour in the pool and head home and it was great! Some days you'd have to share a lane but mostly you had lanes to yourself. Recently though every time I've showed up either the pool was closed or limited to 1 lane at the 4:30pm hour? And what's worse is the 1 lap lane that is open often is full of Children playing in the lane instead of doing lap exercises.

It’s unfortunate that Kasey (membership director) is so quick to cancel members instead of resolving issues, Heidi being the learn and play director for the issue I had (gave more excuses than resolving the issue) my kids were turned down because they were at capacity while Sandy the learn & play lead was laughing at not having room for my toddler but having room for my infant and preschool aged child while in the toddler room they only had 7 little ones with four adult employees present. I had even expressed to Sandy how if they became at their actual capacity I could’ve been called and I would’ve stopped my workout to get my little ones but instead she continued to have a little giggle over how she couldn’t take my kids while parents were in picking up their toddlers (so their numbers were continuing to drop) Sandy needs to be properly trained on how to deal with customers because she is unprofessional and clearly a liar about being at capacity with four adults and 7 toddler kids. Posting a photo of how they still had one opening in their Tots room. Please be mindful when hiring employees that they don’t lie in parents faces and consider not having a director who makes excuses for her employees that are clearly liars. Photo proven.

I've been going here for 3 months because it is so close, but I can't take it any more and I switched gyms.
1. Very limited weight equipment, 1 squat rack and 1 squat/deadlift platform total. If someone else out of the 200+ people here is deadlifting, you won't get to.
2. You get bumrushed by children from the highschool and they are always in your way. I was squatting once in the squat rack and had a kid bend over right into my bar path and I almost squished him.
3. The old people are so rude. They take all the sanitary sprays with them instead of leaving them for comunity use, and they block equipment while they catch up with their war buddies.
Not a good gym if you want to use it as a gym or lift weights or do anything productive rally. Great gym for chit chatting in front of equipment or playing tag with your buddies around the gym

This place used to be so great but now since Covid even with the less restrictions it is hard to get to the gym with limited hours and being closed on Sundays. With the limited hours you can imagine how hard it is to be able to swim or use equipment! Everyone is there because the only center is only open for 4-5 hours. Sadly our family joined another gym so we could have more options for times to work out during the day.

The front desk staff has always been very helpful and friendly. My kids first swim lesson was great. However, they fill up fast and you have to register months in advance. Unfortunately, my experience with their lifeguard, Nathan, was not so great. He not so kindly asked how old my son was, then said he could not use the hot tub. That was fine. And I got him out. However, I had looked for a sign with age requirements BEFORE he went in (to warm up from his swim lessons), and was only able to find a sign with the hours. I explained to Nathan that they should be clearly posted outside the door so people would know, and he pointed me to a sign in the corner that was impossible to see, even in the room you can't notice it. He obviously missed the point. Instead of passing my suggestion on to his boss like I asked, he thought it was better to argue and keep pointing to the sign you can't even see. This really put me off and if the swim lessons and front staff were not so good, I would not be back. We usually go to Cottonwood but they don't offer swim lessons. At Villasport, my son was old enough, and their sign was visible BEFORE you got in the hot tub. If you want people to know the rules and follow them, then have them posted where you can clearly see them. Especially for new people not familiar with the rules.

Great facility the frustration is finding child care slots. The staff says to get on when it opens but it is very difficult to get a slot for two different age groups. Perhaps a cancelation policy for the folks that continually cancel their child care last minute; taking the slot from a parent who would actually use the time, on a regular basis.

Great customer service at this neighborhood YMCA. We continued to pay our membership dues as donations when they closed in March 2020 (pandemic). I assumed that my dues would continue to be be donations when they opened back up since I didn’t use the facilities per military orders. I appreciated the efforts of Mr. Corey Calcote, Briargate Executive Director, and Ms. Shannon Rauen, Director of Development and Planned Giving. They communicated well and worked with me to turn my dues into tax deductible donations and freeze my account for four months. We’re excited to return when conditions allow.

We chose the YMCA because of its family atmosphere and childcare. I have a 6 mo and it is important for him to have quality care so I can work out. I was called in because he was being fussy no big deal babies are fussy sometimes. However, when I go into child watch there are 6 babies all screaming my child in a bouncer with another baby holding onto the side screaming directly into his face. All of the babies where screaming with staff just standing around watching not lending a hand to the one girl in the baby section who was changing a diaper. I’m very upset with the experience and will not be going again to this location. If you have younge babies I would not either.

I enjoy this YMCA very much. However, they need to revise their men's locker room policy.
The current policy allows a father or guardian, to bring a 4 year old girl into a locker room full of naked men. This is unacceptable, there are provisions for families at this facility. I am extremely uncomfortable with this and am sure others are too. Please review and correct. Thanks
