I was a member of this queer community gym and appreciated the trainers and the supportive environment. The gym was closed overnight with no prior notice and is no longer open to the public. After the closure, the owner posted cryptic countdowns, issued selective communications, launched new websites, and later removed much of the gym’s online presence.

The owner later stated that the gym was never a business and publicly blamed the queer community that had supported it. The situation was handled in a way that left many people confused and disappointed. I recommend approaching any future projects by this individual with care and awareness.

Chin Up is by far the best gym I’ve ever been to! I’ve been a member for over a year, and every single coach is so kind, easygoing, and supportive! I had very little weightlifting experience prior to coming to Chin Up, and I so appreciate how willing everyone was to answer questions, demo what we were doing, and provide actionable feedback every workout! On top of that, everyone who attends classes is also wonderful, and it’s so nice to be part of such a fun and supportive fitness community! I appreciate that this is a genuinely body-positive gym, and I’m so grateful to have found it!

I cannot hype this place enough, or overstate how much I love this gym!! As someone who has never felt comfortable in gym settings, I was immediately welcomed and made to feel comfortable. I’m now consistently coming to classes and working out in ways that feel achievable and sustainable to me! It’s actually been a game changer for me, and I’m so grateful for this place + its community. Shout-out to Ren specifically, who is an incredible trainer!

Found my favorite gym in Denver!!

Chin-Up has it all: fun vibe, a great & welcoming atmosphere, clean facilities, professional trainers, community events, local artist pop-ups, and so much more. My body feels strong and I love the option to go to both a class or an open gym. If you’re looking for a gym, this is your spot.

I've been going to Chin-Up for about 3 months now. After kind of writing off group fitness classes entirely ages ago, a friend recommended them to me. I was delighted to find a welcoming little community with encouraging, strength-focused instructors.

I'm getting stronger, yes, and that feels so so incredibly amazing, but Chin-Up is also simply a nice place to *be*. Its mission is paying off in the people it attracts, who help create a space that is safe and without ego. It's a really special place.

Chin up has an incredible team of personal trainers providing top notch gym classes and one-on-one instruction. Ren, the owner, is committed to providing a safe, community centered environment for working out for folks who might not feel as at ease in other gym settings. I've been attending for 3 months now and have never felt as comfortable in a gym as I do here! This is a welcoming and inviting space, highly recommend your try it out!

Chin up is amazing! I went for the first time today and felt so welcomed and included. This was my first experience at a gym and although I felt intimidated at first, Ren eased me into working out seamlessly. I feel more confident about working out in the future. it's not as bad as i thought.

I also found the space to be clean, which is important to me. Thank you for having me, I will most definitely be back!

Honestly, I have some much love for Chin-Up and the community I have been slowly building. I was never really one for weight training and not so sure about rejoining a class as a plus-sized person but chose to try Chin-Up knowing I needed the class structure to push myself to come in regularly. I have only been a member for about six months but am so proud of the progress and changes I have made through the support I have gotten here. Rach has been amazing and such a great cornerstone for my experience; I have really appreciated the fine tuning and support from Jayd on my movements and lifting; and I love Ginger's enthusiasm and energy every class I have had with her. I went from never doing barbells to lifting around 200lbs in 6 months time and I look forward to see how far I can go. Can't recommend the gym and the trainers enough!

I used to dread working out and now I get bummed about missing morning classes and laughs with the beautiful community at Chin-Up. Rach is truly so gifted at creating a warm, inclusive environment, and supporting folks in accessing the strength they need to meet their goals. They are incredibly knowledgeable about how to accommodate and explain things to meet each person where they are at. Working with them for the last year has really transformed my relationship to fitness after a lot of medical trauma, and it has been so cool to be a part of a community where we all get genuinely excited to see each other grow and do badass things. 10000% recommend

Rach is such an incredible trainer that I now not only go to the gym regularly, but at 6am no less! They are the best cheerleader, always encouraging, and know exactly how to push you to keep pushing yourself. I’ve never been in better physical shape. But honestly, the community of Chin-Up is what makes it truly stand out—something I’ve never found at any other gym. If you’re thinking about trying it out, don’t think just do it!

This place is the best! Feels like a community more than just a gym. The trainers are awesome and can cater the classes to every individuals needs and skill levels. This place has been great for helping me break into heavier lifting and will definitely be returning.

This place is awesome. As a masc person, I was worried this would be another queer place that leans femme and I wouldn't be able to strength train at a higher level. I don't think that's the case at all. You're basically getting small class personal training for a crazy affordable price. You will get worked at your experience level, whatever that is. Rach was able to push me to more physical limits than Crossfit because of the small class sizes.

I am a 72-year-old retired high school teacher. At a family reunion last August, I voiced my desire to travel more, welcoming either or both of our daughters as travel companions. ‘Get fitter first,’ they said. OK then.

I was feeling weak and wary. Two years ago, I tore one ACL, then Covid kept me at home, and I live with arthritis. My walking radius was about two blocks and I felt that my knee shouldn’t be stressed, so I walked gingerly.
Admittedly, my physical and mobility limitations were affecting my mood, as well.

Once I agreed to the idea of working with a personal trainer, one daughter sent me a link to Rachel’s website. This was all new to me. Rachel and I settled on a schedule of 20 visits to my home.

During the course of our sessions, I became noticeably stronger and more agile. One day, as I exited my building, I began walking with longer strides – as I used to. Muscle memory and strength were returning! Today, I walk as often as I can and I am working on lifting a carry-on bag up to an overhead compartment.

One daughter recently mentioned that April is a good time to travel. Goals met! My mood has improved considerably and my self-confidence has grown.

Rachel is a masterful personal trainer and I appreciate her so much.
She is easy to work with, listens attentively, and was very encouraging and enthusiastic about my progress. I am amazed that the goals we set were attained within our scheduled sessions. Thanks to Rachel, I have learned to take on more responsibility for my own fitness and to set new goals. I am looking forward to living a more interesting and independent life.

I turned 75 this year and have been participating in Strength Training with Rach for over 2 years. It has paid off! My PRs recently include dead-lifting my weight (115 lbs.), and holding a plank for 6 minutes. I feel younger and am living a more active and interesting life. Amazing. You’re never too old!
My two secret weapons? Rach’s enthusiasm to motivate me, and consistency. Sessions with Rach are welcoming, varied and fun.
I encourage anyone to begin their own journey to strength with Rach.
PS—my daughters and I spent a couple weeks in Europe this past Spring. We walked everywhere!

I have been training with Rach since November 2022. After years of struggling to stay in a consistent routine of fitness I discovered that maybe it wasn't a lack of discipline on my part but that I hadn't found a trainer that made me fall in love with growing in terms of my personal fitness, until I found her. Rach is a breath of fresh air in a world filled with toxic trainers that are solely focused on weight loss. She is encouraging, not pushy and really leads her classes/individual sessions with love and respect for her clients. Rach coached me through my first fitness competition and I could not have done even remotely that well without her support and cheers. If you are someone with fitness experience or just looking to accomplish a fitness goal, you've found the right trainer.

Extremely unreliable in communication, wouldn't waste my time at this place, Rachel will just ignore you, had appointments for 8:30am, then 9:15 and rescheduled both times and now no communication👎👎👎👎👎what a joke

I’m a 63 years old woman who haven’t exercise on a consistent basic is years. Started working with Rachel, August 2020; twice a week. It has been 6 months and I am feeling better and looking better. My eating habits have improved, lost 8lbs and inches, and I’m stronger. On occasions my husband joins in on our workouts and he has also shown improvement in his physique (smile). Rachel motives with a positive push and we share lots of laughter. Thank you Rachel.

Rachel is the best personal trainer I have had the pleasure of working with. I am seeing results rather quickly and I couldn't be happier! Rachel is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and flexible. Her workouts are tailored to your body which really helps if you have some sore spots (or know your limitations). I would highly recommend her services!

I've been working with Rachel via Zoom for about six months and couldn't be happier. She's super friendly, a great communicator, a creative workout planner, and unbelievably devoted to meeting her clients where they're at fitness-wise. Rachel took me from one of my lowest fitness slumps to being the strongest I've ever been in my life. She checks in with me regularly about my goals, cheers me on more than my own (super supportive) partner, and genuinely cares about making sure I'm getting as much out of working with her as possible. If you're looking for someone to help you reach - and exceed! - your fitness goals no matter where you are athletically or geographically, there's nobody else I'd recommend.

Rachel has changed my life from the outside in! She is so positive and committed and truly excited about working out. She’s a natural trainer. Supporter. She’s on my team and she crafts workouts to fit my life and body every week. She is super intuitive, caring, professional, always on time and always encouraging and kind without letting me slide. This is her calling! She’s changed my body and my life by sharing her knowledge of nutrition and exercise and always showing up 100% ready to meet me where I am and encourage me to be the best I can be.

Strength training has never been my forte, but Rachel helped me change that! She has guided me through a variety of new exercises and always makes sure that I’m comfortable and challenged. It has been incredibly helpful to have her observe and correct my form to ensure that I’m protecting my muscles and getting the most out of every move. Her skills as a motivator are top notch! She reassures and pushes me, but never beyond my abilities.

I’ve been training with Rach for a few years now. She knows how to push me but also makes it the funnest part of my day. She has a huge repertoire of different exercises, so it’s always changing and there’s always something to learn. She gets really excited when I get the form right! She cares about my confidence and happiness outside the gym too. She could easily be a therapist or life coach if she wanted to, and it comes through in the training sessions. I have kind of a stressful job, but when I’m training with Rach I sleep better, my mind is clearer, and I perform better at work. I appreciate her very much!
