Came here to get a family member a membership as a gift, this was the gym they chose. The Two guys at the front were to worried about ego then being professional. Was no music on, very poor gym environment. They were being rude to customers about wearing footwear in sauna (when that is normal is every other gym I’ve been to) one of the rude employees (same guy yelling at people for footwear) came up to me and very rudely told me I can’t make noise when doing weight training. Almost like he was trying intimidate me. Waisted money getting my family member the member ship here cuz after this they don’t want to come back here either. i am extremely glad I did not switch from my gym. Overall the employees that were at the front desk completely ruined this gym experience for me. I hope management lets them know this is not okay.

This place is a joke. I had a membership for 3+ years. Cancelled back in April and wasn’t charged until I woke up this morning to a $75 charge? Was told that it’s for back dues. Make sure if you cancel you record it or have some sort of proof. They will switch it to being that you never canceled and will continue to charge you.
I don’t recommend usually over crowded and staff is rude and very unprofessional.

We took a class here and were seriously impressed! The instructor was energetic, motivating, and made it fun for all fitness levels. Afterward, we tried the hydro massage—what a treat! Steam room, sauna and hot tub are constantly broken. They also are locking you into a year contract. I had to move to another state because of work, where they don’t have Chuze, had to pay $50 extra just to cancel PLUS I was canceling a few days BEFORE my next billing date so they forced me to pay that. Go elsewhere not worth the headache or to be locked in. Obviously they let you know when you sign up it’s a year commitment but things happen and it’s nothing special.

Decent equipment. In the last three years coming here they have reduced the need for front desk people. Can’t access perks like tanning bed unless you have a smart phone with the app. If you want front desk to sign up a membership, it’s a $30 processing fee with a credit card. If you enjoy running on treadmills, this place is NOT for you. On atleast 6 occasions in the last 2-3 months I have had treadmills abruptly power off (while running at full speed). On every occasion I’ve notified staff and/or management at the front desk. Nothing has been done, I was told it was a power supply issue. Wrong, it is a safety issue that needs to be fixed.

Not to mention the rest of the machines have belt issues to get to the intended speed. Over crowded is an understatement.

I've been going to Chuze for 5+ years now and love them! The atmosphere of the weight area is great, and the spa area is game-changing. The workers are awesome and friendly, I have had no one be rude or have bad experience. Honestly, only downfall is when their steam room or sauna is down, but that's usually because of other members messing with the sensors.

My name is DJ and I’ve be n going to this particular Chuze since at least August of 2024 and I have to say it’s very hard to find a public gym with as much as they offer for their very low price points. Not only do you get child care (if you have kids) swimming pool, sauna and turf areas along with all the equipment most gyms don’t have (ala planet fitness) they have staff like Riley, Dillon and Ben who always ALWAYS greet you entering and exiting with a smile and genuine conversations about your life. 5 stars + FYI - It’s always clean

Update one year later

The hot tub has been down way too often, and the steam room has been under construction this last whole year. This location doesn't have a smoothie bar like most locations I visit. The hydro massages are also frequently down or not working properly, and the theater isn't always available.

Bumped it to 2 stars because some of the staff are dope. However, some of them clearly look like they hate their job, and when you need literally anything (God forbid, I use the amenities I pay for despite them being half functioning)

Poor customer service. Chuze does not take issues seriously. I had waited over 20 min to use a machine because someone was just sitting there browsing their cell phone. I asked the two people at the front desk to please ask this person to step aside and use their cell phone elsewhere. They would not assist and instead just stared at me with a cowardly look. There seems to be no policy in place for people just sitting on machines browsing their phones for long periods of time.

Some of us would like to get our workouts done in a timely manner and move on with our day. After the staff provided no help, I asked them for the managers name and their direct phone number. They told me they are not allowed to give out direct phone numbers. I was told to try calling the front desk to see if they are available. I expect better customer service when I'm paying a monthly membership fee. The issue with people hogging machines only to browse their cell phones has gotten out of hand.

Some things to consider before joining

I joined this gym in November of 2024 and I wanted to give this place one more chance before cancelling the membership which I ended up doing anyways.
The steam room that you pay extra for has been under construction for years. Was told it would get done by Januaryish but nothing has even been moved in the room. You aren't getting the full offer when you are paying the full amount of your agreement.
I also had a buddy who was looking for a gym to go to and took them to chuze. I'm not making this part up but when asked if the person up front could show him around, we would have to PAY for a tour. You think my buddy got a membership with them? 😂
Then when you want to go cancel, sucks man, pay up another fee on top of the annual and monthly fees. Agreement is an agreement I get it, but last cent they will take out of me.

Machines themselves are decent just like most gyms I went too. Pool, sauna and hot tub work but not the steam room. Need to pay for tours and cancel fees like some gyms.

The Staff is awesome, the atmosphere is positive and if you need help from a staff member they will go out of their way to help. Also other gym members are helpful if you need help doing an exercise. Joined chuze because of the steam room. Got about 2-3 months of use before it was closed for "Maintenance".
Now I've paid for a premium membership for 8 months, gotten a $50 annual membership fee, and not been able to use the ONLY reason I joined in the first place.
Then I went to cancel my membership and the staff gets all pissy at me for canceling and saying "all the other premium membership amenities are available". I didn't join for those reasons....
Kept hoping maintenance would be done quickly. Now I've wasted $300 and gotten a shitty attitude from staff when I voice my frustration.
Find a different gym if you want a steam room, or friendly staff.

Unfortunately I got the wrong person for customer service. I went in to see the place and Ben was upset that I asked for a tour and didn't automatically sign up and it showed throughout the tour. I was talking to Ben again and he was getting ready to assign a massage bed, when some guy came in from outside, walked up to the desk and asked to be assigned a bed, and Ben stopped in the middle of our conversation to assign the guy a bed. Then turned back and assigned me a bed. I looked at the place for the pool and spa, but it is not worth it. The rest of the staff seemed very friendly.

The massage chairs are great, and I look forward to trying out a Lift Lab.Suggestion: I would highly recommend that you put an Infrared Sauna back in the Westminster, CO, location. I have several friends who would sign up for this gym if it had an IR Sauna.I do find it odd that the website for the Westminster location says it has an IR Sauna. Also, I received an email on 1/2/24 from the Westminster location highlighting the "Top 10 Infrared Sauna Benefits". It appears you know that this is a real selling point. I'd like to know what your plans are for upgrading to the latest safer version of IR sauna that seems to be in all the other CO locations. If you sign up at this gym, make sure that the contract copy they email to you actually includes the termination language as mine was missing the page that included termination language.

So, when I went to cancel, I didn't know that I needed to provide 10 days' notice to avoid being charged for the next month. When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the front desk, the woman agreed that the language was not in the email and told me a manager would look at it on Monday. On Monday, all I received was an email saying that it was in the contract emailed to me with a smiley face, likely not from a manager as requested. In my response, I requested a call from a manager and never got one.

After I left a poor review, I received an email from a manager. I replied and explained my concerns again. Again, I requested a response or call from a manager. Again, I have received no further response or call to address the matter.

I'm not asking for a refund. I respect that I signed a contract. However, I think that gaslighting a patron about whether language is in a contract copy or not is irresponsible and inappropriate. I asked for respectful communication so that I could draw attention to an issue for future patrons and no such communication was provided. Based on their lack of response and willingness to address my concern, Chuze is as predatory about cancellation as every other gym out there.

Have been a member for 5 year or more. Great facility. I signed up here for the pool area. Hot tub, sauna, steam room, and pool. However the steam room has been broken for like 6+ months. I have emailed and called and asked and litterally no one knows what's going on with it. Granted the membershipship is reasonably priced but the main thing I joined this gym for was these amenities.

No response from corporate when I have called and emailed them. No offer of a reduced membership. Mearly a sorry waiting on permitting? Or they have resumed the work, yet nothing has moved in the construction zone of a steam room (in months).

They have offered to simply go to another of their locations about 30 mins away, in traffic. I don't have time to add over an hour to my day.

Unfortunately, I am stuck here because of the pool. If there were other options around I would definitely switch. I just wish someone in the Chuze universe could figure out the Pandora's Box of a steam room.

All that being said the location is always clean and the staff is very nice. I still go regularly, and when I have time I go to the 120th location for the steam room.

Please fix it.... Or at least get a REAL time line for us!

The front desk staff and group fit staff are amazing and have to be the best Chuze staff anywhere, but there are some serious issues that need to be addressed before I can give a higher rating. First and foremost, the steam room being broken for MONTHS is ridiculous - I have not seen any work at all even attempted on it since they tore it apart. Second, the pool is absolutely frigid - there were signs advertising that the pool would be warmed to 84° but those signs are gone, even with those signs it was no where near 84°. I will say the past couple weeks the pool has been warmer than usual but it’s still absolutely unpleasant. Third, the doors for the pool and Lift Lab are unlocked meaning anybody can use them. Why am I paying $32 a month when I could be paying $15.99 to use the same amenities. I downgraded my membership because of this but was forced into a new 12 month contract for doing so, when there are as many problems as there are you should not be forced into a 12 month contract for downgrading - if we’re expected to be patient with the “upgrades” they are doing at the gym, we should also be given grace with being able to change our contract . If you’re looking to get a More membership for the pool/ Lift Lab benefits; don’t because as mentioned, the doors are unlocked for these “premium” amenities. Overall, I do wish the gym was as good as when I started coming, it was a solid 5+ stars at that point, but it’s gone down hill in some areas and that makes me really sad for me and other members, and the staff who are probably bombarded with questions multiple times daily regarding the changes at this location.

I’ll give it to them the gyms are always clean and not often are machines broken, however the recent change to me and any guests being forced to use their app (that also forces you to have a picture of yourself and you can’t change it unless you’re present at the gym) has really soured me on my “more” membership. One of the cleanest commercial gyms in the area. Unfortunately they recently went through some changes where they refreshed their equipment with a lower quality brand. There used to be competition eleiko plates and bars now the bars max out around 405 (because the bumpers are too physically large). They kept the 25lb competition plates which makes me believe one of their employees took the 45s home with them. Not sure if this is a deal breaker for anyone but there “lift lab” can’t support any serious weight and it seems like corporate isn’t interested in solving these problems.

The staff is super friendly and always available to help. Would love to see chuze corporate not try to emulate the mistakes of planet fitness and other commercial clubs.

I have been going to this gym for a year now. In the past few months, the gym has seen a lot of inmates come from detention facilities and jails. In the sauna, they will bang on the benches and be very pushy, due to which I canceled my membership a few days ago, feeling unsafe.
Today, July 25th, 2024, I was in the sauna when a big woman opened the door, left it open, and stand there. I addressed her, "Excuse me, excuse me, please close the door!"
There were only 4 people in the sauna (capacity: 15-20 people), so there was enough space to seat one more person. The lady demanded that I move for her to sit. I did move, and she sat next to my head and took a big metal bottle and smashed it with full strength next to my head, hurting my hear and the bang damaged my eardrum (I felt severe pain). The hit made the bench shake. I took the bottle and threw it on the ground. The lady left the sauna. I felt very unsafe and in danger. I was shaking. It was a huge, big person, and I am not a big girl. So I instinctively reacted by throwing this bottle, but I was frightened to death.
On my way out of the sauna, I went to talk to the manager. Evy (I have never talked to her before nor addressed any issues), but today.
I started to say what happened when she interrupted me: "Well, we are so busy you can't be bent or laying in the sauna!" The manager had a very aggressive and not willing-to-listen tone. I requested that she not interrupt me several times, but she did not care to listen. She keeps interrupting me and trying to convince me that there is something wrong with me!
I shared that I feel unsafe, and this is considered an attack, and this should not happen in the sauna. If someone wants to sit, there is a more adequate way to request it! The manager keeps trying to blame me! "YOU damaged her property!" The manager was discriminatory towards me because I am not American, I suppose! I asked her why she was taking sides? I asked what she would do if I smashed something metal next next to her head with full power? Her response is, "I will stay professional." I asked her, How do you know what your reaction would be? She said she is so professional that she would not feel any treat! We have a problem with the property of the American girl! What shall I do, the manager asked!"
"Madame, if the lady has damaged property, she can file a claim in court!" The manager keeps attacking me and refusing to listen.
My friend a few weeks ago had her car window broken outside of this gym during the day at 1 pm . Then, a male exposed his privates outside the parking lot right in front of this gym, next to the broken car window. The police were able to save my friend. I personally left this horrible environment, not finishing the conversation with this obviously not very stable gym representative. I find it very inadequate that the manager was aggressive, interrupting me and trying to convince me that there was something wrong with me!!! She probably struggles with some mental health issues, disorder, or something! I hope you find the correct mental health specialist, Miss Evy. This gym proclaims protection and stands behind aggressors, attackers, and intimidators. I do not recommend it. I will not go there again. This is not a safe place to work out! The steam room is extremely dirty and dingy. They struggle with hygiene lately.
I do not recommend it! Not safe! Not adequate stuff. Lack of professionalism and basic respect. I will not go there again. Horrible.

In Denver for the week on vacation and needed a gym. Large gym with lots of equipment. Overall great experience! Joey was so friendly, helpful and informative and even gave recommendations of places to check out while we were in town! Definitely recommend this gym!

I love Chuze as a franchise but this location is rough. We just moved to the area and this one is closest to our new place. The WiFi is constantly not working here and the building is such a fortrace I can never get service. So you can’t listen to anything. I brought my phone, old ipod and ipad today to try and get something to connect and nothing will. But the staff keeps insisting it’s my devices. I’d go into their theatre area to listen to that but AC has been broken in there for weeks so it feels like a jungle.

I paid extra after a few months so I can use the lift lab right after work. Almost every time I’ve gone i couldn’t use it because they have a class going on. (I wasn’t told this when I signed up for it) Some people have windows they can go to the gym and it’s pretty ridiculous you can’t use something you’re paying extra for. Went to downgrade back to the 9.99 membership and I would’ve had to reset my yearlong commitment.

Downgrading the Westminster club to 3 stars. The gym is still well maintained and a good value but is significantly busier. And since Covid the times/amount of the team and training/ strength lab classes have gone down. The only clases that don't start/end during normal business hours (9-5) are the 5:15 am and the Monday/Wednesday 5:30 pm class. And if you are even two minutes late because of traffic they lock you out of the class. The classes seem to only cater to people that don't have to work. When I asked if they might return to pre-Covid class offerings like multiple afterwork classes I was told to drive to the Broomfield or Thornton clubs. You would think with a busier club they would offer more class times instead of expecting you to drive 20-30 minutes out of your way to go to another club whose class times aren't any better.

Amazing staff and environment. VASA is a little too bro-y (and always jam packed) for me, and PF lacked.... a motivating environment? Idk but it wasn't a good fit. Out of the 4 gyms in the area, this one is my favorite. Great for beginners and for long time gym go-ers.

The staff is fantastic - they're friendly, remember my name, and always make me feel welcome. The gym itself is incredibly clean, and I see them constantly sanitizing equipment and tidying up. It's a great atmosphere for anyone at any fitness level, with a wide variety of equipment to suit all workout needs. Highly recommend!

I've been working out here for seven years and happy with the experience for most of that time. Recent experiences have left me frustrated and looking for other options in the area. They recently added a bunch of equipment to the existing space, so now it feels very crowded. There are only two rowers and lately one or both are often out of order. And they just changed their wifi system so that you now have to connect to the wifi every time. This can't be industry standard since this is the only public place I go that I have to sign into wifi every time. My tablet has a lot of trouble every time and it takes on average five minutes just to connect to wifi every day. Today it took 15 minutes. There is no need for this.
