This studio is unkept, overpriced, instructors are often late. Arrogant manager. Jennifer Finger is a terrible manager and unprofessional. Do Not go here!

My best friend and I have been coming to this studio since February when we took our first intro class. All of the instructors are wonderful. Meg is the absolute best! I will continue to come to this studio because of her. They have so many class options and always provide modifications.

The Pilates instructors here are excellent—knowledgeable, professional, and always supportive. They make the classes worth coming back to. However, the manager isn’t as pleasant to deal with. Communication and customer service could be much better. It’s a great studio with a lot of potential, but the management needs improvement.

The instructors at this Pilates studio are fantastic—skilled, attentive, and encouraging. I’ve really enjoyed the classes and feel like I’m making great progress. Unfortunately, the experience is sometimes overshadowed by poor management. The manager can be dismissive and unhelpful, which takes away from the otherwise positive environment. If the leadership matched the quality of the instructors, this place would be five stars.

I signed up to do a free class with this place within 4 days this place has called my twice. Kind of seems like excessive sales. Prime example of why I don’t care to do gym memberships. The lady calls me at 8:00 am on a Sunday. Do better.

This club is out to get your money. They are not easy to get ahold of by phone. I tried the membership but could rarely get into a class because they are full up. I was sick and canceled my class and they charge you a fee if you cancel with short notice on top of what you already pay on a monthly basis. I signed up for an unlimited plan and was told I could go to any club pilates, but its only club pilates owned by this franchise. That was not made clear to me. I informed them I wanted to cancel. They did not recognize my cancellation time until I was emailed a cancellation request by owner then signed it and sent it back. I thought I gave 30 days notice, but it’s 30 days after the next billing. So they get one more month of charges out of you. Not able to go to classes due to being out of town and have other obligations so it makes it hard to use that last month!

So glad to have found a place that feels like family. I’ve been coming here for the last 7 months and the days I don’t come here, I feel like something is missing! From the front desk to instructors, everyone is always so welcoming!

Before joining, I had heard that Club Pilates was the cookie cutter pilates workout. I haven’t felt that at all, infact, my body feels so much better and stronger!

Writing this review in hopes that it implements a change or two.

I’ve been trying different Pilates studios throughout the Denver metro area for about 6M. I decided to give Club Pilates a go about 2M ago. Since the start of my journey here, my experience has been good and I plan to continue my attendance. But there are a few areas that are less than perfect.

To start, this studio specifically is fairly popular. Classes on the weekend are booked completely with a waitlist ranging from 5-10 persons per class. If that tends to be the only time you can make class, I’d reconsider. It’s hard to get your money worth. While on the subject, you are asked for a 3M commitment contractually if you buy any of the membership packages. Be sure to know ahead of time if it’ll be worth your while/money/commitment with class availability.

Next, over these past 2M I’ve had the opportunity to experience just about every class and instructor. The classes offered included a foam rolling class, stretching class, beginner Pilates course, and more advanced classes. The foam rolling class/stretching class were an acquired taste. Although brilliant, it’s a bit much to imagine paying the drop-in fee of 35.00 or using up one of your membership sessions on a class to stretch or foam rolling. But I guess depending on your level of activity, it’s justifiable per each individual. The quality of Flow 1, Flow 1.5, & Flow 2 classes (Pilates activity) absolutely depend on your instructor.

Instructor wise, I’d love to highlight Aja & Lori. They are not only knowledgeable, but they’re both patient and very well-collected. You can tell by the way they shows up that they enjoy their craft as instructors. You are learning while being instructed. Both of them have very well-constructed, very clear classes, and the 50 minute session flows seamlessly. They are both hands on, correct you on exercises, and makes sure the class is in unison. It feels like a genuine workout, whether you are in a Flow, 1/1.5/2. I couldn’t recommend these instructors enough, no matter what phase of Pilates you are in.

On the flip-side, as mentioned I had to opportunity to experience each instructor on the schedule. Unfortunately, one of the instructor by the name of Clarice just missed the mark for me. & she does appear on the schedule what looks like more than other instructors. She goes through the motions. She’s very nonchalant. The courses aren’t very constructed. It doesn’t seem as if she goes into class with a game plan and just “makes it up as you go”. There’s long phases of pauses to either determine what exercise to do next, or due to personal side conversations she’s having. Unlike the other instructors, you get no education throughout your session. Here and there she will also be on her phone. Not sure for what reason, but from the times I’ve experienced her, it’s a reoccurring trend. In class, an older woman expressed her instructions not being clear and not being aware of what we were doing, in which sense the instructor Clarice chose to intentionally ignore the commentary. It doesn’t feel like you are getting a real workout. It’s unorganized and very unfulfilling. With the money commitment/demand that Pilates is, all-around, it’s pretty poor effort on her behalf. I can’t consumer say that’s an instructor I’d recommend.

For the instructors I had for foam rolling and stretching, they were very knowledgeable and the class seemed to respond positively to the course. Both courses provided exactly as they intended to.

All-around, this is a good Pilates studio, dependent upon your instructor and the class availability.

Pricing is also fair and attainable.

Hope to circle back in another few months with an updated review. Happy Pilates!

Jennalee at the Aurora studio on Tower and Hampton is a fantastic instructor. She explains the moves clearly and also demonstrates them professionally. Her classes are always booked, so I have to sign up specifically for her classes way in advance. It is nice to see such a qualified instructor.

Such an amazing studio! The instructors are incredibly well seasoned and helpful. The front desk couldn’t be nicer and more accommodating. It never gets boring since the format in classes is different. Not to mention a very clean studio!

Never ever enrolled for membership, I enrolled for the membership and it was hard to book a class always on waitlist for the class that works for me. I canceled the membership on the app in September and in October they called me said I still needed to fill out the cancellation form and required 30days notification so I still need to pay for membership fee for November. I basically payed $109/month for nothing, and now they charge me again for December I called they said there was mistake and they would gave me refund for December.

Friday 15 November at 6:56pm.

I was verbally abused.

I am absolutely baffled that one person would treat another person this way. I was left intimated and belittled by the front desk worker, and almost cried on the way out of the studio because of how I was spoken to.

I went to the front desk to cancel my membership. Unfortunately I am active duty military and my schedule is too chaotic to be attending these classes. The woman was so incredibly rude to me. I can read in my contract that it’s a $100 termination fee. The woman working corrected me, allegedly, it’s not $100. She said it’s “$99”, and there’s no way that that club pilates does their cancellation that way, and I have to talk to a manager. Honestly, I didn’t think I was being mean in any way when I asked when the managers working so I can get my membership canceled ASAP. In the most rude voice ever, she replied “we do not give out manager schedules and they’ll call you when they have the time.”

“Why do you want to cancel?”
I replied it’s just not what I expected.
“Well, you came in here and signed up didn’t you?” Are you kidding?

Service members are MISTREATED at this location and I will make sure everyone knows never to come here.

The manager needs to call me immediately. Pull the camera footage and play the audio because I cannot believe this stuff was said to me.

I will not be abused by some sad employees that hates their lives. I cannot go there anymore.

If you are looking for a great workout that flys by fast, then Club Pilates at Southlands is your place and these are your people. Every class is different, so there's not really a set routine (except for the end, which everyone looks forward to) and each class can be as challenging or as relaxing as you want. The instructors (Aja, Alana, Clairice, Jana, and Lori) and the front desk staff (Brittney, Dani, and Holly) are so encouraging and welcoming!

Oh my goodness I love club Pilates at Southlands so much. Everyone—— literally everyone that works there is so welcoming. I was intimidated to join and now they are family and I have gotten so much stronger, muscle tone and strength and flexibility, and I have only been going for two months. It’s truly remarkable. Every single instructor is incredible- Asa, Lori, Amy, Jana, Clarice, and so well trained. The manager Holly is fabulous… and Joanne, who runs the front desk frequently—Such a treasure. All of the others who work the front desk and do the scheduling are so accommodating and kind and helpful. I cannot tell you how much I love this place. I have an unlimited membership and I go six or seven times a week because I love it so much.

I LOVE this studio. I’ve been attending classes for a little over a year and have enjoyed every one of them. The instruction and workout vary slightly by instructor and keep it interesting. There are plenty class times to fit with my crazy schedule to allow me to attend as often as I’d like.

The cancellation policy is fair, also. All the instructors have been very kind and patient. I especially love Clairice’s positive energy and drive, Lori’s care and attention to detail, and Aja’s brutal yet effective workouts :)

Pilates is amazing! I only do it once per week due to cost, but I love how I feel after doing it. I have had nothing but AMAZING experiences with all the instructors - they are so non-judgmental, specific, and motivating. I am someone who never found an exercise routine or practice that I liked or could keep consistently. But I look forward to my Pilates sessions and am always happy I went. Club Pilates has all of the equipment needed to get in a really great workout, and I like the variety that I get within and between classes - no one session has ever been the same as the last, but they’re working all the same muscles each time!

I’m leaving a 4-star review for 1 reason: there has been a LOT of instructor turnover in the last month. I joined in March 2023 and loved my sessions with Rita. She left soon after (she still instructs at other CP locations), and since then, it seems like there has been a mass exodus of instructors leaving. Sydney was the lead instructor for a while, and she was absolutely amazing, but she resigned suddenly, and I am so disappointed. I know I’m not the only one. To be fair, each instructor I have is phenomenal, even with the substitute instructors during this turnover. However it was nice to have consistency regarding who my instructor would be for a session, and having the same instructor each time helps build a bond with the practice. After asking around, I heard that instructor turnover is not this bad at other Club Pilates locations compared to this one. I’m hoping that this studio can make some changes to make their instructors feel more valued - ultimately, it’s the customers who suffer the most from whatever is causing these amazing employees to jump ship. This studio is in a phenomenal location and the community of other patrons is outstanding - I really hope they don’t end up closing because of this issue.

I never tend to write a review but this time, I had to express the humiliation and disappointment and the treat I received today. My mother and I are both Spanish Speaker. We did the Intro class and we had no issues with the intro class, I did had to provide some translation to my mom who is 66. When I sign up with the owner, I was never inform that I could not provide guidance to mom in the class, the only thing was mention was the three month commitment that both of us need to do which we did. Arrived to today to my first class with instructor Melissa not only was she rude but told me I couldn't translate the class to my mom becuase I would disturb other people. That is had to keep my conversations to the minimum. Not only was this rude but very unprofessional. I felt that comments were racist and humiliating to myself and my mother. We decided to stay and my mom was able to do the class looking at me. I request a call from the owner who mention that she was busy and would call me later. My mom and I left in tear for the treat that we received and any point she did not work with us. I would never recommend this place to anybody. it is sad that you main core of Pilates is to have a health mind and health body but at this place the treat I received today was very disappointing. I would like my money back for me and my mom and a call from the owner. It is sad that people until today does not accept diversity

So far so good. I was not forced to purchase socks. I was told over the phone when I scheduled my intro class, that I needed pilates/yoga socks and that if I did not own a pair, the studio had them for purchase beginning at $12. The intro class was fantastic and I loved the instructor. Now I'm hooked. You do need to schedule evening classes in advance by at least a week. I also noticed that you cannot book more than 15 classes at a time even when you choose a package that allows you to take unlimited classes. I have only been going for a few weeks, but I already feel stronger. I have taken classes with three instructors and have been challenged in every class in a different way.

Loved the intro class. Here’s the problem, when I went to see what classes I could plan on (
I work so early am or eve or weekends are my options) all the classes were booked over a week out. Only claases available were mid morning and early afternoon. Glad I looked at the schedule before I signed up for a 30 day cancellation policy membership or else I wouldnt have even been able
To get in for over a week if not longer. When I spoke with their rep she suggested as a member
I could book classes up to 2months in advance which tells me lots of members do and that classes at prime hours may very well be booked out further than a week. Also for me to book out that far with work and kids isnt realistic. None of these scheduling issues were brought up when I was inquiring about membership until I looked at the schedule and asked. So in summary great place if you can workout mid day. For those of us in the work force not so practical and management should have mentioned this.
