Wow. Where to start…. Core Progression has changed my life for the better. After 9 months of consistency with Thomas and Noah I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life, have confidence in my form and get excited to hit the gym! While I only trained with Thomas and Noah, the entire team is a delight to be around, lots of laugh while still getting a sweat in!

thomas is an excellent trainer! my workouts with thomas are fun (!!), challenging, and data-driven. the gym is approachable and very clean, and there's all kinds of cool equipment in addition to the standard stuff you'd expect. i started going here a few months ago to jumpstart my fitness routine, and i'm so happy i did!

Thomas is an incredible trainer and Tony and Maggie and the rest of the team at Core Progression Arvada create a welcoming and friendly environment. I did CrossFit for about 3 years, and while I enjoyed those workouts, I felt like I never got enough personal attention and that my biomechanics were getting worse over time even as I got stronger, to the point where I started getting injured whenever I tried to push harder, and my feet especially were really starting to hurt all the time when trying to jog or ski. I came to Core Progression specifically to fix problem areas, and was paired up with Alan, who I've been training with for 6 months now. Alan has been amazing at targeting my weakest areas, and guiding me towards better form and away from injury risks. He's an amazing communicator, is patient and adaptive in his coaching, and routinely solicits feedback from me. I sprained my shoulder skiing early on, and he didn't miss a beat changing up my program to keep up the pace while helping me rehab the shoulder safely. I now feel more connected and in control of every muscle in my body, with improved stability, posture, and performance in all my favorite activities. If you've encountered problems in a CrossFit box, playing sports, or enjoying the outdoors, and need to fix a musculoskeletal problem, Alan is your guy! I enjoy every workout.

I've been working with both Thomas and Noah for the past 90 days, and the experience has been incredibly valuable. Started going here a couple months ago. I get a lot of value from these sessions both physically and mentally.
My trainer Allan has been great. I'm working through a few long term injuries and he's created a program to ensure I don't make the injuries worse as well as strengthened my entire body and improved my mobility. Not to mention he's just a really nice guy.
Everyone there is extremely welcoming. I haven't once felt intimidated. Tony the manager has been nothing but accommodating and just fun to talk with.
These a great people, very skilled, provide effective training, and a comfortable environment. Highly recommend check them out.

I just want to give a shout out to Alan! I have been training with him for 8 weeks, and I am having so much fun! I really appreciate the variety of workouts he puts together for me. He makes sure that I have the proper form down for each exercise, which has not happened with most other personal trainers that I have had.

I have only been going to Core Progression in Arvada for a month now, but it has been a really great experience. Tony honestly makes working out a fun activity (crazy right?). He is super responsive to any issues with a particular exercise and quickly changes it to meet your needs. I’ve been going to Core since September. I go 3 days a week (I started with 2).
When I started I expressed to them that I was starting from below zero. I was very nervous to start. I hate feeling sore and uncomfortable.
They listened to me and created a plan to work my way up. We started with working on my mobility and flexibility and body weight.
My original trainer left (Alex was amazing!!) and I started working with Wes.
Wes is passionate about helping his clients. He has always listened to me when I let him know how my body is feeling and he adjusts. If I mention to him something feels tight or uncomfortable he will stop the current work out and make sure we stretch the area of discomfort so I can continue the workout without being in pain.
Wes makes coming in at 6am enjoyable. He is kind and fun!
Wes also always explains the WHY behind what we are doing. I want to be able to confidently work out on my own someday, and he helps me understand and learn how to workout.
Wes is also very supportive of goals! He checks in and truly cares about how it’s going.
Side note! I have also trained with Thomas when Wes has been out of town and Thomas is fantastic! I have felt completely comfortable training with anyone I’ve been placed with!

The staff were very friendly but i felt uncomfortable about all the gloating regarding how they cheated to obtain their certification. It didn't feel right doing physical therapy with a trainer who boasted about cheating her way through her master's degree by looking up all the answers to her exams online. She was open with everyone about how she never went to class or did any work, but she's one of the top trainers. So i'm concerned about receiving physical therapy or any kind of care from someone who didn't actually study to obtain the expertise needed to help those with injuries. It's ironic because their website says "accountability is ultimately the key to achieving your fitness goals"... but apparently there was no accountability when these trainers were getting certified to do what they do. Would not recommend going here. Find a place with honest people.

Katey Krupka is amazing! In the last two years I moved states, had a baby and switched jobs. I fell out of my workout routine and needed to get back in it. I tried a few other places and they just weren’t for me. Katey pushes me but also allowed me to ease back into the routine so I stick with it. Love the semi-private training!

My trainer, Spencer, is amazing. I’ve had such a good experience here. I came in about 6 months ago after not working out for years due to a terrible car accident. Spencer spent the first few weeks rehabbing my core, back, and shoulder, which were all affected from my accident. Once I got stronger, she got me back to actually working out! She’s so personable and fun to talk to.
I’ve had personal trainers when I was younger and hated it, but Spencer always met me where I was at, and it wasn’t intimidating at all. I highly suggest this gym! Summer is also amazing!

I've been training with Summer since January and I think she's the best! She really knows her stuff and has created programs for me that are unique for my fitness needs and goals. She's very understanding about limitations and when I've needed it, she has come up with creative adaptations that keep me moving forward. I love Core so very much. The space is clean, organized, and never crowded. It’s ideal for what I need, which is to get in there and have the support of my trainer while there, without all the competition for equipment. It feels intimate and private. But what has made it truly so exceptional for me is my trainer, Summer. She is deeply knowledgeable about anatomy and physiology, is empathetic and compassionate, and tough. She holds me accountable while I’m on a long journey regarding strength training and weight loss. I look forward to going to my sessions. My sessions are so fast I can’t believe it when they are over. They keep me invested—are fun and interesting. Summer communicates really well so scheduling is easy. I can’t say enough good things. I’m so much stronger than when I started and I’ve lost more than 15 pounds. I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s great.

Core Progression has some amazingly knowledgeable personal trainers. My trainer, Rachel, is extremely well versed in personal health care, nutrition, and exercise sciences. I don't need to track my progress, fitness, or exercise regime, and can trust that my physical fitness is in good hands.
More generally, appointments are always kept, staff are friendly and non-intimidating (gymtimidating?), facility is clean and hygienic, and gym etiquette is excellent (no dumbbells scattered everywhere).
I've been attending for about a year, and I've lost 15 pounds of body fat, and gained 5-7 pounds of muscle mass. I look amazing to myself and my partner, and I have Core Progression's environment and atmosphere to thank for that.

I am endlessly impressed by how talented of a trainer Summer is. I just completed Summers Womens lifting classes and I am 100% more confident than I have ever been before at a gym. She has such extensive knowledge and teaches in a way that is easy to understand. The class was fun and challenging and so comfortable. Summer gracefully was able to give us all individual attention even in a group setting. She is dialed into the unique challenges women face with our bodies and understands there’s no one plan fits all. I’ve been training with Summer at Core Progression for almost a year, when I first started, its what got me going to the gym regularly and actually enjoying it! A few months in I fell skiing and had to have a total ACL replacement from my quad and stay off it for six weeks from meniscus damage as well. After four months when I could walk without a limp, I returned to training with Summer, which is the best thing I could’ve done to help rebuild my strength after knee surgery. I’m still in the process of rebuilding all my strength, but I I know I’d be much further behind without training with Summer. I was nervous to see what I could do with my recovering knee, but Summer had plenty of modifications, and unique exercises that I could do to help rebuild my knee and total body strength! One of the things I love most about working out at Core Progression is that they meet you where you are, and build off of what you can do, which Summer has done an amazing job of - especially with my injury! This is something I would never get a typical workout class where the instructor doesn’t have enough time to give good modifications and correct everyone’s form. Thanks Summer ❤️

She really works with me to understand my goals. I am 54 and I had a little work out lapse during covid and finally got back to it. Danielle carefully planned my program to ensure that I could rebuild my overall body strength. Focusing on strength, balance and core.
Hannah is the Arvada location manager. She does a fantastic job explaning the process and matching you up with a trainer. She is always available and checks in frequently to make sure I am making progress and feeling good.
This is the best I have felt in years.

I was a client at this gym since November of 2021 and I have expressed this feedback directly with the gym management prior to this post. The rating would be 0 stars, but the personal training staff increased it to 2 stars.
Pros:
-The trainers. They are excellent and really care about your health journey. My last trainer was Summer and she was amazing, definitely recommend. 10/10!!
-Hannah (GM): Overall very nice and I feel as she is doing everything to the best of her ability with no support from her higher ups. The owner and higher ups are only in the business to make a paycheck, without taking any feedback to heart.
-Nutritionist: It was $400 to be part of the program and Harrison did an excellent job.
Cons:
Staff: Overall the trainers don't last long as they are independent contractors and often leave once a better opportunity comes along. I was provided 3 trainers in my time at the gym, so it is hard to get a consistent program in place.
-Billing: No transparency at all in this area and very shady. Hourly sessions range from $66-$110, depending on frequency and payment terms. I paid for 72 sessions upfront. Randomly I received an email that my account was going to be charged $5,000 in 5 days for another 72 sessions. Once I brought that up, I was told I was actually past the 72 session pass and that I owed them money for 4 sessions at the $110 rate unless I went back to the 72 session pre-payment. The gym should definitely be more proactive and they should provide the list of sessions used to provide that transparency. Make sure to cancel 30 days prior to your cancellation even if you pre pay for "X" amount of sessions as they will slap that part of contract on you. They state that it is a smaller gym with a "family feel", when in reality it is just a large greedy franchise.
-Integrity: I was charged for extra 9 sessions (proven) and I was given the runaround. I asked for a refund and it was money owed and I was told "That isnt possible". Trainer #1 and #2 charged me for sessions when they cancelled due to them having Covid. When you sign up, they tell you that everything is super flexible and it is anything but. When you try to leave, they throw the contract at you and ask for your money.
-Cleanliness: Gym was often dirty and the bathrooms smelled funny. I would assume that they only cleaned the gym a couple times per week to save money and on my way out, I overheard that they eliminated the cleaning company, so it will only get worse.
-Equipment: Often broken or damaged and had signs saying "Do not step here" or many bands and bars were extremely old or deteriorating. The gym pipes burst several times as the owner refuses to spend money on insulation. As a result, both clients and employees had to ask local businesses to use their restrooms.
Overall for the price, there are many more competitors out there that do a much better job and care more about their clients. I spent over $10,000 during my time with them and I felt like the door hit me on the way out. No appreciation, no flexibility and I was only a client number/paycheck for them. I wish the trainers the very best as they were all great people and they also deserve better.

I’m so glad I decided to walk into Core Progession three months ago. Since then I’ve gotten so much stronger and feel so much better. My trainer, Dylan, is top notch, 10 out of 10 at his job. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and methodical in his approach. I have learned so much and haven’t injured myself (which always scared me about weightlifting). Matt has a FANTASTIC staff and facility! HIGHLY recommend! 10/5 stars! I broke my leg a few years ago and worked with Jamie at a different facility. I followed her out to CORE. She helped me get out of a wheelchair and walk again! I was wheelchair bound for 3.5 months and off weight for an additional 2 months. Matt’s team is HIGHLY knowledgeable. Not only do they make PT enjoyable, they put the time and effort into truly helping people get better. Jamie and Matt were so patient and constantly collaborating new ways to help me get better. Talk about a game changing gym. I absolutely love core progression and while yes it is not as cheap as most gyms it is one on one training that holds you accountable to see results. I personally floundered around in gyms for years telling myself I'd eventually get more serious and work harder and nothing changed. I have been going to core progression for 3 months am so much stronger than I have been in years, I'm down about 30 lbs and feel great. Not that it's all working out obviously diet plays into affect as well.
This all said do yourself a favor and invest in yourself and a team that cares about your progress. Hannah is amazing! Harrison is stellar and every trainer I have even talked to there is a great person.

Like others have already said, the trainers I worked with here were excellent. However, the management are extremely uncommunicative and slimy. Your mileage may vary based on location, but the manager of the Northglenn location, Austin, has a habit of agreeing to things verbally, not following through, and then trying to stick customers to the written language of the contract.
My contract cost $540 a month for three half hour sessions a week. After several months of training with no incident, I had to go out of town for a few weeks, which turned into a month. I informed my trainer and Austin that I would be returning and would rather have my membership put on hold rather than cancel outright. 'Sure bro, no problem, we'll get that set up for you.'
Sure enough, I got billed anyway, and when I called Austin he was impossible to reach. So I disputed the charge, as I was too busy to play phone tag over a $540 charge. Rather than simply apologize and put my account on temporary hold as he had agreed, Austin fought the dispute, got the payment sent anyway by sending the credit card company copies of the contract, and never said a word to me.
When I returned, I went back as we had agreed, but now had a surplus of unused sessions, since I'd been billed for months I hadn't used. 'No problem bro, we'll get it straight.'
When I had to work out of town again for a few months, once again I informed my trainer and Austin that I would be leaving for a while and would need my account put on hold. 'Oh sure, we'll handle that for you. No problem.' Of course I kept getting billed the entire time I was gone.
Now in order to cancel they want me to pay for the remainder of a FOUR MONTH CONTRACT, so they'll get a total of $4,320 (eight months) from me, though I've only used a little over six months worth of sessions.
Absolutely disgraceful. If you're looking for a gym, find a more reputable one. This place is apparently keeping its lights on by scamming people with automatically renewing contracts and empty promises.

My experience training here was great... until I tried to cancel. I signed a 3 month contract and was told I needed to give 30 days notice via email to cancel after that. I set a reminder on my phone to do that - and at the 30 day mark I emailed the manager, Jeff, to give him notice that I would not be continuing after the end of December. I thought all was fine until a month later I received an email saying I would be charged for January. I immediately emailed Jeff again and told him that I had given my 30 days notice and would not be continuing and to please cancel. Well - 5 days later I was charged. So I emailed again reiterating that I had cancelled and asked for a refund. Never heard back from Jeff after any of these emails. I called and left him a voice mail message - and that was never returned either. In my last group training class I asked my trainer if he could help - and he had me talk to Hannah (who signed me up). Hannah said that if I sent an email 30 days prior then it was no problem - she would credit me. Well that never happened. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company (it's still in dispute as I write this). And, of course, I received ANOTHER email saying they're going to charge me in a few days for February. I also received a text asking me to review them on Google - which I replied to and asked them to please cancel my membership and to credit the January fees back to my card. Still no response. I had to ask my credit card company to put a stop payment on any transactions from Core Progressions since there is no other way to resolve this. I have all the emails as proof - and can post them here if necessary.
This whole thing has been beyond frustrating. It also ruined what was a really great training experience. I loved doing the group training sessions there... the trainers I worked with, Mike & Sydney, are fantastic! I can't say enough good things about them. But, unfortunately, once you're a Core Progressions member - you're a member for life. Not cool.

I've been receiving personal training here for almost six months. They have a fantastic group of trainers - I've worked with Austin, Hannah, and Jeff. They are knowledgeable and motivating and it has a community feel. I've lost weight and built a noticeable amount of muscle, which keeps me coming back.
The price per session is a bit on the high side, but if you have the money, it's well worth it. Keep in mind, you can't really workout here outside of the sessions so having a cheap planet fitness membership on the side is helpful.

This Gym is great!! I was a real fatty when I hit this gym up for help, and they were so judgement free and helpful. My wife Sharon raved about them for years. My experience with them was very pleasant. I was able to go in and talk to Jeff and he laid out pricing, and was very straight forward. The gym was steep in price for my budget but they were more then accommodating, and dropped the price to fit my needs. Everyone was very helpful. The classes were great and it was just a great place to be. I no longer work out here, and my stint was short, but by no fault of them. They just gave me what I need to get back into it on my own.
When I walked through there doors I was a short plump little man standing 5’5” and a round 237lb because I went here and had such a great experience it gave me what I needed in order to loose 40lb since January. Not so plump now, but still a little. If you need a great place to help motivate you and help you understand your from and body better this is the place!!!

The gym itself is great as well with a good variety of machines, free weights, bands and TRX. Parking out front is a huge plus. Jeff/Core Progression will match you with a trainer based on your schedule and goals. I highly recommend Liz and Core Progression to anyone looking to up their fitness through one-on-one sessions or group training!

Small classes & individualized attention is something that really peaked my interest in this facility. The trainers at the facility are more than willing, and instinctive in individualizing form and difficulty. The small classes really help in appropriate form correction which doesn't happen at all at "big-box" gyms I've been to. I also strongly appreciate the availability of nutrition coaching as well as a physical therapist and chiropractor on site in the facility.

Updated Review: I absolutely loved my time here training with Oscar. He helped me not only get stronger but form a knowledge base that I’ve applied to my weight training today and still continue to do at my local planet fitness. However, the management here is extremely poor. I’ve witnessed a couple of times where they treat their trainers unfairly and rude comments as I was training. They do not listen to the needs of clients as I’ve expressed countless times I cannot afford another contract and do not want to proceed further with the company and they continue to send emails and calls to my personal cell.
The trainers here are wonderful but the management is very money hungry.
Do not recommend having a contract with them as they will always insist another.

The manager, Jeff, is my trainer. I have followed him from two previous gyms. I can't say enough positive things about him. With his training, support and cheerleading, I'm in the best shape ever. And...I'm over 40. This is a great gym for someone who appreciates small classes that are intense without being pretentious. Jeff and the other personal trainers are top notch. I also really appreciate that there's plenty of parking in front of the gym...a rarity in Old Town.

I recently participated in a 6-week challenge hosted by Core Progression. I had been looking for a way to kickstart losing some weight and getting in shape, which this challenge was able to provide. Jeff worked with me to start the program which included a semi-custom meal plan, recipes and counseling on my goals. Through the 6 weeks, I participated in group classes, doing two morning Speed & Strength classes with Kelly, and an afternoon Core class with Matt. I was very impressed with the level of knowledge that everyone had and taught us. Beyond the actual exercises, both Kelly and Matt were able to adapt workouts for me as needed given my physical situation, and were also able to give me guidance and stretches that helped to make the classes a relatively painless experience, both during and in the days after. After the 6-week challenge was completed, I had lost 23.3 pounds, 15% more than my original goal. All in all the group at Core Progression are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and down-to-earth, which made for an exceptional place to work towards getting in better shape. I cannot express adequately enough how pleased I was with the process and the results!

Core Progression (CP) offered a 6 week challenge, lose 6% body fat or 20 pounds in 6 weeks for free. CP set the terms, so for me, it was 6% body fat. Day one you take your weight and provide identifiers, age/height, and CP used a device you held in your hands that would measure the body fat. I started out at 22.7%. CP allowed you to take group classes they offered every day. You login to an App and pick the class you want to attend, i.e. Movement and Mobility, Hardcore, HIIT, and then reserve your spot. Class sizes were around 8 people. The classes seemed to be based off of a circuit plan. About 4-8 exercises that you rotated through and repeat. The instructors are very knowledgable, and if any exercise is not doable for you they will replace it with an alternate. CP also provided a Nutrition Plan. It was pretty straight forward. It's not too stringent, and there are good choices. Did I make the goal? Yes I did. At the end of 6 weeks I was down to 16.1% body fat and had lost 17+ pounds.

I have tried many gyms and it's always hard to find the right fit between the workouts and trainers. I can honestly say that Core Progression in Arvada has met every expectation I have in a gym. The workouts are challenging and effective. The other members are encouraging and fun. And above all, the trainers are phenomenal; Jeff, Oscar, and Matt have been some of the best trainers I've had. They each have their own style which keeps it interesting, they are great at pushing you to the next level, and the support they give is like none other. Thanks for such a great experience!

I have never written a review for anything before, but I feel strongly about Core Progression and the staff they currently have working there. Jeff, the manager, has been helpful since the minute I walked in the door. The classes are what I have been attending for the past month and they are wonderful. I haven't had the same workout twice. I have experienced 3 different trainers and they all bring something new to the classes they teach. Kelly and Matt are great, motivating instructors and I love their classes. I will admit i was nervous to start, but at Core Progression you can have no experience and the trainers will show you what to do, and make you feel comfortable...it's an intimidation free environment. I can't say enough about Core Progression...it's a great place to find your fitness!

My mom and I decided to join this gym after hearing about it through my little brothers football team. Together we are currently in week 4 of a 6 week challenge. I have never in my life been able to find a gym or a trainer that made me feel welcome or comfortable, until I joined core progression. In these 4 weeks I have already seen and felt the difference not only in my body image, but in my mindset towards the gym, endurance, strength,and my confidence in myself. Core progression has taught me that I'm capable of anything and having such incredible and supportive trainers work by your side is truly awesome. Not to mention the elite nutritional plans designed for our bodies specifically and workouts that are fun, high intensity,and challenging. I've never been so thankful to find a gym that has allowed me to come into their gym family and be a part of it and push me to do greater things. (I drive 30 minutes one we at to come to this gym.... That says something.....)

I rarely, and I mean rarely, give 5 stars. This place has earned 5 stars! After having the best trainer in the world 4 years ago, I have been searching for someone (or a place) to meet my criteria, and the bar was set pretty high! I'm in week 4 of a 6 week challenge and I can already see significant improvements in my strength, endurance and weight loss! The workouts are fun but challenge you. The nutrition plan takes the guess work out of calories and is easy to follow. The employees are top trainers, with the education, knowledge and experience to back up what they are teaching. From the first time I met with Jeff, the manager at this location, I felt comfortable and encouraged, and most of all, not judged. What a friendly and supportive atmosphere--Highly recommend!

I started at Core Progression about 5 weeks ago. I am really enjoying the workouts so far. Jeff was so welcoming and kind when I first came in and had me assigned to a trainer really quickly. Matt is amazing and has really pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of doing - he also makes each session SUPER fun! Love this gym! Matt rocks! I would recommend this gym to anyone, beginner or advanced - worth every penny.

Like any other personal training gym -except the trainers are AWESOME. They boast to have the best in the business and their claim doesn't fall short. I've been to a few different gyms and trainers, mma, crossfit, etc and they all have their thing but Core Progression makes a special effort to know your capabilities and your goals. They give you the knowledge to get the most out of each workout. My favorite thing is how knowledgeable each trainer is and how varied/targeted the small class workouts are.
You will immediately feel welcome at this gym. If you're looking for a place to get you to the next level, look no further!
