This place is just top notch. I worked with Jake to get signed up for a program with semi privates & privates with Jordan and Jasper and I am SO glad I decided to jump in and do this. It has been such a great experience working with Jordan on 1:1 training, she is extremely thorough, personalized to the goals I have, and always makes sure to show me how and why our sessions are structured the way they are, why she chooses the exercises she does all while giving me the confidence to keep moving. Such a great trainer. I have also really enjoyed the semi-privates (group sessions) with Jasper, he keeps the group engaged, is very creative with our workout plans, and makes the group class dynamic super fun and very effective. Jake has also been so helpful, accommodating and communicative with making sure I’m happy with the cadence/structure of my training and was so thorough in helping me evaluate my goals and get set up for success. I’m so happy I decided to take the plunge and get involved with the Core Progression Rino community. Such a great gym, top notch trainers who are very well educated in their fields, and I can already tell just a few weeks in how effective this is going to be towards my goals. Core RiNo is just built different. I’ve trained with Laura the past few months and she’s helped me completely reshape body- how I move and lift. Highly recommend! Plenty of equipment and great training program. I have always been shy to get out and workout publicly due to always being so skinny but am changing that here finally with good goals and a workout plan. After working with Mike Farley, the director of training and nutrition at Core Progression in RiNo for over a year, I have nothing but praise for him and the rest of the trainers at this location. Not only is Mike insanely knowledgable, but he is able to break everything down and simplify it for people at any point in their fitness journey. From the beginning of my time training at Core Progression, I felt a sense of excitement prior to every session. It now feels like every time I work out there, I'm amongst friends.

It's been a couple of months since I left Core Progression Rino due to complications with work and scheduling. I always looked forward to going in as everybody was so welcoming. I can say that to date, I still use all the tools I learned from Mike. Not only did Mike teach me about working out, but he also changed my perspective on food. You can really tell he knows and enjoys what he is doing. Going to Core Progression changed my mindset on working out and being healthy. I've never felt better.

I’ve always been in and out of gyms, never really finding anything that stuck or showed results. But when I came to Core Progression, Jake introduced me to Carlos, and everything just clicked.
Carlos knows exactly how to push me without overdoing it, and the fitness plan is realistic but challenging. I even signed up for nutrition, and for the first time, I’m actually following a plan I don’t hate.

After I hurt my back, I needed a nutrition and training program that wouldn’t push me too hard but would still help me regain strength and recover from my injury. I feel Jake really cares. He took the time to listen (rare these days). My trainer Lauren has been incredible. Lauren understands how to work around my limitations while still challenging me. Juan built out a fitness plan that’s been perfect for improving my endurance and strength for long treks, plus he gave me solid nutrition advice to keep me fueled for those all-day hikes. Updating my original review. There are some fantastic trainers here, like Meg, Kelsey, Brian, and I can personally vouch for Jasper - he’s incredible. Awesome guy who’s knowledgeable, committed, and cares about his clients.
My review was 5 stars, but since I’ve honestly struggled with the management here. Their software is unusable and the contracting feels more intent on pushing SaaS like deals to recognize revenue than accommodating clients and accepting the nature of training. I didn’t appreciate being locked into a contract, having a legitimate physical injury towards the ends of 6 months paying high monthly fees, and then feel like I had to compromise to get what I paid for while still paying for a contract.
Within its own rules the gym was flexible with me, but when talking to people at other gyms since, they get comparable service with fewer restrictive policies and often lower rates 🤷♂️
Update: noticed a response to my review a couple years later. My experience didnt go from “amazing” to “ok”, the trainers I can vouch for were always terrific but the business behind this gym seems clueless. The gym manager technically changed, but overall management is the same. The owner called me on my cell unprompted months after I stopped going and asked if I could increase my review to 5 stars. Didn’t offer me a couple free sessions or do anything to materially change my mind. Bad look.

Core Progression Rino helped me gain strength and confidence in just 2.5 months. I was part of the semi-private workout program, which means you get to train with up to 4 other people. It was really fun getting to do it with a larger group, since I don’t really like working out alone. And, I still got the 1:1 attention from the trainer! (Sometimes, it was just me at the session, so you get a private session for a portion of the normal cost!)
The trainers are super knowledgable, especially More, Chris, and Mike. They make sure to cater the workout for what your goals are, paying attention to any injuries, and they motivate you along the way. I also really loved how they modified the workout if you feeling less energetic that week. As a female, the energy fluctuations definitely happen, and they’re attentive to that if you are open.
In terms of gaining strength, I’m super happy with my results. I gained 3+ pounds of muscle in 2.5 months! I also went from a 60lb hip thrust to 155lb, which is over my body weight. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the help of the trainers by working out at my own apartment gym.
I had to quit because I moved, but I would highly recommend for anyone! Whether you’re a current or previous athlete, looking to gain strength or tone up quickly, you’re looking to lose weight, or train to help an injury, Core Progression Rino is the place for you!

I attended a group workout with the Black Ice Women’s Rugby team — dang! I’ve had several surgeries lately and all of the trainers were very accommodating of my physical abilities. The workout included a dynamic warm up, arm stations separate from leg stations, and ended the workout with core exercises and stretching. My heart rate was elevated, and it felt like I worked all the muscles in my body. I also enjoyed the socializing afterwards when we were able to chat with the trainers. Love the vibe!

I've been with Core Progression since April and started during one of their promotions. I had just come back from knee surgery and didn't really know where to start in regards to taking care of my body. My regular gym routine felt like a blur — I didn't know how to plan a full workout, what weights to throw around, and my form was questionable at best. This lack of direction left me uninspired to prioritize my well-being. In a hail mary attempt, I decided to give Core Progression a shot.
After signing on and meeting the awesome staff, like Marie and Charlie, I was lucky enough to get connected with Aubrie.
Aubrie brings a great balance of support and firmness, always pushing me to finish and celebrating all wins, no matter the size. She is a wonderful listener, and understood all of my needs/how I like to learn within a matter of a few short weeks with her. Her sessions are always sprinkled with a sense of humor, which I can definitely appreciate.
Aubrie's attention to detail is showcased in a multitude of different ways - whether it be breaking down a new form, making modifications on the fly for soreness, or preparing individual workouts I can do outside of the gym. I truly feel like she is in it for the long haul, and not just during our sessions. It's no coincidence that a majority of her clients reciprocate that investment by showing up to her weekend group workout events.

6 star gym!! I initially joined two years ago, with the goal of gaining muscle and integrating weight training into an existing cardio heavy work out regimen. I filled out the form on their website so I could make a consultation appointment to learn more about their program and cost. Immediately after filling it out I got a text from their “gym line” and I asked a question about the consultation. They responded and then it went downhill from there. I let them know I was out of town on vacation and they continued to text me, not about training but asking me loads of questions about my vacation. I responded a few times to be polite but I was on vacation, so I wasn’t exactly enjoying how persistent they were. I made my consultation appointment and they continued to text me about unrelated things. Day of my appointment, I get a voicemail from them that said we’ve been trying to text you but haven’t heard back and am I still interested. I have an appt in 2 hours so yes, still interested. I went to the appt and I actually enjoyed it. I thought the program sounded good and the facilities were nice, but let them know I needed a few days to look everything over. They tried to get me to sign that day because “someone might take your spot if you wait”. Then they continued to text and call me. Finally a few days later, I let them know my decision was not to move forward as I couldn’t afford the program at this time. I thanked them for their time and unsubscribed from the texts. It didn’t stop there because the manager decided at that point she should email me and hone in on my insecurities and make me feel bad for not signing up. This felt like bullying and I honestly felt harassed for the whole week. Please rethink your sales strategy because this is not it.

I have been a member at core progression in rino for two months and I can say coming here is the favorite part of my week. I started coming during a very low season of my life and every single employee has been so welcoming, kind, and cheers me on every time I go.
Marie, the GM (?) is so amazing she will work with you to ensure you are financially signing up for what you have the bandwidth for- no paper pushing or gimmicks here! She’s also always around for a good heart to heart (love you!).
My trainer is Meg and she is so knowledgeable about anatomy and body mechanics. This is my 4th time having a trainer and I’ve never worked with someone who had such a broad range of expertise. I have my butt kicked every single session and never walk away thinking “I could’ve programmed that myself” (and I’ve also been a PT before). She adjusts our workouts to my needs and abilities for the day and still I get my butt whooped. She’s also become my therapist and friend and sometimes is the only positive thing about my week. I also love that I was upfront about not wanting nutrition pushed on me (big foodie) and I love that I am not pressured nor shamed to be eating like a rabbit.
I haven’t dived into the social aspect quite yet but they have member events and encourage us to socialize with each other and I’m excited for that as well- community is everything!
I love this place so much I immediately signed up for a longer program after a couple weeks. It’s also walking distance to some great post workout fuel!

Edited because I feel the new management is leading this gym in a way that feels dishonest. I attempted to cancel my membership by providing the required amount of notice per my contract. Management informed me that I was on a 6 month contract (which was inaccurate and n was not something that I was informed of or anything that I agreed to) and that I would be charged for the three months’ remaining that would have gone unused. I fortunately held on to a copy of the agreement that I signed a year and a half prior and had to go back and forth with management and read the contract verbatim to the manager before they would honor the termination of my contract, per my signed agreement. The whole experience felt very predatory and dishonest, especially since they also had the same copy of the agreement and decided to attempt to hold me to a newer contract that I never signed. Jasper is a great trainer but I worry about the quality of this business declining if management continues behaving in this way.
Original: I've always been a bit intimidated by gyms --especially the free-weights section of gyms. Core Prog is the first gym I've been to where I haven't experienced this intimidation. I've worked with Jasper now for about 5 months, and I have learned so much about form, function, and anatomy. I appreciate that he explains the benefits of the movements and uses a lot of compound exercises to really hit multiple areas targeting my fitness goals. Jasper's also just a very kind and cool human and has been more than patient with my hectic schedule. I've noticed a massive improvement in the way I feel, and I can say that I'm no longer intimidated by free weights in gyms!

Meg is a 10/10 trainer!
I signed up for private training, 2x/week, for a year, and am a little over a month in. I can truly say this has been one of my best decisions. I was looking for accountability and consistency, which I definitely get. What I didn't realize would also be so beneficial is the wealth of knowledge Meg has about movement and form. I sprained my ankle outside of training about two weeks in and thought surely we'd have to pause sessions. Meg totally adapted to my needs and kept us on track. She also continues to improve my form, which will prevent injuries long term and ensure I'm actually progressing.
If you're looking for a supportive community with great trainers who know what they are talking about, Core Progression is it. And, I cannot recommend Meg enough. I am so excited to see what a years' worth of training will do for me!

Overall my experience could have been better, but there were positives. My trainer was great. She really pushed me to achieve my fitness goals and was flexible to work with. I also thought the owner seemed like he meant well despite the outcome of the experience detailed below. He clearly cares very much about his clients and the outcomes that his business is able to deliver for them on their fitness journeys.
I wanted to explain in detail my experience with Core Progression - Rino because it largely turned what was otherwise a positive experience into a negative one. I came in for a free consultation at Core Progression Fitness in February of 2023. I told the GM at the time, we will call him S for simplicity, about my goals and he described the training environment which sounded appealing to me. My one reservation about signing up was that I had just started a lengthy interview process for my dream job. If I got the job I would need to move out of state so I was hesitant to sign up for any program because of this big uncertainty in my life. S recommended I sign up for the year long membership and said that if I got this specific job and needed to move that the membership could be terminated free of charge as long as I provided documentation of my address change to management. This is where I made a mistake, by not asking S to put this in writing. In early March, S was replaced as GM of this Core Progression location. I transparently communicated the arrangement I thought I had with S to my trainer who then assured me management was aware. Several months later in early June I got the job I mentioned earlier and decided to take it so I informed management of my decision in writing. The new GM immediately assumed a very hostile attitude towards me and said they would not honor this provision of my agreement because it was not in writing. She threatened to send me to external collections if I did not buy out the remainder of the year long contract and was generally very antagonistic and hostile. I felt like this was dishonest and predatory behavior because even if the agreement was not codified in writing all parties had been aware of it for months and the Core progression team never told me they had no intention of honoring the agreement. Eventually I reached out to the owner. He was more level headed and it felt like we were at least discussing the issue in good faith. Eventually after discussion and I ended up paying the buyout fee (about $2k). This still left a bad taste in my mouth because if upon my initial visit S had said "sorry we cant honor your request" I would have gone elsewhere so it felt a lot like I was being intentionally misled. The owner also offered to keep a note on my account so that if I ever move back to the area we could come to some arrangement to enable me to continue training with a credit of sorts because of my initial contract which I viewed as going above and beyond to try to rectify the situation.
This experience taught me to a.) be careful about who you trust and b.) get everything in writing. At the same time, this experience ignited my fire for personal training and I continue to work with a trainer in my new location. I also do not think my experience is completely reflective of what customers should expect at Core Progression now given how much work the owner has done to improve the business.

I went to their wine and workout class! It was a great way to get to know Core Progressions' philosophy behind fitness and nutrition as well as get to know some of the trainers at Core Progression RiNo. Both trainers were motivating and provided outstanding workouts. One trainer Aubrey took extra time to answer questions I had about form and technique. After the workout, I took a tour of the gym! It was very clean and had outstanding equipment. When I asked about nutrition they told me about their individualize approach and gave me a book called Mindless Eating. I am so excited to continue to work with the trainers and staff members at Core Progression!!

Assuming they pay attention to these, Core will counter this review and reiterate contract, contract, contract. When I signed up initially, it was for twice a week. Started with one trainer who quit, then another who had to leave for personal reasons/but also mentioned being treated poorly with their situation while on leave - similar take from the first trainer who reported being treated poorly. Was then given another trainer who was on her way out the door. Then given another trainer who had Saturday availability only. Not a convenient time for me.
Needed to break the contract for several reasons, being out of work, and just life circumstances overtaking the need to work out. They brought up what you'd expect, contract, pay half of balance to get out of it, be sent to collections, the corporate line as they are directed to do so. Essentially, I was told there is no way to break it for any reason due to corporate policy.
They were kind enough to restructure it to once a week with a new year long contract.
That being said, my recommendation would be to read the entire contract either in front of them before signing or take it home and review it thoroughly. That much is on me. But also be prepared to work with a trainer who will soon be gone. The manager I was working with who signed me up also left for similar reasons as the first two trainers I had.
I'm glad to see others on here have had good experiences. But there is nothing good I can say about this place. If you know anything about working out, or put in the time to learn the basics, your money is far better spent on a gym membership.
Go anywhere else. Get more bang for your buck out of a gym where anyone can show you the basics, depending on what you're wanting to do (this is the route I took).

I have been training with Jasper at Core Progression for about 5 months now. I walked in the door having never experienced personal training before. I was seriously lacking in knowledge about proper form and about just building strength in general. Gyms have historically been intimidating places for me and my solo attempts at working out had seemed only to make my back pain worse, but training with an expert in a super positive environment has made all the difference! Jasper has such a thorough understanding of everything he asks me to do during sessions - he is constantly teaching, encouraging, correcting form, adjusting as needed - I feel like I am getting a real education and the variety of exercises in the workout he creates continually keeps it interesting. I feel stronger than I ever have, I have much better mobility, and I'm actually enjoying pushing myself with the guidance and support that's given here. No complaints, can't recommend it enough!

This has been my first experience with personal training and it has been beyond rewarding. Anissia is my personal trainer and she has been such a great fit for me. She is so good at pushing me as far as I can go during each workout. It was very difficult for me for the first few weeks, but now my training sessions with her are the best parts of my week. I have been completing workouts with her that I never would have been able to accomplish on my own. She had a ton of great cues that have really improved my form with the bigger lifts. My goals are strength training and gaining weight and she has helped me get great results with both.

I train with Meg and her attention to detail is impeccable making sure we get the most out of our time. She comes ready with a plan to meet your goals but also can also adjust on the fly. If you listen to your body and be vocal with her, she can turn the intensity up, down or move workouts around depending on how you feel, making sure we're getting some type of work done. You can tell how passionate she is about fitness and the human body as you work with her. She has a wellspring of knowledge that shows during our sessions.

As a retired athlete, it was hard to find the motivation to want to workout and get back into the gym after college. I have been training with Ryan for 3 months (1 hour, 3x per week) and have been able to find the joy in training again. He is super knowledgeable (always explains the "why" behind a movement), constantly pushing me to the right limits, and checking-in to see how I feel about the workout. I am really disappointed with how this company does business. They do not care about discrepancies within their contracts and only care about lining their pockets. I used to love coming here but after the difficulties I’ve had with management and my trainer getting fired due to he said/ she said situation. They clearly do not understand what it means to drive a customer service based business and I will not be recommending this business to any of my friends/colleagues.

I've been working with Jasper at Core Progression for almost 5 months, and I couldn't be happier with making the decision to do so. In the time we've worked together, I've seen substantial fat loss and reductions in body fat percentage. My strength has increased, I feel more confident with how I look, and I feel amazing. Jasper is the perfect balance of calm, patient, and motivating and really pushes you to work hard. I love the variety in the exercises that we do every session (except for the battle ropes haha!). I love the small, intimate feel at Core Progression. I've done personal training at larger facilities and it was always a struggle with equipment being available, and trainers running into each other. This is never an issue at Core Progression. Had lifted heavy before, but during covid developed shoulder issues and knee pain.
I don't have the time to create detailed plan, check movement limitations, and monitor proper stretching and form. Core covered all of this! It was an enjoyable experience that pushed me, and got me back to a point of self-sufficiency. Amazing experience! And oh added a ton of strength while getting form dialed in.

I’ve been training with Jasper S. for 5 months now and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to have made the choice to train with him. Not only have I lost body fat, built muscle and gained self-confidence but I’ve done it with the best trainer to lead me to the athleticism I’ve always wanted. Jasper is alway making sure I do the work and show progress without being a drill sargent. I’ve been working with Callie for a little over two months and I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer. I’m not really one of those people who enjoys working out, but Callie’s encouraging attitude has kept me accountable and has helped me continue working toward my goals. Callie is not only supportive, but it also flexible time-wise which is vital for me and my ever-changing work schedule. She is extremely knowledgeable and I always feel like I’m doing some serious work when I’m there! The facility is awesome and so is the staff. I have been with core progression over 6 months now and cannot recommend Chantel and the rest of the Core Progression RiNo staff more!
Having signed up during the pandemic, I was a little sketched out about going into a gym, until I visited Core Progression RiNo. It’s super clean, safe, and the staff is diligent about their protocols!
Chantel has been phenomenal getting me back up to speed (literally). As an ex D1 athlete that hadn’t worked out in years, I definitely put her training to the test. Not only have I become athletic again, I’ve lost weight, lost inches off of my waist, and have PR’d on weight goals I’d never thought I’d reach!
My experience with Core Progression RiNo has been nothing short of amazing. Aside from my positive training experience, they have pricing structures for all budgets, can accommodate with crazy schedules, and truly know what the are doing! I got connected to Core Progression through Chantel, through our ULAX team. Getting signed up to find a program that worked for my budget and time was extremely easy when working with Chantel. I train with Lauren 2x/week, and I always feel motivated to get to the gym and engage in a workout. Lauren is an expert at what she does and makes challenging workouts easy to follow. The team at core progression are awesome! It’s not just my personal trainer (Chantel) but all of the trainers take the time to get to know all the clients that come in to train. It makes it feel much more personalized whenever you are at the gym. Chantel and the team ensure to communicate well with trying to meet my personal goals but also make changes when and where needed. Chantel is supportive and consistently checks in throughout the week to help hold you accountable. She also ensures technique is perfected before moving up or to something more complex. Injured or discomfort? Chantel will implement new exercises to help with recovery and provide homework to get better faster. Well worth the investment in yourself!

Joining Core Progression has been the best decision I've made for my health and general well being. The staff is very knowledgeable and they truly care about teaching you how to exercise properly so you can get the best results. This is definitely more than just a gym membership and it's worth every penny. I was a little intimidated at first because I hadn't worked out in years, but that went away as soon as my first session started, thanks to the friendly and inviting atmosphere the staff and other clients create around you. I joined the semi-private class program and I was surprised to still get the full high-quality attention from the trainers, it's more than what I expected. I've been training at Core Progression 2x a week since Sept. 2020. I'm a former competitive soccer player and wanted to gain more muscle and tone up—I was paired up with my trainer Chantel, who, as a former competitive athlete herself, understood my goals and created a custom training plan for me. I came in with weak glutes, a sore lower back and couldn't do a single pull up. 10 months later, I can now squat 175 lbs., have no more lower back pain and can do 5 pull ups in a row unassisted. Chantel is super encouraging, friendly, funny, down-to-earth and pushes me past my limits because she knows I can handle it. When I come in having a bad day, she's also taken on the role of "therapist" in addition to trainer, listens patiently and offers advice. I'm super grateful with all the effort she puts in to helping me become a better version of myself. While my physical appearance has changed, my confidence has increased as well. I used to hate working out and going to the gym, but going to Core Progression has taught me the power of consistency and developing good habits. It truly has been a wonderful experience and I highly recommend Chantel as a trainer!

I am personally coming up on 7 months of training at core progression with my trainer Chantel, can’t speak highly enough of the gym and of her training! When I started up in the end of 2020 it had been years since I had been to the gym but Chantel customized a program for me that suited my needs perfectly and helped address some problem (pain) areas including my lower back and wrist. I am essentially pain free from both now as a result of my working towards strengthening those problem spots. If you are looking for a personalized/one on one training in Denver you definitely need to look into core progression (and Chantel!)

When I was looking for a personal trainer, I knew that I wanted to center my training around Olympic Lifting. I was very excited to find Core Progression and Jeremiah to help me reach my goals. Jeremiah is very knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition and making a life long changes for a healthier lifestyle rather than going on a “diet”. I feel like I have made more progress in Olympic Lifting in the past few months than I did in a year of training elsewhere due to Jeremiah’s knowledge, experience and willingness try multiple different ways to break down the movements to improve each part of the lift. I had a specific set of muscle groups I wanted to work on when we started, and she continues to come up with plans to evolve with my goals, capabilities, and occasional aches and pains! Absolutely the best treatment I have ever received anywhere in Colorado! I needed a weight gain plan. Monica the manager arranged everything for me. First, she formally introduced me to the nutritionist Lauren so we can discuss in detail how and what exactly I wanted to do. After logging a journal of my eating habits, Lauren set up a personal meeting (almost 2 hours long). In the meeting Lauren had created a detailed personal diet plan based on my eating habits and my goals. Also, both Lauren and Monica were always in direct contact with me to make sure I was doing what needs to be done. Those two ladies are professional in what they do and will go above & beyond to make sure you are getting your money's worth while receiving an experience you can only dream about elsewhere. I highly recommend!! This place deserves a minimum of 100 stars.

There are many choices when it comes to gyms in the river north (RINO) area but I am more than happy with my choice to train at Core RINO. From the very first meeting I felt like the team made me feel like they cared, and honestly they make it so easy to sign up so many different options from private training to semi private they have options for everyone.
