This was my first time visiting this location, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any CorePower. I arrived on time for the 10:30 AM class and spent a minute checking in. When I entered the studio, I immediately noticed a dirty towel shoved under the side door, sweat stains on the wall, and air that felt heavy and unclean — not what I’ve experienced at other CorePower studios.
The instructor, Julie, was unnecessarily rude from the start. While I was adjusting my mat at the beginning of class, she leaned over and told me to be quieter. Throughout the class, she repeatedly singled me out for small corrections, which felt targeted and made me uncomfortable. Even when I paused to take a sip of water, she gave me judgmental looks.
The air quality was bothering me, so I stepped outside for a moment to catch my breath. Julie followed me out and told me I could either stay in class or leave. I told her that I didn’t like the air quality and she excused the unclean air as “humidity.” When I mentioned that I planned to contact corporate about the experience, she responded sarcastically, saying she’d tell them I was a bad student. That kind of response was incredibly unprofessional and condescending.
When I went back inside to grab my things, she tried to escort me out while I was putting on my socks and shoes, insisting I do it outside — on the concrete, which is unsanitary. I told her that was unreasonable, but she kept pushing me to leave. It was an unnecessary and unpleasant way to handle the situation.
Another staff member later implied I was late, even though I arrived right at 10:30 when class was supposed to start.
I’ve practiced hot yoga at other CorePower locations and have always had great experiences, but this Aurora studio needs serious improvement in professionalism, cleanliness, and respect toward guests. After posting this, I also noticed that I’m not the only one who’s had a negative experience with Julie — another reviewer mentioned similar concerns, which says a lot.

Love Corepower Yoga Aurora. However, recently they constantly change classes so I cannot rely on a schedule. That is very hard for someone who works 40 hours a week and squeezes in favorite classes when possible. I have been a member for 16 years since it opened, but this is very difficult! Additionally, some instructors don’t have it as heated yoga due to their preference, So then I need to find different classes in the metro area, Tough to keep a consistent practice in my favorite studio in Aurora

I've had generally extremely positive experiences here. Today was no different, as I got to experience a really cool motown-themed curated playlist from Theilah, as Amanda conducted the hot power fusion class! Such an amazing class today!!!

Just signed up for a membership at this studio because of how great my experience has been! I am a runner trying to branch out and do more mobility work and their classes are amazing! All the instructors I’ve met are knowledgeable and welcoming. Excited to spend more time here!

Great yoga studio. The instructors are very nice and they let you adjust for your needs/pace. I took a 90 minute hot yoga class and fell asleep for a bit and my instructor was totally fine with it. Studio is always clean and well organized.

One of the worst classes I’ve been to. I’ve had great experiences at this studio up until now. Julie W. was controlling and trying to force me to do poses when I was making modifications for what my body needed. I have done yoga for 15 years and have never had an instructor do this to me. I will not be taking her class again.

Booked a class for 1130. Now it's 1135, no one is here and door is locked. I never got a cancelation notice. Called customer service, all they said was they don't know why it's locked and we will email you:/ disappointed

No talking allowed? I was visiting from out of town and was so excited to try corepower yoga. I convinced my friend to join me and we were talking before class while we sat our mats. One of the regulars (?) then angrily motioned to me with her finger to her mouth, telling me to be quiet, and told me if I wanted to talk to go in the hallway. I’m thankful that the yoga studios back home have a friendlier vibe. They learn our names, use them, and encourage us to get to know each other before class. Apparently you aren’t allowed to talk at this studio. They really should put up signs to warn new folks, so you don’t unknowing break the rules and get yelled at. I felt very unwelcome and didn’t go back the next day like I had planned. Totally disappointed. After the pandemic we need more community, not less of it!

First time visitor to CorePower. Treated super well, and the instruction was fantastic. So far I've attended classes taught by Heather and Michelle. Heather's classes were conveyed with grace, and Michelle's class was the funnest flow class I may have ever attended. Fantastic workouts all around. Great place to check out and get a membership to if you live in the area!

I’m so sad that today was my last yoga class at this location. Michelle and Ellen are probably my favorite teachers here, but everyone here makes you feel really welcome whether you’ve just started practicing or have practiced for many years!

It’s closed and I tried to call them but is on and on the recording messages and there is no way to know if a real person can answer and give me information. I do not know if it’s temporarily closed or not.

One employee was very rude and racist to me. I do not know how to spell her name but it was something like Tammy. I think she should be fired for I felt as I have experienced a hate crime.

My favorite yoga studio—just wish I lived in this state and could go all the time! Love the availability of hot yoga and power yoga classes. This is truly a full body workout. The instructors led classes where I could keep up as a beginner, and also offered more challenging options for the experienced. Love love love!

This is my go to studio, every one of the instructors are absolutely lovely and well versed in all alternate poses for your own level of flexibility. I love that all of the instructors really take the time to talk with you after class to check in and offer positive feedback on your progress! Michelle, the owner, is just delightful and I’ve really loved working with Gwendolyn, Julie and Patty!
The yoga room is really well lit and spacious and always clean, as are all of the changing rooms. Plus their merch section is really great!

Love this studio! Clean, friendly teachers, and great atmosphere. Corepower made me love yoga, and now that I've moved away, I am really missing having a studio like this one close by. Corepower, please open more studios in Northern VA!

The class offerings aren't great for beginners or those not wanting hot yoga. If you're looking for a standard yoga center, this isn't it. I'd recommend more classes in regular temperatures.

CorePower Yoga never made me feel pressured to join or become a member, everyone was excited I was in the right direction to a healthier life. I feel like that should be the ambiance at any fitness center. I am so comfortable and the instructors are WONDERFUL. I am inspired after every class to love my body. I recommend Core Power to everybody, it does not matter your skill level they will help you with a class that is fit for you!

I haven't been to this location yet. This is a critique of the website. My experience is based on using the note 3. Decent sized screen for a phone. I'm new so what I want to know when I'm visiting a new yoga site; what are membership/class costs, the class descriptions, and the schedule. I could not find the schedule at all? Click on class/membership and a nonsense page comes up and you have to click again to get to the page you want. No reason just an annoying waste of time. This is the same when clicking on class descriptions. It's s simple matter of mobile user experience (UX).

I joined Corepower with a Groupon, and have been hooked ever since! I loved that I got a free week of unlimited classes for being a new member and with so many locations across the city, trying new classes was a breeze! They have a variety of early morning and late evening classes to fit my crazy schedule, and Jen-the manager of the Aurora studio- was FANTASTIC in assisting to custom fit a membership for my needs. I go to Corepower every day and am never disappointed. The teachers are always very approachable, personable, and knowledgable. They offer hands on assistance if I want it, and always acknowledge me by name. In addition, they offer tons of members rewards events and promotions. I love this studio!

I had been in search of a yoga studio for a good 6 months and every where I went was wonderful, but just not giving me what I needed. I moved to Aurora, and saw the Core Power Aurora close to me, and figured it was work a try with the one week free. I had no idea how satisfied I would be! The classes are great, the instructors are amazing, and the atmosphere is calming yet energizing at the same time. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions at Core Power Aurora, and if you haven't been in yet, you certainly should come in and try. You will love it too.
