I went with my friend Monday night and it was a great experience. We focused on the theme of grounding. I really enjoyed the practice and our teacher was great at giving tips and reminders to lower our shoulders and not sink into poses. It was really thoughtfully and well done. If I lived in the area I would have loved to go more often. The music was not too loud, the teaching was mindful and the plants were a great touch. Don't forget to take your shoes off when you go in. They have a sliding pay scale and it is accessible to a wide variety of folks. There is a bathroom in the hallway and there are stairs to go up. I am not sure if there is another accessible route but I did not notice it. Just keep in mind the door is on the right hand side of the restaurant. We ran into the person who was closing the bulk container store and they helped give directions. Overall a great experience! They have extra mats, towels, blocks and mat cleaner to use as well. Since I was from out of town it really was helpful.

Every-time I’ve taken a class or workshop at Courageous, I’m always reminded of the amazing community that thrives within its walls. I leave the space feeling more centered in my physical body and also in my heart center. 🖤 If you’re looking for a new studio to explore or interested in yoga teacher training, this is a beautiful place to land.

Courageous Yoga is an amazing and accommodating yoga studio for all! I'm still a newbie when it comes to yoga, but Jordan's classes have always made me feel welcome and supported.

During class, Jordan also ensures that we're feeling the intention behind the movements and also providing real time accommodations for the not as flexible! I always leave Jordan’s yoga classes feeling calm and relaxed.

I absolutely love this studio!! I take Contemporary Movement Exploration with TJ on Tuesdays (lifelong dancer here, woot woot!) and All Experiences Vinyasa with Jordan on Sundays. They are both BRILLIANT teachers and just the absolute best human beings. Every time I get to come to class, it's truly the highlight of my week.

Their values of connection, compassion, and courage are truly evident in every faucet of this studio's operations. As students, we're not just taught to embrace the physical movement. We're encouraged to reflect, play, reimagine, challenge, love, and so much more. I'm so grateful to attend classes here!

Stunning space with experienced teachers. Make sure to give yourself extra time than what the schedule says as the class I went to ran over...plus extra time gives you space to connect with the teacher before and after.

Jordan Smiley is an amazing teacher, one of the best out of the hundreds of Yoga classes I have taken. Jordan is highly skilled at verbal cues and attention to alignment and detail within each pose. The space is intimate, friendly, and mindful. I highly recommend.

I’ve been attending restorative yoga at Courageous for about 5 months now and it is the best part of my week. As a non-binary human this studio makes me feel safe, seen & celebrated. By building a repeated ritual at Couragous I’ve been able to access & connect with my body and mind in ways that I haven’t before. I feel refilled, grounded, and connected with myself every week. What a gift.

I can easily and confidently say that Courageous Yoga is the best Yoga studio in Colorado! Jordan leads with kindness, compassion and so much wisdom. I had the honor of taking a Yoga Teacher Training here and I cannot recommend it enough! Whether you want to become a teacher, or just want to deepen your practice, this is the place to do so! Jordan’s vinyasa classes are always challenging, but rewarding. He always offers options allowing accessibility to all bodies. This is an LGBTQIA friendly and welcoming environment. I have taken from quite a few of the teachers that Jordan has hired, and they are all well-rounded and bring their own hearts to the space. They also offer a dance improv class Friday nights with TJ, and it is the perfect place to go and let your heart be free. 12/10 recommend. Please go.

My body, soul, and spirit are so happy after I take classes here! I’ve been taking Jordan’s classes for a few years and I love how he does more challenging vinyasa flows and roots every class in a theme that reminds me to change my perspective. I also appreciate how inclusive they are and their mission to increase diverse representation in the yoga community!

Had the pleasure to take a workshop called "Bending the Binary," this past weekend! As a tactile, social & visual learner, I was worried about absorbing new material via zoom. Jordan did a great job balancing when we'd read content and then discuss (social learning). This felt inclusive to my learning abilities, hooray! There was an obvious effort to engage active listening and if the group breeze past something, Jordan would bring it back up again- ensuring students had a chance to speak, be heard, and learn.

There's still a lot to learn/unlearn/practice when it comes to gender & our environment. Especially an environment that's intended for wellness. So, as a teacher, lifelong student, and studio owner- it was worth it.

PS- It helps to have a friendly group! Everyone seemed kind and humor goes a long way. I'll be back!

Courageous yoga has opened up the entirety of my yoga practice. Practicing for over 10 years, I have been in many studios where I felt self-conscious, out of place, or struggled financially to even get through the door. Courageous breaks down the barriers to the complex world of yoga. They honor the deep roots of this practice and look to the future of inclusivity, equity, and justice in teaching. They have created a space where we can build community, heal ourselves, challenge ourselves. What a pleasure to be your student.

I've taken Jordan's classes on and off for years and have always left the studio feeling open, broadened and connected. For me, his teaching style integrates the true roots of yoga as an expansive and spiritual practice for living life. (Yes, with asanas included to support that practice.) I am completely over the moon that Courageous Yoga now exists. I am so thrilled so support the inclusive mission of this studio and to find a new yoga home that aligns with the truly life-changing benefits that a yoga practice can provide. Thank you, Jordan and team!

First indoor yoga class since the shutdown and I must say this space is beautiful. Clean, fresh, spacious, safe, inviting, comfortable, inspiring, the list goes on. So excited to have a space outside of my home to practice when the cold weather hits. But don’t wait until then, get to class and experience this new yoga home. Thank you Courageous Yoga!! 💖

Courageous yoga is an incredible studio, and one that I feel very welcome in. I followed Jordan here as I love not only his unique and intentional sequences, but also the way he treats students’ individual needs with the utmost importance. Taking Jordan’s class is not only an exploration of movement and of breath, but of what it is to be human. I come to class for all of these things, and am very excited to be a part of a community which is committed to equity and the practice of anti-oppression, as these are tied to important yogic principles. I have the space and true opportunity to grow here in a way I haven’t experienced before. I Would highly recommend taking a class here, the environment is warm, welcoming, and unlike anything I’ve experienced in the Denver yoga community.

I was a student of Kindness yoga for years and I went to Jordan’s classes. I will not support this studio because Jordan participated in an online smear campaign against the studio which resulted in hundreds of people canceling their memberships and the owner of Kindness getting threats. This is so unyogic. Also, since I’m not a BIPOC or LGBTQ, I’m not included in who’s welcome to attend. I knew Jordan or the other culprit in the Kindness attacks would take over the old Kindness studio. It was a very calculated move on your part to quit, attack Kindness and then magically start a gofundme for your new studio. Good luck with your unyogic ways.
