I've been going to CrossFit Beat for 3 months now and I can say with confidence that my life is changed. I went from being someone who identifies as always being weak and out of shape to really wanting to be at the gym everyday. I kid you not, I now go to CrossFit beat about 5x per week and I love it! Somehow Adam and his trainers were able to create this magical combo of a welcoming, friendly, and fun atmosphere with expert technique and advice that leaves me confident that I can push to my limit without risking injury. I couldn't recommend it more!

CrossFit Beat, Adam Knickelbein, and the entire crew at the gym are exceptional. If you attend this gym for personal training or group classes, you will get stronger, you will get more flexible, you will gain confidence, you will learn new skills and movements, and you will feel more energetic!

The best aspect of the gym for me is the coaching and personal attention. They really want you to learn to use the proper form for the exercises to prevent injury and to get all over body strength, power, and flexibility.

I was a bit hesitant to start CrossFit because I thought it could be a recipe for injury. CrossFit Beat and the coaching style is the exact opposite. They put form and safety as top priorities. It's also a very friendly and unintimidating environment. I think many people think CrossFit can be intimidating. Not the case here.

In the past, I utilized personal training at an LA Fitness gym. All they focused on was big weight and intensity for their 25-minute training sessions. At the end of a few months at that gym, I did gain some strength, but I also acquired some new injuries and aggravated some old ones. My personal training sessions with Adam were entirely different. His sessions are an hour long. He starts with effective and interesting warm up exercises and drills. Adam then moves into the skills section of the workout where he teaches new exercises focusing on proper technique. The majority of those exercises use multiple parts of the body and focus on movements that one would use in real life. After the skills section of the workout, Adam coaches you through a workout that will work your cardio vascular system and multiple muscle groups. The workouts are custom tailored to the individual's skill level. He cleverly crafts the workouts though to allow the client to push themselves and perform better than they expected. After this section of the training, Adam guides the client through some cool down exercises. At the conclusion of the hour, you've had a great, fun, and safe workout!
I just finished my 17th personal training session with Adam. Each session was completely different. I'm always impressed at the variety and freshness of each session. In this most recent session, Adam did repeat the same workout program that I did at my first training session with him. The point was to see if I had improved over the past 8 weeks. It was super satisfying. I increased the weights of all exercises and I did 35% more rounds in the same amount of time. In other words, the improvement gains were big and obvious.

Perhaps my favorite part of my training at CrossFit Beat is that the workouts prepare you for real life movements and demands and they will help you be stronger and feel better in your favorite sports whether it's cycling, hiking, climbing, or skiing.

They also have a great sound system and let the client pick the tunes that will motivate them through their workout.

I'm addicted to my workouts and sessions with Adam and am now training three times per week at his gym. I feel great and would highly recommend CrossFit beat, Adam, and the other team members to anyone at any fitness level. Give them a try!

This gym is totally phenomenal. The coaches go out of their way to help anyone regardless of where they are at with their physical fitness. Recently, I broke my left arm playing soccer. After a few weeks Adam, the head coach, emailed me and told me to get back in the gym. The coaches worked with me to alter workouts so I could still get exercise while my arm healed. The people here really care about building a community around physical fitness. If you're on the fence about CrossFit, give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

CF BEAT has it all: excellent coaching, fun workouts and a friendly community! Proper technique with attention to safety is part of every class. Small classes also allow for individualized guidance, and you never feel like you are just one of the masses. Programming is thoughtful with various modifications outlined up front to scale the workout for every member's ability. Workouts are also designed with opportunities to work on individual goals as well as periodically check benchmark performances to measure your progress. After being at much larger gyms, I have truly enjoyed getting to know everyone in the BEAT community. Adam and the team at CF BEAT have created a fun and welcoming gym, and Adam clearly has a passion for seeing everyone improve their fitness.

CrossFit Beat ROCKS! Running for many years had taken a toll on my body and I wanted to try a new fitness experience. The BeatBox delivered! Coach Adam and his team have helped me big time. I immediately saw big improvements in strength and mobility, and am able to set and achieve new goals with each WOD. They tailor the workouts to your ability and provide personal coaching so you feel comfortable while building strength and confidence. Plus, the members and community are fun, encouraging and super welcoming. If you’re curious about CrossFit, stop by the BEAT!

Thoroughly impressed with Crossfit Beat and coach/owner Adam. I was worried about worsening a previous injury when I joined, but Adam's attention to detail with every client soon allayed those fears. He was extremely conscious of each persons limitations and there is much focus on doing every exercise correctly. Could not recommend this crossfit gym more!

This is the Box you're looking for. This is my third Crossfit gym, and what I've learned is that there is as much difference between Crossfit coaches are there are between the WODs themselves. I'd heard of and experienced these memes, prior to my membership here: "crossfit is done to time, not to form"; "injury rates are high"; "Rule 1: you must talk about crossfit."

Adam is, by far, the antithesis of these comments: he doesn't care about weight or scores, he cares that you're doing the movements correctly and that you'll be back for the following day's WOD (ie not injured). After dealing with a recurring back injury from the Army and rugby, I was relieved to hear Adam relate his own issues with injury and his philosophy of "keeping use rates high" - where my former self used to ice and "stay off" an injury, my current (better) self is rolling, dynamically stretching, and moving through ranges of motion - and that's just the motivation outside the gym.

Inside, the workouts are varied and fun. Adam's use of mobile apps to coordinate, bill, and track workouts is super useful. He also schedules a bunch of out-of-gym activities in an admirable attempt to build community outside the walls of his facility, which is clean, well-equipped, and conveniently located for anyone working in Boulder. The class sizes are (currently) small, so it feels more like I get a personal trainer at 6 or 7 in the morning; he also has a great military and referral discount.

Get into this Box before it gets big (and it will); extremely happy to be a member of Adam's team as we gain numbers and strength.

Adam is a fantastic coach. Complex movements are fully deconstructed and drilled in sequences. Workouts are scaled to your own limitations and ability.

There is no pressure to push beyond what you're comfortable with, only encouragement and good instruction.

Crossfit Beat is great! They taught me the skills I need, and put up great workouts of the day. I was worried that Crossfit in general wasn't my sport, but Crossfit Beat turned that thought right around for me, and I love it!
